As you have read, NOL's updates are going to be slower now. We will post on Sundays, still- but every 2 weeks instead of weekly.

N is being buried in assignments and is trying to survive college, so yeah. There may still be times where a week update is missed.

And if I say you are reading it wrong, and this page actually makes total sense?

I saw people bashing the writer for a while on Twitter, and I couldn't help but bring this page there to discuss all criticism and explain what Jason had meant because hate comments towards Jason is insane and FOR WHAT, too! So, let's go through some points I had already heard on the Internet during this week.

1) "How dare Jason speak for other kids?"

Let's start with the most important point there: Jason does not necessarily actually want to talk about his siblings. He generalises the whole thing because it is his way to communicate about his own feelings. It is the same thing Bruce does through some comics — he puts his own feelings into a loud "we," even if the narrative doesn't always fit. People historically do that quite often when they need to feel more sure and secure in what they are talking about.

2) "Jason doesn't care about Gotham? Insane ass take"

It is not about his general feelings towards Gotham! It is about the Robin mantle and the intentional motivation to get into vigilantism. Jason loves and has always loved Gotham, and it is proven by some runs that he always finds a way to help his town, even in no capes!AU.

But this is a thing. In a perfect life scenario, Jason cares about Gotham by donation and some other charity stuff, by specfic profession, even. Not by jumping in suits. He loved Gotham, but not with the same self-sacrificing agenda with suits and fake identities as Bruce — he originally became Robin for him. To be loved and accepted. The magic the mantle gave him was family. Family and the safe place to live in.

It doesn't mean that he didn't enjoy his Robin days before the shit hit the fan. It doesn't mean that he doesn't love Gotham. Come on.

Bonus points that are very biased: funnily enough, I think he is not entirely wrong in general narrative. Most of the kids didn't start doing what they are doing now for Gotham specifically. Some of them didn't give much thought about this TOWN at the beginning of their journey. Some of them had different motivations and reasons, or circumstances. And that's OKAY. It doesn't mean that they don't care about Gotham now. It is about the original intentions and thoughts on that matter. They got attached to this city somewhere along the way, and it is beautiful and symbolic.

And yeah, they didn't jump into suits and mantle for Bruce's love as Jason did, but somewhere along this way, they also become depended on his approval and love. You can't deny it.

Reminder: This is still the first week of a new patch. Please be kind to others in your dungeon/trial/raid groups!

I really wish I didn’t have to write this post, but I feel compelled to after what I have heard from my friend not too long ago.

I was not there to witness it, but I heard from a good friend of mine that went as a DPS and was attempting the new Arcadion raids this evening. She was specifically in M7N, and she unfortunately was having a hard time with the mechanics and was dying a lot. She then said that there were two party members laughing at her and belittling her for not “keeping up” and “we need to just kick her”, etc. She did blacklist them, but she was distraught and she almost gave up completing this raid tier altogether.

Not that it should matter because the point of all this still stands regardless of the outcome, but the group ended up abandoning the raid because everyone kept wiping multiple times. Yeah, you heard me correctly. She was NOT the only one dying! EVERYONE was struggling to clear it!

So what I’m trying to say here is that this is still the first week of a new patch. Actually, today is only the SECOND DAY since this content went live! She and most likely most of the other party members were still doing the raid for the first time! The fact that there’s such toxicity where people are expecting others to know these mechanics on the second day boggles my mind, and it infuriates me to no end.

Here’s the takeaway: please remember to be kind to others in your groups, especially when they are new to the content and everyone is still trying to learn. This week especially is when a lot of the more casual players go through the content, including the normal difficulty raid content for the first time. And they should not be harassed when they are trying to learn the mechanics.

If you are a more hardcore player, I think this may apply even more so. The savage difficulty will come out next week, but this week is not just for other hardcore players, but there will be many casual players in your groups. Please be kind, and if you know the mechanics and others seem to be struggling, how about helping them out a little, perhaps try explaining the mechanics or offer some suggestions that might help you all clear the fight, instead of belittling others and making them feel bad for not knowing the mechanics the first time running the content.

tldr; Be kind. Don’t be an asshole.

sorry for the radio silence on day 5 post-challenge updates and puzzle week conclusions. I have not even Started any of the necessary grading or artwork.

my current priority is actually schoolwork? so. i have been. doing schoolwork and taking breaks to draw my other characters in the meantime. I will pick up work for day five today after I do my homework and you'll hopefully hear from me regarding the conclusion of this event by this weekend. God willing. No later than Sunday, April 20.

Sorry for dragging this out for all four evers, but thank you immensely for your patience and flexibility, especially regarding things like Me And My Major Mistake Of Accidentally Missing Four Sudokus. I would rather be a little late than cut corners on production quality to meet deadlines.

About the mod...

X've been thinking about this a lot. Normal mode is essentially 99% done. The only reason why X've been holding off on uploading the entire mod is because this blog hasn't reached Horror mode yet, but X really want you guys to be able to try out the game.

So the demo would only have Normal mode, while Horror mode will come later. It'll save mx the torment of keeping it all in AND it'll make room for mx to hear criticism about the mod and all that.

But X want to hear your opinions! Should X do it? Poll lasts a week!

if you may have noticed, I haven’t been posting recently. this is due to a break I needed with an incredible amount of schoolwork and stress in the past few weeks. however, as my school has ended, I am happy to announce that I will now be posting more often again!
