summary: after a long and arduous night, there’s nothing like waking up in the arms of your beloved.

a/n: it’s been a whole two years since I last wrote for OC x Canon week! i know I’ve improved a lot in my writing in these two years, so I had to come back with the two sillies <3

light seeps in through the snow-crested windows; it was the end of another long winter for the kingdom, as through the cracks in the endless white, the beginnings of spring were seeping through. just as a new season rises upon the holy kingdom, so too does a new beginning for the two fast asleep underneath the covers.

the king and queen of faerghus. never in maria’s wildest dreams did she ever think to stand beside dimitri, not just as a resident of the kingdom, but as his lover, his queen.

maria watches as her husband sleeps soundly; he hadn’t slept this well in years, and she certainly didn’t expect him to get good rest after the war ended. she chuckles, inching closer to him.

“I never noticed how peaceful one looks when they are fast asleep, ‘tis a wonderful look on you, my love.”

she places a hand on his cheek, admiring every inch of his face; she had never been this close to dimitri before, even when they were children.

a groan from the man beside her made maria take back her hand. it seems that the king wasn’t as much of a heavy sleeper as she made him out to be. as dimitri’s eye adjusted to the light, he brandished a drowsy smile.

“is it already morning, my dear? how the night flies…”

he comments, gently placing a hand on the small of maria’s back, pulling her closer.

“forgive me for my boldness, but I do not wish to let you go just yet. we have time to kill, do we not?”

maria sighs, brushing a stray hair out of dimitri’s face before placing her head onto his chest.

“I suppose I can indulge you for a moment longer, my king. however, need I remind you of the many royal duties that need completing, ‘mitri?”

dimitri chuckles, wrapping his arms around her.

“ duties that will be faced later, my queen. for now, we should enjoy our time together.”

a hum of agreement left maria’s lips as she nestled into her lover’s embrace. perhaps, she could allow herself a moment of respite after all they had been through. she yawns, falling back into a peaceful slumber.

oh, how she wished for every morning was as sweet as this one.

Happy STS! What would your OCs be like as magical girls?

Oh that's a nice one!

Ceres would be the main one. Her color would be pink. Meine would be blue, Alisson would be yellow, Yuri would be orange and Dimitri would be purple.

I think their powers would be based off like, objects? I had an idea of putting some symbolism in the story for them so this will do. OR we could just do a 1-1 and have Ceres's power rely on copying + adapting her friend's powers by herself (like that fifth ace girl from glitter force doki doki), Yuri would be fire-based, Alisson would be ice-based (i know she's yellow but shhh), Meine's would be some sort of analytical power (like see the stats of their opponents?? It'd be fun) and I'd want Dimitri's to paralel Ceres's so perhaps it can copy the powers of their enemies instead of their allies.

Their little Creature would be a duck-cat-thingy. And also their transformation would be dependent on a piece of jewel. Like, I can't think of similar examples, but those sorts of uniforms that are compressed into one little bracelet so they press it and Turn Into it? The jewel is magic and if they have it they can do the magical girl transformation. Meine's would be one of those tie jewels, Alisson's would be a ring, Ceres's would be earrings, Dimitri's would be too, and Yuri's would be a hairband/hairpin.
