What Does a Web Developer Do
When you think about it, web development is THE cornerstone of all things tech (without it, there wouldn’t be any websites or apps). It’s the process that turns the visions and plans created by web designers into what you see on your phone, tablet, or computer screen.
In order to do their jobs well, web developers must be proficient in a variety of programming languages and technologies. They must also have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, as well as a keen eye for detail, to be able to verify that their code is clean and free of errors.
Front end web developers create the visual and interactive elements that users interact with, using coding languages like HTML, CSS, and Javascript. They often collaborate with the design team to ensure that a website is aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly.
Back-end developers work behind the scenes, managing databases and server configurations to facilitate quick loading times and robust cybersecurity measures.
Full-stack developers are proficient in both front-end and back-end development, enabling them to oversee the entire web development process, from user interface design to server-side scripting. You can find Web Development Company UK.

E-commerce developers are responsible for creating online shopping carts and digital marketplaces that enable users to purchase products and services through secure payment gateways. These developers often use platforms such as Magento, WooCommerce, Shopify, and custom e-commerce solutions to manage their projects.
They must have a thorough understanding of e-commerce best practices and be able to create and integrate secure payment systems, product catalogues, and inventory management features. You can choose an E-commerce Website Development Company.
Web Development Company provides different kinds of services: -
Vue js Development- Vue is much simpler than React, requiring only JSX and ES2015 (or a compatible JS compile tool like Babel Standalone). Learning enough to build non-trivial applications typically takes developers less than a day.
Vue operates within the model-view-view model framework and provides reactive synchronization between the view and model layers through two-way data binding. It also has a small footprint, making it ideal for incremental integration into existing projects. You can choose Vue js Development Company.
Django Web Development- Its architecture is designed to allow for a scalable back-end for web applications that manage and query data through Python objects known as models. It also provides a choice of several popular databases and supports multiple template systems.
PHP Development Company- Choose a development partner that prioritizes effective communication and quality work. Check client reviews and their portfolio for evidence of their experience working on similar projects or industries.
Build e-commerce solutions or social networking platforms with comprehensive, seamless, custom PHP development expertise. A PHP Development Company will ensure the best quality, fast-paced delivery and reliable support for sustained success.
WordPress Web Design London- Whether you are looking to build a new website or optimize an existing one, you can trust these agencies to create a visually stunning and user-friendly website that supports your brand. Evaluate their past work, client reviews, and service offerings to choose the right partner for your project. You can find WordPress Web Design London.
Responsive Web Design- With people accessing the internet on smartphones, tablets, 2-in-1 laptops and desktop screens, it’s no longer enough to design a website that looks good on one screen size. You can get Responsive Web Designing Services from Mont Digital.
Design handoff tools like Zeplin, Sympli, Marvel and InVision allow designers to iron out responsive issues early on in the process.
Web Design Lead Generation- Web Design Lead Generation is attracting and nurturing potential clients looking for a website designer. This can be done through a variety of strategies, such as creating high-value lead magnets, leveraging social media, utilizing local SEO, and offering free consultations or audits.
Web Service Integration- Web services allow different applications written in different codes to integrate across the internet. They can communicate through protocols like HTTP, SMTP and XML using UDDI, WSDL and SOAP.
Use the fields box to map the outputs of the integration to a form field. This will help red web Developmentuce a designer’s work when configuring input parameters.

Long post. Press j to skip.
I AM SICK OF THE STUPID AI DEBATES, does it imagine, is it based on copyrightable material, are my patterns in there?
That's not the point.
I briefly got into website design freelancing (less than 3 months) before burn out.
The main reason was that automation had begun for generating stylesheets in somewhat tasteful palettes, for automatically making html/xml (they really haven't learned to simplify and tidy code though, they just load 50 divs instead of one), for batch colourising design elements to match and savvy designers weren't building graphics from scratch and to spec unless it was their day job.
Custom php and database design died with the free bundled CMS packages that come with your host with massive mostly empty unused values.
No-one has talked about the previous waves of people automated out of work by website design generators, code generators, the fiverr atomisation of what would have been a designers job into 1 logo and a swatch inserted into a CMS by an unpaid intern. Reviews, tutorials, explanations and articles are generated by stealing youtube video captions, scraping fan sites and putting them on a webpage. Digitally processing images got automated with scripts stolen from fan creators who shared. Screencaps went from curated processed images made by a person to machine produced once half a second and uploaded indiscriminately. Media recaps get run into google translate and back which is why they often read as a little odd when you look up the first results.
This was people's work, some of it done out of love, some done for pay. It's all automated and any paid work is immediately copied/co-opted for 20 different half baked articles on sites with more traffic now. Another area of expertise I'd cultivated was deep dive research, poring over scans of magazines and analysing papers, fact checking. I manually checked people's code for errors or simplifications, you can get generators to do that too, even for php. I used to be an english-french translator.
The generators got renamed AI and slightly better at picture making and writing but it's the same concept.
The artists that designed the web templates are obscured, paid a flat fee by the CMS developpers, the CMS coders are obscured, paid for their code often in flat fees by a company that owns all copyright over the code and all the design elements that go with. That would have been me if I hadn't had further health issues, hiding a layer in one of the graphics or a joke in the code that may or may not make it through to the final product. Or I could be a proof reader and fact checker for articles that get barely enough traffic while they run as "multi snippets" in other publications.
The problem isn't that the machines got smarter, it's that they now encroach on a new much larger area of workers. I'd like to ask why the text to speech folks got a flat fee for their work for example: it's mass usage it should be residual based. So many coders and artists and writers got screwed into flat fee gigs instead of jobs that pay a minimum and more if it gets mass use.
The people willing to pay an artist for a rendition of their pet in the artist's style are the same willing to pay for me to rewrite a machine translation to have the same nuances as the original text. The same people who want free are going to push forward so they keep free if a little less special cats and translations. They're the same people who make clocks that last 5 years instead of the ones my great uncle made that outlived him. The same computer chips my aunt assembled in the UK for a basic wage are made with a lot more damaged tossed chips in a factory far away that you live in with suicide nets on the stairs.
There is so much more to 'AI' than the narrow snake oil you are being sold: it is the classic and ancient automation of work by replacing a human with a limited machine. Robot from serf (forced work for a small living)
It's a large scale generator just like ye olde glitter text generators except that threw a few pennies at the coders who made the generator and glitter text only matters when a human with a spark of imagination knows when to deploy it to funny effect. The issue is that artists and writers are being forced to gig already. We have already toppled into precariousness. We are already half way down the slippery slope if you can get paid a flat fee of $300 for something that could make 300k for the company. The generators are the big threat keeping folks afraid and looking at the *wrong* thing.
We need art and companies can afford to pay you for art. Gig work for artists isn't a safe stable living. The fact that they want to make machines to take that pittance isn't the point. There is money, lots of money. It's not being sent to the people who make art. It's not supporting artists to mess around and create something new. It's not a fight between you and a machine, it's a fight to have artists and artisans valued as deserving a living wage not surviving between gigs.
#saf#Rantings#Yes but can the machine think#I don't care. I don't care. I really don't care if the machine is more precise than the artisan#What happens to all our artisans?#Long post#Press j to skip

Common Challenges in Magento to Shopify Migration and How to Overcome Them
Migrating from Magento to Shopify is a strategic move for many businesses looking for a more scalable, user-friendly, and cost-effective eCommerce platform. However, the process comes with its own set of challenges, from data transfer complications to SEO risks. In this guide, we’ll explore the most common migration challenges and how to tackle them effectively to ensure a seamless transition.
1. Data Migration Complexity
Challenge-
Magento stores tend to have big product catalogs, customer information, and order history, so data migration is a complex task. Manually transferring the data may result in data loss, incorrect formatting, or mapping.
Solution-
Utilize automated migration software to simplify the process.
Backup your Magento database prior to migration to avoid data loss.
Check data mapping to make sure products, categories, and customer information are correctly mapped in Shopify.
2. URL Structure & SEO Maintenance
Challenge-
Magento and Shopify use varying URL structures, and if not properly managed, they can affect SEO rankings. Lost indexed URLs lead to broken links, decreased traffic, and lowered search engine positions.
Solution-
Implement 301 redirects from existing Magento URLs to new Shopify URLs to maintain SEO equity.
Move meta titles, descriptions, and alt texts manually or with an SEO migration tool.
Submit a refreshed XML sitemap to Google Search Console to reindex pages promptly.
3. Custom Features & Extensions Compatibility
Challenge-
Magento supports heavy customization with third-party extensions and custom-coded features. Shopify, however, has a distinct app ecosystem that might not be directly substitutable for Magento’s features.
Solution-
Determine essential features of your Magento store and discover Shopify app substitutes (e.g., Yotpo for reviews, Bold Product Options for advanced product customization).
For customized functionalities, hire a Shopify developer to create custom scripts or integrations.
Take advantage of Shopify Flow and Shopify Scripts for automations and higher-level customization on Shopify Plus.
4. Design & Theme Modifications
Problem-
Magento websites tend to have very customized themes that cannot necessarily be duplicated perfectly in Shopify. Shopify employs another templating language (Liquid) than Magento’s PHP-based infrastructure.
Solution-
Select a Shopify theme that best resembles your Magento look. There are numerous editable themes available at the Shopify Theme Store.
Use Shopify’s Theme Editor and manual CSS changes to customize the look and feel.
If necessary, hire a Shopify developer to develop a custom theme that suits your brand.
5. Payment Gateway & Checkout Differences
Challenge-
Magento allows merchants to customize the checkout process, while Shopify has a fixed checkout flow (unless using Shopify Plus). Additionally, some payment gateways used in Magento may not be available on Shopify.
Solution-
Check Shopify’s supported payment gateways and switch to an alternative if necessary.
Shopify Plus users can leverage Shopify Scripts to customize checkout flows. Optimize checkout with express payment options (Shopify Payments, PayPal, Apple Pay) for a seamless user experience.
6. Customer Accounts & Passwords Migration
Challenge-
For security policy reasons, customer passwords in Magento cannot be directly migrated to Shopify, so customers must reset their credentials.
Solution-
Let customers know ahead of time about the migration and offer an easy password reset link after the migration.
Utilize Shopify’s Bulk Invite to send reset directions in a bulk-efficient manner.
Offer discount codes or loyalty rewards to motivate customers to login and change their accounts.
7. Performance & Speed Optimization
Challenge-
Following migration, a few Shopify stores can have slower loading times caused by unoptimized images, excessive third-party apps, or suboptimal theme performance.
Solution-
Utilize Shopify’s native CDN (Content Delivery Network) for quicker image and content loading.
Optimize images with Shopify’s image compression tools (e.g., TinyPNG or Crush.pics).
Restrict unnecessary third-party apps and eliminate unwanted scripts to enhance load speed.
8. Training Your Team on Shopify
Challenge-
Magento users who are comfortable with its backend might feel Shopify’s admin panel is different and need training to effectively handle orders, inventory, and settings.
Solution-
Give hands-on Shopify training to staff through Shopify’s Help Center and Academy.
Establish user roles and permissions so team members have the appropriate level of access.
Utilize Shopify analytics and reports to assist your team in adjusting to Shopify’s dashboard.
Migration from Magento to Shopify is not without challenges, but with the right approach, tools, and professional assistance, migration can be seamless and extremely rewarding. By keeping data integrity, SEO integrity, design portability, and customer satisfaction in mind, companies can best take advantage of Shopify’s ease of use, scalability, and performance to scale their online business.

We are unable to provide a license code for you, and it’s because we already obtain the Plugin/Theme to the original developer. The use of a license code usually is for automatic updates and premium support from the original developer. Besides, we guarantee you to deliver a free manual update and minor assistance for your convenience of using the product. Refund Policy: If the plugin or theme is not working properly and we also fail to help you then, in that case, you will get the money back. If the plugin and theme are working properly then you will not get the money back. How to fix “style.css missing” error while uploading themes? A common issue that can occur with users new to installing WordPress themes is a “Broken theme and/or stylesheets missing” error message being displayed when trying to upload or activate the theme. This is because the theme download package on ThemeForest includes additional files to the theme such as the documentation, license etc. https://themesfores.com/product/newspape-news-woocommerce-wordpress-theme/ #NewspaperThemes #WooCommerceTheme #WordpressTheme

It can be said to be a platform with a collection of basic and ready-to-use programming tools, modules and libraries that are used to create software products. These frameworks provide developers with essential functionality and tools, and lay out the rules for building the architecture of applications, websites, services, APIs, and other solutions. Thus, developers can create their project layout instantly and can stretch it further as per specified conditions and requirements.
Web application development frameworks are customizable, which means you can use ready-made components and templates and tailor them to your own unique requirements. You can further implement your code on the platform. A framework can also incorporate code libraries, scripting languages, utilities, and other software to promote the growth and integration of different components of a large software project.
Creating and developing a website or website will be much more difficult if you don’t use a framework . In this article, we will discuss some of the best frameworks used by web developers to develop websites in 2023. Come on, see the following reviews below.

Web Application Penetration Testing Checklist
Web-application penetration testing, or web pen testing, is a way for a business to test its own software by mimicking cyber attacks, find and fix vulnerabilities before the software is made public. As such, it involves more than simply shaking the doors and rattling the digital windows of your company's online applications. It uses a methodological approach employing known, commonly used threat attacks and tools to test web apps for potential vulnerabilities. In the process, it can also uncover programming mistakes and faults, assess the overall vulnerability of the application, which include buffer overflow, input validation, code Execution, Bypass Authentication, SQL-Injection, CSRF, XSS etc.
Penetration Types and Testing Stages
Penetration testing can be performed at various points during application development and by various parties including developers, hosts and clients. There are two essential types of web pen testing:
l Internal: Tests are done on the enterprise's network while the app is still relatively secure and can reveal LAN vulnerabilities and susceptibility to an attack by an employee.
l External: Testing is done outside via the Internet, more closely approximating how customers — and hackers — would encounter the app once it is live.
The earlier in the software development stage that web pen testing begins, the more efficient and cost effective it will be. Fixing problems as an application is being built, rather than after it's completed and online, will save time, money and potential damage to a company's reputation.
The web pen testing process typically includes five stages:
1. Information Gathering and Planning: This comprises forming goals for testing, such as what systems will be under scrutiny, and gathering further information on the systems that will be hosting the web app.
2. Research and Scanning: Before mimicking an actual attack, a lot can be learned by scanning the application's static code. This can reveal many vulnerabilities. In addition to that, a dynamic scan of the application in actual use online will reveal additional weaknesses, if it has any.
3. Access and Exploitation: Using a standard array of hacking attacks ranging from SQL injection to password cracking, this part of the test will try to exploit any vulnerabilities and use them to determine if information can be stolen from or unauthorized access can be gained to other systems.
4. Reporting and Recommendations: At this stage a thorough analysis is done to reveal the type and severity of the vulnerabilities, the kind of data that might have been exposed and whether there is a compromise in authentication and authorization.
5. Remediation and Further Testing: Before the application is launched, patches and fixes will need to be made to eliminate the detected vulnerabilities. And additional pen tests should be performed to confirm that all loopholes are closed.
Information Gathering
1. Retrieve and Analyze the robot.txt files by using a tool called GNU Wget.
2. Examine the version of the software. DB Details, the error technical component, bugs by the error codes by requesting invalid pages.
3. Implement techniques such as DNS inverse queries, DNS zone Transfers, web-based DNS Searches.
4. Perform Directory style Searching and vulnerability scanning, Probe for URLs, using tools such as NMAP and Nessus.
5. Identify the Entry point of the application using Burp Proxy, OWSAP ZAP, TemperIE, WebscarabTemper Data.
6. By using traditional Fingerprint Tool such as Nmap, Amap, perform TCP/ICMP and service Fingerprinting.
7.By Requesting Common File Extension such as.ASP,EXE, .HTML, .PHP ,Test for recognized file types/Extensions/Directories.
8. Examine the Sources code From the Accessing Pages of the Application front end.
9. Many times social media platform also helps in gathering information. Github links, DomainName search can also give more information on the target. OSINT tool is such a tool which provides lot of information on target.
Authentication Testing
1. Check if it is possible to “reuse” the session after Logout. Verify if the user session idle time.
2. Verify if any sensitive information Remain Stored in browser cache/storage.
3. Check and try to Reset the password, by social engineering crack secretive questions and guessing.
4.Verify if the “Remember my password” Mechanism is implemented by checking the HTML code of the log-in page.
5. Check if the hardware devices directly communicate and independently with authentication infrastructure using an additional communication channel.
6. Test CAPTCHA for authentication vulnerabilities.
7. Verify if any weak security questions/Answer are presented.
8. A successful SQL injection could lead to the loss of customer trust and attackers can steal PID such as phone numbers, addresses, and credit card details. Placing a web application firewall can filter out the malicious SQL queries in the traffic.
Authorization Testing
1. Test the Role and Privilege Manipulation to Access the Resources.
2.Test For Path Traversal by Performing input Vector Enumeration and analyze the input validation functions presented in the web application.
3.Test for cookie and parameter Tempering using web spider tools.
4. Test for HTTP Request Tempering and check whether to gain illegal access to reserved resources.
Configuration Management Testing
1. Check file directory , File Enumeration review server and application Documentation. check the application admin interfaces.
2. Analyze the Web server banner and Performing network scanning.
3. Verify the presence of old Documentation and Backup and referenced files such as source codes, passwords, installation paths.
4.Verify the ports associated with the SSL/TLS services using NMAP and NESSUS.
5.Review OPTIONS HTTP method using Netcat and Telnet.
6. Test for HTTP methods and XST for credentials of legitimate users.
7. Perform application configuration management test to review the information of the source code, log files and default Error Codes.
Session Management Testing
1. Check the URL’s in the Restricted area to Test for CSRF (Cross Site Request Forgery).
2.Test for Exposed Session variables by inspecting Encryption and reuse of session token, Proxies and caching.
3. Collect a sufficient number of cookie samples and analyze the cookie sample algorithm and forge a valid Cookie in order to perform an Attack.
4. Test the cookie attribute using intercept proxies such as Burp Proxy, OWASP ZAP, or traffic intercept proxies such as Temper Data.
5. Test the session Fixation, to avoid seal user session.(session Hijacking )
Data Validation Testing
1. Performing Sources code Analyze for javascript Coding Errors.
2. Perform Union Query SQL injection testing, standard SQL injection Testing, blind SQL query Testing, using tools such as sqlninja, sqldumper, sql power injector .etc.
3. Analyze the HTML Code, Test for stored XSS, leverage stored XSS, using tools such as XSS proxy, Backframe, Burp Proxy, OWASP, ZAP, XSS Assistant.
4. Perform LDAP injection testing for sensitive information about users and hosts.
5. Perform IMAP/SMTP injection Testing for Access the Backend Mail server.
6.Perform XPATH Injection Testing for Accessing the confidential information
7. Perform XML injection testing to know information about XML Structure.
8. Perform Code injection testing to identify input validation Error.
9. Perform Buffer Overflow testing for Stack and heap memory information and application control flow.
10. Test for HTTP Splitting and smuggling for cookies and HTTP redirect information.
Denial of Service Testing
1. Send Large number of Requests that perform database operations and observe any Slowdown and Error Messages. A continuous ping command also will serve the purpose. A script to open browsers in loop for indefinite no will also help in mimicking DDOS attack scenario.
2.Perform manual source code analysis and submit a range of input varying lengths to the applications
3.Test for SQL wildcard attacks for application information testing. Enterprise Networks should choose the best DDoS Attack prevention services to ensure the DDoS attack protection and prevent their network
4. Test for User specifies object allocation whether a maximum number of object that application can handle.
5. Enter Extreme Large number of the input field used by the application as a Loop counter. Protect website from future attacks Also Check your Companies DDOS Attack Downtime Cost.
6. Use a script to automatically submit an extremely long value for the server can be logged the request.
Conclusion:
Web applications present a unique and potentially vulnerable target for cyber criminals. The goal of most web apps is to make services, products accessible for customers and employees. But it's definitely critical that web applications must not make it easier for criminals to break into systems. So, making proper plan on information gathered, execute it on multiple iterations will reduce the vulnerabilities and risk to a greater extent.

Learn Google Analytics
Explore Google Analytics: Google analytics is the tool provided by google to Analyze your website as well as user/customer behavior in depth. This will help you in working with SEO ranking your website on the first page of the Search Engine Result Page (SERP). I'll guide you the step by step procedure to start with Google Analytics .
So, let's start with creating an account 1) Sign up for a Google Account (Skip if you already have one) If you don’t have a Google Account you need to get one now to have access to all the free Google tools that are out there. 2) Get your unique tracking code. You will the get the unique tracking code you have to upload that link into head part of your website that will track your website report. a. If it’s your first time logging into Google Analytics read below. If not, skip to Step 2b If it’s your first time using Google Analytics then before you get your nifty tracking script you will need to answer a couple of questions and accept Google’s terms of service. The first page will ask for your Website URL as seen below: Enter in your Website’s URL in the “www.yourdomain.com” format (*NOTE* If you have a secure site, https, make sure to update it accordingly). For Account Name enter in whatever you want to call your website or project. And finally select the correct Time Zone that you are in. When you’re done, click continue. You will be then be asked to enter in your contact information and accept Google Analytics’s user agreement. After you agree to Google’s terms of service you finally see your nifty tracking code for the specific website URL you previously entered. b. If it’s your NOT your first time logging into Google Analytics. If it’s not your first time logging into Google Analytics simply click on the “Add Website Profile” link at the bottom left of your overview report. On the next page, keep the selection on “Add a Profile for a new domain) and enter in the domain you want to start tracking (*NOTE* If you have a secure site, https, make sure to update it accordingly). and choose your time zone then click finish. Google Analytics will then create a custom tracking code snippet for your site. Copy your code snippet and click finish. Read step 3 on how to install it on your website. 3) Installing Your Tracking Code Snippet Now that you have your code snippet we will need to install it on your webpage. In step 2) I instructed you to copy over the code snippet but if you forgot or just didn’t feel like copying it, follow these steps to get your tracking code. a) Go to the Overview page and click on “edit” in the last column of your website profile report: b) Click on the check status link in the top right corner: c) Get your code snippet: Now that you have your code snippet (again), let’s install it! All you need to do now is place your code snippet in every single one of your pages in your website. The most common mistake is to place the tracking in only your main index.html/php page.
Home Page: “http://www.xyz.com/index.html”
Our Services Page: “http://www.xyz.com/service.html”
About Us Page: “http://www.xyz.com/about.html”
Contact Us Page: “http://www.xyz.com/contact.html”
Thank You Page: “http://www.xyz.com/thankscont.html”
So we need to install our tracking script. Open your favorite html editor or just open your html/php with notepad and add your tracking script right BEFORE the </body> tag. The </body> tag is usually at the end of your html code. Do a simple search for “</body>” it in your html editor or notepad to find it. Then simply place your code before the </body> tag as shown below: Now repeat this process for all of your webpages. In our instance I placed the code in index.html, service.html, about.html, contact.html, and thankscont.html. After you are done Google Analytics needs some time to go crawl through your webpage to confirm that the scripts are installed. All you need to do now is wait about 12-24 hours for Google Analytics to Update. Here is what your site’s status will look like when your site isn’t verified: And here is what your site’s status will look like once it’s been crawled through and confirmed to be installed correctly: Once your site is confirmed by Google Analytics your site is now being properly tracked by Google Analytics. If after 48 hours your site still has not been confirmed. Please read through Step 3 again and make sure that your code is correctly placed. 4) Adding Goals to Track Conversion. Now that you have the basic tracking installed in your page you now need to set up Google Analytics so you can start tracking conversions. With goals you can figure out how many people did a specific action. IE. Bought an item, signed up for a newsletter, read a specific page, etc. For now (as of 03.20.08) Google has a max of 4 goals assigned to each website profile. You can have more than 4 but that is outside of the scope of this beginner guide. To properly use goals you will need a link to your “goal” page. A “goal” page can be any page where you want your user to go to. It can be a thank you page after a user signs up for your newsletter or it can be the receipt page after someone orders a product from your site. To get started with setting up a goal, first go into your Analytics home page and click on “edit”. In the profile settings page two boxes down you should see the “Conversion Goals and Funnel” box. Click edit on an empty Goal. If you are new, just click edit on the G1 row: You should now see the Goal Settings Page. Let’s go over the “Enter Goal Information” section first: Active Goal: This activates/deactives your goals. So to start turn this goal on by choosing the “On” button. Match Type: There are 3 types of match types.
Head Match: Use this type if your webpage uses dynamic URLs. For example, let’s say your goal page is an order receipt page and the links look something like this: “www.example.com/checkout.cgi?page=1&id=9982251615” where the &id=XXXXX changes dyamically.
Exact Match: Use this type if your thank you page is a static page such as: “www.domain.com/1/thanks.html”.
Regular Expression Match: This option uses regular expressions to match your URLs. For many eCommerce website the “thank you” or “receipt” page is a dynamic URL with different pages with OrderID or CustomerID variables and you will need to use this match to track the URL instead of a static domain page. Using regular expressions with wildcards are out of the scope for this beginner tutorial. We will write a post specifically tackling the Regular Expresion Match soon.
So choose the correct match depending on your “goal page” Goal URL: Enter the directory and file of your goal page. DO NOT input your entire http:// link. Simply just write the directory and file name from your root perspective. IE. “http://www.mysite.com/thankyou.html” enter “/thankyou.html” or “http://www.mysite.com/newpage/thankyou.html” enter “/newpage/thankyou.html”. Goal Name: This is for your use. Name the goal to whatever you want. Case Sensitive: Check this if URLs entered above must exactly match the capitalization of visited URLs. Goal Value: Input what each conversion is worth. Let’s say each newsletter email is worth $0.70 then input that into the goal value. If there is no static monetary value then you can just leave it as zero. So here is how we filled this out in our example: The next section is the “Define Funnel”. A funnel is a series of pages that leads up to the goal. If you have a eCommerce site it may consist of 3-5 steps “checkout –> information input –> CC Page –> Review –> Submit” etc. You can define these pages in the funnel section to know exactly how your traffic is reaching your goal page and in which steps they are leaving. Seeing the funnel is extremely helpful is realizing how your users traverse through your pages to do the action item. Make sure to always use this even though it may be only a 1 step process as the funnel system allows you to easily see your true conversions. In our example, we want to know how many people sign up from our contact.html page. So our Funnel is: contact.html –[If user signs up]–> thankscont.html. So we define the funnel like this: Like the goal URL in the “Enter Goal Information” section make sure not to include the entire link, just the directory and file. Make sure to check the “required steps” if you want to track your real conversions. When this is checked goals are ONLY counted when the user goals to our contact.html first. This is important as I’m sure many of our users will go directly to our thank you page in this step by step guide and we don’t want to count those as conversions. Once that’s done, simply click the “Save Changes” button. Congratulations! You’re now correctly tracking your conversions!
5) Understanding Google Analytics Report.
Now that your site is correctly being tracked, it’s time to see all the cool reports that Google Analytics can show you! (Pretty, isn’t it?) Everything is pretty self explanatory and intuitive so I won’t go through every single reporting link. The one item that I do want to talk about is the funnel report in the Goals section as it is the most important part in your conversion tracking. First click on the goals tab then the Funnel Visualization link: Once there you will see this: The above example is a pro bono optimization we’re doing for a charity. We are specifically optimizing their membership page. The funnel is simply, “Membership Page” –> “Membership Buy Thank You Page” On this day you’ll see that they had 625 visitors go to the membership page and 47 people who bought a membership to this charity organization for a conversion rate of 7.52% which is our true conversion rate. This is the most important page to understand what is going on with your traffic and find out how you can best monetize it as well as find “conversion leaks” if you have multiple pages in your funnel. Now what if we didn’t use the optional funnel and wanted to know our conversions? This is what we would have seen from this client: We would see a .18% conversion for these days… Why? Because Google Analytics determines the conversion rate as [Goal Visits / Total Visits to the Website]. This charity organization gets TONS of traffic from all over the place to different pages on their site. Most people don’t even view the membership page. So the conversion rate above is incorrect in letting you know how your specific page is converting and you should not rely on this. The only way this report would be correct is if you have just a simple landing page and buy page.

Essential Skills Required for Back-End Development
When we talk about software development or application development, the most integral domains are front-end development, back-end development, and database management. Any software product undergoes client-side and server-side development simultaneously.
The client-side refers to the front-end development, and the server-side is the back-end development. We can consider the back-end development as the backbone of the software. And front-end development is the process of creating the software application's user interface.
In this article, we will learn the skills required for back-end development. As the backbone of the software development process, outsourcing companies hire backend developers with the expertise and skills that are required.
In that case, what does a back-end developer do?
A backend developer is in charge of writing a website's backend code and determining how it will communicate when a user initiates a specific action. In addition, they look after the website's architecture, coding, scripting, and database accessibility. They also have the duty of testing and debugging the backend programs.
Now let's talk about the crucial abilities for back-end development.
Back-end programming language:
The most important thing for any sort of development is the programming language. Choosing the appropriate programming language helps you achieve the desired output. The top three back-end programming languages are PHP, Python, and Java.
Understanding of front-end technology:
After having a grasp on the back-end languages, back-end developers must have an understanding of the front-end technologies. Well, back-end developers don’t need to be masters in front-end technologies; however, it's better to have some basic knowledge. The top three basic front-end technologies are HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Acquaintance with back-end frameworks:
After determining which language you need to improve, you should also review the framework. A framework supports the language in the program or application you're working on. As a back-end developer, you might think about working on a few specific frameworks.
NodeJS is an open-source and free platform that was created to support application backend coding. It utilizes JavaScript and is one of the most well-known and established frameworks to date. NodeJs is cross-platform and works on Windows, Linux, macOS, and other operating systems.
ExpressJS: Another framework based on NodeJs is ExpressJs. It is very popular among backend developers because of its speed and deliverability. One of the best options for creating mobile and web applications is ExpressJs, which is used to create APIs.
Django is a free, open-source platform that is compatible with Python and has gained a lot of popularity among programmers. The best thing about Django is how little code and power it requires to create quick apps.
Database Management:
To create a relational mapping, a full-stack developer builds the scripts to retrieve data from databases. Popular database management systems for development include Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL, and PostgreSQL.
Version Control System:
Version control, often known as "source control," is the procedure for keeping track of and controlling changes to software code. Version control systems are software tools that help software development teams keep track of changes to source code over time.
API Integration Development:
The backend developers are also well-versed in API integration development. These APIs are used by backend developers to connect various applications and improve the user experience. Developers frequently use JSON, SOAP, REST, GSON, and other popular APIs.
Server handling:
Backend developers must be skilled at managing the server because they are in charge of carrying out all the tasks that are done in the background. A server is a type of cloud system that offers other systems connected to network services like file storage, databases, and security, as well as all the useful information. Docker, Kubernetes, and other top server management tools are just a few examples.
Soft skills:
Soft skills are the talents that each developer has, including their capacity for creativity, analytical thought, strategic planning, problem-solving, and time management.
The above-listed skills are mandatory for a well-versed backend developer. Whenever the project owner looks to hire backend developers, he or she must check the essential skills before finalizing them. If you want to hire backend developers for your next project, you can hire them from an outsourcing company like Citrusbug Technolabs.

Create a simple E-shop application using PHP and MySQL*. You can use this to create a bookshop or music shop, or clothing store. Customers should have access to a "user" interface that allows them to choose and buy items. Payments are not required. A password-protected interface for the "owner" should be available to enable the E-shop operator to view/edit stock or pending orders. This exercise is intentionally "hard" due to the deadline. I don't expect everyone to finish it perfectly. This will be considered in the marking. MARKING SCHEMA: [A 5%] Ability write working HTML code code that creates successful markup in a browser window ** [B 5%] Possibility to upload an HTML web page on a server so that it can be seen on the World Wide Web. *** [C 10%] The ability to communicate HTML forms with a PHP script. ** [D 10%] The ability to make a PHP script communicate with a MySQL table. ** [E 40%] Functionality: The extent to which software's operation conforms to - or exceeds - the original specification. [F 10%] User friendliness. The extent to which the browser displays information that is clear and easy to understand. [G 10%] Presentation. This could include the appropriate use of images and color as well as style-sheets, style-sheets, and dynamic HTML functions. [H 10%] Readability and clarity of code and related documentation (e.g. Use of comments, proper indentation, etc. Notes *You can use other web-based technologies, such as JSP, Pearl. Please use ASP, JSP or Pearl to access other web-based technologies. Please do not use any high-level software programs that require programming skills (e.g. These editors are not necessary for this module. ** The marks in categories A through D are given in a "binary", i.e., they can be divided into two equal parts. The student gets either the full weighting mark or zero. Simply by having a basic understanding of HTML, PHP, and MySQL, 30% can be achieved. The rest of the categories are marked in "continuous" (i.e. Any number between zero and the weighting amount can be given. *** In case of server failure or other technical difficulties, Category B will be deleted and the weightings for the other categories adjusted accordingly. SOLUTION My electronic shop application is to sell books and other items sold by the Wandle Industrial Museum. This is an extension of an existing static website. This pre-existing work is the basis for my application's data and layout. THE MAIN INTERFRACE The initial screen without the original frames that were used on the Museum website. The majority of the content within the top and bottom frames are not functional. This is done to demonstrate the dynamic HTML which provided secondary navigation structures. This screen shows the main body and "shopping basket” functions. This page gives you access to: 1) Complete list of all the online "catalogues" 2) A subset of catalogues arranged by product category 3) A subset based on user-defined search terms. 4) Additional information about the item 5) The ability to add items to a session that is based on a "shopping basket". 6) The ability to review books by registered users When a user logs in for the first time, they are shown the message "Welcome." Are you already a customer? Sign in by clicking here. Otherwise, they will see their user name. A button is located to the right called "My account", which allows them to edit their information. This information is saved in a client-side cookie and is kept for 30 minutes. ABOUT SUMMARY Summary of Items displays the item code, title, and price of each item. It also includes a description and stock level. Two additional options are also included in the display. 1 item that is out of stock is highlighted in red text. 2 items not sold in the online shop are marked "grayed out" in these cases, the "buy" button for each item is removed.
THE BASKET The Shopping Basket is initially empty until an item is added to it. After that, clicking on the "view basket" button will display a default screen. The default quantity of an item added is 1. You can increase this quantity by either adding another item to your basket or clicking the increment button shown on the basket display screen. After creating a basket and entering the system, the following options will be available: 1) Clear cart 2) Continue shopping; 3) Checkout; The item is removed from your basket if it has been de-incremented to zero. The basket is built on PHP sessions. Unlike the users identity which is reined after 30 minutes, it will not persist once the instance is closed. If the user is not logged in to the application, they will be asked for their password. Registering for an account is required before the user can purchase anything. ADDING ITEMS to THE SHOPPING BASIC You can add items to your shopping basket from either a summary listing or the item description page. A summary page contains basic information about the item in a tabular format without images. Click on the "buy" button to the left of the item line. You can also do this from the item detail page. This is done by clicking on the items code displayed to the left of the summary display. Every item detail page includes a "buy” button, as well as other shopping basket tools. These buttons are located on the summary page. Scroll down to see them. There are two types of items in the database: "books", which contain information specific to reading materials, as well as "goods", which only contain basic information such as item code, title, price, and item code. Images that are not readily available will be replaced until the administrator requests it. ABOUT YOU If the user is not logged in to the application, they will be asked for their password. If the user does have an account, he/she can log in and continue the transaction. Registering for an account is required before the user can purchase anything. This is the result of an inadvertent attempt to create a new account. Once all anomalies are resolved, the user receives a text description. Once the user has registered, he/she will be asked to print the form. After logging in, you can purchase without authentication. The application was hard-coded with one administrative account. The username is "system" while the password is “god". Note that there is no way to modify this currently. Administration displays allow users to: 1) define new item types; 2) Edit and delete users 3) Add, Edit and Delete categories This screen allows you to edit an existing data item within a particular category, identified by its product code, or create a new product-date item. As shown in the following image, the application requires a set of validation criteria. The items are listed alphabetically, from left to right. This is the result of an unsuccessful data entry operation. The crosses denote invalid or missing entries, and the tick denotes that the field is valid. You can have a blank entry. In certain cases, the question mark can be used to double-check that you intend to leave blank. This screen displays that the administrator has selected to delete the user's account from the database. The edit and delete functions both use the same display, except that the delete function doesn't show the delete warning. Interface The image is the initial screen (welcome), and does not include frames that are used on the Museum website. This screen shows the main body and "shopping basket" functions. The button is at the top. This page gives you access to: 1) Complete list of all the online "catalogues" 2) A subset of catalogues arranged by product category 3) The ability to order the catalogue by product code, price, or title in an acceding ordering 4) A subset based on user-defined search terms.
5) Additional information about the item 6) The ability to add items to a session that is based on a "shopping basket". When a user logs in for the first time, they are shown the message "Welcome." Are you already a customer? Click here to log in. Otherwise, they will see their user name along with a button called "My account", which allows them to modify their information. This information is saved in a client-side cookie and is kept for 30 minutes. Administration displays allow users to: 1) Define new types of items; 2) Edit and delete users 3) Add, Edit and Delete categories 4) Edit, move, and delete products 5) Add help information to edit. 6) Make and restore tables dumps; DATABASE DICTIONARY A data dictionary is a list of common codes and conventions. What is plugin in WordPress
A WordPress Plugin is a program or a set of one or more functions written in the PHP scripting language, that adds a specific set of features or services to the WordPress weblog, which can be seamlessly integrated with the weblog using access points and methods provided by the WordPress Plugin Application Program Interface (API).
A plugin can extend functionality and add new features to your website. For example You can use it to display content from your website on other websites, or you can install an e-commerce plugin so that people can buy products through your site.
What Are Plugins?
In simple terms, plugins are bits of code that can be added to a website to extend its functionality and features. If you’re familiar with how extensions work on Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome, then the concept should sound familiar.
The main advantage of having plugins is that they allow developers to modify or extend a site’s existing features without needing access to the WordPress core files. This allows for easy swapping out of different components if your needs change over time without having to re-write all the code for your website each time something new comes along (which would be expensive).
How can I get plugins?
You can get plugins from the WordPress Plugin Directory. Plugins are free and available for download by users of any version of WordPress. They’re also listed in the Plugin Directory, so they’re easy to find. However, not all plugins you’ll want will be published in the directory (sometimes even popular ones are exclusive to paid subscribers). If you need a plugin that isn’t available there, some developers sell their products on sites like CodeCanyon or Envato Market. You could also find someone who creates their own custom plugins for their clients and then publishes those on GitHub—or simply ask around your developer community if anyone has worked on something similar before (and maybe they can build it for you).
How do I install them? Go to the WordPress admin panel. Click on Plugins > Add New. Search for your plugin and click Install Now. Activate the plugin after it’s installed. Where are my plugins? To find your plugins, navigate to the Plugins menu in your WordPress admin area (you can find this through the Dashboard > Plugins menu).
You should see a list of all installed WordPress plugins. If you don’t, then you may have missed installing one or more of them. You might want to review this section again and make sure that you have installed all WordPress plugins required for your website before proceeding with any further actions.
What about plugin updates?
If you’re using a plugin that’s not maintained by the developer, then you need to update it manually. To do this, go to your WordPress dashboard and find the Plugins section. Look for the “Update” button next to any plugins that are outdated and click on it to update them. If an update is available for one of your active plugins, then you’ll see a red circle with an exclamation point in it next to its name. If there are updates available for all of your active plugins (not just those with updates), then click on “Check for Upgrades” instead of “Update All” or “Update”. This will open a page showing which versions of each plugin have been updated recently along with links to download them from WordPress’ official repository if necessary.
