🫧 Character Info 🫧 Powan is a calm and reasonable girl, highly respected amongst the people in the Water Kingdom. She may look like a teenager, but she's actually an immortal Water Mage! The Guardian of the Evil Sea, which is a fancy yet confusing way of calling her the aquatic warden who takes down evil sea creatures and makes the innocent ones are safe. She's been around since the dawn of time, protecting good beings while taking down evil ones! With Powan in particular is the one who arrests evil, while her older brother is in charge of making sure they remain locked up in the Evil Sea. Often enough, Powan can be seen patrolling all over the Water Kingdom! Even spotted assisting the Royal Family.

Been a fan of the Oreca Battle Series, all thanks to its arcade game located in several malls I usually go to! 🎀 Powan herself is actually my first ever Oreca that I obtained in the game, and is often in my team thus my overall favorite! 🫧

I felt like making a possible Oreca Battle AU! But I don't know that much aside from the arcade game, and knowing there's an anime about it. So I'll just come up with something that's mostly original instead! 🪴

Ig gonna talk Oreca spoilers/corocoro thoughts here every month now, because why not So, spoilers for some new cards/monsters evos (specifically Stan and Busker), as well new manga chapter

One of 2 spreads from this issue, 2nd got Zenogon/Oremon info, which ain't new I think. Also confirms Muus to come to Oreca 2 Note: names tl are more of my own taste, than in-line with official SEA english release (as I can't really access it either) 3 and 4 stars evos for Dark Warrior Stan!

3 Stars: Sangria Knight, Stan (alt color tls "Dark-Red/Dark Rouge Knight, Stan") (I just feel Sangria fits due to color+Orecas tend of using alco related names? lit it's just dark-red, so picking a shade name of it that made sense to me) His EX Move name is: Darkness of Nihility Evo item has pun on "Midnight" with its name so uh: Wicked-dyed Cloak

4 Stars: Knight of Crimson Lotus, Stan (It is said crimson lotus grows on place of battlefields, thrives in soil that been soaked in blood...) (another fun fact ig, 紅蓮 and グレン are of same sound. 2nd is name of his fellow knight (the meaning be different though. On it later) ...wonder if there's connection/this was a nod) EX Move: Nihility Demise

And Busker

Another 4 Stars: Wicked Lord, Busker Ex Move: Heatwave Hellfire Evo item: Dark Wheat (. another one of guren puns here huh. They really like the sound of it, I guess)

The manga chapter was nice! We got to meet Glen (グレン which could mean "Valley", assuming it's Glen(n) and not Gren. Also, I feel there's pun on グレる-to go wrong, stray from the right path; considering that he sided with Busker, as I got from pre-battle cutscene between him, Stan and Aria) who seems like a "righteous" knight, but with high ego, going "it's weak knights fault for falling to Busker" and such. Makes me understand his game version. Good to see that they indeed explaining/showing characters here Anyway, he's also seems to be the reason why Stan turns dark, but it happens at the end of chapter, so uh, next month we will know, I guess </3 Nagi seems like a good protag, going "gramps taught me, that strong is the one who protects his comrades, and if you ran, the one who was left alone, it means you are the weak one" against Glen's "who survived, left weak to perish, is the strongest" Me, when my knight in kiddie media have issues/are indeed fun to follow <3 Also, Rewinder was peak again as always oh my god, truly one of the best current coro mangas fr fr Also, look at my boy he finally getting turned into marketable plushie!! I wouldn't be able to get him but </3 oh well

So it’s slightly different for the virtual race, as instead of 4 categories there’s only 2. I’ll explain how it is in the virtual as that’s easier to understand. Also this will be somewhat shite. Also I don’t pretend to understand WEC I just watch for many hours of zoom zooms.

LMP (Le Mans Prototype) - these are the funky spaceship looking cars! There are varying types of LMP but the one used in this virtual race is based off an Oreca LMP2 so they’re all virtual LMP2′s (second fastest LMP category) but should be faster than the GTEs. Max, Lando, and Pierre are racing in LMP (Team Redline (#20) and Veloce Esports 1 (#24)). Cars #1 - #50 are LMP teams

Fun fact the safety car is going to be a virtual version of a hydrogen powered LMP (this is not what normally happens, usually there are 3 safety cars because Circuit de la Sarthe is a big track but eh they can just code the cars to go slowly during a safety car I guess?).

GTE (Grand Touring Endurance) - these look like actual cars! Because they’re heavily modified versions of road production cars! There are going to be four models that the teams can chose to use; Aston Martin Vantage, Corvette C.7R, Ferrari 488 GTE and Porsche 911 RSR. Charles is racing in GTE (Ferrari AF Corse (#52)) (damn you ferrari give your teams numbers in their names you have 3 teams and I’m confused already). Cars #51 - #99 are GTE

How Are Classes Decided? Some of the teams have chosen the category they usually race in IRL (e.g. Toyota usually races LMP1, Penske usually races DPi so they’re both in LMP, and the Aston Martin teams run the Vantage IRL so they’re running the virtual Vantage).

A year ago when I was still on twitter, someone I followed retweeted this tweet about celebrating "Dante's Day" on 10th of May

Funnily enough, Dante's Day are not related to either Dante from Oreca Battle or Dante from Devil May Cry series,

But to celebrate the birthday of the brother of a CEO from a food company, whose favorite food happened to be Baumkuchen

Hii, it's been a while since I send an ask and hope you're doing okay! Thanks a lot for the card redraws, I can use my old card and aaaaa- They're also the perfect size when I printed the three of them on normal paper like, the attention to detail here are just too good!!! (T^T)

I want to ask on umm... maybe the elements in general and command reels, if that's okay. Does the Oreca monsters' elements affect the amount of damage to the enemy? How do you get the command to change from one command reels to another (I mean on changing from 1* reel to 2* reel for example) and/or Store Up command?

I'm doing okay, and you're welcome! I'm very glad to hear that your old companions can join in your battle again! (^^

Also wow, this is a pretty heavy question- But I'll try my best to answer to the best of my abilities, even tho I'm not really experienced in this subject-

Please keep in mind that most of what I'm going to write here are stuff that I learned second-handedly(?) from much more experienced players from both the FB community, the Japanese Oreca Battlers community, and the JP fanwiki I hope I can do what I've learned from them justice by trying to explain this-

First of all,

Elements/Attributes affect the power of your attack by a lot

Especially if you picked the right monsters with the right element attribute with your opponent

Let's take a look at this handy dandy element table that's illustrated on the JP fanwiki

As explained by Data here, a monster with fire attribute are stronger against water attribute monsters, especially if your attacks also have the right(?) element attribute as well

And by referring to the handy dandy element table from the JP fanwiki, you can easily discern which other element are stronger from which element

But as you can see, there's also the second attribute that each elements have, like Heat, Ice, Thunder, and Poison And not mentioned on the table, there are other hidden(?) attribute like Light, Dark, Holy, and Evil

Most of these second/hidden element are usually placed as an attack's attribute, like Ares's "Heat Saber" (Heat), Dia's "Shining Claiomh Solais" (Light), Mummy's "Acid" (Poison), and many, many many more-

For more precise and detailed info, I'd suggest to check the JP fanwiki instead, but for easier understanding, just refer back to the previously introduced handy dandy element table, and/or checking each character's entry in the JP fanwiki

And now, here comes the most complicated and hard to explain part of this game! Say hello to the hidden mechanic with no official explanation of Oreca Battle,

Skill and Technique Cost!

As explained by JP fanwiki, there is no real official statement on this mechanic, and most of what is written on the JP fanwiki are fruit of labor and experimentation by many Oreca Battlers over the years

But let's try to simplify it a bit- This is how I understand it, and it might be wrong too, so, yea- Please take this with a grain of salt-

I'm going to use my team's Beelzebub's commands reel as an example here, like, a bad example-

Let's say that a command reel have certain but undeterminable maximum value, okay? First of all, Beelzebub's first reel have "Death", which is a very cost heavy skill This means, it's going to be pretty difficult to get "★->★★" If I don't get rid of "Death" on that first reel, it will be either be nearly impossible or took a lot of luck for a "★->★★" to shows up on that reel

And not to mention, the RNG factor- Sometime, the certain command you want to change might not get replaced, or you get a bad command instead (ex. "Critical Strike" became a normal "Attack") This RNG factor became even worse when your monster reached level 10-

For example After reaching level 10, my team's Burn, CuChulain, and Culann have the tendencies to learn "Cover" or other lower cost skill to replace other powerful commands more often than they were before reaching level 10 There was this one time when my team's Lv. 10 Burn managed to learn "★★->★★★" by pure luck, but other than that, he always insist on learning "Phoenix Cloak" instead-

This is probably why every command sample you see on the JP fanwiki always insist that you need atleast one or two "Miss"/"Smile"/"Attack"/"Save up" commands on your reel, so you can fit more "★->★★" and the likes on your reel

So if you want to increase the probability of getting more "★->★★", you will need to either replace some heavy-looking skill, or take a lot of patience-

Did you know that some of the Oreca Battle characters get some redesign choice in the EN version?

One of the few example I can talk about today is 1★ Red Princess

On the EN version, her nose got smaller on both the card illustration and 3D model

It was pretty funny tbh, because when I was first starting Oreca, I thought Red Princess was a chihuahua at first- It took me so long to realize that her design is actually based on a pig-

I'm not really sure for the reason behind this censorship, but it happened I heard there are some other characters that received the same treatment, but I'm not sure if I can get their cards to do comparison anytime soon-

So, from today's spontaneous session to answer my curiosity, I learnt some stuff about PvP mode for Oreca Battle

You can absolutely battle with your own cards, as in battling against cards with the same battler's name

You can level up from PvP battle, and then print one card from each team (can print more with more credit)

Each player are only able to use one button on their respective side, probably no difference with the lever

My old Flow's card is really unable to be scanned anymore eversince my cat touched it (probably only a coincidence, but it's still a hella funny reason-)

I really, REALLY NEED TO DRINK WATER BEFORE BATTLING-

Someone asked on how to get Culann in the comment section of my video Since Culann is pretty complex to get and I'm afraid if only telling it through text might not get the step-by step clear, I thought of making this list(?) instead!

I personally got my Dark Matter from Burnt's guaranteed drop~ It wasn't planned, but I'm still glad he gave it to me-

Lmaoo, that Kurt attack with Chance Strike doodle that ended up on losing- I haven't met him yet, but he looks like he means well even though clumsy on using his sword properly and left to good chance on dealing high damage XD

Thanks for pointing me on the JP fanwiki a lot, there's a lot to find out and I learned new stuff with each time I read the long texts one at a time. And yikes, it's gonna end up becoming a document or two if printed out to read by paper and not website, at least half jokingly speaking- By the way, how did you find the images for each monsters in your posts? And got the feeling that this Dark Matter stuff is way too dangerous for anyone to have, but uhh... what is it really?

That one is actually the second time I encountered him- The first time, it was with 3★ Hero Kurt, and Burn one-hit KO'd him easily-

But the second time? Kurt is the one who wiped the floor with us- And with his 2★ form nontheless, it's insane-

And yes, the info from the JP Fanwiki are very extensive! They put so many information from so many sources that are otherwise hard and almost impossible to access anymore (ex. some printed books like the collection guide, text from in-game's limited time events, etc.)

Heck, they even write down some machine trivia, advices, and some of the JP fandom's vocabulary/inside jokes with explanations!

For the images for the monsters, I usually just use the pics from Konami's official website for Oreca Battle-

And for Dark Matter... I have no clear idea on what it actually is- I only know that it grants immense power to those who are willing to pay/sacrifice anything to the force of darkness

In Demizu Posuka's manga, the one who gives out these Dark Matter are from the Demon tribe (eg. Demon King Mus [gave one to Dante in Ch. 2], and Demon Emperor Laphroaig [forced gave one to Culann in Ch. 5])

Which... kind of make sense because of Dark Matter's properties of corrupting the wearer and such, and their ambition on taking over the kingdom (or maybe even the world?)

But in-game, the one who gives these Dark Matter are the ones who have been corrupted by the power of darkness instead (eg. Dark Warrior Tanta, Inferno Knight Burn, and Dark Armor Knight Culann)

One might interpret it as a way to spread Dark Matter corruption and the force of darkness to those who are deemed worthy? Not sure, tbh-

I just got up and the first post I see is your video of your fight against Red Dragon back in December? AAAAAA, thanks a lot for the subtitles since it's a bit hard on to pick up what each characters are saying! Wait... wait, hold on a sec? Did you say you were planning to fight Demon King Mus instead of Red Dragon there? Cuz ohmygosh, you're way too lucky on Red Dragon's EX not landing on any attacks there. Just got an imagination that it's like Pandora playing a prank on you instead of giving out Mus, he gives you Red Dragon after you scanned the cards because he sees the command reels just wayy too timing precision based and just goes "Hohoho, let me give you Red Dragon instead and go easy on you a little bit!" aka giving you the first anime battle being Red Dragon. But it actually went on way too luck based there XDDD

Fun fact: If you defeat an enemy that's darkened out so only their one/two person figures are revealed (I like to call them boss enemies), your name will be engraved on the boss section for other players to see when passing by without playing the game. Dunno how that works as of now but hey, getting one bragging rights about how you defeat the said boss enemy with what Oreca monsters you use is amazing enough! Thanks a lot for the video and out of curiosity, what apps you edit the videos out and how the heck you can both record and hit the buttons so fast?! Not to mean offense but wanna try to do that too aaaaaa-

Yea, some of my squad's reels kinda suck lmao- This was result of my anxiety ridden panic, in which I choose to do slime levelling without thinking because I was afraid the machine at my local arcade might suddenly disappear o<-<

Lady luck really smiles on me that day- All of Red Dragon's missing EX moves, nobody get KO'ed, This is one of my fav fight after Salamander-

I edited my video on laptop actually, my phone is probably not strong enough for vid editing apps-

I used AviUtl for my editing but I can't really recommend that one because it's not exactly user friendly and requires lotsa of experimenting

I would recommend either Filmora or Capcut I never actually use Capcut, but I've seen some tutorials and see how the UI looks like, and it looks pretty beginner friendly to me

Also not sure if it's relevant, but I used to play rhythm games, so button spamming is my specialty- /slapped

This is a messy blog entry about the day I joined Pandora Party, a virtual comiket-like event for Oreca Battle community

This is a random blog-like entry, so long writing is to be expected Please don’t read it, because it is long, and cluttered as heck-

So, Pandora Party-

I wasn’t actually planning to join, because I was afraid- But suddenly, when I was in the middle of drawing a meme (again-), a sudden burst energy came out of nowhere and give me to push to make PictSquare account 

Driven by this unknown energy, I opened the link to the website and register myself And, funnily enough, the website needed phone verification- I was taken aback, I haven’t buy the fund to make any kind of call on my number, most of the fund always goes to internet package- But welp, I wanted to do this, so might as well do it until the end-

After a nerve-wracking, but actually really easy and fast process, now I have can join the virtual space for Pandora Party!

When I was looking around the booth, someone with a very cute Tanta avatar approached me

I was very surprised when they said “Welcome”!

Like, oh my god- I wasn’t expecting to be greeted or anything, but suddenly someone talked to me????

They changed their avatar into Pandora, and start to shows some cool special effects you can do in this website! I didn’t know you could do special effect, so my reaction was to put some surprised kaomoji, because I was genuinely surprised-

They talked to me very kindly, and informed me about a photo session that will be held at 21:00 Japan’s time

If you ever happened to see this blog, please let me thank you again! I am seriously thankful, I felt very welcomed and had a lot of fun in the event!

I took some commemorative photos for myself, I try not to include any of the booth because that would be rude

Here are some of them that I like:

I believe this part is inspired by The Prologue and Chapter 4 The castle theming and how some foods are laid out makes me feel like having a banquet in the castle~

This area is probably inspired by Chapter 1 Making it beach-themed instead of underwater feels really playful, it was fun!

I think this area is inspired by Chapter 2 and Chapter 6 The use of graveyard to represent Chapter 6 felt really sad, but also make sense- I mean, the theme that surround chapter 6 are about undead and angels after all

And gosh, the fact that they made it so the desert that represent Chapter 2 is on top of the graveyard- The inevitable ending of Chapter 6, it still makes me super sad thinking about it-

And the last one are I took the photo is this area that are inspired by Chapter 3 and 7 The open bath felt like a really funny addition tbh, but fun nonetheless! And the forest was pretty, I like it!

There was also other area for R-18 booth, which are funnily enough was arranged so it looks like a bathroom- It was pretty funny, but I kind of afraid to take a photo at that area, so there was no photo of the comically large bath tub and the suspiciously placed double bed in my gallery-

I visited a lot of Oreca fanartists booth, and learned what is Net Print in the process!

I was actually a bit sad I can’t buy anything from the event (not a lot of delivery service support Indonesia), but learning about Net Print gave me some bit of hope

You see, I happen to find an account that help print and send Net Print to people outside Japan, and it look like they support delivery to Indonesia! So I can have some printed works of my favorite character from my favorite artists!!! God bless these 3rd party account, man-

At the end of the event (around 21:00 Japan Time), the organizer makes an announcement that everyone is about to take commemorative photo

Me, being my idiot self with my basic ass avatar, meddle with the group- I don’t even know why did I let myself join their photo session when even Kuru isn’t present-

But yeah, I did get uh... included in the photo-

If someone from the event happen to see this blog entry, I just want to say, I’m so sorry for intruding-

But it was fun!!! Doing the “Shooting Star” special effect while the organizer take a photo was really fun! And seeing everyone’s cute and amazing custom avatars are such a delight! Maybe I’ll make my own Dark Warrior Tanta avatar if I can attend the next event someday~

I didn’t take any photo for myself because I was too nervous, which kind of sad But I can save some photos from others for myself and my other personal blog that I don’t share around, so I think this is okay!
