Unveiling Network Observability: The Key to Optimal IT Infrastructure Performance
In today’s digitally driven world, the IT network is the backbone of any organization, supporting critical applications, facilitating communication, and enabling efficient operations. As network topologies become increasingly complex and dynamic, maintaining the reliability and performance of this essential infrastructure presents significant challenges. Traditional monitoring tools, which rely…

Publishing has always been a fucking nightmare, but now it’s a layer of hell. It’s not enough that writers be good at what they do. Writers have to maintain an active social media presence and cultivate a following. Be available.
They have to be conventionally attractive enough to look good enough to see on a screen, aesthetically pleasing, kind, funny, up-to-date on trends, socially aware but not so controversial that they turn off a brand from California from slapping their discount code on a video promoting a book.
They have to do all of this with no media training, with little help from the companies that are supposed to be doing this for them.
Of course, a lot of this isn't possible for say, the 40-something mother of two who teaches English at a school and writes on the side. She’s boxed out of an already complex industry that already has enough walls.
On some level, I think authors have always marketed themselves a little, but we’ve reached such a crazy point where we’re demanding the author become the influencer. Accessibility in publishing has narrowed from an inch to a sliver. And that inch was hard enough to get in as is.
#This is about traditional publishing but there’s pretty privilege and ageism in self publishing too#I can’t think of the last time I saw an up and coming author recording videos who was over thirty#And frankly that’s a shame#It could be that I’m not looking hard enough#but it’s more likely that algorithms are trained the way they are#truly I don’t think they should have to do any of that at all#And forgive me but (and I know it’s rich because I’m an artist on a platform) but art shouldn’t be at the mercy of an algorithm#Now there’s also something to be said about self publishing becoming easier and easier to achieve success in#And doors opening because of influencer status is real and makes publishing wider in a way#But that doesn’t mean it’s accessible#I’m not gonna plaster my health issues over the wall but that life is certainly not accessible to me!#are you healthy enough to write and make sure people on social media still want to like your stuff#are you mentally well enough to be your own pr#I’m sure people who have studied this have more to say and have said it better but this is what I’ve observed#writing#publishing#publishing industry

Random Observations pt-1
🌙 Moon & Emotional Patterns: People with Moon in the 12th house often have vivid dreams, psychic intuition, or a deep connection to the unseen realm. Their emotions can feel like a mystery even to themselves.
A Moon-Mars aspect (especially conjunction or square) can make someone emotionally reactive but also incredibly passionate about their beliefs.
Moon in fire signs (Aries, Leo, Sag) processes emotions through action, while water sign Moons (Cancer, Scorpio, Pisces) need emotional depth and security.
🪐 Saturn & Life Lessons:
Saturn in the 7th house brings serious relationships but often delays marriage or attracts karmic partnerships.
Saturn transits over personal planets can feel like a reality check—forcing growth through hardship.
Saturn Return (around 28-30 years old) is when life demands maturity; people often switch careers, end toxic relationships, or take on major responsibilities.
🌞 Sun & Core Identity :
Sun in the 8th house people have an aura of mystery, deep transformation, and an ability to reinvent themselves multiple times in life.
A Leo Sun with a Capricorn Moon is an interesting mix—outwardly charismatic but emotionally reserved.
Sun-Neptune aspects can make someone deeply creative but also prone to self-doubt and illusions about their identity
Includes both Vedic and tropical :
Venus in the 12th house: Love can feel like a secret, karmic, or involve hidden themes (long-distance, unspoken love, etc.).
Mercury Retrograde in someone's birth chart can make them overthink but also see details others miss.
Jupiter in the 10th house is often a sign of career success and public recognition (as long as they take action).
Mrigashira Nakshatra (Mars-ruled) is curious, restless, and deeply drawn to discovering hidden knowledge—kind of like a cosmic detective.

The Blossoming Love
This is a rant post coz the promotions for The Blossoming Love SUCKS SO BAD. Starting with that title which is so generic and basic with both most overused words in cdrama titles 'Blossom' and 'Love'. The direct translation for Chinese title is "Thousands of peach blossoms bloom forever" which in my opinion is still not very good but it's longer and most importantly DISTINCT.
And then the posters. I'm pretty sure I've seen this exact same type of posters for other dramas. Nothing about these posters are appealing to me. I even thought the first one was a poster from another drama of his coz look.

The latest released poster and the photo shoot they did are so much better. I think it has something to do with the colors but I'm not an expert so I can't say for sure.

If they just want to show the vibe of the earlier parts, a poster like this
or if they can't add in a kiss in the poster coz you never know with Chinese censors something like this would work too instead of those.
AND THEN THE TRAILER. I've seen people watch it and saying it's just another "Journey of the Flower" type drama (understandably) but it makes me wanna scream IT'S NOT DON'T COMPARE MY XXC TO THAT WIMP. But the trailer sucks so bad if I just saw this first I wouldn't be interested too. Like who made this atrocity, I just wanna have a talk.
youtube
Another problem is people watching just the first few episodes and judging the whole drama based on them. It's just sad. TBF, If I haven't already seen the posts from @dangermousie and @fake-married-my-dead-fiance (Thank you guys so much) I too would have thought it's another generic Xianxia with so call "Righteous" ML (who is actually just a hypocrite and a coward who judge other based on their identities instead of their actions or don't dare go against traditions/others and never even question "the righteous way" when he clearly knows it's anything but that.) And this type of MLs disgust me the most even more than someone like Li Cheng Yin. (OP gods who aren't allowed to feel are another type although they're not bad just frustrating which Shen Li made it work last year.) That's why the "Good Guy" MLs have always repelled me in Xianxia but this drama makes it work. This is the first time I find the Righteousness of the ML extremely attractive.
Tell me how to not fall for this.
This drama don't have big names with large fandoms backing them while airing at the same time as THREE other dramas with traffic stars in them. Youku don't do anything to promote it properly either.
I want to see more posts about this drama, people discussing it, posting about specific scenes or drama watching threads but it's really difficult to find since so few are watching this. I won't blame it if you truly don't enjoy it since everyone don't have the same taste but please at least give it a chance. You can even watch it by ffing. If you still aren't sure and don't mind the spoilers check out @dangermousie and @fake-married-my-dead-fiance posts about this.
P.S- This is the exact scene that convinced me that I'm 100% going to love this drama and it's in ep 1 btw.
Disclaimer: I'm not a good writer and this post is not very organized coz it was a sudden impulse. I just wanted to write out my frustrations after seeing a video about it.
Update: This trailer also sucks.
youtube
#at least that's what i observed on chinese platforms like douyin and bilibili#the blossoming love#cdrama#my new obsession#i have an exam tmr and here i am posting about this#i didn't even love Blossom this much#also wanna point out the fact that this drama only has enough budget for 3 osts and slayed all 3

after some experimentation, i've found that "clean-shaven and hair hidden under a beanie" gets me gendered as male way more reliably than "hair loose, full moustache". no idea why long hair provokes such a strong "that's a girl" reaction, but there we go.
#other observations: binding doesn't affect it one way or another (likely because i wear a lot of baggy layers)#makeup also doesn't make a difference and nor do earrings#i get he himmed when i'm wearing platforms and standing behind the counter because people think i'm taller than i am#so height is obviously a big factor. but i can't do much about that lol#voice is highly variable and can go either way#oh! and long coats for some reason tend to be perceived as Girly (again: no idea why)#wild!#be shh now

i was thinking about not saying anything because really i just want peace amongst the lands but as a person who likes torturing herself on bad social media sites i wanna say the situation with the 'movie is better vs show is better' thing isn't as simple as two camps sprouting simultaneously.
if anything, after the movie was premiered in theatres and leaked there was this camp who saw it that very loudly and harshly spread this whole hate campaign on the show, straight up worshipped the movie like it was the best thing since sliced bread, just started hating on the show like they were antis. in all honesty some people talked like they were being PAID. because 'movie is way better than the shitty show!!' was all i could see on twitter for over a month and i didn't watch it so i was like um maybe it really is groundbreaking?
but then the movie officially released and all of a sudden i saw a lot more 'tbh i didn't think it was that great' takes pop up in replies and comments and posts. it was evening out and then i started to see 'just let people enjoy the movie!! stop bullying us for preferring it over the show!' tweets and 'theres two cakes!! can't we just eat!!' type posts. and i genuinely think most people (on tumblr) want to keep the peace and aren't trying to cause harm. but it puts a slightly bitter taste in my mouth because people were straight up harassing thomas astruc over how the movie did everything so good and his show version was so awful lousy and cringefail. and regardless of how he responded or what your opinion is of him ifl people went too far in their 'support' of the movie at the expense of the show. and having this context and knowing how awful people have been could be sort of... eye-opening? i guess?
because its one thing for two camps to suddenly start fighting. its another when one side was poking the bear for no reason whatsoever for AGES only to start victimizing themselves when the opposite happened (and never usually to the same extent)
#text#miraculous ladybug#miraculous awakening#mlbposting#ml fandom salt#ig?#this isnt salt about either the show or the movie#just observations of fandom reactions and behavior#and me wanting to give context to people who RIGHTFULLY dont want to use#certain social media platforms#but oh i am. oh boy do i see things#oh boy do i peruse

I feel like I have a lot of interesting things to say and share but when I try it either comes out garbled nonsense or just really. fucking. dull. Or it seems SO obvious to me that I just don't think to share it because surely everyone has noticed this or knows about this and... Yeah. IDK where I'm going with this but why can't I be more interesting arghhhhhhhhhh
#like observations on things (shows movies etc) or just idk... wanting to share stuff i like#though i do have one review on letterboxd with over 2k likes so... i guess sometimes i say shit in an interesting way XD#(and it's not even a dumb one liner! lol my second most liked review is though haha)#i mean there's also the problem that a lot of the things i find interesting are niche af XD#and unless you're mega super duper popular on whatever platform ppl are gonna be like yeah sorry don't wanna hear about that 60s cambodian.#rock you've been listening to lately soz#(well that's niche here)#just as one example!!!#personal

culture report; children, interacting with art that speaks to them because of its cuteness, that they honestly ideally should not be in contact with. they are aware there is something "bad" about it that makes most people uncomfortable, but they do not have the capacity to understand the severity of the transgressions present in the thing they're interacting with yet. so they try to synthesize and make up strict yet arcane rules about how you can still interact with it, to their best ability, in an attempt to take charge of the whole situation. with the side effect often being that the people who want to "distance" themselves are still interacting with it under the guise of "fixing it" or warning others about it. and the people who don't are straight up spreading misinformation out of discomfort.

#some kind of part of growing up but the wild west unmoderated nature of this platform means children are getting into conflicts with each#other over art that that is exploitative of children.#was literally on nekoworks website entranced by their touhou illustrations 15 years ago (jesus)#and on dA in 2009. so i mean most hypocritical person to speak on the issue. theyll probably be fine it is just bizzare and worrisome to#observe.#in hindsight.#cw: csa#if you hate a game you do not use art from it because you find it cute though. just a small advice.....

Reading the discussions going around regarding the clues for 608 got me thinking…with all the Elarion symbolism and the Ring around Rosie song could it be maybe “Ashes of Elarion”?
#the dragon prince#tdp spoilers#tdp season 6#mystery of aaravos#it feels right for some reason#people on the platform have made some really good observations as well#but I was thinking what could incorporate most of the elements from the clues and still make a good title

#people very much want to blame readers for a lack of engagement with fic these days but frankly i think this is.... incorrect#we need to be real about WHAT ao3 is#it is an archive#it is not a space that is particularly conducive to social engagement#the most collaborative experiences i ever had around fic happened on livejournal#it was not on ff.net#like i agree that there is a depressing drop off in like...idk the idea of the social acceptability of leaving comments#and a far more pronounced divide between readers and authors#but this isn't happening bc readers suck now and they're selfish and entitled which frankly is how many posts opining about this issue sound#it's not like lurking or sorting by complete works only is NEW#these are things that have always happened#what has CHANGED imo is that the spaces where fic happens and the spaces where fandom happens are now very different#and isolated from one another#and we can blame readers for not bridging that gap all we want but it's not gonna fix it#especially since we know how well shaming people for Not Enjoying Things Correctly tends to go#like i don't have an answer to this problem but i think this ''you're entitled!'' ''no YOU'RE entitled'' back and forth#between writers and readers certainly isn't going to fix anything either#it's only going to push those two groups further away from each other#to my mind what we need is a) a platform more conducive to collabortive fic writing and fandom interaction#(think LJ or old dedicated fandom message boards)#and b) a cultural shift within fandom spaces away from this idea that authors are like... untouchable or whatever#bc from what I have observed authors who DON'T have this issue are ones who started creating fanworks from within a pre-existing friendgroup#a pre-existing readership really#and these little subsets then grow into larger readerships#the problem is how partioned all these group start#and that i think is a byproduct of an overall more hostile fandom space where people feel like they can't speak or create openly#without being in danger of running afoul of some fandom scold and their lackeys#like fandom has never lacked for drama but i do think in a post-tumblr/twitter fandom space we can all agree that shit jas gotten Buckwild#*gestures at how bg3 fandom recently speedran fandom insanity primarily on twitter*#shit is different these days and blaming each other for that is missing the forest for the trees

I need to be more consistent with my travel magnet collection.

The tree one is from Pittsburgh.
#Personal#I've been more places than this I just keep forgetting about magnets lol#I have a local lighthouse that I adore visiting#the main (lower) observation platform on Tokyo Tower is roughly three times it's height#I like to think my lighthouse prepared me for the climb down when I wasn't willing to wait for the elevator

700ish moons in, I think I'm about as done with Super Mario Odyssey as I've ever likely to be. With many games there comes a point when going for 100% completion when the frustration begins to outweigh the fun, and for me Odyssey reached that point very early into the postgame if not sooner.
#Pointless observation#Like that jump rope moon is just awful and the volleyball is almost as bad#And now there's all these racing moons that demand near perfect platforming#Along with around a dozen other annoyances

It's becoming clear to me that the critical blogs are not operating in practice how most people expect. Just the nature of how things end up being used.
People don't seem to use these blogs for anonymous confession, but moreso an anonymous space to freely disagree.
We need a "Rumble Zone" that is moderated to curb toxicity, but allow people to debate. Would eliminate the trolls and the people with weak arguments who get platformed.
In the meantime, I'd actually go as far to suggest the critical blogs disallow responses to submissions and treat it like a confessions blog.
#bg3 critical#bg3 fandom critical#i think the critical blogs served a purpose maybe a year ago#when no one could disagree on their blogs without getting chewed out#but now i think the tumblr community is emboldened#id recommend a forum platform and not tumblr communities or discord#because uninvolved observers are still vital to the critical ecosystem
