"the reason adrien is just instantly good at everything he tries is because he is programmed to be that way as a senti" aside from the fact that i don't think that's how it works (and also while he was decent at everything he tried with marinette he wasn't instantly good at all of them, and what marinette actually said to him was that he could improve in anything with practice but it was a great first attempt) did we all collectively forget about how adrien actually canonically isn't the best singer?

That Modern(ish) Tauverse AU where we have Nightmare and his four adoptive sons now has this lil collection of Bad Reference Doodles lol!

I have been informed that Reddit has found my story and are being super Reddit about it. Quick looksee of the comments revealed a bunch of people saying it was fake because [insert misunderstanding of how bacteriophages work]. Say its bullshit, whatever, but the being confidently absolutely wrong part is whats getting to me

I've decided to provide the tumblr sphere with more Physics Major (TM) content for no reason other than I don't want to do my mathematical physics assignment so here are my thoughts as a Third Year (TM) in this program:

1) everything is linear algebra

2) no really, everything is linear algebra

3) amusement parks are a great source for problems in lagrangian mechanics

4) lasers are cool

5) everything is also a taylor series

6) A rectangular block falling over is surprisingly complicated

7) everything is a differential equation

8) differential equations are linear algebra

9) there is not a single physics person that is okay

10) astronomy killed math and is currently dancing on its corpse

#didnt help that 2/4 yrs was covid telezoom but man.. MANNN #forgetting how impossible it is to pursue rhe degree plan u actually want (advising hell) i feel like . theres just #so many diff things i want to learn now Knowing that im more solidified in my interests and who i am and what i would be interested in doing #and like.😭RGAAAAAQH TEARING MYHAIR OUTTT every other week i have a night where im sititng there like damn i couldve been sm1 completely dif #dgmw i still rly enjoy some of the upper div classes i Did take but what if i took x and liked it more or minored in y and it led me to z #bc i do feel rly set in where i am rn which . i DO ! like it but im never gna be in that environment where u have the flexibility to explore #ykwim . i wish i had taken physics and calc srsly . i always thought i hated that shit but i like it. i like it quite a lot actually😟#or more geology .. urrghh.. sprinkle in sme extra art history . no bc thats what actu pissed me off ab school #i rmbr wanting to dual major and they straight up told me no i cant . but then i was like maybe an arts major bio minor when i wanted to do #science illustration but sry we dont offer bio minor . ok bio major arh or studio art minor . no sry not enough open spots we rly only #reserve it for when we have extra openings post admission❤️#and then even late into sophomore year u would still be last in registration so all the cool classes would be closed #and then bc of covid half that shit was cancelled bc they couldnt transfer labs online (rip comparative vertebrate anatomy)#and then by senior yr an additional collection of classes were unavailable bc u dont have the prereqs bc the prereqs were cancelled during #covid and u dont have enough semesters left to actually take it . like it was gen such an awful experience so ik why i couldnt ever do what #i wanted but .😭 AND LIKE the classes i DID enjoy like genomics or molecular genetics were closed by registration and i had to email and beg #for access . thts crazy .literally crazy .#anyways . i think i want 2 start reading textbooks bc i think thats the closest ill get LMAOO #i remember seeing my coworker read a textbook for fun one time and idk why i just didnt understand why bc it seemed so dry but i Get it now #like yeah .. u knew what was up ..#sad too that like . i could theoretically audit a course but i Work..during the day .. so sad . so sad #guys wht if i just said yes to grad school (<the devil talking.dont agree)

entomology is a huuuuge interest of mine and actually what im going to uni for!!! so ive worked in two different entomology labs (both being more focused on agricultural entomology) and ive met a handful of people who work in that field :D

it influences a little bit of how i see queenie HAHA so far anyone ive met who works in entomology is very strange in different ways, and i dont see her as having been an entomologist prior to entering the circus (maybe in the past at most? but some way or another she ended up working at c&a...) BUT i like to incorporate that into how i see her!!! its very fun :D

im not an entomologist myself by any means but i have a little bit of experience with that field should that insight be needed for queenie purposes!!!!

#ask #just last night i was talking to friends about the sheer horror that is sweepnetting miles of soybean fields for stink bugs #while horseflies are pestering u and also the soybeans r up to ur chest LOL #and briefly mentioned on my main that i had to use a microscope to count literal thousands of spider mites while i had a full on migraine #im going back to that lab soon :) i was very sad to leave it last fall when i left to live oncampus #the second lab had less going on all the time but thats also cus i was helping out grad students w the like repetitive stuff #so they could go work on the actually indepth parts #so it was mostly me looking at hundreds of flies to figure out if they were one of two extremely closely related species #only really differentiated by a slight size difference and that one had bigger femurs #or sifting thru stuff to collect beetles for hours and hours. or cleaning stuff #all this is a long winded way of saying YES i do!!!!#a lot of entomology is counting HAHA i had to count things a lot #my best friend clicker counters....#my supervisor once told me the way to identify a good clicker counter is if you could physically harm someone if u hit them with it #caps

i am once again realizing just how useless my degree is. not only are there basically no jobs where JUST a bachelors in biology is enough education i also didnt get good enough grades while doing my degree to get into any programs for the further eduction id need for jobs. isnt that wonderful

#my plan B has vaguely been some kind of lab work for a while #but reading the program requirements its like. (Phase one translated to simpler terms): Fingers in hand are becoming increasingly stiff. Fingernails have fallen off of fingers. Arms and fingers are becoming dense. Skin has become thicker and feels like bird skin. Small patches of bird feather “fluff” have sprouted in the following stated regions of the arms.

(Phase two translated to simpler terms): tendons in arms and wrist have become very hard and strained, almost immobile. Fingers even more stiff. Wrists have permanently rotated (Y axis) downward to a certain degree and have turned (X axis) to the side permanently. Fingers are elongating. Feathers sprouting on neck and neck.

(Phase three translated to simpler terms): fingers/hands bend diagonally. Fingers take on the mold of bat wings except more stiff. Talons forming at the toes and heal of foot. Teeth becoming sharper and raising above the gums, made of keratin (talon/fingernail/etc…) material. Eye has a third eyelid that sweeps across the eye, but it’s split into two halves (when he blinks or “third eye blinks” the lid will close and open like elevator doors (just an example.))

(Phase four translated to simpler terms): tendons within the arms and wrist are very very tense. Shoulder and arm still mobile though however arm is only able to move in and out. Fingers are rotating in towards the arm and only move in/towards the arm (resting pretty close to the arm and flexing inward to the arm very very close). Skin on feet and a little bit of the legs have become corse like bird feet. More bird feathers too. Small spines on forearm are not bone but keratin. “Melted” skin on fingers is not dead and still has nerves. He is showing bird like behaviors. He also screams! Yay.
