au/fix where the sabretooth that gets sent down to the pit and does the sabretooth war stuff is uhmmm just a clone. its the clone plot again. for the 3rd time.
i mean im kinda torn on this since sabretooth 2022 + sabretooth and the exiles did have some good moments. its just the ending and everything that happened after that was. weird. and off.
so maybe before the pit, the clone was doing some Evil clone stuff, but being in the pit triggered some genuine memories for the clone, allowing for it to have a brief period of victors actual self. then, by the end of sabretooth and the exiles, that wore off, and he reverted back to normal Evil clone. that would also give a good reason for the brief moments in sabretooth war that felt ‘real’ being at the same time he was remembering things, his actual self slipping through again. fuck now im feeling kinda bad for this hypothetical sabretooth clone…..
meanwhile, the real sabretooth(inverted) is chilling at home, watching this go down from the outside. cuz like, lets be real, his friends wouldnt just leave him in that reverted state at the end of weapon x 2017. they would absolutely kick some ass in order to get him back to normal. and i bet it was weird for him to hear about the graydon thing too, seeing as hes now got a solid relationship with his own graydon.
oh. and ben percys wolverine is totally a clone too. cuz he just seems so different from the wolverine in infinity watch.
and the real ones are definitely living together.
anyway, extra -> tbh the whole percy run feels like an au to me. mostly due to the way both of their memories are handled, wolverines especially, as shown in x lives / x deaths. its a mashup of a bunch of different wolverine runs, but with the authors own spin on them.
its kinda representative how every new wolverine run is like their own au, each author taking bits and pieces of canon as needed, but also slightly rewriting them to fit their personal take. bit like a game of telephone, plot points getting forgotten over time as new authors dont bring them along, and other authors ideas getting remixed. especially in the earlier days, when runs were way longer, plot points getting abandoned in their own run.
a good example of this comes from return of wolverine and infinity watch, which are both considered ‘canon’, but due to their length are never referenced again. and even though infinity watch is an immediate sequel to return of wolverine, the concept introduced in that run where wolverine has all the different versions and variants of wolverine in his head wasnt ever mentioned.
its like the previous stories set up new plots only for the future ones to drop them. like how weapon x 2017s ending of sabretooth being reverted back to a ‘feral’ state never gets elaborated on later, despite seeming like something that would lead into a new arc.
all different stories, all somehow labeled as canon.

finally finished the boring ass book i was reading 🫠
#the book i read before this one i really enjoyed#so i was excited thinking maybe i was finally getting out of my reading slump#but then this book pushed me right back into one#i really didn’t like it at all and it was so boring i was actively putting off reading it#and i try not to pick up a new book if im in the middle of one already cause then ill be reading like ten books#and i get them confused and instead of finishing any i just keep starting new ones it’s a whole mess#but since i was avoiding reading this book i just wasn’t reading at all :(#i guess i could have dnf’d it but i try to avoid doing that if i can#not that i think there’s anything wrong with dropping a book#but unless i truly just cannot bear to read a book anymore i try to finish it#because unfortunately it’s important to read bad books sometimes too#ofc if a book is actively unenjoyable for me ill dnf it. but if it’s just really boring i try and finish it#anywayssss im sleepy and idk what book to read next#snow.txt

i also think the fact that i had such a stunted and isolated upbringing and now that im an adult all my friends are on atypical life paths (and honestly even my friends as a kid were like this too) means i find things that are usually very common life stages really interesting. like knowing someone who has a house and a wife and 2 kids (with that wife) and a job with a salary feels like meeting fucking paul bunyun to me. or hearing the kids i work with talk about graduating high school and going to college and being on a real path with that stuff is neat? or even sometimes knowing cis/het people who are like going thru that coming of age stuff that i never really experienced the way you see it in the movies bc of transness/queerness/neurodivergence. its like woah they said the name of the thing in the thing. do u know what i mean???
#this actually reminds me of one of the girls at work whose been here for 2 yrs so i feel like im watching her grow up#shes graduating hs this year and shes really smart and she always asks questions like this#like picking ur brain about your life like 'what did you feel like growing up how was your family' etc#its kinda cool#she already got a degree bc of dual credit courses and an internship lined up and im so proud of her#and theres another girl her same age who came to me last night telling me her situationship just broke her heart#and they were both talking all about their prom dresses and all that stuff and were so excited last month#like idk i guess i just find it endearing#i think part of it is also that while these specific paths are thought of as common/default#there really is so much variance in life and really truly so many people not on those paths for so many reasons#which actually does loop around to making it seem strange#like truly how many people do you really know anymore who stayed at 1 job until they rose the ranks#who got married and had kids with that person and now they live in a house in the suburbs with some dogs and cats#like who does that anymore#meanwhile i think its just cool seeing kids actually experiencing growing up but in retrospect and not as a peer feeling confused & jealous#like woah youre a girl buying a dress and getting her hair done and texting a boy thats so wild ive never done that#or woah youre taking courses to prepare for college and know what degree youre going for#i no longer feel resentment that i felt left behind during all that shit when i was a teenager#im just happy for them and proud of them

With these, 50 Aesthetics complete! These are Adventurecore, Spacecore, Bohemian, and Junglecore.
#aesthetics#Adventurecore is kind of vague and confusing in the sense that it sounds a lot like Gorpcore#'You want to look like you can just go on an adventure at any time'#'Very practical and comfortable'#I thought about it a bit and decided to figure out a way to differentiate#Decided to go for the vibe of a modern fairy tale protagonist who has to keep to the path and deal with random talking animals#You could do a stroll through the woods in this maybe or do some casual fishing#I went for the angle that the person was unexpectedly plunged into a weird situation and isn't perfectly prepared lol#Monochrome is because I think it adds a bit to the out-of-place vibe + I think it's stylish#Spacecore I tried very hard to set apart from Aliencore as a whole plush notwithstanding#Bohemian I wanted to make another/more obvious orange design and this aesthetic felt the most distinct from others I've done already#It was the last one I picked and I struggled a bit with what I'd do there#Considered Arcadecore and Old Money but Arcadecore felt more similar to others I'd done#While Old Money felt like a less interesting version of Academias or Nautical#It's basically preppy with a few extra steps and kind of vague guidelines#Junglecore technically has two possible angles that are not similar at all lol#One was 'you are a Western explorer in khakis and a safari hat' while the other was 'you're covered in jungle imagery/iconography'#Weirdly most people seemed to be doing the first angle while I haven't encountered the second much#I wanted to do a deep green design and I love animals a lot so went that route#And it was fun making a clear separation from tropical tbh#I considered Coconut Girl but have a lot of ocean looks already and I wasn't sure if it would stand out or be versatile enough#There are over 300 aesthetics so definitely didn't do them all haha and there might be some that are very distinct that I wasn't aware of#If you have reached this point gold star for commitment! ;P

My infatuation & subsequent obsession with media is often tied to the ways in which I am incapable of talking about them. Whether it's because of the abhorrent contents therein which demand too much; the incomprehensible nature of my feelings on the matter; the shoddy & underbaked construction; no matter what, there is always something within all my beloved interests make them hard (or even impossible) to talk about. Instead, I talk within myself in an endless echo of speculation & alteration, as a means to replicate the sounds of a room that is not so empty. I, on my own, (no matter how many of me I am in the moment,) will never be able to fully encapsulate the sounds of a room brimming with people, though, so I double down & try to chatter more, to make up my impossible deficit.

I can't reccomend it to people because what's worth loving is found more in conversations you need to already#have a starting amount of knowledge on & there's no real means of being introduced into it if you have decent standards#i love blackjack. it was made in the 70s & it has SO many problems in it & it's good that that shit isn't perpetuated by a living fandom#but i still like it & i still wish i could talk about it#i love. post shift 2. the encyclopedic nature of its tutorials & odd mechanics are the very draw that make it so compelling to me#but to my knowledge are not made intentionally so -- they are overwhelming because a dev worked with these ideas for 4 years#until they no longer seemed hard to grasp to him & he simply couldn't see how intensive the draw is on somebody outside his own mind#until fnyaf fans clammored around this game he made & lauded it as a trainwreck until he quietly gave it away#to someone else to fix in his stead because he no longer trusted himself to make it into what people wanted.#picking apart the text was not an intended as a challenge but as a fellow bitch that fails to communicate#that requires a certain amount of looking behind or around words to be understood#i find the confusing way some of these details are transcribed to be so incredibly human.#but i see & understand why people hate the tutorials. i just think they have a different definition of fun than i do.#idk. Freddy's fans will sit down & digest like. midnight motorist or some shite but not night 1 ps2? why?
