Second Chances - Han Jisung
summary: when your husband fails to show up for your family, you bring up divorce — only then does he wake up
pairing: han jisung x fem!reader
genre: angst, hurt/comfort, married with kids
word count: 1318 words
a/n: remember the twins in jisung's part of this fic? here's a little years later scenario where they have a younger brother now
-
The Kids: Twin Girls (Jisoo, Minsoo - 7 years old) and Son (Jihoon - 5 years old)
~°~
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were exhausted.
Physically, emotionally, mentally—every part of you was stretched thin, fraying at the edges. The weight of everything threatened to crush you, and tonight, it finally broke you.
One of your twin daughters, Minsoo, had her first-ever ballet recital at school today. The one she had spent months practicing for. The one where she had asked, with those wide, hopeful eyes, “Will Appa come this time?”
You had smiled, smoothed down her tutu, kissed her forehead, and whispered, “Of course, baby. He promised.”
But promises didn’t mean much anymore. Not when they came from Han Jisung.
Because when the curtains lifted, and Minsoo stood on stage, her little eyes scanning the audience with anticipation, her smile slowly faltered. Her twirls lost confidence. And when she finally spotted you, sitting alone, her lips wobbled.
And your heart shattered.
Just like it had last month when Jisung missed Jisoo’s science fair. And the time before that, when he forgot about Jihoon’s first-award ceremony at school, where your youngest won an award for being 'most creative' in his class.
How many times were you supposed to make excuses for him? How many times were you supposed to be both parents while he drowned himself in work, in schedules, in music, in everything but the family he promised to cherish?
Not anymore. You reached your breaking point.
Jisung felt it the moment he stepped into the house.
Something was wrong.
The lights were dim, the air heavy. His bag slipped from his shoulder, and he rubbed a hand down his face, exhausted from a long day in the studio.
“Baby, I’m home,” he called out, toeing off his shoes. He glanced at the clock. 12:37 AM.
Late. Again.
The guilt gnawed at his chest, but he pushed it down. He had deadlines, commitments—he was doing all of this for you and the kids, wasn’t he?
Still, when you stepped out of the kitchen, arms crossed, eyes void of warmth, his stomach twisted.
“We need to talk.”
He sighed. “Babe, can it wait? It’s been a long—”
“No.” Your voice was firm. “It can’t.”
Something in your tone made him look up. Really look. And for the first time in a long time, he saw something that terrified him.
You weren’t just mad. You were done.
“Baby—” he started
“Let's go to our bedroom,” you cut him off, “the kids are sleeping, i dont want to wake them up.”
He followed you quietly, and as soon as he shut the bedroom door behind him, you said it.
“I want a divorce.”
The words left your lips like venom. You had imagined saying them before, but you never thought you’d actually do it.
Jisung blinked. Like he didn’t hear you. Like his brain refused to process the words.
“W-What?”
You swallowed the lump in your throat. “I want a divorce, Jisung.”
His bag hit the floor. His breath hitched. “You don’t mean that.”
“I do.”
“No, you don’t.” He shook his head, laughing weakly, like this was some cruel joke. “You’re just mad. We fight, we argue, but we always—”
“I’m tired, Jisung.” Your voice cracked. “I’m tired of being alone. I’m tired of raising our kids alone. I’m tired of watching them get disappointed over and over again.”
His jaw tightened. “I provide for them—”
“I don’t care about money!” You snapped, voice breaking. “I care about our kids growing up with a father who actually shows up! You keep missing everything, Jisung! Do you even know how much it hurts them? How much does it hurt me?”
Jisung’s breath came out uneven. “I—”
You let out a shaky laugh, eyes stinging. “You know what’s funny? If we get divorced, maybe then they’ll actually get to see you. Because at least then, you’ll be forced to make time.”
Jisung’s lips parted, but no words came out. He looked at you like you had just stabbed him.
Then, suddenly—
Thump.
He dropped to his knees. He felt the world tilted. His ears rang.
Jisung’s knees hit the floor before he even realized what was happening. His hands shot out, grasping at your legs, your hands, anything he could hold on to.
“Please,” his voice was barely a whisper. “Please, don’t do this.”
You flinched, stepping back slightly, but he held onto your legs tightly.
“I know I messed up,” he choked out. “I know I’ve been the worst husband, the worst dad, but please—please don’t leave me.” His fingers curled around your waist, his grip desperate. “I’ll fix this. I’ll be better. Just… don’t give up on me.”
Your face crumpled, and you teared up and gently you pulled away from him.
“Jisung… it’s not that simple.”
“But it is,” he pleaded, voice trembling. “It is to me. I’ll do anything. I’ll quit music—”
“No,” you cut him off sharply. “You love music, Jisung. I would never take that from you.” Your voice wavered. “I just need you to love us just as much.”
He let out a sob, his chest shaking. “I do.” His voice cracked. “I do, I do, I do. I love you. I love our kids. You’re my whole world, please don’t leave.”
Jisung, the man who once stood on sold-out stages with a mic in hand, now knelt before you, crying.
And it broke him.
The memories hit him all at once.
The way Jisoo had tugged at his sleeve last week, asking if he could just stay home for one day.
The way Jihoon had slowly stopped telling him about his day, because he knew Appa was busy.
The way Minsoo had once whispered to him, “Appa, do you love me?” Even though he reassured her, he knew this question shouldn't even have crossed her little mind in the first place.
His heart clenched so painfully he thought he might die from it.
You exhaled shakily. “Jisung, I don’t know if I can do this anymore.”
His breath hitched. He looked broken.
His face was crumpled, his hands shaking, his entire body trembling as he knelt before you. And you hated it.
You hated that even after all this, after all the pain and loneliness, you still loved him.
And maybe that was the problem.
You let out a deep breath. “Jisung, I—”
“Then let me prove it,” he whispered. “Give me one last chance. Let me fight for you, for our family.”
Silence stretched between you.
Then, you reluctantly said, “…one last chance.”
Jisung let out a broken sob, he quickly got up and pressed his forehead against yours, then cupped your face before whispering, “I won't let you down ever again.”
He then pulled you against his chest, his arms wrapping around you so tightly it almost hurt.
But deep down, a part of you wondered.
Would things really change?
Or were you just delaying the inevitable heartbreak?
------------------
The next few months felt… different. Not perfect, not magically healed overnight, but different.
Jisung started coming home earlier—first by an hour, then two. At first, the kids were hesitant, unsure if this was temporary, but slowly, their walls began to lower. Jihoon started showing him his drawings again. Jisoo asked him to help with her homework. Minsoo hesitated before ballet practice, glancing at him nervously.
“I’ll be there,” Jisung promised.
And this time, he was.
He still made mistakes—forgot to pack Jihoon’s lunch one morning, burned dinner when he tried to help. But instead of brushing it off or making excuses, he tried again. He listened more. He asked questions. He showed up.
And you?
You watched. You waited. You guarded your heart, afraid to believe in him again. But every night, when he reached for your hand—just a small touch, a silent reassurance—you found yourself hesitating less and less.
Maybe love wasn’t enough to fix everything. But effort? Effort could.
And for the first time in a long time, Jisung was finally trying.

Ethan & Chad Relationship HCS!
FEM!READER
warnings: smut, inappropriate language, kinks, reader is implied to be short
red= smut
orange=mild smut
white= regular
summary: how the guys would act in a relationship with you!!
reblogging appreciated queens <33
CHAD MEEKS MARTIN
Tumblr media
Would definitely be super open about making your relationship public. He wants everyone to know who you belong to.
Love language is DEFINITELY physical touch. Just being able to hold your hand or sling an arm around your shoulder will do it for him.
Has a pretty big size k!nk. He literally gets off on the fact that he practically towers over you, and that he could just toss you around like a rag doll if needed.
Soft dom usually, until he’s had a bad day at practice and needs to take some anger out on you. His switch flips fast, and he can go from talking you through it to pretty much full on degradation.
“Come on, you got ‘nother one in you, baby.”
“Such a pretty little cockslut, hmm?”
Definitely is your go-to beer pong duo. Every time, he knows he can count on you.
WILL make you be vocal about what you want. He’s petty. If you don’t say it, he’s not giving it to you.
“What do you want, baby? Use your words.”
“You said what? Sorry, couldn’t hear ya.”
He’s big, and he KNOWS it. He’ll try to seem humble about it, until you’re blabbering random nonsense around his cock.
“Mmh… ‘S too big, Chad…”
“You can take it. I know you can.”
Comes up with the most RANDOM pet names for you. He always says one to catch you off guard, and it has you laughing every time.
“Don’t worry, my little sweet slice of pumpkin pie. Chad is here to save the day!”
“Pumpkin pie? Are we deadass?”
Ethan Landry
Tumblr media
WILL murder for you. If someone is bothering you, or even looks at you the wrong way, he’ll be sure they’re dealt with accordingly.
Uses his econ class as an excuse to sneak around with you.
Chad: “Where the hell were you? As soon as you disappeared, Ghostface just so happens to show up!”
“I was at econ!”
If econ means, “having sex with your lover” instead of economics, then yeah. He’d be at econ.
He’s a bit scared to go public, because let’s face it- he’s kind of a loser. Your loser, but still. He doesn’t know how people would think, so you shut him up.
“I don’t give a fuck about what other people think about us.”
And there was zero argument after that.
SUBMISSIVE ASF. Like will literally do anything to make you happy and pleasure you.
Chad knocked on your door while you guys were going at it once, and he’s never been able to shake the turn on of “getting caught in the act” since.
Helps you with homework. (More like does it for you) but anything for you, right?
Will take your mask kink into consideration. (If you have one, that is)
Love language is acts of service. Just being able to do something for you and make you happy just makes him happy.
LOVES cuddling. He just likes feeling your warmth, and he loves how both of you mold together like you guys were made for each other.
You did the “my husband” prank on him once, and he’s never been able to get it out of his head since.
Oblivious to how big he is. When you’re doing it for the first time, he feels a bit insecure.
“Is it good enough…?”
“Baby… More than enough.”
He couldn’t hide the cheesy grin that appeared on his face.
You defend him from the Ghostface rumors, oblivious to his actual identity. A part of him almost feels guilty for you going out of your way to disprove them. Almost.
A horrible praise kink. Literally, just praising him for getting a good grade will make him feel all sorts of things.
12 AM MOTIVATION GO BRRR
reblogging appreciated ^^

𝑺𝒖𝒄𝒄𝒆𝒔𝒔 𝑺𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚: 𝑰 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒊𝒇𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒎𝒚 𝑺𝑷 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂 𝑾𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒑𝒂𝒅-𝒆𝒔𝒒𝒖𝒆 𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒆 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒓𝒚
Tumblr media
First and foremost, I would like to apologise for my inactivity ;w; I've been so focused on school, it was HECTIC and boy do I have a lot of success stories, this being one of them. So start of the school year, I wasn't planning on manifesting a boyfriend. I just wanted good grades, beauty and stuff. Long yapping session ahead!!
I was friends with this guy. Our whole friendship started because I was bored and wanted to play cupid (He liked another girl). So I was talking with him a lot, I was his right-hand woman. But this guy, he's not fond of making first moves but the girl isn't either. Long story short, he got rejected they didn't end up together. Let's call my SP "Coco" for good measure. You thought that was the end of it and we just remained friends? Wrong, I started developing feelings for him and womp womp (I actually thought he was physically attractive when I first saw him but backed off when I saw he liked another girl because I wasn't that attached yet). An even funnier story, we're in a four-person friend group. (2 boys and 2 girls), the other two are a couple. So our friend-group was more like a double date if we did end up together. Since my 18th birthday party was coming up, I had to pick a partner for the cotilion. And I picked him (He was convinced) and I even proposed a solo. So while we were practicing, we had lots of moments and I'm pretty clumsy, you can pretty much imagine that. There came our field trip. And it was mostly water sports. After that, we were all given free time to play in the pool for about two hours. I began carrying people randomly and they started doing the same to me. I actually carried Coco too and of course he carried me too. Around dismissal, I switched places with the other guy in our friend group and sat next to him. Average romance anime cliche moment, I fell asleep on his shoulder. To fast forward through, I confessed to him but he gave me a "You deserve better, I love you as a friend" but not a definite no. The rejection is implied but what does our LOA Barbie girlie do? We persist. That time wasn't the best, I was more than awkward around him but all I thought was, "This is for the plot" over and over again.
Like a Wattpad love story, it started picking up on the day of my 18th birthday, when we sang Photograph. Not relevant? It played our part in 18 Roses (In Philippine culture, it is customary for a girl to dance with 18 bachelors to signify her coming of age). And of course, I just had to experience all the cliche moments like him holding an umbrella over me, carrying my bag, going to get ice cream, walking somewhere and exchanging longing glances when the other wasn't looking and it all came down to a pool party we had when the school year ended. I got drunk (My dumbass thought the punch was orange juice and filled my cup all the way through) and I was just mostly chilling by the jacuzzi because of it. Coco over here, if we weren't hogging the karaoke machine, we were just chilling in the jacuzzi by ourselves (And the annoying pick-me girl of the class occasionally) and when I got too drunk, apparently I asked if I could hug him and for the last 2 hours or so, I was just hugging him. It was weird because Coco would usually join water sports going on in the other pool but he decided to just chill with me.
Before we got together, just like how I would write a wattpad fanfiction, there was the mandatory angst misunderstanding. The confession was really something. Sparks Fly by Taylor Swift was playing in the background and we became an official couple at exactly 12 midnight. Now, we're in a happy and loving relationship! Honestly, I was scared of what he'd be like in a relationship (Cuz I thought he wouldn't give me what I needed, E.G. princess treatment) but since I persisted and said to myself that what I wanted would always be given to me, I'm proud to say I'm dating a guy who practically worships the ground I walk on, not afraid to show his affection and respectful. I could go on and on about how good my relationship is how he treats me so well but I'd save you all the sappy stuff.

Thunderbolt Headcanons
Alexei Shostakov
Remembers how Yelena said if he cared about her he'd have reached out to her. So he's makes sure to text her at least once a week. It's either memes he's seen or really stupid dad jokes
Since they are all staying at the tower he's also known to physically check in on her as well as the others
He has had at least two nightmares thus far of Yelena sacrificing herself into the Void
He keeps trying to be the groups PR person, no one lets him.
He has thought of how to use Bob as a mode of transport
Ava Starr
Acts as the main bouncer in the kitchen, keeping Alexei and Bob from using it and giving everyone food poisoning. (She's gentler with Bob about it)
Called Bill Foster shortly after that surprise press meeting from Val to talk to him about her doubts of being a superhero.
Has let Yelena convince her to have some fun with her powers instead of just using them for serious purposes. This has led Ava to play pranks on the other thunderbolts. John is her biggest target while Bob only gets little jumpscares.
She's the one most insistent to train Bob to fight and also how to use his powers
Due to them both having similar circumstances of getting powers Ava and Bob have bonded over it
Bob Reynolds
Takes care of a lot of the mundane tasks around the tower. Doing laundry, washing dishes, grocery store runs, helping keep track of appointments. These things let him heel useful to the group without having to use his powers.
He tries to keep physical contact to a minimum knowing touch is what causes other's to experience their own voids
Does small practice session with his powers in a derelict warehouse that has no one in or around it for a few blocks. It keeps collateral to a minimum
Still has nightmares and dreams of the shame rooms, both his and fragments of the other shame rooms. He can't remembers who's is who's though and he never asks
On top of regular therapy Bob entered a 12 step program for his drug addiction. He recently received his one year sobriety chip.
"Cumcumbers" has become a running joke with him
Bucky Barnes
Gets the rest of the Thunderbolts into therapy because how the hell can he be the most stable person in the room?
He's the other 'responsible one' keeping everyone on top of medications, therapy sessions, interviews.
Checks in on the other Thunderbolts and really tries to help them make peace. (yes even John)
Officially resigned as a congressman. He wanted to try and make the world better without fighting, but politics were a NIGHTMARE
Because Bob can't really cook he's the main chef of the group and is quite good at it thanks to his mom teaching him to Cook for herself and his sisters
John Walker
He views being in the Thunderbolts/New Avengers as his second chance and fix the fuck ups of his tenure as Captain America
He's in therapy for his PTSD and has joined anger Management classes.
While not yet mandated to pay child support he sends a good chunk of money to Olivia monthly anyway. Along with some extra if she needs it
He's shocked the other Thunderbolts by making food that's actually good. He's not sure if he should take that as a compliment or tell them all to fuck off.
He likes giving little forms of physical contact to their members of the Thunderbolts. Pats on the shoulder or very gentle arm punches. He's very touch starved himself but doesn't want to cross boundaries
He knows a lot of random factoids and tells dad jokes on occasion
Yelena
Keeps the Guinea Pig she found at the lab and even got him a friend. Their names are Manny and Captain Cuddles
She accidentally started movie night. She doesn't know how, she'd just wanted to watch a classic scary movie and all the other Thunderbolts trickled in one by one. And then they decided to make it a habit
Despite everything she was the last person to go into therapy. Because she kept comparing her trauma to the others and thought she had it the best out of all of them
As the Sunshine Protector she's the most against Bob learning to fight. But simultaneously wants to be the one to train him.

author’s note: Guys, you have showered me with love, so I'm showering you with writing.
Cross-posted on AO3 + POV3rd Person Version
Sue was so fucking right. It had only been one week of freedom, and then the workload came crashing down on you. Suddenly, every class had a welcome test attached to it, and you found yourself buried under a mountain of homework—chemical equations to solve and analyse, essays, books to read, lab practice, and lectures to attend. There wasn’t any snowball effect; it all hit at once, and by the time you and Sue returned on the first Monday of the second week, you were carrying enough work to fill two mules, and it would still have been too heavy even for them.
“Your mum is calling,” Sue’s voice pulled you out of a particularly boring passage about physical chemistry in one of your shared workbooks. You would usually put your phones on the cabinet for study time, but the vibration had startled Sue for the third time in ten minutes, so she decided to address it.
“Ugh, can you put her on speaker? I’ll deal with this quickly, and I don’t want to move,” you rolled your eyes, catching Sue’s judgmental glare. She’s your mum!
“Kochanie, finally! I’ve been trying and trying, how are you doing?” Your mum’s voice filled the room with her familiar heavy accent, though she insisted it was improving. Your dad didn’t speak a word of Polish, so Joanna had to switch to English entirely after you left.
“All good, Mum. Lots and lots and lots of studying,” you said, your voice so unamused you barely lifted your eyes from the book, though your gaze was unseeing. You had been staring at the same equation for about half an hour now.
“Have you been practising your affirmations?” Of course, you hadn’t. Silly idea.
“Yes, every day and every time someone pisses me off. How’s Dad?” You decided to deflect as soon as the opportunity presented itself.
“Dad went to Calais for a retreat, and I’m left alone for the entire week. He’s not allowed a mobile, you see,” Your mum rambled on a little longer, and you let her. You were happy to hear your parents were moving on after losing their only daughter. Even though Joanna insisted she could feel your presence in the house, in the clothes and trinkets you’d left behind, and could sense your moods through an invisible mother-daughter bond you shared. What a load of nonsense.
“Mamusia, I love you, but I have to go. I’m studying with Sue, and we’ve got a test in thirty minutes,” you added a round of loud pecks so she could hear the kisses through the phone speaker. She told you to wear red underwear and get Sue to kick you for good luck.
“Your mum sounds awesome,” Sue laughed under her breath. She tried to study but ended up listening to the entire conversation.
“Eh, she’s something. She’s pretty cool when she’s not suffocating you with love, you know?” You gave Sue a knowing smile, and she understood immediately. “Have you managed to learn anything? My brain is literally fuming.”
Sue groaned as she started packing up her notebooks to head toward the lab class. “Honestly, I don’t know. I think I’ll use my last resort—can I borrow some red knickers?” You snickered as Sue shot you a huge mocking grin.
“No, but I can kick you alright, sweet Sue,” you couldn’t help but laugh. You gathered all the papers scattered around you with both hands and shoved them into your bag. You glanced at yourself in the mirror before leaving your dorm room, and Jesus Christ, your youth had already fled. Dark circles under your eyes, a gaunt face, lips chapped—all of it painfully underlined by an ink stain on your t-shirt. Whatever, there was no time to do anything about it.
It was Viktor’s class again. You had slowly grown to dislike them, ever since he and Jayce began to switch every second day, after Jayce got a new girlfriend—beautiful Mel Medarda, a third-year theatre student whom Hale once called a close second contender to rule the planet one day. Second after you, of course.
All of Viktor’s initial friendly sass had dissolved into the mean kind, which he executed each time Heimerdinger’s students were supposed to already know something they didn’t—including you. Thankfully, most of the time, you knew. The times you didn’t, he relished it and squeezed the situation to the maximum, like a sad lemon.
“Alright, take a test from the tray on the teacher’s desk and take your usual seat. And as usual, you can have a calculator and periodic table on your workbench,” Viktor’s instructions boomed through the lab classroom as one by one, students dragged themselves through the door, each one looking more exhausted than the other. “Looking ravishing today, Y/N,” he sent a smirk your way as you passed by him without sparing him so much as a glance and a quiet ‘hi.’
“Bite me, Viktor,” you barked back at him. What the hell was he thinking?
“Gladly, but maybe after class.” Usually, the smug look on his face would get you to scoff; this time, you granted him a faint eye roll as you dragged your feet toward the workbench you shared with Sue. As Viktor strolled through the room, making sure no one had anything illegal on their tables, he snatched your phone from your desk just as you were putting it into your bag.
“No phones,” he slid it into his lab coat pocket with a wink. You whined, about to say something you’d regret, but were immediately cut off by “I said, after class,” coming from behind you as you watched his back, your eyes burning a hole in it.
You solved the test first; you were so angry. As soon as you put it back in the tray, a realisation washed over you, and what you realised was the mistake you’d made in one of the exercises. You wanted to retrieve it and fix it, but Viktor’s hand shooshed you away.
“Come on, Viktor, it was there for less than a second!”
“You put it away, it’s gone for grading. That’s the rule. Also—it’s a learning curve,” he smiled at you sweetly, and you wanted to choke him out.
“Learning curve of what? That you are being a dick?” The last part was barely a whisper, nevertheless, a whisper that was fuming with rage and could cut through steel.
“Patience. And decision-making, which is a process that you clearly haven’t mastered yet,” he said coldly, not even looking you in the eye. This time, you did scoff, and angry steps carried you back to your seat.
The class settled into a more familiar rhythm after the test, the shuffle of papers and the steady hum of Bunsen burners filling the air. Viktor moved around the room, overseeing his students’ chemistry lab exercises with the same detached air he always wore. You tried to focus, but your thoughts kept drifting back to the test—and Viktor's smug little smile as he watched your frustration unfold.
The task at hand was simple enough: a titration experiment to determine the concentration of an unknown solution. Viktor had given you all the instructions, but as you watched the beaker of sodium hydroxide mix with the diluted acid, you felt a sinking feeling in your stomach. Something about the instructions didn’t sit right with you.
You glanced over at Sue, who was carefully measuring out the chemicals. You leaned in, whispering so Viktor wouldn’t overhear.
“Sue, I think he messed up the ratios in the instructions. If we follow this, it’s gonna screw everything up. We’ll end up with a totally different result.”
Sue frowned, taking a closer look at the setup. “You sure?”
“I’m certain. The way he wrote it—if we add that much of the sodium hydroxide, the pH is going to overshoot too quickly. It'll neutralise the acid too fast, and we won’t get an accurate reading. If we’re supposed to get a neutralisation point, that change will mess with the whole titration curve.”
Sue was sceptical, but you were adamant. You felt it in your gut. "It’ll be off. Trust me."
Sue nodded reluctantly. "So, what do we do?"
You hesitated for a moment, your fingers tapping the edge of the desk as you thought. You pulled up a few formulas on Sue’s phone, glancing back at Viktor to make sure he wasn’t looking in your direction.
“If we use less sodium hydroxide, the neutralisation will occur more slowly, and we’ll get a more accurate pH reading. We’re supposed to use a much more diluted solution.”
Sue nodded, though she looked uneasy. “What the hell, let’s try it.”
You adjusted the solution as you suggested, making the necessary changes to the procedure. You proceeded with the experiment, and despite her hesitation, Sue followed your lead. The two of you worked in tandem, the smooth, natural chemistry of your lab partnership taking over. As you neared the end of the titration, it was clear you had achieved the neutralisation point correctly—without overshooting or leaving any room for error.
Meanwhile, the rest of the class was still fumbling through their measurements, the air thick with the sounds of Viktor’s quiet reprimands. You couldn’t help but glance at him every now and then, noting the small, almost imperceptible frown on his face as he inspected his students’ work.
When the clock pointed to fifteen minutes away from the class ending, Heimerdinger stepped into the lab, his eyes scanning the results with interest. He walked toward your workbench, eyes lighting up as he reviewed your calculations.
“Well, it seems we have at least one pair who didn’t follow the instructions blindly,” Heimerdinger said, his voice rich with approval. “Good work, you two. You’ve done the experiment correctly. Trusting your instincts—making adjustments based on the data rather than simply following authority—is key in science. After all, we’re here to discover, not just to repeat what’s been done.”
You allowed yourself a smile of satisfaction, while Sue breathed a little easier, glancing at you in admiration.
Viktor’s face, however, was unreadable. He stood at the back of the room, arms folded tightly across his chest, watching the interaction with narrowed eyes.
Heimerdinger didn’t seem to mind. “It’s a learning curve for all of us, even your teacher. Mistakes are inevitable. But sometimes when we challenge authority—question the procedures—that’s when we learn and grow. Science is born from curiosity and defiance. Respect is important, of course, but don’t be afraid to challenge when you feel something isn’t right.”
You raised an eyebrow at Viktor, who hadn’t said a word. His lips were pressed into a thin line, but his eyes were hard as steel. He wasn’t pleased by Heimerdinger’s praise of your independent thinking.
“That’s how science is made,” Heimerdinger continued, completely oblivious to the tension between his students and the teacher. “By asking ‘what if?’ and exploring the unknown.”
Viktor finally spoke, his voice cool and controlled. “That’s true,” he said, glancing at you. “But there's a fine line between innovation and recklessness. Don’t mistake one for the other.”
You met his gaze, your jaw tight. “I don’t think we did.”
Viktor’s eyes flickered with something unreadable, but he didn’t respond, turning on his heel and walking toward the front of the room. Sue nudged you gently, a smirk tugging at her lips. “Well, at least we didn’t screw up,” she whispered.
You smiled back, but your mind was still racing. You had challenged Viktor’s authority—hadn’t followed his instructions—and it had got you praise from the professor. This couldn’t be good. “Sue, I don’t think I’m getting my phone back,” you whined into your friend's shoulder, who giggled uncontrollably.
You waited for your group to disperse into the library or the cantina before the start of the next lecture, making sure Viktor wouldn’t be able to humiliate you in front of anyone. You took a deep breath and knocked weakly on the door of the assistant’s back office.
“Come in,” Viktor’s voice was as flat and unwelcoming as ever. You braced yourself as you turned the doorknob and stepped inside quietly. Viktor was sitting at one of the tiny desks you were cramped at with Jayce and didn’t even look up. You cleared your throat.
“Yes?” This time, he looked up. God, he looked angry. When he finally raised his eyes to meet yours, he only sighed. “I doubt I can do much for you, Y/N. Given that you know everything already.”
“That’s rich coming from a guy who broke into the lab to prove his point once. Yes, Jayce told me,” you smiled at him sweetly, referring to his second-year incident when he and Jayce breached the lab security at night and conducted an experiment they were forbidden to do by Heimerdinger himself. This got them secure spots for PhD and TA positions.
Seeing that there was absolutely nothing coming from his direction but a blank stare, you asked carefully, “Well… why did you fuck up?”
Viktor sighed again, stood up slowly, and walked toward you. “Some theatre girls got us drunk last night—Mel’s friends. And I messed up the notes. Chemistry is not my major, as you know.” A smirk started to paint his face as he observed your reaction to the mention of drinking with some girls.
Viktor decided to push you further, his smirk widening as he leaned against the desk. “It’s hard to focus when you’re surrounded by Mel’s friends, you know. A lot of distractions. I haven't quite shaken last night off me yet,” he teased, his eyes glinting with amusement.
Your heart dropped at his words. You forced yourself to keep your expression neutral, but something inside you shifted—you didn’t want to admit it, but it hurt. Viktor was deliberately drawing attention to some girls, and it stung more than you cared to acknowledge.
You scolded yourself internally. Stop it. Don’t let him get to you. But it was already too late. You could feel a pang of something—jealousy, maybe, or insecurity—but you refused to let it show.
Viktor, sensing your discomfort, didn’t let up. “By the way,” he said, his tone casual, “I took a closer look at your test. You know, given your answers, I understand how you worked out the correct proportions for the exercise. Same mistake you made on the test itself, right?”
Your stomach twisted, and your chest tightened. “So now you’re just going to relish in my defeat, aren’t you?” you shot back, your voice strained.
Viktor raised an eyebrow. “I’ve got far better things to relish in. Just making observations.”
You exhaled sharply, your anger bubbling over. “You know, because you were being such a dick, the thing I actually knew will probably lower my final grade now. Congratulations.”
Viktor’s smirk never faltered. “I wasn’t being a dick,” he said, voice smooth. “I was merely being a meticulous stiff bastard.” He leaned back, his tone laced with sarcasm. “You were quite vocal about that, if I recall. Something about me being a ‘pedantic pain in the ass’ when you were drunk.”
Your face flushed, your hand tightening into a fist at your side. That comment struck a nerve you hadn’t even realised was there. Your heart pounded. “Are you seriously so petty, Viktor, that you’re going to take revenge for some drunken slur by messing with my grade?” you snapped, your voice rising. You turned to leave, the weight of your frustration heavy on your chest.
But Viktor’s voice stopped you cold. “Wait,” he said, and for a moment, you thought he was going to apologise. Maybe even admit he’d gone too far.
You glanced over your shoulder, ready to hear some kind of redemption. But then Viktor’s tone shifted again. “You didn’t forget something, did you?”
You froze as he pulled your phone from his pocket and held it out to you, a mischievous gleam in his eye. The sight of your phone in his hand made your heart sink. You really are a bastard, you thought.
With strained composure, you took the phone from him. Your fingers brushed his, sending an unexpected jolt through you. Viktor’s gaze lingered on you a moment longer than necessary, and for the briefest second, you saw something flicker behind his usual cool façade. Something almost… uncertain.
Your stomach fluttered—No. Not now. Don’t let him do this to you.
You forced a tight smile, returning his gaze. “I can play this game too, Viktor,” you said, your voice low and controlled.
Viktor’s smirk faltered for a brief moment, and he leaned back against the desk, watching you with a hint of something deeper in his expression. His eyes softened, but he quickly masked it with another calculated look.
You turned to leave, your mind racing with frustration and another weird emotion you didn’t have the name for. Just before you reached the door, you felt a shift in the air. Viktor’s teasing had crossed a line, and somehow, the distance between you felt less like a joke and more like something real. Why does this matter so much to me?
Your heart thudded painfully in your chest. Viktor hadn’t just teased you. He’d affected you, and you hated that. As you stepped out of the office, you could feel his gaze on your back, following you, studying your body. You scolded yourself internally for looking like a wreck and made your way to join Sue in the library.
Your friend regarded you with concern as you slid into the chair at the table, books already splayed out in front of her. “Did you get your phone back?”
“Yeah, it was a fight to the death,” you mumbled, sighing heavily as you opened a massive tome of genetics for the next lecture.
“And who died?” Sue asked, placing a reassuring hand on your shoulder.
“Oh, definitely me this time.” You whined and dropped your head face-flat onto the table. “I don’t understand when this happened. Can you direct me to a point in time when Viktor woke up and chose violence?” you chuckled despite yourself.
“Um… I think it was some time after the party where that cute curly-haired guy with a poetic name clung to you the entire evening. Or—” she smirked—“you calling Viktor a meticulous stiff bastard.”
“Ambrose? I completely forgot about him,” you mused for a second. There had been an Ambrose sometime during your first weeks. He was from the theatre department too, full of big words, slightly obsessive, but overall nice. You never gave him your number, though, deciding it wasn’t meant to be.
“So you think Viktor loves me so much, jealousy rotted his guts?” you laughed a little too loudly, drawing a few irritated ‘shh!’ sounds from nearby students.
“Let’s say it’s my instinct,” Sue replied with a mischievous smile. “And remember, Y/N—trusting your instincts is key in science,” she added in a hushed, exaggerated Heimerdinger impression, causing you to suppress your laugh even further.
***
Viktor stretched in his chair. The last paper to check stared him in the eye, glaring at him almost as intensely as you had that morning. He groaned slightly at the pain in his leg as the door creaked open.
“Hi, partner,” Jayce greeted, shooting him a smile that was a mix of guilt and a plea for forgiveness. He’d left Viktor for an entire day to gallivant around campus with Mel. She had apparently needed strong arms to carry boxes of flyers advertising their winter show.
“Don’t ‘hi, partner’ me, Jayce,” Viktor huffed but smiled faintly under his nose. “How was it?”
“She’s really something, Vik. I can tell you over a beer?” Jayce offered, clearly still buzzing from his all-day hangout with his beautiful, smart, interesting, unique, elegant, new girlfriend.
“I think I’m going to call it a night. One last paper to check.” Viktor groaned slightly as he flipped your paper in front of his friend’s face. Jayce snatched it mid-air and studied it carefully for a minute.
“How come? I thought she was the only one to work around your… notes mishap?” Jayce tread carefully, noticing the frown forming on Viktor’s forehead. He knew exactly how Viktor had messed up the notes—sadly, it was partially his fault as well.
Viktor leaned back in his chair, still staring at the paper. “Yes, indeed, she was. She even tried to fix her answer when she put the test into the box,” he muttered quietly under his breath.
Jayce raised an eyebrow. “So why didn’t she?”
Viktor rolled his eyes, the motion quick and dismissive. “Because, Jayce, I don’t make exceptions for students who can't follow the rules.”
“Oh, Viktor,” Jayce sighed, shaking his head. “What did she do to get so deeply under your skin? Seriously, you're not usually like this.” Viktor was only mean and vigilant when he cared—or when he was hurt. That, Jayce knew. He just didn’t know which one it was.
Viktor shrugged nonchalantly, but there was an edge to his voice. “She’s just full of herself. Thinks she can do whatever she wants because she’s got it all figured out.”
Jayce’s lips twitched into a knowing smile. “Oh, I see. Well, if someone’s getting on your nerves that much, it usually means they’re reflecting something about you that you don’t want to see.”
Viktor stared at him blankly, the words almost not registering. Then, he let out a short, mocking laugh. “When did you start spreading the wisdom of your people around the world, Jayce?”
Jayce leaned back in his chair, crossing his arms casually. “Mel teaches me how to talk to difficult people now. You know, learning to understand them and not just shut them down immediately.”
Viktor raised an eyebrow, his tone sceptical. “Am I the difficult one here?”
Jayce’s grin widened. “Clearly. I mean, you’re willing to fuck up Y/N’s final grade over a sentiment. That’s not exactly… rational behaviour, is it?” He leaned into the desk, hoping for a moment of self-reflection from his friend.
Viktor was silent for a moment, then scoffed, trying to brush off the conversation. “It’s not like that. I’m not just doing it to be petty.”
Jayce leaned in slightly. “So, what did you tell Heimerdinger about the mishap?”
Viktor leaned forward as well, his voice dropping into a more serious tone. “I told him the truth—both of us fell asleep in the lab, working on our side project. I had to rush to class that morning. No big deal.”
Jayce nodded, processing this. “I’m sure Heimerdinger won’t bat an eyelid if you step up for Y/N, especially since she did well in class. If anything, she deserves some leniency.”
Viktor paused, looking at his friend thoughtfully. “I guess I could do that. Just… don’t think this is something I do for everyone,” he exhaled, rubbing his temple. “But I’ll talk to Heimerdinger.”
Jayce smirked, leaning back in his chair again. “There you go. Maybe Mel’s influence is working on you after all.”
Viktor shot him a look, clearly not amused. But deep down, he couldn't deny there was something about you that unsettled him—and, for some reason, it had started to bother him more than he cared to admit.
“Just keep your wisdom to yourself,” Viktor muttered. “And get out of my office. I still have work to do.”
Jayce chuckled but stood up, winking. “Hey, it’s my office as well! But yeah, I get the point.” As Jayce exited, Viktor stared at the paper before him, his mind occupied by frustration. A meticulous stiff bastard he was indeed.

Hey. I want to say Thanks for all the work you do here. My question is nothing biological, it's just something that spawned from a memory about my high school sex ed.
For some context, I went to a private evangelist high school in a semi-well off neighborhood in Buenos Aires. I had scholarship and some subsides that allowed me to go there as a middle class kid. So I did get Sex Ed that I can say honestly was fine.
Like, they didn't tell us to just don't have sex. we had one talk every two months from 3rd year onwards taught by a biology teacher and maybe some TA that got called in as aide if something needed to be demonstrated.
But every now and then we also has a "social sex Ed" class. Usually taught by one of the counselors. The gist was the guy coming in and telling us about interpersonal relantionships. We had a unit on like domestic violence and one on abusive relantionships from what I recall.
So my question is if that's something that exists in the Sex Ed space? Like, I'm on board with teaching teens those stuff a 100%. It's undeniable a good resource. But Idk if that's something that's standard practice or my school was just doing that
hi, thank you for sharing! I'm glad to hear that you had access to so much information :)
what's typical of sex ed varies enormously from place to place; in some places, you're lucky if the teachers are allowed to acknowledge that protected sex exists at all instead of insisting on abstinence until marriage. personally I think that sex education absolutely should include discussions about safely navigating intimate relationships, because leaving that out makes sex seem like something that happens in a void, like it has nothing to do with any other kinds of human interactions, which doesn't improve anyone's communication. a lot of people come away from sex ed with the impression that they're supposed to just Know What To Do instinctively if and when the opportunity to have partnered sex arises, which couldn't be further from the truth and can make early sexual experiences much more stressful and scary than they need to be.
most of the in-person teaching I do is with younger folks, around the aged of 10-12. and we absolutely talk about consent and boundary-setting in addition to basic mechanics of puberty and pregnancy, because that's a really important part of the equation. teaching the kids how a sperm meets an egg is useless if we don't also teach them how to decide if they personally feel ready for sexual intimacy and how to talk that through with a potential partner, as well as how to say no if they find themselves in situations where they're being pressure to do something that they don't want.
I had a conversation once with the father of one of my students - nice guy, really excited for his kiddo to receive a thorough sex education - who told me with very real regret that his high school offered very thorough details on the physical mechanics of sex and contraception but didn't offer students any guidance on how to actually navigate consent with partners. while he never experienced any pregnancy scares of STIs as a teen, he said he was sure that he was nevertheless "not a very good partner" because while he knew about using condoms, he never learned how to actually talk through his feelings with the girls he dated. it seemed really obvious, to me that, having learned a lot since his teen years, he was carrying a lot of remorse for the ways he might have unintentionally hurt his teenage girlfriends, and was eager for his own child to learn the tools to avoid falling into the same behavior.
part of the curriculum is learning to spot inappropriate behavior and potential predation and how to seek help in those scenarios. when learning about sex, especially for young people, I do think it's genuinely really important to model positive, consensual interactions so that there's a clear point of comparison against situations that are unsafe. but in my class also talk about situations where there are questions of consent but no one clearly in the wrong. what if you friend wants to try kissing and you don't know what to say? what if someone you like is getting too touchy and you want them to stop? if you have a crush on a friend but they don't reciprocate, how should you act towards them after that? all of those are important scenarios to talk about, and help the kids build their skills of conflict resolution and communication in all areas of their lives.
so, the short answer is that it's absolutely not a universal practice, but I really wish it was because it would do a tremendous amount of good.

People don’t really get it when you’re still showing up. When you’re laughing at memes, making your friends soup when they’re sick, handing out high-fives after practice, or even kissing your girlfriend like the world isn’t tilting inside your head.
They don’t get that you can be drowning and still swim laps.
Most days, I hold it together.
Actually, I hold me together.
Bit by bit. Smile by smile. Deadline by deadline. The occasional crying session in the shower, but I still dry off and get dressed and act like I didn’t just think about disappearing for five straight minutes.
I was at the library that night.
Trying to get through the last 300 words of a paper for my psych class—funny enough, on burnout and academic pressure.
I had started strong.
Annotated sources, thesis outlined, even a funny little metaphor in the intro. But somewhere between paragraph two and the conclusion, my brain short-circuited.
I stared at the blinking cursor and felt the air shift. Like gravity just doubled.
I didn’t even notice the time.
Until I did.
12:05 a.m.
“No. No no no no no—” I said, scrambling to the submission tab.
Canvas.
Loading…
Due: April 24th, 11:59 p.m.
Late: 12:00 a.m.
“No!” I slammed my laptop shut and my heart instantly took off like I’d just run stairs. “Shit, shit, shit.”
When I got back to the dorm, I dropped my backpack by the door with a thud.
Jana was sitting cross-legged on my bed in a hoodie and shorts, scrolling through TikTok with her hair pulled into a low messy bun. She looked up instantly, like she’d been waiting for me.
“Hey, babe—” she started. Then saw my face.
“Bubba?” Her voice softened.
I didn’t answer. I just sat down on the edge of the bed and buried my face in my hands.
Jana slid closer. “What happened?”
“I—I missed it,” I whispered.
“Missed what?”
“The psych paper. It was due at 11:59 and I clicked submit at 12:05. Five minutes, Jana. Just five. And now it’s late and she’s not gonna take it and I’m screwed and I’m—I’m—” My voice cracked.
“Okay, okay,” she said gently, touching my back. “Hey. Look at me.”
I didn’t want to. But I did.
Her brown eyes were calm, soft. The kind of steady you could cry into for hours.
“You’re okay,” she said. “It’s five minutes. She’s not going to fail you over five minutes.”
“You don’t know that.”
“She said she’s lenient.”
“But what if she changed her mind?” My voice rose. “What if she’s tired of me being on the edge and just decides—‘that’s enough’? I’ve been turning things in barely on time, emailing about extensions. She probably thinks I’m lazy.”
“You’re not lazy, love,” Jana said immediately. “You’re tired. And overwhelmed. There’s a difference.”
That broke me.
Because yeah—I was tired. So tired. Not just physically, but in the bone-deep way where your soul feels wrung out like an old sponge. And I was overwhelmed, but I’d been pretending not to be. Pretending so well, I almost fooled myself.
Almost.
“I—I don’t know what’s wrong with me,” I said, voice cracking. “I do everything. I show up. I get shit done. I smile and make jokes and I even helped Mike with his project last week when I didn’t even finish my own. And it’s like—I’m doing everything right, and it’s still not enough. I’m still falling behind. I’m still a mess.”
Jana wrapped her arms around me from behind, resting her chin on my shoulder. “You’re not a mess,” she said quietly. “You’re a person. A person who’s been holding way too much without letting anyone help.”
“I didn’t want to dump it on you,” I whispered. “You’re busy with games and practice and media—”
“You’re never a dump,” she said. “You’re my girlfriend. You’re my bubba. You’re the person I want to help.”
I started crying then.
The ugly kind. Chest-heaving, nose-running, couldn’t-even-breathe kind.
And she didn’t flinch. She held me tighter, rocking us slightly, rubbing circles on my back like I was the only thing that mattered in the world.
“I don’t know how to fix it,” I choked.
“You don’t have to fix it alone,” she said. “We’ll figure it out together.”
We sat like that for a long time.
At some point, Jana got up and brought me a hoodie—hers—and tucked it over my shoulders. Then she handed me her water bottle and a banana from her drawer.
I laughed through tears. “Did you just… therapist me?”
She smiled. “Maybe. But I did it out of love. And because I know you didn’t eat dinner.”
“Guilty,” I sniffled, chewing slowly.
When I finished, she tugged me into bed and wrapped herself around me like a shield.
“You don’t always have to be the strong one,” she whispered into my hair.
“I don’t know how not to be.”
“I’ll teach you.”
The next morning, I woke up to her gently nudging my shoulder.
“I emailed Professor Harris for you,” she said.
“What?”
“I explained that you had a rough night, said the paper was done and just got turned in a few minutes late. She responded already.”
My heart nearly stopped. “And?”
Jana passed me her phone.
The email was simple.
Hi — thank you for the heads up. I appreciate the honesty. I’ll accept the assignment with no penalty. Take care of yourself.
• Prof. Harris
I blinked at the screen. “She’s not mad?”
“She’s not mad,” Jana said, kissing my temple. “She’s human. Just like you.”
I pressed my face into her neck. “Thank you, babe.”
“You’re welcome, bubba.”
I let her brush my hair.
Let her draw stars on my back with her fingertip while I lay face-down on her lap, half-asleep and half-broken but whole enough to keep going.
“I’ve been so scared,” I admitted quietly. “Of messing up. Of not being enough. Of dropping something and it all falling apart.”
She kissed the back of my neck. “You can drop things. I’ll catch them with you.”
I smiled into her hoodie. “That was poetic.”
She laughed. “I’ve been practicing. You inspire me.”
It’s not fixed.
Functional depression doesn’t just go away after one breakdown or one kind gesture. It lingers. It resurfaces. But it doesn’t win.
Not when someone sees you through the mask.
Not when your girlfriend notices the way your smile doesn’t reach your eyes, and doesn’t push—but stays. Waits. And holds you when the weight gets too heavy.
So yeah—I’m still swimming. Still showing up. But now, when I get tired, I have a place to rest. Arms to catch me. A voice to remind me I’m not a failure just because I’m exhausted.
I have Jana.
And for the first time in a while, I’m starting to believe I’m going to be okay.

XF Meta: Scully's Medical Training Timeline
At the request of @randomfoggytiger, I wanted to do my damnedest to make Scully's education and training timeline make even a little sense. I'm a physician (specifically a specialist in adult infectious diseases), and it's fairly clear to me that CC and Co probably didn't actually talk to any doctors about how medical training works. Love my girl - I'm a Scully Effect kid, I don't think I'd be a doctor at all if it weren't for the inspiration of Dana Scully. But her timeline is...iffy at best.
Disclaimer: My medical school and post-med school training occurred from 2009-2018, Scully's occurred in the 1980's-90's. From what I can tell, the durations of many residencies and fellowships don't seem to have changed much, but I can't say that for certainty for all programs at all institutions. I am also from the US, so I cannot speak to medical training in other countries.
Our girl was born in 1964, and so unless she skipped a grade (which some schools would do if students were classified as "gifted" or otherwise exceptional, she would have graduated from high school at age 18 in 1982 and went straight to college. Let's assume she didn't skip a grade, for the sake of argument.
You have to have a Bachelor's degree to apply to medical school. These degrees typically take 4 years, though if someone arrives at college with credits from dual-enrollment high school classes or AP exam credits OR if they take summer classes some people can complete them in 3 years. I don't know what the availability of dual enrollment or AP classes was like in the early 80's (and like CC, I'm too lazy to do the research to find out), so we can assume that Scully graduated from college in 1986.
Medical school is 4 years long - no shortening this at that point in time, and even now in almost all cases. So that puts medical school graduation in 1990 IF she's following a traditional timeline and went straight from college to medical school.
Now, if someone is going to go into practice they have to do a residency in at least one of a variety of specialties (Internal Medicine, Pediatrics, Surgery, etc.) in order to be board certified and practice independently. There are very, very few job options in clinical medicine if you DON'T do a residency, so if you want to practice, you have to do it. Residencies can be anywhere from 3-5 years, depending on the specialty. You can also further subspecialize after a residency by doing one or more fellowships (typically 1-3 years depending on the fellowship) before sitting for your board certification exams and starting independent practice. For example - after medical school I did a 3-year residency in adult internal medicine, then a 2 year fellowship in adult infectious diseases to be eligible to sit for the boards and enter my specialty, so 5 years further training after medical school before I could get a job, get board certified, and practice.
Scully is a forensic pathologist. She would have had to do a 3 or 4 year pathology residency (both were options at the time) followed by a 1 year forensic pathology fellowship. You CANNOT perform autopsies right out of medical school, if you are going to be a forensic pathologist you HAVE to do this training. So, following a traditional timeline this puts her as having completed forensic pathology training in 1994 or 1995. Pilot starts March 7th, 1992, so this is loooooong after she's canonically already an FBI agent and teaching at the academy.
But our girl's a smart cookie, so let's take a little leeway with her timeline. Let's say she skipped a grade some time in K-12. This puts high school graduation in 1981. Let's say she ALSO graduates with a bunch of AP credit and does summer semesters and finishes her undergraduate degree in Physics in 3 years. This puts her as starting medical school in 1984, with graduation in 1988. She'd still need to do that pathology residency and forensic pathology fellowship - let's assume a 3 year residency, then 1 year fellowship, so she'd finish training in 1992.
Still doesn't fit.
Let's go totally off the rails here - we know Scully was recruited out of medical school to the FBI, so she didn't do a traditional residency at all - UNLESS the FBI has an internal forensic pathology residency. It would HAVE to be accelerated in some way - some programs combine residency and fellowship by giving less elective time and more focus to the fellowship content. It's not common but they exist. Let's say in theory the FBI has an accelerated forensic pathology residency that takes 3 years, in addition to the 20 weeks of the FBI academy training. This has her finishing residency AND FBI academy training some time in 1991.
This is the ONLY way she could have finished forensic pathology training AND the FBI academy with enough time to be a fully certified forensic pathologist and FBI agent with some time left to teach at the FBI academy before being assigned to the X-Files on March 7th, 1992.
I can suspend my disbelief enough to be on board with this. You'd have to be pretty damned special, which we know she is, to get recruited out of medical school by the FBI. Maybe they even developed the accelerated combined residency/fellowship just for her! She's Dana Katherine Motherf***ing Scully, people!
Now, IWTB is where things get REALLY unbelievable. (Disclaimer: I have not watched IWTB since seeing it in theaters in 2008. I'll get around to rewatching it someday soon. Probably with a bottle of wine. Not a glass. A bottle.)
Mulder and Scully go on the run in 2002. We don't know how long they were in the wind, but by 2008, she's been allowed to resume a career and is practicing at Our Lady of Sorrows. Clearly in pediatrics - but general pediatricians sure as hell don't do stem cell transplants, so she'd almost certainly have to be a pediatric oncologist. We aren't told what her specialty is specifically, but that's what she'd have to be to do a stem cell transplant.
(That scene in the OR isn't even what stem cell transplants LOOK LIKE but that's a rant for another day, back to my point.)
MEDICAL BOARDS DON'T JUST LET YOU CHANGE YOUR SPECIALTY FOR FUNSIES.
(Deep breaths. Serenity now. Ok, let's do this.)
Scully would have had to do an ENTIRELY NEW residency AND fellowship in order to practice as a pediatric oncologist. Pediatrics residency is 3 years long. Pediatric Hematology/Oncology fellowship is 3 years long. In order for this to be even remotely possible, she would have had to START residency in 2002 to finish fellowship by 2008 and start her job at Our Lady of Sorrows.
And she's a former FBI agent harboring a known felon, on the run from government officials and alien hybrids who want her and Mulder dead.
There is absolutely no way even the smallest, most hard-up pediatric residency program is going to accept her with that hanging over her head. I'm not going to get into all the details of how rigorous and stressful the post-medical school residency application and match process is, but even if she didn't apply until she KNEW it was safe to come out from underground, she'd still have to explain a multi-year gap in her resume/CV to the program directors. Multi-year gaps in career and training without a reasonable explanation like a medical issue, time off to care for an ailing family member, time off for research, time away in a different, legitimate career are NOT looked on kindly when applying for residency positions. She would have a HELL of a time getting into a totally different residency.
It could happen - if anyone could do it, she could. But there's absolutely no way there's enough time for her to complete that training by 2008.
"But sagan-starstuff, it's CC, it's X-Files, we know there was no show bible and no one but the fans gave a shit about continuity or things making sense, there's no logic just vibes"
I KNOW, OK. I KNOW. And I love this insane, beautiful masterpiece anyway. I love exploring the possibilities of how and when it all could have happened with my fellow insane Philes who work so hard to glean meaning and order from this perfect mess of a show.
But couldn't CC have talked to one (1) doctor about what medical training is like at some point between 1993 and 2018? Just one?
Anyway. Yeah. That's my meta. Scully's training timeline makes no goddamned sense. Compels me, though.
@randomfoggytiger, this is for you. Honorable mention to @precedex-files who I ranted about this with in messages a while back.

stray kids x reader (platonic)
genre: fluff, angst
content warnings: bullying, physical abuse, verbal abuse
Remember to reblog if you enjoy, and my asks are open! :)
you're a 15 year old trainee at JYP, good friends with the Stray Kids members who took you under their wing and see you as a younger sister. What they don't know is that you're being bullied by a couple of older trainees, who are jealous of your friendship with them.
MASTERLIST
Tumblr media
It was getting worse. The rude comments, the punches, the feeling of being broken apart. Why did they have to pick on you? You deserved to be here as much as anyone else. You had been a trainee at JYP for three years now, joining when you were 12 years old, tearily waving goodbye to your parents as you bravely made the move to achieve your dreams. You would think that any trainee would be able to empathise with the other, knowing that they were all going through their own emotions, figuring out their emotions at the same time as trying to make your debut.
With some people, one emotion was more prevalent than others.
Jealousy.
There were two girls that had noticed you getting closer with the talented group Stray Kids, and they despised the fact that it wasn't them getting all the attention. But it wasn't a thing of getting attention for you, no, it was the guidance, the safety, the ease you felt of being yourself around them. They were your brothers, simple as that.
Going to dance class the next day shouldn't have been so daunting. You had had plenty of help from danceracha, the boys talking you through the steps, helping you correct the finer details whilst encouraging you and hyping you up at the same time. Yet, when you saw the two girls who were making your life miserable, you wanted to run and hide.
It was a breath of fresh air when you finally finished the dance lesson, yet it seemed to all be taken away from you when you felt a hand yank you backwards into a supply closet.
You let out a yelp as the door was harshly slammed.
"W-what?!?" you shakily called out.
Your hair was yanked back and you yelped again.
"Quiet bitch!" you recognise the voice of one of the girls from your class. You thought you had escaped them this time, but they always found a way to catch you off guard and drag you down even further.
"You must have some nerve going near our boys," Daesun practically growled in your ear as she glared down at you.
You pulled a face of confusion but that must have angered them judging by the harsh slap you received.
"Ah!" you winced from the sheer force of the hand colliding with your face.
"Be quiet! Silly girl, don't want people knowing you're weak, do we?" Daesun kicked your shin, hard.
"And don't act like you don't know what we're talking about!!" Jia practically spat.
The silence after they spoke didn't sit well with them, but you were too busy trying to breathe through the pain.
They then pushed into a shelving unit, pain spreading across your back as you tried to regain your balance and not give them the satisfaction of crying out loud in pain once again.
A hand was tightly wrapped around your throat.
"Aren't you gonna say something?!?" Daesun dangerously tilted her head.
"You told me to be quiet" you choked out, trying to push their hands off of you.
They chucked you to the ground, you gasping for air as you felt a foot stomp down on your back.
"Pathetic. You do whatever anyone tells you. So you better listen. Don't go anywhere near our boys or you won't get off as lightly as you are right now!" They threatened you.
But you didn't get off lightly, if it was anything to go by with your bruised back from their angered kicks, or the spontaneous black eye you received for just 'laying there and taking it'.
They had left the supply closet, but their words hadn't left your mind.
Pathetic
Useless
Untalented
They had left the supply closet but you hadn't missed the sound of the lock turning. Whimpering in pain from the slightest movement, you didn't quite have the motivation to try and stand and unlock the door.
You felt guilty as you were due to go and hang out with the boys, but you must have fallen asleep because the next thing you know, the door unlocked and there was the gasp of a cleaner who was trying to collect her supplies.
"Sweetie what happened to you?" She said as she helps you up, concern shining through her eyes as she takes in your bruised, unsteady form.
"Please don't tell anyone I'm just going to head home now," you whispered and quickly walked away. You couldn't head home, not really, you still had a vocal lesson to attend later. But that sweet old lady didn't need to know that.
You limped, holding your back as you rounded the corner, but then you heard their voices. You swiftly changed the direction you were headed in and got into the elevator, pressing the button to the floor you were so used to visiting, like it was second nature.
You made a beeline to Chan's studio, where 3RACHA worked their magic, thankful no one was in there. You just needed a safe space right now, and so you hid under the desk, curling up and trying to calm yourself down from the pain, and from the tears that wouldn't stop falling down your face.
The door opened, a set of footsteps entering and you couldn't help the sound of feat that escaped you because all that was running through your mind is that they found you.
"Hello?" A voice called out.
Shit
It was Han.
There was movement before a face was staring down at you curled up underneath the desk
You didn't think he had quite realised it you.
"Excuse me I don't think you can be in here, is everything ok?" He said gently.
This only made you cry more, my shoulders shaking violently feeling overwhelmed by his gentle tone after having to deal with Daesun and Jia.
"Wait... Y/N? Y/N what are you doing here? What's wrong?" He said hurriedly and concerned, his face peering at me under the desk.
"Please they won't leave me alone.. I'm not meant to talk to you," you cry, unable to forget what the older girls had said to you.
"Hey it's ok, it's ok, just stand up with me.. that's it, now come with me" he says gently holding you as he guides you to stand.
Suddenly he gasps, "your face... what happened?"
"It's my fault I couldn't stop it" you say distressed and still crying, his hands slightly tightening around his grasp on your arms as he realises something horrible must have happened.
"Ok, it's ok Y/N just walk with me" he says leading you out of the studio and into the practice room further down the corridor, but you try and stop him from doing it. You're not meant to talk to them, you remind yourself.
You use your body weight to lean the opposite way but he wraps his arms around you and tries to stop you, not finding it difficult to do so.
"Y/N... Y/N calm down, it's ok," his eyes glisten as he watches my scared and upset form.
"No no no I can't go in there they'll find out" you mumble, shaking your head repeatedly
"I got you ok, and so do the boys. Whatever or whoever you're scared of, forget about it, we'll look after you. And I want to know why you were curled up in the studio terrified out of your mind," Han guides you towards the door, opening it and walking you into the practice room where the rest of the group awaits.
"Hey Han did you get your headphones? Where were- Oh my... Y/N?!?"
"Where did those bruises come from?!"
"What on earth happened?"
"Aish! Quick sit her down."
Han walks you with him over to the sofa and the rest of the boys all moved over to gather around you.
"Y/N, what happened?" Hyunjin asked concerned.
You just shook your head not wanting to answer from your seat between Felix and Lee Know.
"Han... What happened to her?" Chan questioned looking serious, seeing your shaking form.
"I'm not sure hyung. I went into our studio to get my headphones and then I just found her curled up like this underneath the desk." Han explained looking at you concerned.
Felix had an arm gently resting around your shoulders trying to ease your trembling.
"Ah poor girl," Lee know murmured.
A hand tapped your knee making you flinch slightly even at that, but you looked up and saw Changbin which made you relax a bit.
"Y/N... Please tell us what happened, we don't have to do anything if you don't want us to but at least tell us where you're hurt so we know you're not in as much pain." He said to you, looking you in the eyes.
You nodded and heard some sighs of relief as you did so, shuffling slightly to move more into the middle of the sofa out of Felix's hold.
You clasped my hands together nervously thinking where to start.
"It's ok Y/N, it's just us in here." Hyunjin reassured you, standing in between Seungmin and Jeongin.
You nodded and stood up on shaky legs.
"Umm.. well.." you didn't know what to say and just pointed to your back.
"Are you trying to say your back is hurt?" Seungmin asked. You simply nodded in response as you bit your lip.
"Ah then sit down! You'll need to rest if your back is hurt" Chan inputted looking concerned.
Jeongin stepped forward and gently helped you sit down back next to Felix and Lee Know.
"Can you tell us if it's your lower back or whereabouts the pain is?" Changbin gently asked, from where he was now kneeled down in front of you.
But you were at a loss of how to explain that your whole back was in pain.
"Y/N? Is that too much or do you want us to stop now?" Han said sitting on the floor in front of you next to Changbin.
You shook your head, thankful at their consideration, "ah... All?"
You took in deep breaths thinking about how you were going to be able to bullying. Would they be angry at you for not telling them?
"My whole back hurts, but more lower," you close your eyes not wanting to see their reactions.
"Ok well done, good job, thank you for telling us Y/N," Felix said reassuringly.
"Now, is there anything else you can tell us?" Han asked steadily, and that was when you froze up even more.
Your thoughts were taking over and you began to feel scared again.
You grabbed onto your left wrist in hopes that it would help explain where else you were hurt, other than the obvious bruise painting your left eye black and blue.
"Ok, ok Y/N we're just gonna roll up that sleeve and then we can get a female staff member to help with your leg and back ok?" Chan said to you.
"No no no, no special attention, they'll be annoyed." You said, eyes wide open now and terrified.
Lee know immediately rubbed your back soothingly to try and calm you down but it wasn't working.
Meanwhile, Han was whispering to Hyunjin.
"This is what it was like when I was trying to get her to come in, she was saying similar things..."
"She's obviously scared of something or someone but I don't think she'll tell us" Hyunjin replied, hand on his chin in thought of what could have happened to the girl they all saw as their younger sister.
And as if timing couldn't have been any worse, the door opened wide and the two people you didn't want to see walked into the room. All their questions would soon be answered.
"Hey oppas can we have an extra dance practice?" Jia batted her eyelashes at Seungmin, who wrinkled his nose in disgust.
"Yeah we want to show you how good we are," Daesun smirked.
"You should not be in this room, this is an idol practice room, please leave," Bang Chan sternly told the two girls.
You tried to get out of Lee Know and Felix's arms in a state of panic, your flight response kicking in. The girls saw you as soon as you moved though.
"Yah why's that brat- I mean oh Y/N are you practicing too?" Jia tried to cover her tracks.
Knowing you couldn't stand up because the boys wouldn't let you leave you just gripped onto Han's hand in front of you.
"What did you just call her?" Changbin asked horrified.
"Oh nothing- you know what I can't keep this up anymore I can't carry on being nice to her when she's clearly seeking attention from you guys," Daesun said bitterly.
Being too used to her harsh tone you recoiled back into the sofa and sucked in a harsh breath.
"There's no way she's seeking attention from us, I'm more curious to why she's so scared of you," Han spoke up.
"I don't think you've been acting all that nice to her either" Jeongin pitched in, looking over at your small form which looked shaken up.
"Oh come on you can't seriously be taking her side?!" Daesun spat.
"Look at her, it's not just a matter of taking her side but it's obvious you're the reason why she's like this," Hyunjin said with his eyes wide, gesturing towards your bruises.
"You're her elders, you're mean to take care of her and help her in dance not make things worse for her," Lee Know said angrily, dance was his passion and he hated how you were struggling even more with it because of two other trainees.
"Oh forget about practice we'll just go now you're clearly occupied" Jia said rolling her eyes and walking away with Daesun following.
"Actually no, you'll be coming with us to JYP's office, then we'll see how much you really cared about practicing," Chan said, gesturing Seungmin Han and Hyunjin to follow him out the room.
The whole time you were distracted, looking at the floor trying to block out what was going on around you, still shaking and just waiting for everything to be over.
You felt someone rub your shoulder in effort to get your attention and saw Jeongin looking at you.
"How about we get you home huh?" He asked you gently.
You nodded lightly because it had been a stressful day and it was exhausting being confronted by the girls twice in one day.
You went to stand up with the help of Changbin and Felix but your back ached making you wince in pain.
"Ahhh" you hissed out.
The boys helped you sit back down.
From beside you Lee Know spoke up.
"Y/N how about just for your back at the moment we get one of the female assistants help you?" He asked, but you felt anxious of the thought of another older girl coming near so you shook your head rapidly.
"Ok ok ok, don't worry no one else will come in here then. How about we get a pain soothing cream and we leave you to apply it on your back?" He asked calming you down.
"Ok," you agreed to that and waited for it as Changbin rushed out to get it.
He came back in with it and with the other boys following behind too, returning from JYP's office and leaving the girls to face their boss's wrath.
You took it and looked at the boys expectantly.
"Ah sorry, we'll wait outside so no one else comes in and just let us know when we can come back in." Chan said.
You odded thankfully and waited for them to leave before applying the cream. You pulled up the back of your jumper whimpering slightly at the smallest movement, but you still managed to rub in the cream gently. After that you put the lid back on and called for the boys to come back in.
"Ok?" Felix said looking at you questioningly.
You simply nodded in response shuffling over so he could sit back down as well as Lee know and Han as they squeezed in too.
"At the moment the girls have been temporarily suspended from the company, obviously nothing can be done until they see you too and hear your side of the story too but we're not gonna put that pressure on you yet" Chan explained.
"We just want you to rest a bit and then when you're ready we'll be right by your side" Hyunjin said to you, looking deep into your eyes trying to read your emotions.
"Thank you guys, it means a lot that you've done this for me," you admit, taking in a deep breath.
"Of course, you're like our little sister, we couldn't just let that slide," Felix said warmly.
"Now, I think it's time we head home?" Changbin stated.
"Yeah, and Y/N is coming to stay with us" Jeongin said nodding at you, and nodded back indicating you were comfortable in doing that.
"Good, we'll take care of you and make sure you're ok," Han smiled reassuringly at you.
They never failed in looking after you, and of course they'd have to ask you more questions on the ins and outs of this later. But for now, they wanted to be able to keep an eye on you and make sure you're safe.

✿ Till Death Do Us Apart
Tumblr media
When Isagi married his childhood friend and the love of his life, he thought nothing could ever break him.
Tumblr media
February 12, 2010
Yoichi didn't appreciate not being able to play soccer. He was at school, and unfortunately, the rain wouldn't stop pouring. As he was daydreaming about dribbling past an opponent, he was suddenly interrupted by a shy and quiet voice.
"Hello, uhm... Can I borrow a pencil?"
He looked at you and immediately recognized your face. You were in the same class, but never talked much. Also, probably because of your illness that required you to skip school for most of the time. "Sure, here." As he reached for his pencil case and gave one to you, a little "thank you" was heard from you. And to him, that might've been the most adorable thing he's ever seen.
_________
September 23, 2014
Walking home from school has been his favorite thing since he met you. It has become a tradition for the both of you to stop by an ice cream store before going home, and the two of you are basically inseparable. Adults always say that him and you would often end up together. But be didn't understand that. Just because a girl and a boy were close, doesn't mean they have to be dating right?
But as he looks at you peacefully eating your ice cream, comes a sudden feeling in his chest. What is it? Why does he feel like this? He physically felt himself get red in the face and had to turn away before you saw him. God, how embarrassing!
"Yoichi, are you ok? Why do you look so red?" You ask, as you get concerned. He's not sick, is he?
"W-what, no.. I'm fine, just a little hot... that's all.." he stutters. Maybe the adults were right. Maybe, he did want to be more than friends.
_________
July 21, 2016
He stayed up all night, constantly practicing in front of his mirror on how to confess his feelings. God, why does it have to be so hard? He knows he's risking his friendship for this, but... Maybe it's worth a try.
Being sick since childhood was never a fun experience. You always miss out on a lot of things. And now, as you're out at the park with your best friend, Yoichi, you suddenly feel a wave of dizziness hit you.
Before falling, he catches you. And with the little bit of strength, you tried opening your eyes to see worry all over his face.
"Y/N? Y/N? hey, answer me!" Was the last thing you've heard before blacking out.
A few hours later, you woke up at the hospital bed. Feeling a little shaken, you looked around and saw your parents sitting beside your bed. "Y/N, dear? You're awake!" Your mom screams as she pulls you into a bone-crushing hug. "Mom... I'm ok.... Where's Yoichi?"
Suddenly, the door opens and he arrives. "Hey, Y/N, I'm so sorry... I should've looked out for you. I'm really sorry." He says as he bows down. "No! It's ok really, it's not your fault!" You say as your parents walked out of the room, to give you both space.
"Actually, the reason I took you out was to confess. I really like you, Y/N. For a very long time now. And I'm sorry that it's not exactly the time to confess now... But I thought you should know."
As he closes his eyes, preparing to receive the most painful rejection of his life, you suddenly smile. "I like you too, Yoichi."
_________
November 19, 2018
Your boyfriend has agreed to join on this Blue Lock project, and although not knowing much about soccer, you knew just how much he loved it.
"Are you sure you'll be fine? You'll be away for quite some time..."
"Don't worry, Y/N! I'll win this, don't worry. Oh, and don't forget about me while I'm gone!"
And just like that, he's away chasing his dreams. Now you might be a little dramatic, it'll just be for a few weeks, or months. Who knows? You haven't been away from each other this long. And although you feel sad, you also feel so much happiness in your heart seeing how your boyfriend makes his dreams come true.
_________
May 17, 2024
Despite his struggles at Blue Lock and going against world class players, he's never felt so nervous before. Hell, he's about to propose to the love of his life! No soccer match has ever made him this nervous before.
The table? Check. The flowers? Check? The night view? Check. The ring in his pocket? Check.
When you arrived at the place, everything started out normal. You ate, laughed, talked about normal stuff. What you failed to notice somehow is the nervous look in his eyes as you talk his ear off about one of your current interests.
Suddenly, before the date ends, he suddenly held your hand in his and looked at your eyes.
"Y/N, since the money I've met you and up to this very day, I don't think anyone or anything has made me happy as much as you did. You were always there to support me and I don't think I can ever spend another second of my life without making me yours."
Tears started to form in your eyes as he kneeled down and opened the small velvet box, revealing what might've been the most beautiful ring you've ever seen.
"So, will you marry me?"
You stay silent for a while before the tears start to completely fall as you tackle him to the ground. "Yes! Yoichi, Yes! A million times yes!" And god, that might've been the best night of his life.
_________
October 17, 2026
Being married to you has been the best moment of his life. But not when your illness suddenly came back stronger than it was before. You've been married to him for almost 2 years now, and your situation seems to only get worse.
"Dear, are you sure that you're alright?"
"I'm fine, Yoichi. Stop worrying so much."
Which was a lie, as you were everything but fine. After a doctor's appointment that revealed you only have less than a year to live, you didn't want to make your husband sad. You were going to make the final months of your life with him memorable without telling him the truth. You wouldn't be able to handle telling him that the love of his life only had a little time left.
_________
February 12, 2027
Death comes in at times that you don't expect. One moment, Yoichi was busy giggling and talking with his wife, and the next, he woke up to find her unresponsive next to him.
He felt empty. The moment the doctor's words truly sank in and realizing you were gone, he couldn't bring himself to even cry. Even at your wake, and at the funeral itself, he didn't shed a single tear.
Grief is a weird thing. One moment, he's trying to accept your death and another, he's breaking down while eating Kintsuba when he realizes he's slowly forgetting what your version tastes like.
Nothing truly hurts than losing someone you thought you would spend the rest of your life with.

12:37 am — gojo satoru; sashisu
gojo satoru refuses to drink his medicine…
reblog to help gojo get better
Tumblr media
out of everything you could call satoru, you think dramatic takes the top spot. so when you wake up in the middle of the night, you listen out for what could possibly have waken you up.
“koff! koff! UGH!” you recognized gojo’s voice from the dorm building behind yours.
oh my fucking god. you sighed. that morning, that idiot had to get sent to his dorm because he kept coughing every time yaga spoke. he sneezed and sniffled, so you assumed that he was actually ill and didn’t just decide to up his antics for no reason. besides, he was a little quieter than usual today.
you got up to put on a jacket and practically stomped to gojo’s dorm, where you were met with his open door and geto standing against the door frame.
“satoru, I told you the medicine wouldn’t be as effective later on.” geto sighed. you noticed his socks. they were pastel with characters on them. you ignored it to yell at who probably gave it to him.
“gojo! if you’re gonna cough just cough! you don’t have to yell after!” you said before sliding one of gojo’s slippers. there that idiot was, laying down faced up with arms stiff on his side and his comforter raised up to his chin. “are you playing dead?”
gojo groaned. “guys.” he sniffled. “I think this is it for me. suguru, I always loved you. y/n, I did steal your marshmallows last movie night. shoko—where’s shoko?” he looked up, illness suddenly voided for a second until shoko appears behind you. her dorm is a couple doors from yours after all. the snow-haired drama queen’s head fell back on his pillow and his sickness returned.
“eh, what?” she muttered to him before stepping inside. gojo started coughing again.
“are you contagious?” you asked before shifting away from gojo’s bed. geto took the medicine he got from gojo’s counter and placed it on the latter’s nightstand.
shoko walked over and sat on his bed. she placed her hand on gojo’s forehead before snickering. “you’re burning up. you really are gonna die.” she laughed.
you all chuckled, except gojo who whined again. “can’t you use reverse cursed technique on me shoookooo…”
“nope. I’ve only done it on physical injuries. why won’t you just drink the medicine?” she took the plastic little spoon and wiggled it to gojo’s face for emphasis.
gojo screwed his eyes shut and shook his head like a child. “don’t wanna.” if it wasn’t 12:37am on a school night you might’ve found it adorable.
“you might really die, satoru.” geto shot from the foot of gojo’s bed. he definitely woke up from his coughing and subsequent yelling, seeing as geto’s room is right next to gojo’s.
the next morning after your first class, the three of you gathered in the cafeteria and geto stirred up a plan.
“he’s probably not drinking it because he thinks it’s bitter.” you conclude.
suguru sipped on his tea. “ah, I know. that’s why I got the honey flavor version.”
“how are we gonna force him to drink it? it’s not like we can force feed it to him.” shoko shook her lollipop. you were just glad it wasn’t a cigarette.
“he’ll just turn on his infinity. I think we have to ambush him.” you laughed at the image.
“geto, summon a cursed spirit to hold him down.” shoko joked.
the cold breeze practically slapped you while walking to the dorms. geto was sure your victim was still asleep. he had the spare key when you thought to take off your shoes for maximum stealth. the two followed.
geto stood in front of the door to block the light while you and shoko slithered in. it was dark except for the nightlight by satoru’s night stand. you could make out the important things. the untouched medicine, and gojo sprawled over his bed under his sheets. he faced the left side cuddling a pillow. tissues filled the trash can dragged by his bed and some on the floor. poor kid.
geto tiptoed to the other side of the bed where satoru was faced while shoko prepared the poison. you got in position across geto and stifled a laugh at shoko trying to break the seal as quiet as possible. she tiptoed next to you and nodded to geto.
“satoru” geto called out. “satoru, wake up.”
“sugu…” gojo whined. he didn’t open his eyes. geto gestured for the syrup-filled spoon. shoko handed it to him promptly and again, you stifled a laugh at your plan.
“satoru-kun. aaah,” geto opened his mouth. geto using “-kun” was too funny.
surprisingly, satoru opened his mouth slightly too. what the hell? this wasn’t even part of the plan. suguru took the spoon to satoru’s mouth.
shit, it would probably just spill out with the way he was faced, you realized. you lunged to push satoru’s shoulder to the right so that he would face up. you decided him choking on it was better than it spilling. because that way it would at least get in his mouth.
gojo woke up. he made eye contact with you and immediately tried to get up. he moved his hand to push yours off but you held his shoulders down with your weight and geto got all the syrup in.
“MMGHFHG!” gojo yelled with his mouth closed. he struggled against you, and you gave it 5 seconds before his strength took over and even less before he activated infinity.
“geto!” you called and he took over your hold on sicko’s shoulders.
gojo started kicking, and you straddled his shins.
“swallow!” geto exclaimed as gojo tried to push his hands off. shit, this wouldn’t work.
“geto! get on!” you yelled and geto straddled gojo’s stomach.
“swallow it!” suguru grabbed gojo’s arms and held them against the bed by his head.
“HHNGNGGHH!” satoru shook his head.
“satoru! it’s honey flavored!” geto argued.
shoko laughed and you heard her camera shutter. she stood far enough to snap a picture and you realized what it looked like. you were straddling gojo’s calves while suguru was straddling gojo’s, uh… lower stomach with his hands pinned by his head.
then, as if on queue, the door opened. your heads snapped to the door and you saw your sweet (to you, at least) junior nanami for about .7 seconds before the door closed again.
you flew off of gojo’s calves. “nanami! wait!”
