Google Drive full of book PDFs about Chernobyl
Link to the Google Drive if you don't want to click the title: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1kscKFciW6almJA8p-0sUQPO3c0A4AQYe
Note: It will be updated regularly - for as long as I'll be able to find/get new things =) So far I've compiled 41 books in three languages.
Just to repeat what I said in the first post: I'm open to any requests or suggestions or even PDFs themselves, if someone wants to share theirs from their collection. Message me, send me an ask, throw a rock through my window - whatever you prefer, just please, do it yourself because I'm too scared to message anyone, thanks. No fiction - that's the only rule. Any language is welcome - if you want me to look for a certain book in the language of your choice, I'll do that. If you have a book in language other than English, I'd love to add it to the Drive! If you have a better version of whatever PDF I've already got, then I'd be more than happy to do a swap.
Now, some of my reasoning, if anyone's interested: first of all, I think it's important for everyone to be able to access stuff like this. Think of it as a library, minus the "give these back" part. Secondly, I get soooo mad when people are like haha, found this super rare, basically impossible to find, very expensive book! ...I shall now keep it exclusively to myself. Ma'am, you're ruining the vibe and stalling everyone's hobby research but I guess you do you...

FERC approves plans to restart a second idled U.S. nuclear plant. (Heatmap AM)
Last month, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission gave the green light to restart a permanently shuttered nuclear plant for the first time in U.S. history, with plans to bring the Palisades atomic station in Michigan back online later this year. Now the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission has started the processto restart a second nuclear plant, the Duane Arnold station. The agency approved a waiver request on Monday that will allow utility NextEra Energy to restart the single-reactor nuclear plant in Iowa by the end of 2029.
NextEra closed down the plant in 2020 amid mounting financial challenges for the nuclear facility. But surging electricity demand and a newfound societal appreciation of the 24-hour, zero-carbon power atomic energy produces has put a new premium on keeping existing plants running, particularly given the high costs and long timelines associated with building new reactors. Last year, Microsoft agreed to spend $16 billion to reopen the idled reactor at the Three Mile Island plant in Pennsylvania to power its data centers. As Heatmap’s Matthew Zeitlin wrote at the time of the deal, “The days of nuclear power plants shuttering not because of old age, safety concerns, or local opposition, but because of the economics of subsidized wind and solar and cheap natural gas, are likely over.” On Monday, the Palisades plant officially transitionedfrom decommissioning status back to operations status.

P.S. Every mistake has its own surname...and because of the inaction of your political leaders, Putin was able to fund an army and nuclear weapons aimed at Europe with your gas and oil money. Thanks to the incompetence of your politicians, dictators and terrorists became more and more brazen...and your own politicians destroyed the German military industry and army from within. I am more than convinced that if NATO countries had met normal and effective defense requirements THERE WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN A WAR...
The shame of Western politicians is actually even greater than most can imagine, because already at the beginning of the 2000s, THE WEST RECEIVED ALL THE INFORMATION AND PROOFS THAT PUTIN WAS PREPARING FOR A WAR AGAINST THE WEST...

CGI memories:
Armenian autumn of 1995. The government decides to restart Metsamor Nuclear Power Plant, which sits in the shadow of Mount Ararat, on an active earthquake fault line in the country's farmland. It is the sister of Chernobyl, which is why it was shut down in the first place. During our summer training we were given emergency iodine pills to be taken if Metsamor melted down. There was no backup plan to get us out of the country if that happened. Armenia is small, Metsamor would take us all out, it was that simple.
