Cahira is a hot-headed, prideful hunter. They're always on the lookout for their next prey, if they aren't already chasing them down for who knows how long. Unlike most piglins, they don't care for gold so much. Rather, they live for the thrill of the hunt. The joy of accomplishment. If anyone were to get in their way, they'd better be prepared for a hard smack to the head. Despite this hardy demeanor, they try to look out for the little guy in this harsh, cruel world where society must favor the strong. It's what they would've wanted sooner. Regardless, they are content in this place they call home. They have no real desire to leave. No reason to go... right?

Do you think you could make a full alphabet for Gruntish? Im a technoblade alter and would like to be able to speak a language similar to the one I grew up with and gruntish is very close to it.

sure thing! with the Piglin language, its mostly sounds and noises. so the alphabet is relatively similar, just pronounced differently. im not a linguist at all, but i’ll give it a shot here!

Letters that sound like each other are the same, for example:

C= K

E= A

I= U

N= M

Q= K

V= U

Z= S

Letters that end in soft sounding consonants are replaced with harsher sounds, for example:

With the word Piglin, I is replaced with U. It should be Puglum, but since Piglins don’t end their words softly, they replace the M with a K. Thus, Pugluk.

The double U consonant (not to be confused with the W) makes an ‘ooh’ sound. this letter is usually used to denote a noun, but not a proper noun. Kruuk is the word for mother, but Kruk is the name a child would use to refer to it’s mom. Pugluk refers to the general population, but if you were to refer to another person as a piglin, you would probably use Pugluuk.

Pronunciations of the alphabet are as follows:

A- Ah

B- Buh

D- Deh

F- Feh

G- Guh

H- Huh

J- Jay

K- Keh

L- La

M- Muh

O- Oh

P- Peh

R- Er

S- Set

T- Tet

Thinking about the vibes of Minecraft's antagonist groups...

Illagers are evil, but human evil. They're a cult in distant strongholds, a vendetta against a severed kin, creatures trapped in cages for who knows what ends. They're tribalism, pride, desire overstepping morality, lust for power, lust for knowledge, lust for wealth. They're the grumbling soldier, the scowling hatchet-man, the monologuing mastermind, the sorcerer sneering from his throne.

Undead are evil, inhuman evil. They are mindless, relentless, merciless. There is no thought or conscience behind those empty eyes, just the drive to make life end. They are death, and death follows with them. They are the groaning horde of corpses, the keening spirit, the grim avatar of death.

Piglins are the barbarians, a hard people from a hard land. They are not your friends, but neither are they inherently your foe. They are hardened survivors, huddling in ruins of a past glory or scraping by a living in the wilds, defending their land from those coming from outside. Their desire is the companionship of the tribe, the sweet smell of meat after a hunt, and the lovely gleam of gold. They are the barbarian chief, the cunning trapper in the wild, the berserker red with glory.

Endermen are alien. They seek no goals we can perceive, wander lonely in the night on what might be aeons-spanning missions or the passing whims of chance. They follow fair rules, but their rules are alien. They will pass you by and seek no harm, but will not suffer eyes on them as they do their work. They are the half-seen monster in the night, the quiet figure by your window, the fey people of the otherworld.

They'll attack you only if you attack them or if you break their societal rules (not wearing gold/breaking golden blocks around them)

They're not mindless monsters.

Piglin strider outfit!

The outfit is all blues/ blue-greens so that piglins are always visible above lava and all clothes are enchanted with fire protection and doused in potion of fire resistance

The piglin thing really is my biggest problem with the movie (and Legends too ftr)

Like it doesn't look like it's gonna be good in general either, but I'd probably be more amused than annoyed

But interpreting the piglins as evil is just such bad vibes, it's a bad narrative. Intentional or not, it frankly feels like an excuse to kill them and plunder their homes because they have valuables we (players) want

Sorry but we're the bad guys here, we're the ones invading their lands and their homes and stealing their shit. That's bad guy behaviour. The piglins aren't invading the overworld to kill and rob everybody, it's the other way around. This is literally just projecting

(And yes, this is pretty much how colonialism worked too: invade a land, rob everything you can carry, then villainise the locals when they get mad at you and try to chase you out, then use that to justify killing them and taking over the land, and finally you transform the land to fit your purposes and call it progress)

I mean it's kinda unfortunate that the game very much encourages this kind of behaviour. Like I'm not canceling Minecraft or anything but it's worth thinking about. You literally can't barter for the netherite template, you either rob the piglins or you don't get one, so the game incentivises you to become a robber, and then you justify yourself by claiming that it's okay because the piglins are trying to kill you (for invading their home and robbing them) and they were probably just being greedy anyway (not like you, you're just entitled to own everything of course)

idk, I don't wanna be a killjoy because raiding bastions is actually really fun. I'm just saying, if you're gonna be a bad guy just accept that you're the bad guy, don't try to shift the blame
