Tumblr media
it was a late night in mid-summer, and you and dallas were on the porch on the curtis brothers house. he wanted to go out for a smoke, and dragged you along. you were wearing his leather jacket, it was a windy night and you were getting chilly. dallas had goosebumps along his arms.
“are you sure you don’t want it back, dal?” you ask him, insisting on giving him his jacket back.
“nah, sugar, don’t want ya freezin’ to death out here,” he answers, taking a drag of his cigarette as he looks out at the empty street.
“i’ll just go inside, though, so you don’t get hypothermia or something..” you insist, but he grabs your hand and stops you.
“you’re fine, baby, stay with me.” you look up at him and nod, squeezing his hand a bit tighter.
you stand outside for a little while longer. it feels so peaceful standing there with him. his hand that’s rough and dangerous from the punches it throws is enveloping yours in a sweet gentleness shown only with you. his cigarette smoke becoming a mock mist that calms you both down. his deep breathes that are only heard because of how quiet it is.
nothing could ruin this moment.
you felt it was a good time to say the three words. not like you hadn’t said them before — it’s been a year since you’ve started dating, and you’ve both adored each other from the very start. but dallas got funny when you told him what he already knew. tonight would be different, you thought.
“.. i love ya, dal,” you say softly after a few moments of quiet. it felt casual — exactly what he would have wanted. but maybe not casual enough, because there was a short silence following your words.
eventually, he speaks. “i know ya do, sugar.”
you sigh. why is it that he could never stand to say it back?
he catches your sigh. of course he knows what you’re sighing about — he knows you all too well. he chooses not to act on it, not to apologize, not to say anything. he doesn’t want to fight with you. he just takes a drag of his cigarette and plays innocent.
“it would be nice to know that you loved me too, dallas,” you eventually say.
“oh c’mon,” another drag of his cigarette. “you ain’t an idiot, you know i do.”
“do i? i can’t remember one time you’ve said ‘i love you’ to me,” you cross your arms and look up at him.
“this isn’t somethin’ to get pressed on, y/n, the boys are inside and the windows are open,” he puts a hand on your shoulder, trying to get you to stop talking, to pretend like you’re okay. all because he doesn’t want his friends to hear. “and i have said it, baby, you’re just forgetting or somethin’.”
“you have not, i would remember if you have,” you counter, shoving his hand off of you. “i don’t want to argue, dallas, i really don’t—“
“too damn bad, y/n, because you’re sayin’ that i don’t love you, and we both know that ain’t true,”
“then say it.”
“..what?”
“you heard me,” you say. “it has been a whole year of us dating, and you’re never ready to say that you love me,” you raise your voice to get your point across.
“christ, y/n, you’re difficult, huh?” he groans. “it ain’t a big deal, don’t go throwing a tantrum.”
“i’m difficult? dallas, i don’t know if you get how a relationship works, but at this point, you either love me, or you’re done with me. there is no middle ground after this long together.”
“you’re fuckin’ crazy, i know how a relationship works, and i ain’t done with you. don’t go stickin’ words in my mouth,” his voice is raising, too.
“if you’re not done with me, then you love me.” you say, in a desperate attempt to get him to say the three words. you almost want to beg. “it hurts, dallas, that i don’t get that reassurance, that i leave our dates with my words hanging in the air, waiting for a reply,”
he groans. “you know that i do, so what’s the fuckin’ point?”
“you’re unbelievable.”
he scoffs, his voice raising. not quite yelling, but definitely not talking. “holy fuck, you know that i love you, man, so quit bein’ such a bitch!”
the crease in your eyebrow drops as he says that. “don’t call me that,”
“c’mon, man, you’re acting like a fuckin’ lunatic trying to get me to admit somethin’ that i’ve already admitted,” he says, voice still raised. “take a deep breath, maybe get a glass of water, and come back to me once you’re normal again.”
you scoff. “because i’m expressing my feelings, suddenly i’m a lunatic? because i’m not like your old girls, and i actually strive for a healthy relationship, i’m not normal?”
“you’re freakin’ out because i didn’t say it back once, of course i think you’re going crazy.”
“i’m ‘freaking out’ because it’s been a year of ‘thank you’ and ‘i know’ whenever i tell you i love you,”
“you’re being a dumbass, y/n, you know i—“ he cuts himself off, sighing and taking a step back. “fine, man, whatever, you win. go inside and call bucks when you’ve cooled off, i’m goin’ home,”
when he walks past you, the air is thick and unwelcoming. you don’t even bother getting the last word, dreading the fact that he might turn back and lose his shit if you do. he mutters something incoherent under his breath, and walks down the creeky front porch steps, into the dead of night.
˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆
of course, you don’t call bucks. why would you? just so buck can tell you that dallas isn’t there, when in reality he just doesn’t want to talk to you? just so suddenly you’re bending to his will, and he’s getting his way once again? you don’t think so.
dallas does this a lot — whenver you two fight, even if it’s a small one, he needs time to cool off. sometimes it’s a couple hours, sometimes it’s a day. it’s never stretched longer, until now. it’s been three torturous days of waiting for a grand gesture, an apology, anything.
the next day at school, you’re walking through the parking lot during your lunch break, talking to cherry valance and marcia about what happened between you and dallas. they say a lot of “told you so” and “that’s dallas for you”, and you can’t say they’re wrong. they warned you about him, and his reputation for being so short-tempered and stubborn.
the sound of an engine roars behind you, and you and your friends turn your heads to see who is making the noise. it’s a 1957 red thunderbird, you recognize it as buck merrill’s.
“that must be dal’s friend, buck,” you whisper to your friends. “but why would buck be here?”
“he’s a greaser, he’s probably like, 5 grades behind and coming here begging for another shot at graduation,” randy, marcia’s boyfriend, teases. you shoot him a glare, and he shuts up.
“i’ll go see whats up,” you say softly, walking over to the now-parked car.
as you walk over and the window rolls down. it is not buck merrill, like you expected, but it’s dallas winston.
“hi,” you say softly, your walls starting to go up but hesitating, wondering if you’re even still fighting.
“hey, sweetie,” he says, not explaining what he’s doing here.
“what’re doing?” you ask him.
he shrugs. “wanted to see you, i dunno.”
“oh,” you say softly. you hoped for an apology, you hoped for flowers, you hoped for chocolate, you hoped for a hug, you hoped for—
“i shouldn’t of gotten all heated when we talked, it wasn’t cool,” he says, interrupting your thoughts. “and you ain’t a bitch.”
“..thanks.” you say after a few seconds of silence. what a shit apology, you think.
he’s staring out into the parking lot instead of you. “and i’m crazy about you, man,” he looks up at you. “you gotta know that, sugar.”
“thank you,” you repeat again, unsure of what to say.
another beat of silence as he swallows in his throat, before speaking and finally looking over at you. “i love ya, doll,”
you should’ve stayed mad, you should’ve not accepted his awful apology, but you cannot hide the smile tugging at your lips. this is all you’ve asked for from him, and he finally has the courage to admit it.
“i love you too, dallas.” you say softly, leaning into the window and giving him a quick kiss on the cheek. “thank you,”
“you gotta stop sayin’ that, y/n,” he teases, playfully pushing you away. “go hang out with your stupid friends, man. i’ll come over tonight and hang.”
you nod, and walk away, looking back at him and seeing a small smile on his face. nothing could ruin this moment.

34. Dallas Winston - Please Don’t Be In Love With Someone Else
* Warning: smut! *
To everyone’s surprise, Tim Shepard was incredible with children especially when they were hysterically crying after hurting themselves. If it hadn’t been for your little brother, who at the ripe age of three enjoyed jumping off of high surfaces when he was alone for no more than a second, then no one would have seen this softer side of Tim. While everyone else was teasing the man as he placed a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle bandage on the child’s skinned knee while whispering he’d be alright, you couldn’t help the way your heart throbbed at the scene. And that’s when it started, down at the very bottom of your beating organ the tiniest, insignificant feeling of a crush was starting to blossom. It was a silly feeling, nothing that mattered at all because there were so many things about Tim Shepard you couldn’t stand. In fact, it was so funny to you, you decided to mention it to everyone, and like you’d hoped they would, they laughed about it. Even Tim Shepard, who knew there was nothing to the little crush you harbored.
“Well at least she gave you a way to get chicks!” Sodapop laughed.
And it was all fun and games amongst everyone. Tim even walked over to you, nudging your arm lightly.
“I can take you on a date,” he snickered, “get it out of your system.”
That caused another wave of rowdy laughter throughout the house. Everyone was having such a good time poking fun at your little crush towards Tim that no one, not even you, noticed the brooding Dallas Winston huffing in the corner with a cigarette between his lips. He didn’t find your crush on Tim Shephard all that amusing, probably because he was head over heels in love with you. But no one knew, not even Johnny, who Dally was incredibly close to. You weren’t like the other broads he’d ever met, Soc or Greaser; there was something warm about the way you laughed, something gentle and caring by the way you made sure everyone ate, you were friendly even when people didn’t deserve it, and no matter how many times you cried yourself into a mess, you put other people’s emotions before your own. He found you enduring, beautiful, selfless, and absolutely amazing but he’d never admit it to anyone. Which was why he was in this situation now; having to listen to all of his friends and you talk about your crush on Tim Shepard.
Honestly, he didn’t see the appeal. So damn what if Tim was great with kids, he could do that too. At least that’s what he kept telling himself. However, as the week went by, he found himself being scolded by parents of children he made cry. It wasn’t his fault they found him scary looking or that he wasn’t nice and soothing like typical people were when it came to children. He didn’t even like kids; they cried too much, there was always drool dripping from their mouths or snot bubbling at their nose, they asked for too much, and they were annoying.
A frustrated sigh left Dally’s lips as he plopped down on the Curtis’s couch. It was a Saturday, so everyone, with the exception of you, were sitting around Darry’s house enjoying their weekend and watching terrible tv. All of them turned their attention to their pouting friend.
“What’s the matter with you?” Darry questioned.
“Nothin’,” Dally huffed, not wanting to get into his failed attempt to get along with children for your sake.
“I saw you earlier,” Ponyboy stated while spooning some eggs into his mouth, “you made some kid cry and got yelled at by their mom.”
Dally scoffed, glaring angrily at Ponyboy for even mentioning his failure.
“Why’d you make a kid cry?” Two-Bit snickered.
“It’s not like I did it on purpose!” Dally snapped, “I was trying to impress someone,”
It all came out before Dally could even stop himself. Now they were all curiously sitting on the edge of their seats eyeing him suspiciously.
“We didn’t know you were into someone,” Steve stated, “who’s the lucky gal?”
“You aren’t that stupid, are ya?” Two-Bit laughed, “I remember a certain someone admitting they had a crush on Tim Shepard simply because he was great with kids.”
And while the scowl on Dally’s face seemed to deepen, the gears in everyone’s heads started to turn and click at the realization that Dallas Winston was desperately in love with you. So desperate that he was willing to be around sticky, stinky kids just to make you feel something, even a little bit, for him. The few times he tried were just practice runs, he didn’t want to embarrass himself in front of you when he decided to do it for real.
“If you like her,” Johnny said, his voice almost too quiet to hear over the rumbling sound of old tv, “just tell her how you feel.”
“Yeah,” Darry stated, “she’s not actually in love with Shepard. She even said so.”
“Maybe he wasn’t listenin’,” Sodapop giggled.
He was listening, he just didn’t want you to love anyone else, no matter how much it was. He swore the next time he saw Tim Shephard he was going to kick his ass but that was no more than a silent threat considering it wasn’t his fault you felt the way you did. All he knew was he didn’t want them talking about it anymore, at any second, you would walk through that door and how unsettling would it be for you to find out Dally’s feelings while his friends are trying to give him advice. Dally always saw himself as prideful, so that would be an awful situation.
As if right on cue, you came trudging through the door in your diner outfit letting your bag drop to the floor beside the front door. Your face was contorted into exhaustion and a few of your hair were misplaced but you didn’t bother with it. Everyone stopped talking about Dally’s crush on you immediately.
“Hey guys,” you greeted, voice hoarse from all the orders you had to call out and customers you had to speak to, “How’s it going?”
“Great,” Two-Bit said, smiling brightly with no indication that they were discussing Dally’s love life, “How was work?”
“I almost quit today. I swore to myself if one more person smacked my ass, I was leaving,” you stated, rolling your eyes in the process as you plopped down beside Dally, “but Tim made it all better when he brought me some coffee during my break.”
There were two things to be mad at according to Dally: some prick smacked you on the ass without your consent and Tim made you feel better today instead of him. This was getting worse and worse.
Dally gripped the side of the couch, and he wished he had a pack of cigarettes on him because it would keep him from aggressively chewing on the inside of his cheek. While the boys seemed to notice, you didn’t and Dally was starting to think that you were irritably clueless of the situation in the room. And he couldn’t take it anymore, so he pushed himself off the couch and stormed out the house, slamming the screen door shut behind him. Your eyes widened at Dally’s sudden action. You had noticed that he had started acting weird all week; barely looking you in the eyes, not really saying anything to you, leaving when you showed up. It was like Dally wanted nothing to do with you anymore, which was painful really because you and Dally were close. Not as close as he was to Johnny but close enough.
“What’s wrong with him?” You questioned, turning to the boys who had grown eerily quiet.
“Well…” Steve started but was cut off by Ponyboy.
“He’s just havin’ a hard time tellin’ some girl he like her,” he stated.
“That’s why he’s been so upset this whole week? Because of a girl? Why doesn’t he ask her out or something? I’ve never seen him this messed up about one girl before.”
“These are all new emotions for Dally,” Darry stated, the big brother voice coming out, “we’ll just all need to be supportive however we can.”
And that left a question rumbling through your tired head: How were you supposed to be supportive and help if Dally wouldn’t even look at you?
You spent a little more time with your friends before you went to pick up your little brother, running a little later than you’d have liked. When you did arrive at your brother’s daycare to pick him up, Dally was standing beside the fence smoking a cigarette, looking much calmer than he previously was. Without hesitation, you approached him.
“Dally,” you called, voice sweet and welcoming as it was with any of your friends, “what are you doing here?”
“Figured you’d be late,” he hummed, throwing the butt of the cigarette to the ground, “so I came up here to watch your brother until you got here.”
A large grin spreaded against your lips, the sparkle in your eyes blinding in the sunlight that was starting to set. You didn’t even need to say thank you, though you said it anyway, because Dally could see it in your eyes that you were grateful that he was looking out for your brother when you made small mistakes like being late. You ran over to the teacher, the ends of your diner skirt bouncing with each movement you made, and apologized for your tardiness before collecting your brother.
“It was no trouble at all,” she chirped, “he’s a perfect child. Have you considered adopting him yet?”
It was a topic that was frequently discussed during pickups. With both y’alls parents being deceased, that left you as the sole provider for your brother even if you were barely an adult, but you’d rather die first before letting anyone other than yourself get custody of him.
“I have,” you admitted, “that’s why I’m working so much now. I need the money to start.”
“Well we’ll help however we can,” she said, then patted your shoulder and let you be on your way.
You carried your brother back over to Dally who was still waiting for you at the fence, a new cigarette sitting between his lips. He offered to walk the two of y’all home since the sun was starting to go down and it was dangerous for the two of you to be walking home alone. And by the time the three of y’all made it to your house, your brother was crying for something to eat. You invited Dally inside and he took up your offer, watching as you began to make your brother something to eat. His menu consisted of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich cut into triangles, they were his favorite shape and he wouldn’t eat it any other way, some carrot stick with a bit of ranch, not too much because ranch wasn’t too good for you, and pieces of strawberries cut into pieces so he wouldn’t eat the strawberry butts because he would if given the chance.
As you made your brother’s food, Dally sat across from you watching every move you made. He didn’t like kids, but he loved watching you take care of your brother. You seemed so relaxed and in the zone, that nothing else could take your focus away from taking care of the only part of your family you had left.
When you were finished making his dinner, you let him watch reruns of Scooby Doo as he ate. That left you alone with Dally until it was bedtime. Luckily you had tomorrow off so you didn’t have to worry about bath time tonight because honestly, your legs were barely staying up as it was.
“Are you hungry?” You asked Dally, quirking your head to the side.
“Nah,” he muttered, “I ate a little bit ago.”
You nodded your head.
“That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t eat,” he continued, his eyes looking up to meet yours, and you could see something desperate in them that was hard to pinpoint.
“I’m not hungry,” you said, “Just tired.”
“I can leave?”
“It’s okay for now. I still have to get him ready for bed and everything.”
The muscles in his shoulders seemed to relax as he settled back into his seat comfortably. You wanted to bring up what the guys had told you earlier, about Dally being in love with someone, but you weren’t sure how. It was odd to know that there was a girl out there making Dally feel this way, he was known for casually hooking up and dumping girls left and right. The idea amused you, so you went for it.
“So the guys said something about you being head over heels for some girl,” you started off, Dally’s eyes flickering up to you, “I was wondering if you wanted to talk about it?”
“There’s nothing to talk about,” he muttered, averting his eyes.
You weren’t even sure if you should continue pressing the matter, you didn’t want to make him angry. You could handle his outburst but your brother would get scared and it wasn’t something you wanted to deal with tonight. So instead, you changed the conversation.
“Well I also wanted to let you know,” you changed the topic, “we’re all going to the park on Saturday. I’ll be making lunch for everyone if you wanna join. Everyone will be there, even Tim.”
A scowl appeared on Dally’s face as he scoffed, rolling his eyes as he looked away.
“I’m so damn tired of hearin’ that guys name,” he grumbled, keeping his voice down.
“He’s your friend,” you giggled, “What did he do to you?”
“He didn’t do anythin’ to me. I’m just tired of everyone kissin’ the ground he walks on.”
And now you were really confused because everyone was merely treating Tim Shephard like any ordinary friend.
“No one’s kissing the ground he walks on, Dally,” you argued, “he’s our friend. He’s welcome to join in on our activity if he wants to like anyone else we know. Why are you so mad at him?”
“Why are you defendin’ him?” Dally snapped, “You sleep with him? We all heard how you’re in love with him! How was he?”
By this time, your brother was looking at the two of you, inching himself behind the wall further but keeping an eye on y’all. But besides that, there were fresh tears in your eyes from the accusation being thrown at you. You couldn’t cry though, not in front of your little brother and sure as hell not in front of Dallas Winston. Instead, you gripped your hands into a fist at your side and glared at him, feeling a single tear fall from your face. For the first time ever, there was remorse and regret splashed on Dally’s face.
“Get the hell out of my house, Winston!” You snapped, “Now!”
You stormed past him and pulled the front door open; he came over to you.
“Wait,” he said, “let’s talk about this.”
“No.”
You grabbed the sleeve of his jacket and pushed him out of your house before slamming the door shut. You could hear the sound of his footsteps walking down the steps. Your brother, fortunately, wasn't crying, but was still scared. Smiling, shoving your tears away, you approached him and picked him up, carrying him to his bedroom to put him to bed. He kept asking you if you were okay and you promised him that you were, even though you weren’t. After reading him a bedtime story, he was knocked out, so you retired to your room and bawled your eyes out.
A week went by and you barely left the house. Instead of dropping your brother off at daycare, you took him to the diner with you. You didn’t even go to the park with everyone like you had originally planned, and when they knocked on your door that day, you ignored them because you felt ashamed. The only one you did speak to because they had seen you walking home was Darry. He was nice enough to give you and your brother a ride home. While your brother slept, Darry asked if everything was okay and because you saw him as the parental figure you desperately missed, you told him about the argument you and Dally had at your place. Rightfully so, he was pissed off at Dally.
And when Darry saw Dally again, he let him have it.
“Are you outta your mind?!” He snapped, “If you can’t get a hold of your damn emotions, fine! But you aren’t goin’ to take it out of her. She’s too damn kind and too damn carin’.”
“I didn’t mean for it to come out,” Dally argued, “but by the time I realized what I said, it was too late, she didn’t want to talk.”
“I don’t blame her. But you’re gonna make it right. You hear me, or you won’t be welcome back to my home until you sort yourself out.”
Everyone knew that Darry was serious because he never threatened to keep anyone from his house, so Dally refused to say anything that would cause a bigger hole in his relationship with Darry or anybody.
That night, Dally went to your house, hoping that you were still awake and that you would be willing to talk to him. He knocked three times on your front door before you opened up. Seeing your face for the first time in a week almost knocked the wind out of him. Even with tears, fresh and dry, streaking your tired face, you were beautiful. He wanted more than anything to grab you and kiss you, make everything alright.
“What are you doing here?” You questioned, voice no longer filled with joy but with sadness.
“Can we talk please?” He asked, the word “please” rolling off his tongue foreignly.
You hesitated, not wanting to let him in at all, especially not while your brother was asleep. But you knew he wouldn’t stop, coming back everyday to talk to you, hell, he’d even show up at your job. You couldn’t have that. So you nodded and pulled the door open, gesturing for him to come inside. Dally walked through your door and you shut it again, locking it so that no one could get in.
“What do you want to talk about?” You muttered, your eyes never meeting him.
“About that night a week ago,” he replied, “I want to apologize for what I said and my actions.”
“Because you’re actually sorry or because Darry made you come over here?”
The answer was both but it didn’t seem right to tell you that. But it didn’t seem right to lie either.
“Both,” Dally admitted, “but it doesn’t change the fact that I’m still sorry, even if Darry told me to come over. I’ve only been keepin’ my distance because I knew you didn’t want to see me.”
“And I still don’t,” you snapped out, “so you tell me why I shouldn’t kick you out.”
“Because we’re friends and because I’m sorry.”
“No. That’s not good enough. Friends don’t say the shit you said to each other. So if you want me to believe your half ass apology, I’m gonna need more. For example, what the hell has been your problem lately?”
Another thing that Dally loved about you was that you could be incredibly feisty when you wanted.
You stood there with your arms crossed over your chest waiting for an answer. Dally sighed, running his hands through his hair, frustration clear.
“Fine,” he huffed, “you wanna know? I had to listen to all of you joke about your crush with Shepard while I’m sittin’ over here dyin’ to tell you that I love you. Dyin’ to tell you how much you mean to me and how I want nothin’ more than to hold you when you cry. I can’t get your laugh out of my head, I can’t sleep at night because you wander my dreams, and hell, I pray that the next time I see you, I’ll get to see your smile or hear your voice.”
Your eyes widened at his confession. You didn’t think that this girl he had been in love with could have been you. You never thought of yourself as special like that to anyone, that and your life was filled with work, taking care of your brother, and adopting him. Yeah you spent time with your friends but you never thought you’d be someone they loved.
“Y-you love me?” You questioned, your voice not louder than a mouse.
“Of course I love you,” he admitted again, “that’s why I’ve been so upset lately. And it’s no excuse for the things I said to you the other night. I shouldn’t have been so…”
“No, you shouldn’t have. But I forgive you, Dally.”
A smile appeared on his face and he hugged you. Your head was buried into his chest and you couldn’t help smiling at the familiar smell of cigarettes and cheap cologne.
“And just so you know,” you continued, “a crush is a crush, Dally. Nothing more. Real love is more than some silly feeling of fascination.”
You looked up at him, your eyes twinkling up at his bright, brown eyes. He seemed to hesitate for a moment before he dipped his head down and kissed you. The taste of cigarette smoke touched your taste buds when he slipped his tongue into your mouth. It was familiar and welcoming. You ran your fingers up his chest and then wrapped around his neck. He gripped your waist tight, holding you in place as the kiss heated up. Pretty soon, he was shrugging his leather jacket off of his shoulder before pushing you backwards towards your bedroom which luckily the door was open. Inside your room, Dally grabbed the hem of your shirt and pulled it over your head revealing your flesh. Your breasts were almost popping out of your bra and Dally was practically drooling at the sight of it. He pushed you onto the bed gently, the covers crinkling underneath your weight. You watched as he removed his own shirt, undid his belt, before climbing back on top of you. His lips attached themselves to your neck instead of your lips. His tongue swirled around the subtle flesh of your neck causing a gentle moan to leave your lips.
“Dally,” you whimpered, your eyes rolling back.
“Shh,” he whispered, grinning against you, “you’ll wake your brother up. We don’t want that.”
He pushed himself between your thighs and caused a small amount of friction against your clothed cunt. It felt like he was doing all this on purpose, to tease you, knowing that you couldn’t be loud. You bite your bottom lip hard causing a small tear in the skin. The metallic taste of blood coating her tongue. Dally unbuttoned your jeans and pulled them off of your body, revealing the pretty panties you had decided to wear. Not on purpose, you were just behind on laundry and these were what you had. That didn’t stop him from grinning at the sight of them cupping the flesh of your lower half. He bent his head down and kissed the inside of your thigh, a moan leaving his throat at the scent alone.
“Dally, please,” you muttered, cheeks burning as you felt yourself grow wetter behind the fabric of your panties.
“Needy little thing,” he said, standing back up and removing his own pants and underwear.
There was no time to be wasted, both of you were craving each other so much that y’all’s skin was burning hot to the touch. Dally pressed another kiss to your lips, his fingers barely gripping your chin as he removed your panties with one hand. He threw the set to the side and moved on to your bra, unclipping it expertly. He swore he never saw anything more beautiful than you laid out before him. He laid you down, admiring every inch of you.
“So pretty,” he hummed, his head tilting as he watched you.
Your cute, little cunt was glistening with wetness and it only made him harder. He licked the drool off of his lips. He bent your legs as he positioned himself between you. Almost immediately your legs wrapped around Dally’s muscular torso; he positioned himself against your hole and rubbed his tip against your folds. The two of you moaned in each other's mouths, your eyes squeezing shut as Dally pushed into you. He was larger than you expected, wide too. With each inch of him going inside of you, your spongy walls could feel every vein that decorated him. There was a mix of pleasure and pain and you couldn’t help but bite down on his shoulder. He hissed at the erupting pain from your bite.
When he was finally inside you completely, he stopped, letting you adjust to him. You nodded your head, giving him permission and he moved. The two of you looked into each other’s eyes, lips inches apart as he picked up his pace. The bed creaked from the sudden movement and the headboard tapped rhythmically against the wall, luckily, not loud enough to wake your brother. Your head tilted back, giving Dally full access to your neck. He latches his lips against your flesh and leaves sloppy, open mouth kisses there; deep growls left rumbled through his throat sending a vibration up your neck. It tickled, and you couldn’t stop yourself from smiling at the sensation. Dally moved one hand to your thigh and squeezed the soft flesh.
“Fuck,” he hissed, “you feel better than I ever imagined, sweetheart.”
“Please,” you moaned, “faster, Dally.”
“Whatever my sweetheart wants.”
His pace quickened, and alongside that his thrust became harder. You could feel the tip of his cock poking your cervix. He took his hand off your thigh and placed it down on your throat, tightening his grip only enough to make you feel dazed but not enough to cut off your oxygen supply completely. With his hand on your throat, he forced you to look at him, wanting to see the dazed, fucked out expression on your face as he continued to abuse your tight pussy. Fresh tears spilled from your doe like eyes as you watched him furrow his brow, the pleasure he felt increasing with each snap of his hips.
“Only I can have you this way,” he grumbled, sweat dripping from his forehead, his hair clinging to his tanned skin, “Shepard could never make you feel like this, understand me? No one could ever make you feel like this. Got that? You belong to me.”
Normally something like that would piss you off but the way he had you pressed into the mattress with his cock practically claiming every inch of your insides made you feel intoxicated. You couldn’t even answer him when he said it, just nodding your head as drool slipped from your partly open lips.
“Look at you,” he chuckled, “can’t even speak, that’s how good I’m making you feel right now. Fuck…you’re so fuckin’ tight. Squeezin’ me so well, doll.”
By this point, neither one of you could keep your moans down. All of your senses were dulled from pleasure and lust that you felt too drunk to care even if the neighbors heard. You were just glad your door was shut, and hopefully locked.
Dally pulled himself off of you, his hand unclamping from your neck. He picked your legs up and threw them over his broad shoulders. The sight in front of him felt almost illegal: your breasts in full, plain sight, your hands sitting tiredly beside your head tangled in the strands of your unkempt hair, the glistening sheen of sweat the coated every inch of your perfect body, and he got a full view of his cock digging deep into your cunt. His eyes rolled backwards as he rolled his hips roughly, hearty growls and moans puncturing the air as they left him. He dug his nails into your skin and you arched your back at the sensation of pain mixing with the adulterated pleasure.
“Fuck,” you cried out, fresh tears spilling over, “Dally, I’m gonna-”
You couldn’t even finish your sentence because he wouldn’t let you. All he wanted was to feel you cum all over him. He snuck his hand down and rubbed your aching clit in quick, circular motions as his thrust became more erratic. His eyes darkened at the sight of your body starting to shake uncontrollably, your orgasm was approaching fast and he couldn’t wait. He was greedy. He wanted the confirmation that you’d only ever cum on his cock ever, that some silly crush couldn’t compare to having him. You’d be begging for more after this was all over and that’s what he was hoping for.
“D-Dally,” you cried out, “I can’t.”
“Let go, doll,” he moaned out, “cum for me.”
As soon as the words left his mouth, you were shaking as your orgasm hit hard; your body arched, your pupils as they rolled backwards, your cries and moans became silent, and your hands gripped the bedding tightly. Dally’s face screwed into pleasure, too much pleasure. The sigh of you, the feeling of you tightening and soaking him, it was all too much.
“Sh-shit,” he hissed, his movements becoming sloppier with each stroke.
Your legs fell off his shoulders and he fell on top of you as the pleasure rippled through him like unsteady waves in the ocean. He buried his head into your neck, your tired arms wrapped around him as he pumped himself in and out of you.
“Sh-shit,” he cussed again, “I-I’m cumming, fuck.”
Quickly, he pulled out of you and pumped his load right onto your stomach; breathy gasp made both of you aware of the intensity of his own orgasm. He couldn’t even hold himself up anymore when he was finished. He laid down right on top of you, the smell of sweat, sex, and anything else covering y’all’s senses as exhaustion lolled y’all to sleep.
Dally was first to fall asleep, and you couldn’t stop yourself from smiling into his hair before dozing off yourself.

Hii!!
I love your work, and was just wondering if you could do headcannons for Dallas Winston dating the really happy-go-lucky Curtis sister. Her and soda are twins so she’s pretty much soda but a girl. She’s very affectionate and always needs hugs and cuddles! She is really happy and excited, but also sometimes feels like she can’t be sad or angry around people she loves.
Xx Rose
being soda's twin and dating dally HC's

-> a/n: wait i loved this request sm!! i hope i did it justice <3
{💖}
JSKSJWIDJ
the curtis's were very very very VERY hesitant for you to start dating dally
what if you broke up? would the gang have to pick sides? dally or the curtis's sister?
9no its too risky
it was only when the guys could list all the times they caught dally staring at you with a fond smile and dazed eyes did they realize his feelings for you were legit
as the oldest, darry of course had to give the 'you break her heart i'll f you up, no hesitation pal'
dally sat through it all while soda watched him intently
when you were official and shit, dear god the shit you'd do
it was like
humorously atrocious
to put it into words, two-bit's shenanigans times 5
I DISRESPECTFULLY RESPECTFULLY BELIEVE
a.) soda takes it upon himself to stay up and get all the details when you come home late from a date
b.) soda gags everytime you and dally are in an embrace for a little too long
as the 'Curtis Cuddlebug', you like to hug and be touchy because you didn't have that for some time or whatever BUT soda 13929292093929381% feels weird watching you hug dally instead of him
like,
you and soda (as twins) had the closest bond of anyone in the gang
so anytime shit hit the fan, you'd find yourself going to soda and him to you
youd gossip and shit talk and fight and do all the fun sibling tingz
but then
his heart kinda sinks when he realized he hasn't cuddled w you for a couple days
but its not like he can really say anything if youre happy
MOVING ON
shotgunning. with dallas.
MEOWMEOWPURRAWOOOOGAAA
thats when you really hash out some feelz
you'll pass the blunt back and forth, staring up at the stars (youre in dall's car bc he knows ur a sucker for watching the stars and cuddling and blah blah blah)
if you had like brought a blanket or two, dallas would a hundred percent pull you into him so he could get some lovin'
dally only likes affection coming from you and you alone argue with the fucking WALL.
some days you'll just sigh and bury your head into his chest. dally'll rub your back and smiling when you squirm to get closer to him cuz bros a little touch starved
"dally?"
"yeah?"
you sigh again. "i feel like shit sometimes. a lot actually"
this makes dally a lil worried "what?"
"soda 'n i are... happy-go-lucky, y'know? we gotta be smiling all the time, always... strong; confident," you tell him
dally's absorbing your words, wondering where tf ur going with this
"but then i realize i dont wanna be strong all the time. i know soda feels the same way i just," you sniffle lightly
dally's eyebrows? through the roof. is he uncomfortable? undoubtedly.
he isnt too comfortable with the way anyone expresses emotions tbh
but will always attempt to comfort you in any way he can
"whatchu mean, doll?"
his heart flips around when he hears you choke back a sob
"means i don' wanna always be smilin' and jokin' and not be taken seriously. i fuckin'- i need a break dall. a break from everything"
dally snuffs out his joint in an ashtray he set on the car and wraps both arms around you as you cry in his arms
he didnt know any of you felt like that
wow okay
if you stayed at his place at 'his' room he's literally heart eyes at you weari g his boxers and his a t shirt
he'd just "c'mere sweetheart lemme show you how loved you are" and pull you onto him
thats about as far as you get with him and the "L'' word
dally???talks????in?????his??????sleep???????
it's so adorable i think it was one of Dillo's works but he'd be a mumbly and clingy and HOLY FU
where can i get one?
back to sussy soda
he's happy for you. he really is
but dallas is snatching up his best friend, sibling, and cuddle bug from right under his nose
soda's pretty protective idgaf
you'd still have ur gossip sessions, but soda still feels bizarre when you're with him
something changed when you and dally started dating
if (IF) dally proposed
it'd be casual
like im talking
dq date, in the middle of drinking a shake he'd pull up with
"marry me doll?"
YESS MA'AM
dally is highkey afraid of rejection, now that he's so involved with you
but you smother him in kisses to prove otherwise
i cant
i
sorry but i cant get the visual of tired!dally out of my head
specially tired!hammered!clingy!dally
he'd attatch himself to your waist when he's 🤏🏼 that close to passing out because even absolutely hammered, he knows youll take care of him
absolutely refuses to let yoy pay bail for him when he gets arrested
but dont expect him to pay bail for you either bc bro kinda poor
he'd prolly just do smth to be in the slammer with you
#couplegoals
but you will 110 percent be getting the Disappointed Look™️ from darry
soda would point and laugh
pony would just shake his head with a knowing smile
once again:
where can i get one???

Hiiii! can you do a Dallas Winston x Curtis Sister Reader (maybe sodapop's twin?) who is soooo different than soda. She's a firecracker with a mouth on her that gets her in trouble? Dally finds himself repeatedly rescuing the Curtis sister reader, who always seems to get into trouble with her sharp tongue and rebellious streak. Each encounter brings them closer, revealing an unexpected connection between the tough greaser and the feisty Curtis sibling?? i think this would be a dope 3x1!! i LOVE your 3x1's you nail them every time
First, thank you!! and heck yes I can get this written for you! Love me some Dally and a spitfire reader, espcially a Curtis sister reader. Maybe she feels a little neglected by her brothers after her momma passed away and she needs that human connection again. what better way to get it than acting out?

a pretty little valentines for you and me
by: sandy
dallas winston x gn!reader
word count: 380 words
warnings: mushy, lowercase intended, lovey-dovey things, super short, basically just love in one big bucket :)
a/n 💌: i am back!!!! this is super late but a fellow fanfic author invited me to write a fanfic for valentines but um..your girl kinda forgot. so here it is! enjoy! sorry its so short, i am trying to get back into writing! i hope y'all like this, its been a hot minute since i have written fanfic!
----------------------------------------------------------
"so, do you like it doll?" dallas asks nervously, he is rarely nervous
you and dallas were currently at y'all's favorite diner. in y'all's booth. dallas had just given you a promise ring. you were shocked. you didn't think that the dallas winston would be into this kind of thing.
you look up at him and nod, smiling. your eyes are a bit watery, you think its just from the overflow of emotions you have felt all day.
this had been the best valentines day ever.
"i really like it, babe," you say smiling then you glance back at the promise ring on your left middle finger. its an infinity sign ring and it fits you perfectly.
"its my promise to...." dallas began, he cleared his throat and his face grew red ever so slightly, then he proceeded to look down. he mumbled. "you know love you forever or whatever, doll."
you were grinning from ear to ear now, partly because of how sweet the gesture was but also because you knew that meant a lot coming from him.
"i love you more." you joke
dallas looks at you with his goofy grin you have grown so fond of.
"no way in hell is that possible doll." dallas says chuckling
the waiter finally brought your food to y'all, you had been waiting thirty-five minutes. far too long for a local town diner.
"what took so damn long?" dallas said to the waiter, returning to his old self and not the lovey dovey mess he was only a minute ago.
"sorry, the kitchen is really backed up." the waiter says handing us our food.
"sure it is, this place is packed." dallas says sarcastically as he bites into his burger. you hold down a laugh, as you didn't want to embarrass the waiter further.
the diner was empty besides the normal 8 o'clock crowd, which was just a few young adults and old people.
the waiter walks away, and you start laughing, you catch dallas looking at you with seemingly stars in his eyes.
"what?" you ask, your laugh dying down
"nothing, doll" he says smirking then goes back to eating
"happy valentines" you say grinning
"happy valentines, doll" dallas says and he bends over the table and kiss you softly
p.s. sorry i am so late to this @rumble-aint-a-rumble-without-me

hiii i was wondering if you could do a dally fic where the reader is a part of the gang and her and dally are super close and the gang is making plans to go to the drive in but reader doesn't wanna walk so she asks dally for a piggyback (he obviously says yes cause he's down bad for her) but anyways, he gets super cocky by saying stuff like "askin' old dal for a ride, huh?" and then the gang starts teasing them for it (this is my first req ever so sorry if it's bad lmao😣)
baby i’m yours (request)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
pairings: dally x reader
summary: you are too tired to walk to the drive in, so dally carries you
warnings: cussing
authors note: i looked forward to this request so this is one of my favorites i’ve ever been asked to make! thank you so much for requesting this. i decided to change the layout a bit but does it look ok? also sorry this is kinda short💗 i hope you enjoy
word count: 0.5k
Tumblr media
you and the gang were sitting on the couch in the curtis house, bored out of your minds. you sat next to dally, your legs laying on his lap as you stared at the ceiling.
steve then asked, “hey, you guys know about that new movie that’s comin’ out today? it’s gonna be on in ‘round an hour, i’m goin’.” soda chimed in, saying he wanted to join too. soon, the others began to voice how they wanted to see the movie too.
everyone had spoken besides you, dally noticed and looked at you, placing his hand on your calf. “you gonna go too?” he asked, looking at you up and down.
you responded, “not sure, my legs are really sore… i was walkin’ around town with my friend the whole day.”
dally began to rub your calf in a caring way, he softly suggested, “how ‘bout i carry you or somethin’? that way you can still go, yeah?”
you thought for a second before nodding your head and thanking him. you and the gang had around twenty minutes to spare before you had to start heading over to the drive in.
you continued to watch the movie you were already watching, it ending around fifteen minutes later. two-bit suggested, “should probably head over now, it’ll take around… what, ten minutes? so then we’ll be like… half an hour early? is that right?”
the gang responded in different ways, nodding and talking. all of you stood up from the couch, stretching and groaning before walking out the door. dally turned to you as you stood up, taking a moment while you cracked your back.
“get on my back.” he says, bending down slightly as you jump on his back. he walks out as you rest your cheek on his back, tired and still wanting to rest.
“needed old dal to help you, huh baby?” he asked, teasing you. as your arms are wrapped around his neck, you let go to lightly push his back, mumbling, “shut up…”
he thought for a second, smirking as the gang was looking at the two of you. he decided to tease you again, “couldn’t do it on your own, huh? and out of all people, you decided to choose me to carry you. could’ve asked anyone else…”
“maybe i should’ve asked someone else… but you’re so strong, dal. so handsome, manly…” you tease, he blushes as the gang begin to tease him too.
“god, get a room, you two! don’t have to be all lovesick all the damn time.”
“why are you guys kinda cute together…”
“dally’s got the hots for y/n!”
“man, dally probably thinks he’s her knight in shinin’ armor!”
he rolls his eyes, still walking as the both of you are blushing, “shut the fuck up, man.”

Tumblr media
i.
PALE BLUE EYES slant sideways, casting a brief look at you.
Your nose is scrunched in concentration over the comically large textbook laid open in your lap. You're hunched over, tracing under each printed word with your finger, thumbing down when you stop to take a note.
Dallas is preemptively annoyed. He's been leaning expectantly against the doorframe circa ten seconds ago, and you're yet to notice him. He takes one last dramatic drag from his cigarette before begrudgingly discarding it on the outsole of his shoe. The creases on on your nose tighten as you catch a whiff of the wafting smoke. Though a vehement anti-smoker yourself, you've spent enough time around the gang to guarantee your lungs at least a permanent char. Despite this, you always just have to make a big song and dance of your distaste for them, and Dally does nothing to curb the quirk of his lips into a slight grin.
You have him, hook line and sinker.
"(Y/N)," he speaks at last. His tone is firm yet without underlying aggression; one exclusively for your ears.
You perk up.
Dallas' fingers splay against his lips as if holding a phantom cigarette. "What're you doin' over here so late, huh? Was out lookin' for you."
He watches as your gaze darts to the window. Nightfall has long since kissed the apex of Tulsa, yet you hadn't a clue. You'd been there for hours, crunching equations and fruitlessly jotting down formulas. The encroaching weight of finals week had rendered both your circadian rhythm and measure of passing time nugatory.
"Borrowin' one of Darry's old textbooks," you explain, the corners of your mouth tugging into a frown. "Not exactly a monastery but it beats that old Soc-infested library, long as Two stays gone, that is."
He crosses the Curtis' living room in four smooth strides, plopping down next to you on the couch. The flimsy cushion sinks beneath him, forcing you closer to him, and for once, Dally's grateful for the pathetic old thing's lack of structural integrity.
He lifts the textbook, ignoring your whimper of protest and sets it on the coffee table. He spins the silver band on his knuckle, averting his gaze downwards. "You know, sweetheart," he pauses, choosing his words. Dally wears his worry uniquely, sparingly. "I'm not particularly likin' all of these.. these books, and.." he trails off, thumb tracing your newly-formed eyebag as if he could swipe it clean. "When's the last time you got any sleep?"
Things are different. You're his girl now. And not just his pretty skirt for the night and until 7am after; no, this is serious. You're his girlfriend. His lover. It's foreign. It's enthralling.
No one had told poor Dallas that falling for you would unwind a deep vortex in his brain that noticed the trivial things, like how suspiciously little you blinked or how the vibrant pink in your cheeks had drained.
You lean into his touch with an exasperated sigh. "Dally, c'mon, don't you start this. I know it's nothin' to you, but it's finals week!" you huff. "I'll catch up on the sleep, swear it! I just, I got so much left to do here, and,"
Your defense falls on deaf ears. This has been it for weeks now; and the you-sized hole burning in his chest is only getting deeper. Dally's arms encircle your waist as he taps gently on the small of your back. "Don't give me that," he sighs. "God, baby, you're worryin' me, alright? Don't like seeing my girl so..." he fans his hand outwards.
As you tense and start to fly into another excuse, he shakes his head, mind already made. He's sparing no more of your attention. "You're comin' back to Buck's with me, alright?" His timbre leaves no room for argument, but you squirm regardless. His grip on you tightens. "And I'm making sure you get some goddamn rest."
You pout, looking over at your textbook as if it would personify and save you. "But," you start, only to be hastily shushed.
"But nothin', doll. C'mon, up ya go,"
With that, he scoops you up, one arm hooking around your legs. Your series of half-hearted protests are nullified as he secures you into Buck's old truck, movements careful yet hasty. You inevitably surrender, a soft sigh escaping your lips as you lean back into the torn leather.
BUCK MERRIL'S HOUSE is as quiet as Buck Merril's house is capable of being. You've never been to Buck Merril's house, so you don't find it very quiet at all.
Running his hands over the blanket, Dallas spreads it out on the floor, smoothening out the crinkles and corners. They reform almost immediately and he sighs heavily, airing it out on the pummeled mattress in defeat. If he would have know he'd be conducting a full-scale kidnapping for the sake of your rest, he might have better prepared. Might have.
So, here's the thing, right?"
There have been girls in Dallas Winston's bed before.
There have been quite a few girls in Dallas Winston's bed before.
There have been zero girls in Dallas Winston's bed that he didn't bring into it with meaningless sex on the horizons.
You're no snob and he knows this, but now, it's the principle. Dallas Winston may sleep on a mattress deficient of ample springs and no top sheet, but Dallas Winston's girl should never. In spite his hazy, rose-colored, Y/N-centric world created under this roof, he knows he has to step it up.
As soon as he hears the faucet cut off, he's off his feet. He flings himself onto the mattress, hitching one leg up as he awaits the slow creek of the door.
And there you stand.
Dallas wonders what karmic debt is being paid off for him to deserve to see you like this. His lips part as he drinks in the sight of you like a man dying of thirst. You, in his lightly wrinkled grey tee that scarcely conceals your bare thighs. Your face glistens with renew, a few stray droplets racing down your forehead and cheeks. Even trammeled by exhaustion, you knock the wind right out of him.
You wear the moonlight beautifully. It traces each feature so delicately as you sit beside him on the bed. "I'm—," you start, but pause to let a little yawn. He practically melts beside you.
"I'm sorry I gave you such a tough time, darlin'," you continue, situating under the blanket. "You were right, I'm proper beat."
He smirks, propping his head up to look down on you. "As always," he notes, tucking a fly-away hair behind your ears. You roll your eyes and give him a playful jab, to which he winces in mock affliction. "Some nerve," he hums, thumb tracing your cheek.
You look at him, lips parting gently. This isn't Dallas Winston; that infamous, no-good hoodlum from the wrong side of the tracks. This is your Dally, someone you alone have the absolute pleasure of knowing.
"That's it," he whispers as you surrender to his side, nuzzling his neck. Your eyes are heavy, faltering by the second, yet your grip on him is unyielding. He's never felt a thing like this before, and he's quickly becoming putty in your careful arms. He's content to lay awake all night, watching the gentle rise and fall of your chest as slumber claims you.
His gangly fingers trace idly on your back, and he knows. He will never be the same.

radio - dallas winston
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
“now my life is sweet like cinnamon” - radio, lana del rey
dallas winston x newgirl!reader note: reader and dallas are underage drinking, reader gets a little tipsy. dallas realizes he has a lover boy side after all..just fluff basically? a/n: this takes place in the 60s! 60s detroit has my heart of course i had to involve it just a bit. 💋
Tumblr media
your parents had decided to move you to tulsa, against your will of course, in hopes of living a “calm small town life” in their words. you thought it was just unnecessary. you were happy back home in detroit, enjoying the motor city and it’s homey feel. moving all the way to oklahoma to live in some small town felt idiotic. but, what could you do? you’d already settled into your new “home” and it’s not like your words could convince your parents anyways.
the cool summer breeze had sent you wandering into buck merrill’s roadhouse. you’d heard from a couple of people in your neighborhood that it was a place most people went to for drinks, fights, and just to be lonely at. while it didn’t sound appealing, the drinks part settled well into your head. drinks were never your thing, but anything would make you feel better than being at home, the moving and adjusting had been all too much for you.
arriving at buck’s, many faces looked your way. some curious, some flirtatious, some disgusted. you flashed an awkward smile as you sat down and ordered a drink for yourself.
across the bar sat dallas winston. dallas winston was known for his cold demeanor and player antics. ask anyone and they’d tell you, he had no care in the world for anyone. not even himself.
he’d noticed you just as everyone else had. new girl for sure, but something else about you interested him. he couldn’t quite figure out what it was.
lost in his thought, he hadn’t realized buck was right behind him.
“someone’s caught your eye, huh dally?” buck teased. “nah man, just lookin. hey, you got a light?” dallas avoided buck’s teasing as much as he could. but buck was right, you had caught his eye.
buck handed dallas a cigarette as dallas lit it and held it to his lips, still eyeing you closely.
you felt someone’s eyes on you, but to be honest who’s wasn’t? everyone felt eager to know who you are. it wasn’t often someone decided to settle their lives in tulsa. if anything it was more common for people to pack up and leave tulsa for good. everyone was curious to know you.
something told you to turn your head to the corner..maybe it was intuition, maybe it was just your knowledge. but you decided to do what your gut told you.
that’s when you noticed him.
just by looking at him you could tell the kind of person he was. stuck up, unserious, to himself. he was mysterious in a way, and for some reason that drew you to him. it made you wanna know more about him.
so being the newcomer yourself, you decided to approach him. he didn’t look any older than you..mature in face and body language but you could still tell he was your age.
as you made your way towards him you noticed him shuffle in his seat, sitting up and clearing his throat a bit. “hey” you said blankly. “hey, doll. whatsa pretty girl like you doin in this dump, huh?” the newfound nickname put a light blush on your face. luckily, neon signs filled the house, perfectly hiding in the tint. “no choice but to move here, parents forced me..” you responded, fiddling with the hem of your shirt.
“mm, you a soc or a grease?” dallas responded, leaning back a bit. “huh? what’s that?” your face twisted in confusion, causing dallas to let out a laugh before responding. “sorry, forgot your new doll. soc’s are the west side kids. y’know the ones that got it made. their stupid fancy cars and pathetic polo shirts. just jerks. greasers are guys like me. low-life, less money, don’t got it all like the rest do.” you didn’t know what answer to give. you sure weren’t rich and popular, yet you weren’t poor and a “low life” like he’d described.
“neither id say. i don’t live in the rich neighborhood, but not the low-life neighborhood you describe either. im just normal..” you replied. dallas nodded knowingly before changing the subject. “didn’t catch a name for ya, doll.” his new york accent strung with every word. “yn..yours?” dallas sat up in his seat, “dallas. dallas winston. the fuzz probably know my name more than anyone. call me dally.” you smiled. you’d remember that name. hell, you’d remember everything about him. from his mysterious demeanor to his thick new york accent.
every word, every movement he made, had you wanting to know more and more about him. “and why do cops know you, dally?” he smiled at you using his nickname before he spoke. “cause i get into trouble y’know? eh at this point whenever something happens im the first the fuzz run to. jerks..” dallas muttered the last word. he’d seemed like the kind of guy who had stories to tell for days, maybe weeks.
“enough about me doll, i wanna know about you now.” dallas smirked. “nothin much to know..” you responded hesitantly. “don’t get all shy with me doll, just wanna get to know you” dallas could see right through you, and how nervous you’d suddenly gotten. “maybe that’s enough talk..let’s drink? you a drinker?” dallas changed the subject to your comfort, something he’d never do for anyone else unbeknownst to you. there was something about you that still pulled dallas in..made him wanna know you from head to toe, whatever that meant.
“no i’m not really a drinker but anything feels good at the moment” you laughed. dallas took this as a sign to order whatever sounded good. vodka, whiskey, even beer. just the usual, just to occupy you. you took whatever he’d given you, downing it the minute you got it and making a face of disgust. dallas laughed at the sight. “cute..” he mumbled. then, dallas had realized it. he was falling for a girl he’d barely known, his laid back “no fucks in the world” demeanor was being crushed by a new town girl.
hours had passed, you were now drunk and tired, words seemingly slurring before you could even form a sentence. “let’s get ya home, doll” dallas said, helping you to stand and walking you out of buck’s. before he’d left, he’d asked if anyone knew where you lived. since the town wasn’t too big and you were new, it was easy for him to figure that out from anyone there.
once dallas got you home to your doorstep you were a tad bit sobered up, just enough to carry your own weight.
“hey uh, y’know if you ever want company you can just uh, call me or somethin.. never really busy and if i don’t answer it’s cause i got in with the fuzz.” dallas said, scratching his head. you smiled at the boys pathetic yet cute words. he’d wanted your company without asking for it. “yeah sure, why not? don’t get yourself into too much trouble now, i wanna see you more dally.”
and somehow to dallas, the nickname had squeezed his heart yet again. everyone called him dally, why was it different when you said it? you’d waved goodbye to dallas and went into your house, seemingly the call for dallas to make his way back to buck’s. the whole way back, his mind was stuck on you.
you’d made his life a little more interesting, a little sweeter, a little more desireable to live in just one night. you’d made his life a little “sweet, like cinnamon”.

daddy's pride ୭ ˚.⁺⊹ .ᐟ
𐙚 girldad.ᐟdallas winston x reader꒱
warnings: none.ᐟ
a/n: ahh this is so damn cute you guys omg. definitely my proudest work
⤷ *based on request linked here* ༉‧₊˚✧
you were exhausted, but in the best way possible. the soft cries of your newborn daughter, fawn marie winston, filled the room, echoing off the walls like a sweet melody you never wanted to stop hearing. dallas, right there beside you, his arms firm but gentle as he held the tiny bundle close to his chest, had never looked more vulnerable, more in love. his rough exterior seemed to melt away the moment fawn was placed in his arms, replaced with a look of pure, unfiltered adoration.
“ain’t she the most beautiful thing you ever seen?”
dallas’s voice was low, that broad new york accent that you had grown to love so much wrapping around each word like a warm embrace. you could hear the emotion in his tone, something that he himself rarely let show, but right now, he was an open book, his love for the tiny girl in his arms plain as day.
you leaned into him, your head resting on his shoulder, feeling the steady beat of his heart as you watched fawn’s tiny fingers curl around dallas’s thumb.
“she’s perfect, dal,” you whispered, your voice barely audible as a tear slipped down your cheek. the moment was surreal, almost too good to be true. here you were, a little family, everything you had ever dreamed of, and it was all right here in front of you.
“damn right, she’s perfect,” dallas murmured, his lips brushing against your forehead in a soft kiss.
“that’s our baby girl, y’know? she’s gonna have the world wrapped around her little finger.”
as the days turned into weeks, you watched in awe as dallas transformed before your eyes. he was always a force to be reckoned with, tough as nails and never backing down from a fight, but now, he was something else entirely. he was gentle, overly protective, and so incredibly proud of the little girl who had stolen his heart the moment she was born.
you’d often find him in the nursery, just standing there, watching fawn sleep with a soft smile on his face.
“can’t believe she’s ours,” he’d whisper, almost as if he was afraid saying it too loud would shatter the perfect little world you had created together.
“she’s got your nose, dollface. look at that, she’s got your nose.” he’d chuckle softly, reaching out to brush a delicate finger across fawn’s tiny button nose.
“and she’s got your eyes, dal,” you’d reply, wrapping your arms around his waist and resting your head against his side. “she’s a perfect mix of both of us.”
dallas would hum in agreement, his arm wrapping around your waist, pulling you closer as he continued to watch fawn sleep. “she’s gonna be a force to be reckoned with, huh? just like her mama.”
you’d laugh softly, knowing he meant every word, and together, you’d stand there, soaking in the quiet moments that seemed to make all the sleepless nights and endless diaper changes worth it.
but it wasn’t just the quiet moments that made you fall in love with dallas all over again. it was the way he’d jump out of bed in the middle of the night at the first sound of fawn’s cries, cradling her gently in his arms as he paced the room, humming softly to soothe her back to sleep. it was the way he’d brag to the gang every chance he got, showing them polaroids of fawn and telling them all about her latest milestones, even if it was something as simple as her first smile.
“y’see this? my daughter’s already smarter than ‘lot of you,” he’d boast, puffing out his chest with pride as he held up a picture of fawn cooing at the camera. “she’s gonna be a genius, i’m tellin’ ya. already got her mama’s brains and my good looks, huh?”
the gang would laugh, passing the picture around, but you could see the way they all softened whenever fawn was mentioned.
she was a tiny ray of sunshine in their often chaotic lives, and they adored her just as much as dallas did. they’d visit often, and it wasn’t long before fawn became the center of attention, everyone taking turns holding her, cooing at her, and making silly faces to get her to smile.
one day, steve came over, his usual wild energy filling the room as he played around, tossing a ball up in the air. as usual, he got a little too carried away, and before you knew it, the ball was flying dangerously close to where dallas was holding fawn. without missing a beat, dallas turned, shielding fawn with his body as he shot steve a glare that could’ve melted steel.
“hey, man, watch it! fuckin’ dumbass, y’ almost knocked my daughter’s head off!” dallas’s voice was sharp, his protective instincts kicking in full force. steve froze, his eyes wide with guilt as he stammered out an apology, backing away like a scolded puppy.
you couldn’t help but smile, your heart swelling with love as you watched dallas gently rock fawn in his arms, his anger quickly melting away as he pressed a kiss to her forehead. “it’s okay, baby girl, daddy’s got you,” he murmured, his voice soft and soothing.
fawn blinked up at him, her big, curious eyes reflecting the same shade of brown as dallas’s, and you knew in that moment that she had him wrapped around her little finger. he was completely and utterly in love with his little girl, and it was the most beautiful thing you had ever seen.
as the months passed, fawn grew from a tiny newborn into a curious, adventurous little girl, always eager to explore the world around her. and dallas was right there beside her every step of the way, guiding her, protecting her, and teaching her everything he knew.
“look at her, hon’,” dallas would say, his voice full of wonder as he watched fawn take her first steps, her tiny feet wobbling as she made her way across the room. “how’d we make somethin’ so perfect?”
you’d laugh, leaning into him as you watched fawn’s face light up with pride as she reached her destination. “she’s got your stubbornness, that’s for sure,” you’d reply, knowing that fawn’s determination was a trait she had definitely inherited from her father.
“damn right she does,” dallas would say with a grin, his eyes sparkling with pride as he scooped fawn up into his arms, spinning her around until she squealed with delight. “she’s gonna be tough, just like her old man.”
but even as fawn grew older and more independent, dallas’s protectiveness never wavered. he was always there, watching over her like a hawk, ready to jump in at the slightest sign of trouble. but he wasn’t just protective—he was also completely smitten. whether it was giving her piggyback rides around the house, letting her paint his nails (which he claimed was “just this once”), or sitting down for tea parties with her favorite stuffed animals, dallas was the epitome of a girl dad.
he wasn’t afraid to be silly, to be soft, to be vulnerable, all for the sake of his daughter. and every time he looked at her, you could see the love and pride shining in his eyes, a look that made your heart swell with happiness.
one day, as you were all gathered at the curtis house for a cookout, fawn was passed around from one person to the next, everyone taking turns holding her and making sure she was the center of attention. dallas stood close by, his eyes never leaving her as he watched her giggle and smile at each of the gang.
“look at her, man,” dallas said, a wide grin on his face as he watched steve try to entertain fawn with a goofy dance. “she’s got all of ya wrapped around her little finger.”
“she’s a heartbreaker already,” soda said with a laugh, handing fawn back to dallas. “just like her uncle soda.”
“pffft,” dallas replied, holding fawn close as she nestled into his chest, her tiny hand gripping the fabric of his shirt. “she’s gonna have the boys lined up around the block when she’s older, and i’ll be right there to scare ‘em all off.”
“don’t scare ‘em off too bad, dal,” you teased, resting a hand on his arm. “you want her to have some friends, don’t you?”
“friends, sure,” dallas said, his tone light but his eyes serious. “boyfriends? nnn uhn. nun.”
you laughed, knowing that dallas’s protectiveness was only going to grow stronger as fawn got older. but for now, you were content to just soak in the moment, watching as dallas gently rocked fawn in his arms, a look of pure love and contentment on his face.
as the sun set and the evening drew to a close, you couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of contentment. you had everything you could ever want—your little family, full of love, laughter, and moments that you knew you’d cherish forever.
dallas glanced over at you, a soft smile on his lips as he watched you watching him. “whatcha thinkin’ about, hon’?”
“just how lucky we are,” you replied, reaching out to take his hand in yours. “i love you, dal.”
“i love you too, my love,” dallas said, leaning in to press a soft kiss to your lips. “more than you’ll ever know.”
as you stood there, wrapped in dallas’s arms with fawn nestled close, you knew that this was everything you had ever dreamed of. your little family, your perfect world, and a love that would last a lifetime.
and as you looked up at dallas, his eyes filled with love and pride as he gazed down at fawn, you knew that you had found your forever.

The crisp air of Tulsa flew against the current of your body the color changing leaves crunched under you boots holding yourself under the worn leather jacket that wasn’t yours taking in a breath of humidity before taking a seat on the bench the worn wools groaning at your weight you’d admit that your body temperature was cooler than your nerves were
it was a fact that Dallas Winston was the burner to your simmering pot
You huffed roughly into the cool air fog following after your breath you pulled a smoke from the box that came from the inside breast pocket of the jacket that smelled of smoke, pine, and the fading of stale beer
You took the lighter from the pocket of your jeans letting your thumb roll over the striker wheel just for it to not give a lick of a spark causing you to ‘curse real good at it’ as Ponyboy would say
“Need a light Y/l/n?” You whipped your head around to the location of the voice your blood simmering like the apple filling before being put in a pie crust
You were up from your seated position on the bench walking away from the juvenile listening to his leaf crunching steps behind you calling out your name in a obnoxious, disruptive, way that he knew you hated
Suddenly his hold was on your wrist in a firm grip and your palm stung against his pale cheek a faint making already appearing as the slapping noise carried through the winds with an echo that you couldn’t quite feel sorry for
“Now listen to me Dallas, I’d rather drop dead than kiss your feet and shake like a leaf at drop of your name. I’m not Buck, or Ponyboy, or Slyvia, or any punk to beat on you savy?” You hissed the words dripping like venom from your tongue and teeth and after a brief moment of Dally visibly fighting his pride and his attraction to you in the current moment he’d finally kissed his teeth a small smirk forming against his lips
“You got it doll” The hood put his hands up in mock surrender as you rolled your eyes his arms slithering around your waist to pull you into his front where you were inches apart no avail for personal space
“You f’give me babe?” You could picture the smirk on his sharp face as he leaned his head into your neck nibbling against your skin while in response you just hummed in return
“Yeah, you mouth off to me again and I’ll do more than give you a slap” You threatened no room for a joke in your voice as the brunette finally lifted from your jugular wrapping an arm around your shoulder protectively forcing you to a few steps before you started walking on your own
That day you walked through the park and took the long way home and the stinging against Dally’s cheek that you would’ve been dead for if it wasn’t you was something he’d remember you by

˚୨୧⋆。˚ ⋆ in which dallas winston sneaks into your bedroom
( a/n : this request was so cute! i want dal so badly HOLYY but anyway i hope u cuties enjoy )
Tumblr media
the smoke of a candle danced through your room, coating it in a subtle smell of vanilla. the beatles was playing on vinyl, the record spinning endlessly. your vanity was covered in expensive makeup and one of the lightbulbs on the fairylights strung to your wall was flickering, slowly burning out. the new pink pyjamas that your mother bought you sat comfortably on your skin, and the pages of a book were flipping every few minutes.
you feel a sense of calm as you relax. it’s storming heavily out but you’re safe inside, your parents are asleep, and it’s just you and your little dog hanging out on your bed. you’re almost ready to blow out your candle and head to bed.
until you hear a knock on the window. you jump at the sudden sound disrupting your quiet time, but ignore it, thinking it’s just the wind. but then it happens again multiple times. your head is going to worst-case scenario. serial killer? kidnapper? you don’t know, but they’re impatient. so you hesitate, but peak through your lacy curtains. your lover, dallas winston, is staring at you.
you relax your shoulders and sigh, opening your window. “you scared me,” you whisper-yell so you don’t wake your parents. “how do you know where i live?”
“two-bit told me,” he tells you, talking in a normal voice. you elbow him, and he whispers as he continues. “i should be asking you why another man knows your address.”
“i babysit his sister, he drops her off all the time,” you whisper. you’re annoyed at him for showing up at midnight, and you’re about to force him out, until you notice how drenched with rain he is. “you’re all wet, dal,” you sigh. “are you cold?”
he shakes his head and shrugs, sitting on the edge of your bed. “nah, i’m alright, sugar,”
you sit beside him and gently rest your hand on his cheek for a second, checking his temperature to see if he’s lying. “you’re freezing,” you have a worried look in your eye. he knows it all too well, you get nervous for him easily. “i’ll go get you a towel. do you want hot chocolate?”
“baby, i ain’t gonna die of hypothermia,” he assures. “i don’t need hot chocolate.”
“okay,” you give him a kiss on the cheek, then stand up and walk out of the room to grab a towel.
as you walk out of the room and into the hallway, careful not to step on creaky floorboards and wake your loved ones up, dallas sits up from the bed, and starts looking around your room. he’s never been in a rich kids house before. he picks up your expensive lipstick from your vanity, the one you wear everyday, the one that stains his face when you kiss him. he picks up your perfume — he loves your perfume. he loves how you smell, rosey and feminine. the smell of you makes him feel serene, relaxation washing over him. you have this way about you that makes him feel so safe.
after he’s done looking at your vanity and your shelves of books and crystals, he catches a glimpse of himself in the vanity. he doesn’t fit in with you or your room. his hair is wet, his jacket is dirty, his shoes aren’t shiny and he looks roughed up. but what’s funny is that you don’t even care. most socs care about their reputation, they would never want to be seen around a greaser, but you don’t care. he’s never experienced unconditonal love like yours before.
you walk back in with a pink towel and see him looking at himself. “doing your makeup, dal?” you tease, and he playfully rolls his eyes in response.
“very funny, sweetie,” he sits back down on your bed and takes off his jacket.
you sit down beside him and start drying him off, because frankly, you don’t trust him to do it himself. you brush his bare shoulders and you pat his hair with the towel. he’s watching you do it all, admiring your focus and your need to take care of him. he takes your free hand in his own calloused hand, gently rubbing it with his thumb. he has so much love and thankfulness towards you, he just doesn’t know how to express it. him taking your hand causes you to lose your focus and look up at him. his gaze doesn’t drift, a soft smile on his face as your cheeks blush.
“i think i’m dry enough,” he whispers.
you nod, and set the towel down. “okay,”
he takes a breath before speaking again. “can i stay over here tonight?”
you hesitate. you would love for him to stay over, you would love to talk to him all night and spend time with him, but it’s a school night. “my dad wakes me up during school days, dallas, he’ll see you,” you whisper. “and i don’t really want him to know that a boy snuck in my room.”
“what? why? you’ll get grounded or somethin’? c’mon, doll, nothing is gonna happen,” you shrug, and he continues. “i just want to spend some time with my girl, is that a crime?”
“he’ll be mad—“ you start, but he interrupts you with a compromise.
“i’ll be out at 6:00, your old man won’t see me. i gotta help buck clean up the bar, anyway,” he insists.
“..fine.” you agree, a little smile growing on your face at the excitement of dallas sleeping over.
he gives you a peck on the lips. you guys continue talking for a little bit longer, about how he didn’t know you babysat two-bit’s sister, and about how your teacher got you in trouble for chewing gum. and when your beatles record stops and you change it, he tells you he’s never listened to them before because they’re a “soc band.”
after a while, you two are lying down, still talking in hushed whispers. it’s mostly you talking, but he loves your voice, so he doesn’t mind. his arm is around you, pulling you into his side. you let out a small yawn as you start to get tired, and he gives you a gentle pat on your back.
“go to sleep, sugar,” he tells you.
you disagree with him. “i like talking to you,”
“yeah, well, you can do that all you want tomorrow, doll,” he takes a breath. “you wanna swing by buck’s tomorrow?”
“yeah,” you nod. “i’ll come after school.”
he rubs your back gently, and adjusts himself to get more comfortable.
“can you blow out the candle?” you ask him before he gets too tired.
he nods, and leans over to your bedside table to blow it out, then he turns off the lamp. his st. christopher necklace and the smoke are the only things you can see in the darkness hugging you two. the beatles continues to play in the background, and you two stay close together, a feeling of serenity in the air. dallas chooses to stay awake for a bit longer, watching you fall into a peaceful state as you sleep.
dallas isn’t the same person with you as he is when he’s in public. when he’s with his friends, or even walking around town, he has this intimidating aura that can scare anyone who has the mispleasure of walking past him. he has a dangerous reputation around tulsa, and he’s seen as a teenage dirtbag who’s been to jail more times than you can count.
but when he’s around you, he’s completely different. his walls are torn down the minute he smells your perfume. he lets you take care of him, he doesn’t wipe off the lipstick stains on your face, and he’s oh so sweet.
so as he watches the candle smoke dance through the room, he can come to one conclusion. he will never leave the safe place that he calls you.

31. Dally Winston - Red Hair
*Warning: fluff, cussing, bullying, whatever else is considered a warning.*
Synopsis: Your red hair makes you a constant target for bullying because of its color. Though you try to pretend that it doesn’t bother you, you’ve started to change and Dallas Winston is the only one who’s noticed. When Dally witnesses a group of Socs tugging and harassing you about your red hair, he steps in to protect you.
*Your p.o.v*
Getting up for school was harder than you ever imagined it would be; your once relaxing, euphoric morning ritual was now tainted with anxious fear of what today would hold for you. And while on the outside you looked unbothered by the constant harassment of your peers, on the inside you felt disgusting and ugly. Their words had you looking in the mirror teetering between dying your hair or dropping out of school permanently; sometimes you found yourself playing with a single strand thinking about the color. It was red, a copper red to be exact, and for some reason everyone at school found it hilarious. “Darling,” your mother’s sweet voice rang as she opened your bedroom door, “you’ll be late if you don’t get a move on it.” “Mom,” you hummed, pleadingly, “do you think I can stay home today?” Smiling endearingly, your mom glided over to you gracefully before sitting down beside you. Her movements caused you to push your body into an upright position, pulling your knees against your chest. “Is there a reason you aren’t wanting to go to school today?” She questioned. Since the bullying started, you hadn’t really told anyone about it; the only two people who did know about it were Ponyboy Curtis and Johnny Cade, and you had made them promise not to tell anyone. You claimed that it was just them being childish and that it was nothing you couldn’t handle, but really you didn’t want to be a bother to anyone. It just didn’t seem like their problem to deal with. “I’m just a little tired today,” you lied, “haven’t really been getting enough sleep.” She eyed you for a moment as if trying to find any clues that would tell her you were lying; she was your mother after all, and she knew when there was something going on with her baby. But she also knew not to press, that doing so would only cause you to retreat more into your shell. “I supposed it wouldn’t hurt to keep you home this one time,” she stated, “it’s only Friday, so it’s not like you’ll miss too much. Try to rest."
Nodding your head, you tuck yourself back into your comforter while your mom heads back to the kitchen. Telling from the smell of bacon wafting through your bedroom, you knew your mother was cooking breakfast. Slowly, you fell back asleep relieved that you finally had a day of peace. Hours passed and you were awake again, this time feeling much better than you had earlier this morning. Even though being tired was a lie, it seemed your body actually needed a break. Fortunately, both your parents were at work leaving you alone at the house. There was a note on the fridge letting you know that there was left over breakfast inside the microwave for you. And all of a sudden you felt insatiably hungry, only noticing now that you probably hadn’t been eating as much as you should have. All of this because of your hair. Ridiculous! You’ve never been an insecure person, so why did it bother you so much that people found your red hair amusing? Shaking the thoughts from your head, you pulled out the plate of food and set it on the table before grabbing the juice from the fridge. Just as you grabbed a cup from the cabinet, there was a knock on your front door. It couldn’t have been Ponyboy or Johnny, they were still in school. You walked over to the front door, still gripping the glass in your nimble fingers, and pulled the door open. Standing on the other side was Dallas Winston, one of your other, older friends. Your parents didn’t approve of your friends, their only saving grace being that Darry was a responsible adult who assured them you’d be taken care of. And they held him to that, always popping by randomly to check in on you. Dally let his finished cigarette fall to the ground, putting out the flash of orange with his foot. “Dally?” You quizzed, your head tilted curiously to the side, “what are you doing here?” “Got a call from Ponyboy and Johnny,” he said, his voice smooth, “said you didn’t make it to school, so I came to check on you.” “You really didn’t need to do that. I was just extra tired, so I stayed home.” He eyed you suspiciously and that left you wondering if you were that easy to read, if you weren’t as bottled up as you had hoped. The thought left you nibbling on your bottom lip afraid that they knew more than you wanted them to.
“Well how about some fresh air?” He asked, “maybe it’ll be good for ya, you’re looking a bit bloodless.” As quickly as he said that, your hand reached up and touched your cheek. A smile appeared on your face as you nodded. “I guess that would be okay. I’ve just got to finish my breakfast and get dressed.” Dally nodded his head and you gestured him inside which he gladly accepted. After breakfast, you got dressed for the day and met Dally back in the kitchen. He was staring at some photos your mom had hanging on the fridge, most of them were family photos ranging from the time that you were six. “Ready?” You asked. “Yep, let’s get going.” It was a beautiful day outside, the sun was shining brightly in the sky above you, a quiet breeze rustled your hair a bit with each blow, the smell of freshly mown grass touched your nostrils and filled your senses. Everything seemed to be looking up for you; no bullying, no stress, no worries. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw Dally pull out another cigarette. You remembered the time you had told him to slow down because he was smoking too much but now you worried that you came off too judgemental. Maybe he didn’t appreciate the helpful advice, maybe Dally saw it as you trying to boss him around, or bully him. You never wanted to make your friends feel like that, especially having gone through it yourself, you just cared about them so much. Dally must have noticed your longing glance because he pulled his cigarette out. “Sorry, I know you told me to slow down but…” “No,” you said hurriedly, “smoke as much as you want. Please, don’t listen to me! I didn’t mean to nag you about it.” Your sudden outburst made him arch his eyebrow. “What’s gotten into you?” He quizzed, shoving his cigarette into his mouth. “Nothing. I just don’t think you should feel pressured to do something you don’t want to do.” It was quiet for a moment, and for a second you felt that you had gotten your point across without exposing so much. However, by now, you should have known that all of your friends, specifically Dally, knew you better than anyone has ever known you. So you weren’t surprised when the next thing came out of his mouth.
“Have you been feeling pressured to do something you aren’t into?” It wasn’t so much as being pressured to do something, it was just constant teasing that was pressuring you to hide yourself from your fellow peers at school. “No,” you lied, hoping that it would deter him from asking anymore questions. “You are a terrible liar,” he hummed, smoke pushing past his chapped lips. He wasn’t wrong. Any time you lied, everyone knew it was just that: a lie. But despite him calling you out, you didn’t give him the real reason as to why you were acting funny. How would he react? Would you be bothersome to him, like you felt you would be? Would he start a fight with all of the people who were bullying you, get himself in trouble? There were so many possible outcomes whizzing through your pounding brain that it was starting to make you dizzy like you were drunk. Luckily, he didn’t say anything else about it and instead took the two of you to Dairy Queen and bought the two of use some Blizzards. Silence overcame the two of you as both of you dug into your sweet, summer treat. It wasn’t an awkward silence, more of a relaxing silence; one that you both seemed to welcome. Dally definitely knew you but you also knew him, and judging by the stare in his eyes he was thinking something over. So it seemed that the two of you were both dealing with something. For a while, everything seemed to be going smoothly; the two of you had started a conversation, Dally listening intently as one could as you explained the book you were reading. It seemed like nothing could ruin your day. “Ah, there she is.” The voice that came behind you sent a stinging chill running up your spine, a light shiver visibly stirring you. Standing behind you were the four Socs that typically picked on you at school; whether it was making disgusting comments about your hair matching downstairs, pulling on your hair pretty harshly and making some sleazy joke about your pain tolerance, or a stupid insult that you’ve heard a million times like whether or not you had a soul. You thought that you had escaped it, at least today. Today was what you needed to reboot your strength before going back to school tomorrow. “We missed you at school today,” one, who’s name was Billy, chirped while wrapping an arm around your shoulder. You wiggled out of his grasp.
“Leave her alone,” Dally snarled, a piercing glare stabbing into the Socs. “Mind your business, Greaser,” Billy huffed, causing his friends to laugh, “we’re just having some fun with our little redhead.” As quickly as those words came out of his mouth, you were out of your seat ready to leave. Dally got the hint too and stood with you. “Oh come one,” another, his name being Dylan, laughed, “what’s the matter red? We’re just messing around.” And it all seemed to happen so fast. All of the name calling, the shoving, the pulling, everything. Once again, you found yourself dizzy and unbalanced but this time it didn’t feel like a drunk feeling. The feeling was almost like you were suffocating. “Awh poor little red riding hood,” they mocked. Fat, overwhelming tears pooled in the corner of your eyes as you held your hands over your head. You felt someone tug your hair roughly causing a sharp yelp to escape you. Over their screaming and taunts in public, you could hear Dally trying to pull you away from them desperately. But what did it, what pushed you over the edge was one of the boys grabbing a big chunk of your hair and cutting it off with a pocket knife. Their laughs were deafening. “Maybe we should cut all of your hair off. You’ll look less hideous without it.” Those pooling, fat tears flooded your cheeks blurring your vision as you quietly sobbed, putting your hands in front of your face to hide it. When your tears became stains on your cheeks, you looked up to see Dally pounding Billy, the Soc who had cut your hair. The other two had taken off running; bystanders were too afraid to do anything, trying to keep to themselves. Billy’s face was starting to get too bloody, so you intervened; grabbing Dally’s shoulder, you pulled him off and cried for him to stop. His dark brown eyes flickered over to you, his bloodshot, wild eyes stared into your watery ones. The look on your face was enough to soften his, and even though he was beyond fucking pissed, he found the willpower to pull himself off of his victim. Wiping his bloodied hand off on his jeans, he reached over and grabbed your hand, pulling you away from Billy who was slowly getting up to his feet and holding his nose. He only glared, he didn’t make a move towards you or Dally. You now sat on the Curtis’s porch steps playing with the part of your hair that was cut. Dally, who knew where they hid the spare key, was inside washing his hands. You knew that once he was finished, he’d have some questions for you but you really didn’t feel up to answering them. This was the worst the bullying had ever gotten physically. Now they were starting to cut your hair, and you couldn’t help but wonder if you had let the bullying go too far. Maybe you should have told someone, then maybe you wouldn’t have been sitting on these steps cradling your butchered hair. “You better not be blaming your damn self for what happened.”
Dally plopped himself down beside you, a fresh cigarette dangling from in between his lips. “Sometimes it’s a little concerning how well you know me,” you joked, trying to lighten the mood. “Yeah, well not enough if I couldn’t pick up on you being bullied. Why didn’t you tell anyone?” There was disappointment, possibly a little bit of anger, written all over Dally’s face which made you feel even worse than you already felt. “Ponyboy and Johnny knew…” “Those asshole knew and didn’t fucking say anything?” “I told them not to say anything,” you fought, “I didn’t want anyone to worry about me. I didn’t want to be a burden to anyone.” Dally’s face twisted into something besides anger, it was concerned and disheartened. He reached over and touched your chopped up hair with his scarred up hand, his fingers played with the uneven pieces delicately. “You aren’t a burden,” he assured, “you’re our friend. We care about you, I care about you.” “I know but you guys are able to fight your own battles, handle things that are bothering you without running for help. I didn’t want any of you to think that maybe allowing a sensitive, little…” “Hey, we handle things with our fist especially me,” Dally said, “we beat the shit out of our problems. We know what you are, and that’s what we love about you.” He moved closer, his outer leg touching your outer leg. “It’s what I love about you. I love that you're sensitive, I love that you're caring, generous, and bubbly. It makes my whole body buzz with happiness. So if someone’s bullying you, I need to know so I can handle it.” Dally reached over and took your hand with his, using his other hand to remove his half cigarette from his mouth and throw it across the yard. He knew you hated smoke. But you couldn’t even focus on the smoke or the cigarette, your eyes were glued to his hand entangled with yours. It was a loving, caring gesture that Dally wasn’t known for. He was an ass, a flirt, a brute, the complete opposite of loving and sentimental. “Is there something wrong with you?” You asked, quizzically, “are you sick?” “Why?” He questioned. You looked back down at your hands as if your question was obvious. When he didn’t seem to catch the hint, you continued.
“You’re just not normally like this; so sweet and soft spoken.” A quiet chuckle left his lips, his eyes looking away from you as if the reasoning for it was embarrassing. Another abnormal trait of Dally’s. “Maybe it’s because I like you,” he muttered, still keeping his eyes glued to the bright blue sky, “or maybe I feel more than just a like towards you. Like I love you or something.” Now that was Darry all the way, avoiding heart to heart conversations and trying to play everything off coolly like it didn’t matter. But your eyes were wide, like deer stuck in the headlights wide, at his confession. When you didn’t say anything, Dally looked at you. His sudden movement was all you needed to wrap your arms around his neck, burying your head into the crook of his neck as fresh tears fell from your eyes even though you weren’t sure wide. Dally, though a tad bit uncomfortable and very new to this type of affection, wrapped his arms around you and held your sobbing form. His thumbs rubbed relaxing circles into your sides, hushing what he figured was comforting words. “I needed to hear that,” you whispered, “it’s been such a long few months that I’ve heard someone else say something other than mean.” “If you’ll let me, I’ll tell you ‘I love you’ everyday and mean it.” You nodded your head, still keeping your face buried into him taking in the smell of his manly musk. Dally eventually pulled the two of you apart, climbing to his feet and pulling you with him. You wiped the tears from your face, probably looking like a red mess. “And no matter what kind of trouble I get into,” Dally continued, “I’ll protect you, I promise.” “Thank you, Dally,” you breathe, happiness flooding your body. He doesn’t say anything else, instead, he takes your hand more carefully and the two of you head off to wherever it was he was taking you. You hadn’t realized it before but in some way, you realized that you did love Dally too. The same way you worried about his safety and health when he smoked, he cared about you physically as well. At the time, you’d only thought that it was because you were his friend but after hearing him tell you he loves you, something in you clicked. You loved him. And he loved you. So maybe you and your red hair weren’t such a burden after all.

1. Clowns at the Drive-In:
The night was alive with the buzz of excitement at the local drive-in, the air thick with the scent of popcorn and gasoline. The flickering lights of the movie screen cast shadows across the rows of cars parked haphazardly, each filled with eager teenagers seeking a brief escape from the monotony of their everyday lives.
But for you, the Curtis sister, it spelled trouble. Perched on the hood of your twin brother Sodapop's car, you exchanged barbs with a group of Socs who had taken offense to your sharp retorts and fiery demeanor. Sodapop himself was inside the concession stand, chatting with a few friends, while your youngest brother Ponyboy was engrossed in a book, oblivious to the brewing confrontation outside. You’d never catch Darry at one of these movie nights anymore.
"You think you're real funny, huh?" one of the Socs sneered, his voice dripping with disdain as he loomed over you, his companions snickering behind him.
You merely smirked, unfazed by the hostility radiating from the group. "Funny enough to make you clowns laugh, that's for sure."
Your words were met with a chorus of jeers and taunts, fueling the fire of your defiance as you squared your shoulders and met their gazes head-on. But just as the tension reached its boiling point, a looming figure emerged from the concession stand, cutting through the crowd with a swagger that commanded attention. For Dally always had his eyes on you. Especially after your parents passed.
Dallas Winston, the epitome of reckless abandon and untamed rebellion, emerged from the shadows like a predator stalking its prey. His presence alone commanded attention, the faint glint of mischief dancing in his eyes as he sauntered towards the confrontation with an air of nonchalance.
As he drew closer, his leather jacket seemed to gleam in the dim light of the drive-in, the scent of cigarette smoke trailing behind him like a phantom. His gaze swept over the scene before him, taking in every detail with a predatory intensity that sent shivers down the spines of those unlucky enough to meet his stare. Dallas freaking Winston.
"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" Dally drawled, his voice low and dripping with utter irritation as he finally spoke, his eyes narrowing as he assessed the situation before him.
The Socs, caught off guard by his sudden appearance, turned their attention to him, their expressions shifting from hostility to uncertainty as they recognized the infamous greaser in their midst. But despite their feigned courage, there was an underlying sense of unease in their demeanor, a silent acknowledgment of the danger that lurked beneath Dally's cool exterior.
"This ain't none of your business, Winston," one of them muttered, his voice tinged with defiance but faltering in the face of Dally's imposing presence.
Dally merely smirked, a dangerous glint in his eyes as he stepped between them and you, effectively cutting off any further confrontation with his sheer presence alone. His posture radiated confidence, a silent warning to anyone foolish enough to challenge him.
"I think it is now," he replied, his voice a low rumble that sent a shiver down your spine as you watched from your perch on the hood of the car. “You made it my problem.”
There was a tense silence as the standoff continued, the air heavy with anticipation as both sides weighed their options. But before things could escalate further, Dally's gaze flickered towards the Socs with a silent warning, a promise of consequences should they choose to push their luck any further.
With a final, angry glance in their direction, the Socs begrudgingly backed down, their bravado no match for the steely resolve of the infamous greaser. And as they slunk away into the shadows, defeated but not defeated, you couldn't help but feel a rush of gratitude mixed with a sense of awe at the enigmatic figure who had just saved you from a brawl you couldn't have won.
After Dallas stepped between you and the Socs, a cocky grin spread across his lips, revealing that usual glint of mischief in his eyes. "Your welcome, sweetheart," he drawled, his voice dripping with arrogance as he turned his attention to you.
You bristled at his audacity, your temper flaring like a matchstick ignited. With a roll of your eyes, you shot back, "Don't flatter yourself, tough guy. I could've handled those idiots just fine on my own."
Dallas chuckled, unfazed by your sharp retort. "Sure, looked like it," he remarked, his grin widening as he leaned against the hood of Sodapop's car, the leather of his jacket creaking with the movement.
You scoffed, crossing your arms over your chest defiantly. "You know, not everyone needs a knight in shining armor to come to their rescue."
Dally raised an eyebrow, his expression turning contemplative as he studied you. "Maybe not, but it sure beats getting your pretty face smashed in by a bunch of Soc’s."
Your cheeks flushed with indignation at his comment, but you couldn't deny the underlying truth in his words. With a huff of frustration, you conceded defeat, albeit begrudgingly. "Fine, maybe I owe you one," you muttered under your breath, your pride refusing to let you admit defeat outright.
Dally's grin widened at your admission, a glimmer of triumph shining in his eyes. "You owe me more than just one, sweetheart," he replied, his tone teasing as he pushed himself off the car. and sauntered away, leaving you seething with a mixture of irritation and reluctant admiration.
While you watched him disappear into the darkness, you couldn't help but wonder what it was about Dallas Winston that both infuriated and intrigued you in equal measure. And as the night stretched on, you found yourself unable to shake the feeling that your paths were destined to cross time and time again, whether you liked it or not.

2. A Brush with the Law:
In the midst of your rebellious streak, you found yourself in a predicament that even your usually suave tongue couldn't talk your way out of. It was one of those nights where mischief seemed like the only way to break free from the suffocating grip of the mundane.
The evening began innocently enough, with you and a few friends roaming the streets in search of excitement. The city lights flickered like distant stars, casting shadows that danced along the pavement, teasing you with the promise of adventure. But as the night wore on, the allure of mischief grew stronger, pulling you deeper into its grasp with each passing moment.
It started with harmless pranks and playful banter, the kind of mischief that left a trail of laughter in its wake. But as the hours stretched on and the adrenaline surged through your veins, the line between harmless fun and reckless abandon began to blur. The world became a playground, and you were determined to make the most of it, consequences be damned.
By now, the cops knew you on a first-name basis from all the petty trouble you had caused. They had become all too familiar with your antics, chasing after you like a dog chasing its tail, only to watch helplessly as you slipped through their fingers time and time again. They had warned you countless times, given you more chances than you deserved, but tonight felt different.
Tonight, there was a weariness in their eyes, a sense of resignation that spoke volumes without uttering a single word. They were tired. Tired of dealing with your antics, tired of letting you off with a warning only to see you back at it again the next day. It was as if they had reached the end of their patience, the final straw in a long line of frustrations that stretched back further than you cared to remember.
But even in the face of their stern warnings and thinly veiled threats, you couldn't bring yourself to stop. The thrill of rebellion was a drug, intoxicating and irresistible, and you were hooked. It was a dangerous game you played, dancing on the edge of disaster with reckless abandon, but in that moment, it was the only thing that made you feel truly alive. You needed it.
As they cornered you in the dimly lit alley, their voices stern and faces etched with grim determination, the threat of spending the night in jail loomed over you like a dark cloud. Panic gripped your chest in a vise-like grip, squeezing the air from your lungs as you frantically scanned the surroundings for a way out. But the walls of the alley closed in around you, leaving you feeling trapped and helpless, like a mouse caught in a cat's claws.
Your mind raced with thoughts of the consequences awaiting you if you were to be taken into custody. You couldn't shake the image of your oldest brother Darry's disappointed face, his eyes filled with a mixture of anger and concern as he realized the extent of your latest misadventure. You knew he would be furious, not just at the trouble you had gotten yourself into, but at the worry and stress it would inevitably cause him and your other brothers. The fear of facing Darry's wrath was almost suffocating, a heavy weight pressing down on your chest as you grappled with the realization of just how badly you had messed up. In your reckless pursuit of excitement and rebellion, you had failed to consider the consequences of your actions, the fallout that would inevitably follow in their wake.
Just when it seemed like all hope was lost, a familiar figure emerged from the entrance of the alley, his presence a welcome relief in the darkness. Dallas Winston stepped forward with a confidence that bordered on arrogance, his piercing gaze locking with the officers' with an unwavering intensity.
"Easy there, fellas," Dally drawled, his voice carrying a hint of amusement that bordered on insolence. "No need to get your badges in a twist."
His words sliced through the tension in the alleyway like a well-honed blade, disrupting the somber atmosphere with an unexpected twist. The officers, taken aback by Dallas's nonchalant demeanor, exchanged wary glances, unsure of how to respond to his brazen defiance.
But Dally, ever the master of manipulation, wasted no time in seizing the opportunity to sway the officers to your side. With a casual shrug of his shoulders and a smirk dancing at the corners of his lips, he stepped forward, closing the distance between you and the law enforcement with a confidence that bordered on audacity.
"Look, we all know she's a handful," Dally continued, his voice smooth and persuasive, laced with an undertone of genuine concern. "But taking her in ain't gonna solve anything. Trust me, I've tried. You know what they’ve been through."
As he spoke, a flicker of empathy flashed in his eyes, a subtle acknowledgment of the turmoil that had plagued your life since your parents' untimely demise. He knew all too well the pain of loss, the ache of abandonment that lingered long after the funeral flowers had withered away. And though he rarely showed it, there was a part of him that understood the reckless desperation that drove you to seek solace in acts of rebellion.
The officers, their resolve waning in the face of Dallas's persuasive charm, exchanged hesitant glances, silently wrestling with their conscience. They knew the Curtis family's tragic history, knew the burden of responsibility that weighed heavily on your shoulders in the wake of your parents' death. And as they looked into your eyes, they saw not a delinquent, but a lost soul searching for a way to fill the void left behind by loss and grief.
With a heavy sigh that seemed to carry the weight of the entire world, the lead officer relented. His shoulders slumped in defeat; the lines of exhaustion etched deeply into his weary face as he stepped aside to allow you to pass. "Fine," he grumbled, the resignation evident in his voice, "but this is the last time."
His words hung heavy in the air, a somber reminder of the precarious balance between leniency and accountability that governed their duties as law enforcement officers. They had given you more chances than you deserved, turned a blind eye to your transgressions time and time again, but they knew that their patience was wearing thin. There was only so much they could overlook before the hammer of justice came crashing down with unrelenting force.
Dally, ever the opportunist, seized upon the moment of vulnerability with a triumphant smirk playing at the corners of his lips. He nodded in acknowledgment, a silent acknowledgment of their unspoken agreement as he draped an arm around your shoulders with an air of possessiveness. "Appreciate it, fellas," he remarked, his voice oozing with satisfaction as he guided you away from the alley, away from the looming threat of incarceration.
And as you walked side by side into the night, the weight of the world lifted from your shoulders, replaced by a newfound sense of gratitude for the tough greaser who had come to your rescue once again. You glanced up at him, the flickering streetlights casting shadows across his features, and offered him a tentative smile of thanks. It was a small gesture, a token of appreciation for his unwavering loyalty and unyielding support in the face of adversity.
As you looked at him, his cocky grin softened by a flicker of genuine concern, you couldn't help but wonder what it was about him that drew you in like a moth to a flame. His eyes, usually sharp and piercing, now held a warmth that caught you off guard, melting away the layers of cockiness to reveal a glimmer of vulnerability beneath.
But before you could dwell on it further, Dally's voice broke through your reverie, his words laced with a hint of amusement that conveyed the seriousness lurking just beneath the surface.
"You're quite the troublemaker, sweetheart," he remarked, his tone playful yet tinged with a note of concern.
You rolled your eyes in response, a smirk of your own tugging at the corners of your lips. "And you're quite the smooth talker, Winston," you replied, unable to hide the admiration in your voice despite your best efforts.
As the words left your lips, Dally's expression shifted, his smirk fading into a more serious expression. There was a weightiness to his gaze, a silent question lingering in the air as he studied you intently, his eyes searching for the truth behind your casual facade.
"Hey, are you actually alright?" he asked, his voice softer now, stripped of its usual playfulness. His concern was palpable, genuine, a stark contrast to the tough exterior he typically presented to the world. "This isn't like you, getting caught by the fuzz like that."
His unexpected tenderness caught you off guard, the sincerity in his question piercing through the layers bullshit you typically wore like armour. You hesitated for a moment, taken aback by the depth of his concern, before offering him a small nod of reassurance.
"Yeah, I'm fine," you replied, though the words felt hollow even to your own ears. You forced a casual tone, hoping to brush off the weight of his inquiry, the nagging doubts that gnawed at the edges of your mind. "Just got a little carried away, that's all."
But even as you spoke, you knew it wasn't just a momentary lapse in judgment. There was a restlessness inside you, a longing for something more than the mundane routine of everyday life, that drove you to seek out trouble wherever you could find it. And in that moment, as you stood before Dally with his piercing gaze fixed upon you, you couldn't help but feel a sense of vulnerability wash over you.
Dally continued to study you, his eyes reflecting a mixture of concern and understanding. He didn't press further, sensing that there was more to your story than you were willing to reveal. Instead, he offered you a small, understanding smile, a silent reassurance that he would be there for you whenever you were ready to open up.
"I get it," he said softly, his voice a soothing balm to your frayed nerves. "Just know that if you ever need someone to talk to, I'm here."
His words caught you off guard, a flicker of warmth spreading through your chest at the sincerity behind them. And as you met his gaze, you couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the tough greaser who had dared to care when no one else did.
With a subtle squeeze of his arm around your shoulders, Dally offered you a reassuring smile, a silent promise that he would always be there to watch your back, no matter what trouble you managed to find yourself in. And as you walked side by side into the night, the echoes of his words mingling with the sounds of the city, you couldn't help but feel a sense of gratitude for the tough greaser who had dared to care when no one else did.

3. Escaping a Sticky Situation:
As the Friday night lights illuminated the football field, casting a glow of excitement over the small town, the air crackled with anticipation. It was meant to be a harmless prank, a bit of mischief to inject some excitement into the dull routine of small-town life. But what had started as a simple joke quickly spiraled out of control, and you, the Curtis sister, found yourself in a precarious situation.
The prank had been innocent enough at first—a bit of good-natured rivalry between the Greasers and the Socs. However, things took a dangerous turn when the Soc boys, their egos bruised and their tempers flaring, decided to retaliate with more than just words. They targeted you, singling you out from the crowd, their menacing glares and clenched fists leaving no doubt about their intentions.
Your heart raced with adrenaline, panic clawing at your chest as you frantically searched for a way out of the tightening circle of Soc boys. But as the situation grew more dire, Dallas Winston yet again emerged like a savior in the darkness, his presence a welcome relief amidst the chaos and looming threat of violence. By this point you were convinced it was your brothers who had him watching you for how else could he, quite literally, always be there to say you from these situations?
As the chaos unfolded near the stands, Dallas Winston's arrival seemed almost surreal. At first, his laughter echoed across the small courtyard area, a stark contrast to the tension thickening the air. But as he surveyed the scene, his amusement quickly morphed into a glare of righteous anger.
"Buncha tough guys picking on a little lady, huh?" Dally's voice cut through the chaos like a knife, his tone dripping with disdain as he confronted the Soc boys. His words carried a weight of accusation, a challenge to their masculinity and decency.
As Dally's words hung in the air, the Soc boys hesitated, their usual boastfulness faltering under his scathing gaze. But one of them, bolder—or perhaps more foolish—than the rest, reached out and laid a hand on your arm, his grip tight and menacing.
Instantly, Dally saw red.
With a feral growl, he lunged forward, his fists flying in a blur of motion as he unleashed a barrage of punches on the Soc who dared to lay hands on you. Each blow landed with a sickening thud, the sound echoing across the field like a drumbeat of fury.
The other Soc boys, realizing their mistake too late, attempted to intervene, but Dally was a force to be reckoned with. With a ferocity born of righteous anger, he fought like a man possessed, his only thought to protect you from harm.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity but was likely only seconds, Dally's onslaught came to an end. The Soc who had dared to touch you lay crumpled on the ground, bloodied, and bruised, but alive.
Dally stood over him, his chest heaving with exertion and adrenaline, his eyes blazing with a mixture of rage and triumph. The other Soc's had long since fled, likely for help. But he didn’t give a damn. His attention was now on you. And as he turned to you, his expression softened with a mixture of relief and concern, seeing you standing there relatively unharmed. It was when he saw the tears in your eyes that he knew he had to do something.
Dally's gaze softened further as he approached you with caution, the fire in his eyes dimming to reveal a rare glimpse of vulnerability. He reached out tentatively, his rough hand coming to rest on your shoulder in a gesture of comfort. His touch was surprisingly gentle, a stark contrast to the violence that had just unfolded moments before.
"Hey, it's alright, sweetheart," he murmured softly, his voice a soothing balm to the turmoil raging inside you. "You're okay. It’ll be alright." He attempted to console you as best as he could, however it wasn’t his strong suit.
But the tears continued to flow unabated, a testament to the fear and adrenaline still coursing through your veins. You tried to hold them back, to maintain the facade of strength and resilience that had always been your shield against the world. But in that moment, with Dally standing before you, all of your defenses crumbled.
Unable to contain your emotions any longer, you buried your face in your hands, the weight of the night crashing down on you like a tidal wave. You could feel the tremors wracking your body, the sobs tearing from your throat in ragged gasps.
Dally watched you carefully, his expression a mixture of concern and understanding. Without a bit of hesitation, he wrapped you in a warm embrace, pulling you close to his chest as if to shield you from the world's cruelties. His arms felt surprisingly comforting, a safe haven amidst the chaos that had engulfed you.
"Oh, sweetheart. It's okay to let it out," he whispered gently, his voice a soothing melody in the midst of your storm. "You're safe now, darlin'. I've got you."
His words washed over you like a gentle wave, calming the storm of emotions raging inside you. For the first time in what felt like ages, you allowed yourself to lean into his embrace, to find solace in the warmth of his presence. As the tears continued to fall, Dally held you close, his grip firm yet gentle. He didn't try to offer empty reassurances or false promises. Instead, he simply held you, a silent pillar of strength in the darkness.

The Unexpected Thank You:
As the weight of the night's events settled upon your shoulders like a heavy cloak, you couldn't help but feel a wave of vulnerability wash over you. The adrenaline that had fueled you earlier now gave way to a profound sense of exhaustion, both physical and emotional. And in the quiet solitude of the street, with only Dally's presence beside you, you felt the walls you had carefully built around your heart begin to crumble.
"Thank you, Dallas," you whispered, your voice barely above a whisper, tinged with a rawness you hadn't expected. "For everything."
Your words hung in the air, vulnerable and exposed, a stark contrast to the tough exterior you usually wore like armor. In that moment, you felt a sense of relief wash over you, as if a weight had been lifted from your chest. For so long, you had been carrying the burden of your troubles alone, too afraid to let anyone else see the cracks in your facade. But with Dally standing beside you, offering a silent anchor in the storm, you found yourself finally able to let go.
When you looked into his eyes, you saw something flicker beneath the tough exterior, something vulnerable and achingly human. It was a mirror of your own inner turmoil, a silent acknowledgment of the pain and loneliness that lurked within you both. And in that shared moment of vulnerability, you realized that perhaps, just perhaps, you were more alike than you had ever dared to imagine.
As Dally enveloped you in his embrace for the second time that night, his arms offering solace and refuge, a tender silence settled between you, broken only by the soft sound of your quiet sobs. In that moment, words seemed inadequate to express the depth of the emotions coursing through you both. But as you held each other close, your hearts spoke volumes, weaving a silent symphony of understanding and compassion.
"You don't have to be strong all the time, you know," Dally murmured softly, his voice a gentle caress against your ear. "It's okay to let yourself feel, to let yourself grieve."
His words resonated deep within you, stirring a bittersweet ache in your chest. For so long, you had tried to bury your pain beneath layers of confidence and defiance, afraid to confront the gaping hole that your mother and fathers absence had left behind. But in Dally's embrace, you found the courage to face your demons, to confront the rawness of your grief without fear of judgment or rejection.
With trembling hands, you clung to him, seeking solace in the warmth of his presence. And as you spoke of your mother, of the memories that still lingered like ghosts in the corners of your mind, you felt a sense of liberation wash over you, as if by giving voice to your pain, you could finally set yourself free.
"I miss her, Dally. I miss them," you whispered, your voice barely above a whisper, choked with emotion. "Every day, it feels like a piece of me is missing. Like I'm lost without her. She was my best friend and now she’s just gone.”
Your words hung heavy in the air, a poignant reminder of the fragility of life and the relentless passage of time. And as you gazed into Dally's eyes, you saw your own pain reflected back at you, a shared understanding that transcended words.
"You're not alone, sweetheart," Dally replied, his voice thick with emotion. "I may not have all the answers, but I'll be damned if I let you face this alone."
In that moment, you felt a surge of gratitude and affection for the tough greaser who had stood by your side through thick and thin. In his arms, you found a sense of belonging you had never known, a sanctuary from the storm of emotions that raged within you.
In the hushed intimacy of your embrace, the turmoil within you quieted, replaced by a sense of tranquility you had never known. But amidst the stillness, a storm raged within you, a tempest of conflicting emotions that threatened to consume you.
With each steady heartbeat, you felt the tendrils of affection wrapping around your heart, weaving a tapestry of emotions you struggled to comprehend. The way his touch ignited a warmth deep within you, the way his voice soothed the turmoil of your soul — these were sensations you had never experienced before, and yet they felt undeniably right.
As you rested your head against his chest, listening to the steady rhythm of his heartbeat, you couldn't shake the realization that your feelings for Dally surpassed mere gratitude or admiration. It was something more, something you couldn't quite put into words but felt with every fiber of your being.
In the quiet of the night, you allowed yourself to explore these newfound emotions, to sift through the tangled mess of your thoughts and feelings. And in doing so, you came to a startling revelation — you liked him, more than you had ever dared to admit.
But the thought of confessing your feelings to Dally filled you with a heady mixture of excitement and trepidation. What if he didn't feel the same way? What if your friendship was forever altered by your admission?  Yet, as you glanced up at him, bathed in the soft glow of the moonlight, you saw a vulnerability in his eyes that mirrored your own. Perhaps, you thought, he felt the same way — a silent understanding that transcended words.
Summoning your courage, you took a deep breath, steeling yourself for what you were about to do. With a trembling hand, you reached up to cup his cheek, your touch feather-light against his stubbled skin.
"Dally," you began, your voice barely above a whisper, "there's something I need to tell you."
As your eyes met, you sensed an unspoken understanding passing between you. Without needing further words, he leaned in, pressing a gentle kiss to your forehead. It was a tender gesture, filled with reassurance and affection, a silent promise of his unwavering support and care.
But before you could utter another word, Dally's hand gently tilted your chin up to meet his gaze. His eyes bore into yours with a intensity that made your heart race.
"I need to tell you something too," he murmured, his voice barely audible over the soft night breeze.
Your breath caught in your throat as you waited, anticipation coursing through every fiber of your being.
"Doll," he continued, his voice husky with emotion, "I've been wanting to say this for a while now, but I ain't never found the right words. I reckon there’s no fancy way to put it, so I'll just say it straight."
He took a deep breath, steeling himself before meeting your gaze once more.
"I love you," he confessed, his words hanging in the air like a sacred vow.
Your heart skipped a beat at his admission, emotions swirling within you like a tempest. For so long, you had harbored these feelings, afraid to voice them, afraid of what they might mean for your friendship, for your future. But now, as those three simple words hung in the air between you, you felt as if a weight had been lifted from your chest, replaced by a warmth that radiated from the very core of your being.
You searched his eyes, seeking confirmation of the truth you dared to believe. And there, amidst the depths of his gaze, you found it — sincerity, vulnerability, and a love that mirrored your own. It was a revelation that left you breathless, a realization that this connection you shared transcended the boundaries of friendship, binding you together in a bond that felt unbreakable.
"I love you too, Dally," you whispered, your voice trembling with emotion, as if afraid that speaking the words aloud would make them disappear into the night.
In that moment, time seemed to stand still, the world fading into insignificance as you both basked in the sheer weight of those words. They held within them the promise of a future unknown, yet somehow certain in its inevitability. And as he pulled you into a tight embrace, you felt a sense of belonging wash over you, as if you had finally found your place in the world.
With his arms around you, you knew that no matter what trials lay ahead, no matter what storms threatened to tear you apart, you had each other. Together, you could weather any adversity, conquer any obstacle that stood in your path. For in each other's arms, you found strength, comfort, and a love that knew no bounds.
"Hey," he whispered softly, his breath tickling your ear as he held you close. "You don't have to say anything more. I'm here, and I ain't goin' nowhere."
For the first time in a while you felt a sense of peace wash over you, a profound gratitude for the man who stood by your side through thick and thin. With a heartfelt sigh, you nestled against him, finding solace in his presence as you stood together beneath the starlit sky. In his embrace, you found sanctuary, a refuge from the uncertainties of the world outside. And as you looked up at the twinkling stars above, you knew that your love would light the way through even the darkest of nights, guiding you towards a future filled with endless possibilities.

❀❀❀
Both y/n and Johnny faced problems at home… these problems leaving them with a bond so odd that not even they could understand it
Johnny was emotionally and physically abused by his parents, and y/n had their unsaid problems just the same..
often, when nights got bad. The pair would spend the night in the lot together..
it was silent, other than the crackling of the firewood, and the subtle breeze picking up.
they sat close to each other, for body heat. Johnny sighed before speaking.. “I can’t take this anymore.”
y/n looks up at him, a slight look of curiosity in their eyes, "Is it getting worse..?" they ask.
“I-It’s like everything’s falling apart.” Johnny’s voice was shaky, and cracked in many places.
“M-My p-parents, t-they just..keep getting worse by the day.”
“It’s like..I’m n-nobody to them..” Johnny let out a deep sigh, and then took a long drag of his cigarette.
y/n shifts in their spot, turning their gaze back to the fire for a minute until looking back at him, "We've got each other at least.. That's what matters most right?"
“Y-You think?” Johnny smiled faintly at y/n. He exhaled a gust of smoke into the air, before leaning back on the wall. Johnny looked down at the ground, and took another long, deep drag from one of his cigarettes.
y/n didn't answer for a minute or two, just thinking of what to say next, "I like to think of us as Bonnie & Clyde, y'know..?" they pause, "all we've really got is each other, and that's all we need.."
“Bonnie and Clyde..?” Johnny repeated, then paused for a moment and thought of the criminal duo. He took yet another puff of his cigarette..
“I guess you’re right…all we really have is each other.”
Johnny shifted in place. The cool breeze seemed to be irritating him, causing him to shiver slightly. “Damn, it's really freezing out here.."
y/n gently rests their head on his shoulder, closing in their distance on one another.
Johnny could see his own breath, due to how cold it was outside… It didn't help that his clothes were thin and worn out. He appreciated the warmth of y/n's head on his shoulder.
Johnny sighed, and looked over at them..
“y/n…”
y/n murmured back, "Mmm..?" Their voice was soft and quiet.
Johnny went silent, and smiled softly at them. He was surprised by how comfortable this felt..he was actually able to relax, and be himself. His cigarette was down to the last few puffs..as Johnny watched it slowly burn.
“y/n…you know how much I appreciate you..right?”
"Y-Yeah..? I think so" they mumble back.
“You mean a lot to me.” Johnny continued, as he took a deep drag from the cigarette, exhaling thick plumes of smoke from his mouth.
“I feel like I got nobody, but you. It’s me and you against the world.” Johnny paused for a minute, and smiled softly.
“We have a bond…a connection that nobody else has. Nobody else understands..”
A small smirk appears on y/n's face, "just like Bonnie & Clyde, right..?" a small giggle leaving their lips.
“You know what?” Johnny chuckled quietly, and nodded his head. “Yeah…just like Bonnie and Clyde.”
His cigarette was burnt to a short stub, as Johnny tossed the little bit of the cigarette that was left to the ground.
“Now that.. makes me Clyde, right?” Johnny said, and looked at them with raised brows.
y/n murmurs under their breath, "mmhm.."
“So that means I get the ladies, right?” Johnny continued to joke around, and gave an innocent smile to y/n. They were both close in age, but Johnny certainly seemed older than y/n..in an emotional sense, at least..
"Mhm.. but Clyde chose Bonnie over anyone.." y/n speaks softly "..you'd do that for me too, right..?"
“Hey…” Johnny turned his head towards them more, and gently placed a hand on their cheek.
“I’d choose you over anything or anyone.” Johnny’s voice was quiet, but he seemed to mean every word.
“I wouldn’t trade you for the entire world..”
They both gave each other innocent smiles.
Johnny brushed a strand of messy hair away from their face, looking into their eyes with tender affection.
“I don’t know what I’d do without you..”
"Crash and burn..?" y/n quickly replies.
“Definitely crash and burn.” Johnny chuckled, a small smile spreading across his face.
“How about you though? How would you be without me..?”
y/n suddenly goes quiet, tension rising in the air as they seem a bit nervous to answer the question.
“y/n…” Johnny’s voice was tinged with concern, as he noticed the slight pause in their answer.
“Wouldn’t you crash and burn too..?”
"I've already crashed," their voice was hushed, "the burning is just slower than it should be.."
Johnny was silent for a moment, letting their words sink in. He took a slow, yet drawn out drag of his cigarette, his heart aching for them.
Johnny shifted, and rested his head against the wall, before looking back over at them.
“You alright?”
y/n subtly shakes their head.
“I wish I could make everything better for you..” Johnny sighed quietly, and took another drag of his cigarette.
Johnny’s eyes shifted to the darkness in the lot, as a chill shuddered through his body.
“It’s so damn cold….”
y/n's gaze was locked on the fire that was burning in front of them.
“y/n…” Johnny’s voice was quiet, and his demeanor changed to that of slight worry and concern as he noticed the silence from them. His brow was furrowed.
“Look over here for a sec..?” He softly asked.
y/n shakes their head again.
Johnny’s expression was concerned, almost frustrated. He reached over and gently tilted their head up towards him.
”What’s wrong..? Please..”
y/n's expression was weak as they held back tears of pain.
“Hey..” He brushed a tear that escaped their eye, and ran his fingertips alongside their face.
“Hey…c’mon..” Johnny was soft, and gentle with them.
“Don’t fight it…just let it out..”
They immediately begin to sob into Johnny's shoulder, never once having cried in front of him before.
Johnny immediately softened, his arms wrapping around them and holding them as close as he could. He had never seen y/n in such a vulnerable position before. They were so sweet and innocent…Johnny couldn't stand the thought of them hurting.
Johnny rubbed their back, as he spoke to them in a soothing tone.
"Shhh..it's okay..it's okay.."
Johnny had never even had a glimpse of them outside of their playful, flirty demeanor.. As he saw their walls fall down, he felt shocked.
Johnny had never realized how much pain they had been in, and the sight of their pain…made him hurt too.
Johnny gently squeezed them tight, and he sighed softly. His eyes were fixated on them, watching their tears fall..
Johnny wanted to protect them, and never let anybody else hurt them.
-------------------------------------------
It took y/n about another ten minutes to finally calm down, they kept their head on Johnny's shoulder and stayed quiet.
Johnny didn’t mind it at all when they kept their head on his shoulder, actually enjoying the intimacy of the moment. There were moments where he wished this moment would last, and they could just sit here forever. He enjoyed being someone that y/n could let their guard down around, and feel comfortable around.
“You alright..? You done crying..?” Johnny softly asked. His voice was gentle, as he kept his arms around y/n.
Johnny smiles as he sees them nod, ”Are you gonna go back to being playful now..? Or you still gonna be a sad, crying ol’ crybaby?” Johnny teased with a smug grin.
y/n smiled weakly, laughing briefly at his behavior.
Johnny let out a soft chuckle, and smiled at them Even through their pain, they remained the same beautiful, playful y/n he knew and loved.
“Okay okay..now that’s more like it…” Johnny brushed their back again, and then gently took their hand into his.
“You good now? You feeling alright?”
y/n lets out a soft sniffle, followed by a small nod.
Johnny smiled at them, and squeezed their hand a few times in reassurance.
“Alright, that’s good to hear.”
Johnny sat in silence for a few moments, looking at their hand holding hands. “They're so beautiful…” he thought to himself. He wanted to keep staring, but quickly looked away.
“So. What made you cry anyway?” Johnny asked, hoping to change the subject away from how vulnerable they had been for a moment.
y/n hesitantly speaks up, "Johnny.. If you weren't here, I don't reckon I would be either.."
Johnny immediately froze, his heart shattering in his chest.
Did they mean what he thought they meant..? Were they saying that he was the only thing preventing them from taking their own life?
Johnny quickly squeezed their hand, and looked at them, his voice full of concern.
“What are you saying..?”
"I don't think I need to explain," y/n says.
Johnny went silent, thinking over what they just said for a few moments.
“So you’re saying..” Johnny hesitantly spoke, trying to ask them. “That you would take your own life..?”
y/n softly speaks, "I'm not trying to be a burden or anything.." they pause, "but yeah.."
Johnny’s voice was a combination of panic and concern.
“y/n…” He gently squeezed their hand, and spoke to them again. “You’re not a burden. In fact…you’re the opposite…”
“You mean everything to me…my life would be ruined if something ever happened to you.” Johnny paused for a moment,
“Do you know how much I love you..?”
"Yeah.." y/n weakly smiles, "I love you too, Johnny.."
Johnny smiled at them, as he squeezed their hand a few times.
“And you know..?” Johnny paused for another moment. “I’d choose you over anything.”
"Just like Bonnie & Clyde, right..?" y/n mutters.
"Yeah.. exactly like Bonnie & Clyde" He replied.
