#Oreca Battle Chapter 6

Stray Thoughts and Rambling about the Story from Oreca Battle Chapter 6: "The Desolation of The Poisonous Swamp"

Following the previous ask about the lore from each chapter, I suddenly wanted to share some lore about Chapter 6 and New Chapter 6 that I learnt from reading Demizu Posuka's Oreca Battle manga, some tidbits from the Japanese fanwiki, and some fan theories I heard and read about from Pixiv and twitter

Please do take caution since this post is mostly based on speculations and fan theories from other fans, and along with the fact that EN localization for any other New Chapter series after New Ch. 3 doesn't exist

There might be wrong speculation, wrong character names spelling, and such Please proceed with caution, thank you!

So, let's start from the established main story of what started Chapter 6

Chapter 6 story started with the appearance of Demon Emperor Tokaji who wanted invade the world of Oreca by spreading his poison throughout the land with his army of the undead

And then comes our protagonist, Shining Guardian Dia who have been blessed by the light from Heaven She went unto the journey to fight against Tokaji to save her homeland from being overrun by the army of undead

Even though the fight have ended with Dia's victory, the aftermath of the damage from the poison that Tokaji spreads on the land are very severe and left the world of Oreca in dire state

Because of this, the Heaven sent two angels to observe and help clean the land from the poison that are spreading, and to decide what is needed to be done to what have happened These angels are Clay, our main protagonist from New Ch. 6 and Camael, his best friend

And this is the start of New Chapter 6

Along their journey, Clay and Camael start to have differing opinions regarding the fate of the land and taking on different paths

Clay and Dia is on the side of who wants find a way to save the poisonous swamp without needing to sacrifice the remaining denizen

While Camael is on the side of King of Light Elysium, who wants to "purify" everything on the land back into nothingness

It is also stated on the JP Fanwiki that Elysium is actually the one who granted the power of Light to Dia on the beginning of Chapter 6

And from this conflict, we finally come to the final fight that will decide on the fate of this land

According to someone's theory, Clay and Dia are fighting for the sake of the remaining people who are still alive on the poisonous swamp, and their victory should've been able to let the people live on

Regardless of who came out as victorious from this battle, it doesn't change the fate of the swamp because of how severe the poison that have already spread throughout

And so, Chapter 6 ended with the inevitable fate of the swamp from being purified into a desert

But even after the desertification, there are people who are still living and surviving on the land Perhaps the remaining people who live in this desert is the result of Clay's and Dia's victory?

But even within the desert, a new threat looming over their fate as a demon king appears and imprison a lot of warriors of the land

And thus start the story of Chapter 2, following the adventure of Gunner Dartan and Jeanne to fight against Demon King Saqqara's tyranny

Aand, that is the end of my personal interpretation of the story that take place in Chapter 6, New Chapter 6, and their connection to Chapter 2

There are also the side story of Infinite Musketeer Dartan trying to defeat Demon Tyrant Abusir to free the people on Chapter 2 from Saqqara's future tyranny, and the side story of Saint Marshall Hughes and High Cleric Cliff in trying to find Sage Solon to fight against Demon Emperor Tokaji (this story is depicted in the Vol. 1 of Oreca Battle Monsters Adventure)

I know this was pretty lengthy, the story is just that complex after all- And that is also the reason why I actually really love New Chapter 6 despite the chapter not having localization version yet-

Char/Charles is definitely not named after Charles de Batz de Castelmore, also known as Count d'Artagnan. do not think about the other Oreca guy who is technically also named after this Count.

Arakishu (阿刺吉酒) is an archaic name for shochu from the Edo period. the name is thought to come from "arak", Arabic for "perspiration", which itself is the name for distilled spirits in many Middle Eastern countries.

no, i did not misspell "sandstorm" when writing out the name of Akishu's EX move. "Sandström" (サンドストロム) is a Swedish last name that means "sand stream".

i like the devilish jester design and think it looks very amusing. to me, they talk like a game show host, which i guess kind of matches with how Saqqara and DJ/Ancient Minister Hop also talk very dramatically. at 8:38 Arina says that Mephisto is "different from the other Oremons up until now" but explaining just how is "for next time". kinda interesting that compared to the other Oremons, Mephisto is not an harmless, kind-hearted little mascot. Zenogon and Achelon help others through the goodness in their hearts, but Mephisto doesnt seem to be like that.

now that there are at least three demon kings in OB2, you start to see they have certain things in common:

the alcoholic drinks they are named after are distilled spirits or contain distilled spirits (whiskey, sherry, shochu)

they are dragon people

they all wear the same kind of purple gem on their bodies

i think the purple gems could end up being more relevant in the manga story. the Dark Crystals haven't been shown in color yet, but they could be purple because that's an easy way to show something is evil. and then maybe the purple gems are how the demon kings are able to make Dark Crystals and trap people in them.

Demon King Busker, Evil Lord Busker, and Oreca Command

Episode 6 showcase Demon King Busker's Boss Battle.

He's one of the new Demon King in Oreca Battle, there will more new Demon King in future chapter.

Although, I am very late talking about this episode, it's also a perfect timing for showcasing Evil Lord Busker

Suntan and Aria-chan have revealed Evil Lord Busker's Oreca Command, which mean you can battle EL Busker before the release of Chapter Prologue's Phase 3!

This is where you insert the Oreca Command

The Oreca Command is: Up. Up, Down, Down, Left, Right

Oh look at that! It's the KONAMI Code!

After you insert the Oreca Command, it'll immediately take you to the Boss you are going to fight against! (Watch Episode 14 for the demonstration)

Which mean you can fight Evil Lord Busker earlier before Chapter Prologue's Phase 3 release! How exciting!

Also if I'm not seeing wrong, it was also the day that is agreed on as the day for Oreca Battle anniversary day??? So, happy anniversary??? ...dang, this franchise is 12 years old-

Welcome to the team, Damkina and White Dragon's Egg!!! ✨✨✨

Though I lose against Damkina and didn't get her item drop, we were still able to get her join the team, so yay!!! Not only that, but it was said her encounter is pretty rare, so audfhkjehferg--

Also, I finally able to get Tanta meet Kurt to trigger their special cut-in! I'll try to make a video post about it, because slrjghjrg- To do that cutscene justice, I need to show it in video format-

Other than that, we had a pretty uneventful (yet a bit frustrating-) levelling up moments~

And we finally get Kurt's cloak, so I will make a separate post about that- (Or maybe just include it in the video post???)

And for some reason, no signs of 4★ CuChulain yet- Where the heck are you, CuChulain- You're not even a boss or rare encounter, I'm so confused as to why you're so hard to meet-

So...I was reading the Orega Fire's adventure in the manga because I got bored and...

I HAVE NEVER BEEN SO ROBBED BEFORE

You're telling me that the Oreca Battle could've actually go on a different story if they were to choose the manga's storyline??

We're so robbed...

1. The main character introduction felt more natural

2. The adults can see the monster instead of just the players

3. Orega Fire can kickass?? I wish to see more of that

4.I was not expecting the manga went for a darker turn (I know they're gonna removed the blood in the anime but..holy crap)

5. Maybe I forgot about the anime but I really love that version of Mafuyu's backstory.

6.I adore seeing Nanawaraig's other personality, kinda wish they kept that

7.I know they gonna need a bigger budget for this but man, I wish we can see the other monsters that weren't show in the anime

8.Pazuzu was supposed to be a big threat in this story?? And that Mus became Orega Fire's Ally in the anime too?? Yeah we're totally robbed.

The list can go on and on...

That's how I felt reading the manga for the very first time, it became my favorite manga of the year

GOSH, I FELT- The anime and manga felt so much different, it was so wild- Both have their own uniqueness in their execution for the story, like how the anime is really trying to give the highlights to the protagonists from New Chapters series

First off, I am very much in agreement with how much better the introduction for our battlers are in the manga! Data and Gantetsu didn't just suddenly appear, and also get a highlight of how their personality are like!

Also the dark turn that the manga took, that was actually one of the aspect I like from the manga as well! The shocking card ripping, Fire who actually got hurt from the battle, and even how the adults can see the monsters and the damage of what happened after a battle as well, that put much more stakes in the battles! The anime instead give us the arc where Tanta fall into darkness and betray the team at episode 4 which is... actually pretty shocking and cool as well tbh-

Also, the pacing the manga have with the demon kings' respective arcs was much better as well I especially loved how they let Data fought against Demon King Azul by himself first, it makes much more sense for his character growth! I felt like that moment was stolen by the duel/rivalry between CuChulainn and GeBulg-

Like, friggin dammit man, we could have more time to process the Kazegakure Village arc to give Oroshi much more believable motive for poisoning Nanawarai as well- If only Saqqara's arc didn't hoard that much episodes ksjrgrehrh-

But also, the end arc after all of the Demon Kings finally defeated in the manga... feels a bit uncooked tbh- Even tho Pazuzu being the new threat to the Oreca Boys group is really cool (especially with him disguising himself as a human-), I still feel like the arc with the New Chapters' protagonists feels a bit under-prepared

I can definitely felt the lack of preparation within Rock's chapter the most Like, since the group have defeated both Saqqara and Enma early on, we end up having Gozumezu as the enemy of this chapter Which... kinda funny because Gozu and Mezu should've been defeated along with Enma on chapter 16-

...I end up rambling as well, lmao-

Anyway, the anime did have some pacing issue toward the end, while the only issue with the manga is within the new arc after all of the Demon Kings were defeated Kinda making it feels like the manga was planned to end after defeating Evil Lord Mus-

Imagine, what if when Oreca Battle 2 finally releases their Chapter 6 and Dia made a comeback as 4☆ Brilliant Heroine Dia, and as a time-limited boss as well-

Also, if the schedule update for Oreca Battle 2 is right.

I think my prediction of each chapter's release (3 months is three phase) will go like this (CH0 is pretty much confirm)

Chapter 2: June 2025 - August 2025

Chapter 3: September 2025 - November 2025

Did the same calculation for OB1 (I just can't believe we are this close)

Otsu Post for my Oreca Battle Session from May 2024-

I made a blog entry for this month's session, because miracle occurs and so many things happened at once, it was one of the most insane session I've ever had since the last time I battled Red Dragon-

I did spent more credits than I usually do for funsies, but my god, what followed after-

((Also please do ignore the shitty doodle I used as this entry's thumbnail, I wanted it to look as shitpost-y as possible-))

For the past few months, I have been going into the arcade to play Oreca, with missions on hand Those missions are,

Get 4★ CuChulainn's item, "Holy Will"

Get 3★ Darkness Magica's item, "Raven Magic Stone"

Hang out at Chapter 6 for a chance to meet Pyramid Head

I don't have much expectation with my luck, so I usually give 3 chances to explore each chapters incase I didn't meet any of the monsters I was aiming for

And guess who I met on my first encounter of the day?

FRIGGIN CUCHULAINN- AND HE GAVE ME "HOLY WILL"-

AFTER SO MANY TRIES AND NOT BEING ABLE TO MEET HIM, HE SHOWS UP ON MY FIRST PLAY-

Finally having one mission crossed off, I thought maybe I could relax a bit, try my luck on the other mission, y'know?

And my second play started WAY TOO INTENSE for my poor mind-

DARKNESS MAGICA SHOWS UP-

AND WITHIN THE INCH OF HIS LIFE, BEELZEBUB CASTED "DEATH" AND EARNED US A VICTORY

AND MY WHITE WHALE, "RAVEN MAGIC STONE" AAAAAAAA---

AFTER TRYING SO MANY TIMES TO MEET HIM AND NIHIL, THEN FIGHTING HIM 2 TIMES AND GOT NO ITEM TWICE AS WELL- AEFKHKDFJHJGVDRTG--

At this point, I grew anxious- I contacted Enzina and talked to her to calm myself down, because this was a barrage of stimulation-

Then I told her, "Yeah, let's take things slow. I might try to get Kurt or Dran for now"

Guess what, tho?

PANDORA SAYS NO, WE GO TO THE GHOST SHIP-

We might have lost the battle, but guess who got commands up and joined the team with rare item???

DEMON KING AZUL JOINED, BRINGING "EVIL SHELL SAUSE"!!!

THE RARE ITEM THAT CAN CHANGE 4★ DANTE AND 4★ POWAN BGM INTO THE ACCOUSTIC VERSION IN BATTLE!!!

UPDATE (28th May 2024)

It have come to my attention that "Evil Shell Sause" is only able to change Azul's card illustration, so yea-

I was drunk on excitement and dehydration I think, lmao-

So yea, with all of this big encounters all happened one after another, I finally took a break because the excitement and rush actually makes my head hurts-

It doesn't help with the fact that Indonesia (and the rest of the SEA countries-) are getting hit by intense heatwave, and how crowded the arcade was that day-

And after the much needed rest, I went back to the arcade and finally took my own advice seriously, "Take things slow"-

And take things slow we did, since searching for Dran and Kurt was a simple task, and Dark Magica with CuChulainn only need to be combined with their item!

With 1 last play in mind, I try my luck once again on Chapter 6, with a team consisting of 2★ Dia, 4★ CuChulainn, and 4★ Culann Cuz y'know, I need to level up Dia too-

And... guess who greeted us, like RIGHT AWAY at the first enemy selection screen?

Yes, that's right, THE MONSTER, THE MYTH, THE LEGEND, THE RARE ENCOUNTER OF CHAPTER 6-

FUCKING PYRAMID HEAD--

THIS WAS MY FUCKING LAST PLAY, I WAS NOT EXPECTING BIG THINGS-

BUT PYRAMID HEAD???? THE ONE MONSTERS I WAS AIMING EVER SINCE I STARTED TO GO LEVELLING AT CHAPTER 6 SINCE FEBRUARY????

Wait wait wait, there's lore on each chapter?! I just know each character to be connected just by one chapter each so aaaaaaaaaaaa- I didn't know and I read on the bits of oreca battle manga you've posted about and I crave more of those mangas! Please share more about the lores you want to give, anything really!

P.S. Hope you can get 4☆ Magica someday, even though Dark Magica's laughing at your suffering rn

Yes there are actually lore and even side stories surrounding each chapters! And if you try to connect the dots, some chapters lore are actually intertwining with each other as well (ex. Prologue with Ch. 4, Ch. 1 with Ch. 5, etc.)

It also took me a long time to figure out how the lore goes- Thanks for some of the official manga previews, fanarts, and fan-theories from the JP fandom on both Pixiv, the fanwiki, and twitter, I could connect some dots that makes the most sense to me

The hardest lore for me to figure out are New Chapter 5 and New Chapter 7, since there are very little fan stuff about these chapters-

There might be some clues on what is going on with New Chapter 5 in Demizu Posuka-sensei's manga for Ginger Ale, since some of the key characters from this manga also made a pretty significant appearance in the game For example, Ramune who is according to the fanwiki, is the one who call out/resurrect Azul's and Merrow's souls in New Chapter 5

And... I might make separate post of me rambling about New Chapter 6 after this, because it is one of my most favorite untranslated chapter

And if I were to write it here, it might get too long, since this answer is already this long by itself-

Aaaaaa, thanks a lot on answering my ask on Oreca Battle! I'm in the same country as you, so it's a shock to realize about that today. I usually focus on posts with tags I'm interested in, so it's both amazing and I'm really glad you keep on posting about Oreca Battle that got me wanting to play it at the arcades again.

Back to giving an ask here, hope it's alright for me to go for Oreca Battle related things most of the time, which monsters you're looking forward to see in the future and bosses to fight? To me, Ares and Chrom from Chapter 5 as well as the time dragon with the prophet!

It is absolutely alright! I'm so happy to receive more Oreca related asks as well!

Also, I feel you! I would love to be able to meet Merlin and fight Ares as a demon king!

Ares's story is so tragic, but I'm glad that he could have a redemption arc (although it was said that the card is event limited only-)

And if there is a possibility, I would love if someday we will be able to get localization for New Chapter 6! When I was first searching info on what Oreca Battle is, I stumbled unto Camael, and honestly, this angel took my breath away-

Gosh, their backstory is another level of tragedy- I read Camael's story from the JP Fanwiki, and just in absolute shock of how much despair befell this character The feeling of being betrayed by his friend, turning into an undead, and just burning in hatred- It just, whoa-

This is a messy blog entry about the day I joined Pandora Party, a virtual comiket-like event for Oreca Battle community

This is a random blog-like entry, so long writing is to be expected Please don’t read it, because it is long, and cluttered as heck-

So, Pandora Party-

I wasn’t actually planning to join, because I was afraid- But suddenly, when I was in the middle of drawing a meme (again-), a sudden burst energy came out of nowhere and give me to push to make PictSquare account 

Driven by this unknown energy, I opened the link to the website and register myself And, funnily enough, the website needed phone verification- I was taken aback, I haven’t buy the fund to make any kind of call on my number, most of the fund always goes to internet package- But welp, I wanted to do this, so might as well do it until the end-

After a nerve-wracking, but actually really easy and fast process, now I have can join the virtual space for Pandora Party!

When I was looking around the booth, someone with a very cute Tanta avatar approached me

I was very surprised when they said “Welcome”!

Like, oh my god- I wasn’t expecting to be greeted or anything, but suddenly someone talked to me????

They changed their avatar into Pandora, and start to shows some cool special effects you can do in this website! I didn’t know you could do special effect, so my reaction was to put some surprised kaomoji, because I was genuinely surprised-

They talked to me very kindly, and informed me about a photo session that will be held at 21:00 Japan’s time

If you ever happened to see this blog, please let me thank you again! I am seriously thankful, I felt very welcomed and had a lot of fun in the event!

I believe this part is inspired by The Prologue and Chapter 4 The castle theming and how some foods are laid out makes me feel like having a banquet in the castle~

This area is probably inspired by Chapter 1 Making it beach-themed instead of underwater feels really playful, it was fun!

I think this area is inspired by Chapter 2 and Chapter 6 The use of graveyard to represent Chapter 6 felt really sad, but also make sense- I mean, the theme that surround chapter 6 are about undead and angels after all

And gosh, the fact that they made it so the desert that represent Chapter 2 is on top of the graveyard- The inevitable ending of Chapter 6, it still makes me super sad thinking about it-

And the last one are I took the photo is this area that are inspired by Chapter 3 and 7 The open bath felt like a really funny addition tbh, but fun nonetheless! And the forest was pretty, I like it!

There was also other area for R-18 booth, which are funnily enough was arranged so it looks like a bathroom- It was pretty funny, but I kind of afraid to take a photo at that area, so there was no photo of the comically large bath tub and the suspiciously placed double bed in my gallery-

I visited a lot of Oreca fanartists booth, and learned what is Net Print in the process!

I was actually a bit sad I can’t buy anything from the event (not a lot of delivery service support Indonesia), but learning about Net Print gave me some bit of hope

You see, I happen to find an account that help print and send Net Print to people outside Japan, and it look like they support delivery to Indonesia! So I can have some printed works of my favorite character from my favorite artists!!! God bless these 3rd party account, man-

At the end of the event (around 21:00 Japan Time), the organizer makes an announcement that everyone is about to take commemorative photo

If someone from the event happen to see this blog entry, I just want to say, I’m so sorry for intruding-

But it was fun!!! Doing the “Shooting Star” special effect while the organizer take a photo was really fun! And seeing everyone’s cute and amazing custom avatars are such a delight! Maybe I’ll make my own Dark Warrior Tanta avatar if I can attend the next event someday~

I didn’t take any photo for myself because I was too nervous, which kind of sad But I can save some photos from others for myself and my other personal blog that I don’t share around, so I think this is okay!
