But for real the original things I looked up referred to him as a robot, so I hadn't looked much further than that since I am still doing deeper analysis on characters anatomy.

If this is true then it is a cyborg and will be disqualified from being in the poll. It is under one more stage of consideration still though. If it shows active distain for it's human parts, even to downright refusal to think of or refer to them It almost feels rude to call it a cyborg. (But maybe I'm just getting sympathetic seeing his name so often, since he can't actually know.)

I've also noticed that when I search cyborg next to it's name a lot of them throw technically in the front and still use robot regularly after saying it.

(Also guys this is starting to make me think a cyborg poll needs to come to life fr. That knife wielding plant and Murderbot clearly need to get in A ring.)

@seolh You are 100% correct! I felt like the show runners did really like her, but they didn't know what to do with her which is a shame.

Wolverine and the X-Men might not be a favorite show of me with any favorite interpretations of character personalities, but it did a really fantastic job utilizing Kitty's powers and that was really freaking cool!

Also today they could rightfully make her bisexual and bring Danielle back as her girlfriend. And obviously the show would have to have some queer solidarity and the lesbian Amara becomes a good friend and they hang out a lot! 😅

I will say I honestly go by weight when it comes to armor. I like to be as quick as possible, I don't understand the people who willingly move like molasses in game with their heavy armor. Gotta go fast.

i had a thought of "do people not know what AUs are anymore?" and then i remembered nobody explains fandom stuff to new people anymore so it is entirely plausible people genuinely don't know what AUs are and nobody has explained it to them, so for today's lucky 10,000:

"AU" stands for "Alternate Universe" or "Alternative Universe" (same difference) and is basically any thought scenario for a fandom that isn't canon and can't fit within the canon universe. If it takes place in the canon universe but something is notably different, that is typically what's known as a "Canon divergent AU," because it diverges from canon.

an AU can be absolutely anything. There's a couple of widespread pan-fandom au scenarios that often get thrown around, like coffee shop aus, genderbend aus, hanahaki aus (hanahaki is a whole thing in itself i'd recommend researching on your own), etc. One you might hear sometimes is "crossover AU" which is when you have characters from one fandom interacting with characters from another.

You can have as many aus as you want. They can be whatever you want and you can do whatever you want in them. It's a sandbox for you to play around in and explore how things would be different or how the characters would act in those circumstances or environments. Maybe they have different relationships with each other. Maybe they behave slightly differently. Or you can just say "Okay, [x] is true. How did they get here? How would things have to be different for this to occur?" which can also be fun.

If you are ever confused about why people ship something that seems completely out of the blue or doesn't make sense to you in the canon setting, there's a good chance they like it in an AU setting! Not everything everybody is interacting with is necessarily the canon! Not everybody wants things to exist in canon and just want to explore playing dolls in a different sandbox and that's okay. And their sandbox might look a lot different than yours, and that's also okay. You have the freedom to make your sandbox whatever you please. Do whatever you want forever. Get funky with it. AUs are fun.

And with that, the tournament comes to a close! A big thanks to everyone who submitted ships, a hearty thumbs up to all the ships who participated, and a bit of an update as to what comes next:

...Honestly, I am not sure! I'd love to do a Loser's Bracket at some point, and perhaps even consider doing a season two of this tournament at some point in the future. HOWEVER, as fun as this tournament was, it was also a HUGE undertaking for me personally. Even with all the lovely help from artists submitting pictures for their ships, it was still a lot of work.

BUT! I will not completely turn down either idea at the moment, and I won't officially say that this blog will go into retirement/become an archive just yet. However, for the time being, I will be taking a break. Hopefully soon, I can come back for either idea listed above.

In the meantime, another thanks to everyone who participated, and another hearty congratulations to our winners! Hopefully we will be back soon with more crossover fun!
