The Koopalings in paper Mario colour splash

i think i'm going to keep the Koopalings as bosses in this game, i know they objectively aren't good bosses, but for some reason i like them so i decided i'm going to try work them into something better

the main way im doing this is just giving them more story involvement.

for example wendy in chapter 4, im going have her show up way earlier and have her race mario to the purple big paint star with her own pirate crew made out of bowser minions.

she can have a massive dilapidated old pirate ship she has tricked out with bows and gold rings to give her more personality and va va voom too

another example is that in chapter 6, im going to make is lemmy was using his magic to turn the forest weirder so he can use it as his own personal playground.

this would explain why all forest stages in the game have something weird going on about them in them.

In Paper Mario: Color Splash, one particular sprite of the red Slurp Guy is extremely bizarre as it is saved as a graphic that is over 2500 pixels tall, consists of mostly empty space, and has the words "*mask_path" in the upper right corner. No other sprite in the game has unused empty space of this kind. Details in image.
