And dndjfnd you and me giving each other fantastic compliments!! I'm gonna start claiming myself as a irl magical girl ehehe. But also you as a mermaid would be so much fun!! Maybe you can try that out next May? 👀 or maybe an AU where Quay is a mermaid ahaha <33
Hiya Yu! I hope you're well. May this Pride treat you well and may you be kept safe and happy 🫶🏾🩷🩷🩷
For trademark: honestly? Aquatic critters!!! You're so merbeing core to me rjdjd, if not that I think of your cosplays or how you share thoughts on wuwa 🥰
Hey, Nimo! You as well! Happy Pride 🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️ I hope it's a great month!
Eyy that's such a compliment 🤣 There's definitely a reason marine biology was my favorite class. I can't go without my aquatic critters, my seafood, and my beach time 🌊🧜10/10 would spend my entire life underwater given the opportunity. Cosplay and WuWa are great, too! Two of my favorite things.
HMMM I think your trademark is magical girls and your colorful art style. 🕺✨
#chatting with friends#yu#yupuffin#also awww thank you!! I'm so happy my art style is also a trademark + you finding it so colourful ehehe#for the au my brain went 'Quay as a mermaid and Mortefi as the marine biologist who comes across him!!'#it can be Lil Mermaid but Mortefi isn't Prince Eric but just a Dude with a Degree sjndsjn#ALSO IMAGINE CULTURAL EXCHANGE BETWEEN THEM??#I am getting carried away sjdnjd

ive been reading the ffxv japanese translations and ive been taking notes as usual. take a peek if you'd like (this shit is not proof read, this came straight from the dome)
--ch 1:
♡the way regis speaks to noctis is so informal compared to eng...hes very close i feel
♡"Prompto: Ah, they sell Ebony here. Ignis will be happy"---prompto is so considerate bruh. its so sweet that he had an eye out for things ignis likes. it says something to have someone remember things about you....prompto has the fattest crush on ignis i can smell it
♡prompto is so cute omg: "Hooray. Just one more!" he says after their second fight with a herd
♡dave asked for assistance in hunting down the last of the varmin in the area and there are three options: 1. do it for free. 2. do it for a price--2AP. and 3.ask my friends--150. the response for the second option is so awkward, noctis says: alright we'll do it...um the reward? AND THEN THE THIRD OPTION HAS IGNIS saying: It’s dangerous if we leave as it is. Tell us more about it......its so funny that ignis is very "he asked for no pickles on his burger" coded, speaking up for noctis
♡boys are very gun-ho/very impulsive...gladio had to hold the boys back before they attacked the infected dualhorn...very dad coded i love that for him
♡boys trying to figure out whos going to drive the car after its repairs... noctis is funny as hell. prompto said that he wasnt confident in his driving and noctis said:"im confident i will break the car again"...hes truly a passenger princess and i love it. a very self aware passanger princess
♡noctis is such a bro...he hears prompto wants to visit cindy in the future and he offers for him to borrow the regalia
♡ignis isnt saying his signature puns bruh...umbra came with the notebook and all ignis has to say is that hes a reliable messenger WHILE ENGLISH IGNIS SAYS THAT UMBRA "certainly nose how to find us"
♡ahhh noctis is blushing when gladio puts him on the spot about wanting the marriage and prompto fucking calls it out too omg
♡gladio saying he wants to go for a dip in galdin quay makes me think of him dressing up as a mermaid for a party with the tail and pearls and everything...omg he does a little mermaid performance for iris's birthday b/c like any little girl she had a mermaid phase and he didnt want to disappoint his baby sister 😭 omg gladio i love you
♡with all the uncle ardyn fics ive read i find it really funny that during their first encounter arydn flicks the coin at the boys and says: "consider it your allowance"...arydn would be that uncle that pulls out a whole roll of 20s and 50s and 100s but then hand you a fucking dollar and say dont spend it all in one place...hes such an asshole😭
♡noctis is so cute bruh, he defo pegs me as a boy lacking in life experiences because he was all starry eyed when the zuzu flew away and said: "whoa, so magnificent", hes such a dork i fucking love him omg
♡the boys just called prompto a personality hire without substance when they were comparing him to dino
♡you know whats fucked up, everyone in the group had lost someone following the attack but we dont get a second to think about. yea noctis lost his father but the boys have all lost people, have all lost their homes...fuck gladios father died in action. ignis' uncle possibily died in action too. prompto's family situation is difficult but we can assume that his parents were lost in the casualty
♡never noticed that this is probably the first time the boys see magitek troopers. it sounds like they know of them though (prob royal personel collected information about nifilheim tech---giving very cold war vibes ngl) gladio says: "so these are MTs
♡ end of the chapter gives us radio announcements and theres a segment talking about noctis: " He’s a calm person with a very gentle heart who loves animals and nature" --- now who the hell is telling them this. it gotta be regis wanting to gush about his boy "And he’s also very serious, well-behaved, and always a top-scorer student." ---i had no idea he did well academically bruh. i cant help but imagine the effort it would have taken for him to be such an honor student, not only from noctis but from the boys too. how many late nights did he and the boys have to make sure he passed tests...ignis and gladio are very older siblings parenting their younger siblings coded and im so fucking sick "On his day off, he seems to be doing community service to helps citizens." ---- NOW WHY THE FUCK DIDNT I KNOW NOCTIS HAD DONE COMMUNITY SERVICE, HE WAS REALLY THE PEOPLES PRINCE I HADNT KNOWN OMG HE WAS THE MALE PRINCESS DIANA IM FUCKING THROWING UP OMG MY SWEET BOY I LOVE HIM SO MUCH

𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐨𝐭𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫: 𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐜𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 '𝐀𝐁𝐄𝐘𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄'
. even though charlotte is a muggle-born witch, the sorting hat had considering placing the girl in slytherin and not gryffindor. charlotte had an ambition for everything she sought out for, along with her determination, no matter what task or problem was thrown at her, she has always been able to fight through it and find a soloution. but int he end it was her bravery, courage and unfortunately her recklessness that had her placed into the house of the lion. gryffindor she belonged in.
. growing up as a muggle, in a muggle town and muggle orphanage all there was to read and listen to was muggle produced pieces of art and literature. the book she still carried on her person to this day is her copy of 'The Princess Bride' she had re-read the book that many times that the binding was fragile and some of the pages were starting the crack at the seems. during her time at the orphanage in mermaid quay, it had been the only thing to bring her out of the reality of the hell she had been living in.
. during her fifth year she had asked remus lupin to adopt her. during her third year when remus was the dada professor the two had grown close, the professor being the only 'father' figure she had even known or had... she never got to properly meet her parents. remus had been aprehensive at first, but he did truly care about the girl like she was his own daughter. it had given him another sense of prupose. remus had to really think about it for a few weeks. and as her sixteenth birthday present had given her signed adoption papers.
. her first patronus was a thestral, the girl had found out what it was when she helped save sirius during their third year. her patronus was thestral partly because she had seen her parents be killed when she was an infant. that memory had been the only memory she had with her parents, it was neither good or bad. it had just been the only memory she could use that could help produce the patronus.
. since day one she has always been harry's biggest supporter, even with the stupid things he has done over the years. she stood by him when sirius black escaped from azkaban. she was the only person who believed him that he did not put his name in the goblet of fire, she had believed him that cedric had been killed by voldemort etc. she has been the only person to never leave him.
. she had hoped that harry would've asked her to the yule ball, she was more than disapointed when he did not. that had been the only time in the time that they had known one another that she had been avioding him delibretly. when fred had asked her to go, she had hoped it would make harry relaise that he wanted to go with her- so when he still did not ask she went with fred... their relationship developing into something more platonic.
. after the battle of the department of mysteries at the ministry of magic, charlotte never wore short sleevs around anyone again- not even in her own dormitory. during the battle at the minsitry herself and ron had been attacked by the brains in one of the many rooms, her shoulders, neck, chest and back had been scared deeply by the brains tentecles. even when herself and harry were daiting, it took her almost a year before she had allowed herself to be intimate with harry,

Chapter Three (Part 2)
In the laundrette later on, as we wait for our clothes to finish their cycle, Claire holds my hand in hers. “There’s no pressure to do anything you don’t want to.” She says softly, and I know that among the whirr of the washing machines only I can hear her. “And if you ever want to back out of anything, I’ll be here for you.” She means well, but it sounds to me like she’s also more or less decided that I’m going to go and talk to Liam tonight. There is a rock in my stomach and I don’t feel like talking about this anymore.
When our clothes are finished, we haul them back to the mobile home together and hang it all up on the washing line outside. I notice straight away that Kelly and Claires’ underwear is different from mine. Every pair of knickers that I pull out of the washing basket is small and sexy, all with lace trims in pretty feminine colours like pale pink and cream and lilac. My underwear comes from a multipack at the supermarket and every one of them has a childish little rosette on the front. I cringe as Kelly pulls an ancient pair of mine out of the pile. I’ve had them for way too long. They’re mint coloured with a frilly trim and a decal of The Little Mermaid on the side, and they look ridiculous on the line next to the lacy pairs that she owns.
She pegs them up and then takes a step back to behold them. “Easy to tell who the virgin of the group is.” She says.
Later on in the pub by the quay, Kelly buys drinks for the table. She’s the only one of us girls who can, so we usually depend on her totally. We are perched on hard benches around an old wooden table; Kelly, Claire, Liam and me. He and I are sitting next to each other, and I’m trying not to look at him for too many long periods just in case he can somehow tell from looking in my eyes that we were talking about him earlier.
Kelly has bought me a Malibu and pineapple juice. It’s my favourite, and it feels perfect for days on the beach like these. None of us have been up to sing karaoke yet, the night is young and I know that many more drinks will have to flow before we get to that point. Everyone is listening to Liam talk about his choices for college next year.
“My first choice is agricultural and food sciences in UCD” He tells us “After that I put down business in GMIT and english and history in UL. I don’t know, I couldn’t really think of anything else. I don’t expect to get the highest points in the Leaving so… I suppose I’ll leave it to chance and take whatever I get.”
“Would you not do something related to the sea?” Claire wants to know. “Like, Ocean Science or whatever you call it. I feel like that’d suit you”
“Marine Sciences in Galway is over four-fifty points, I don’t think I’ll get that.” He thoughtfully takes a sip from his pint. “Sure I don’t know, we’ll see. Not long now until the results…”
I shudder at the thought of doing my Leaving Cert. This will be me a year from now, papers all completed, living in limbo between exams and results, my whole future hinging on that one piece of paper. I can’t imagine how it must feel then, sitting there waiting for college offers to come in. Where will I be living in a month from then? What direction will my life be taking? I feel I would spontaneously combust with the pressure.
“Any of you thought about what you’d like to do after school?” Liam asks the table, and Kelly shrugs. “Haven’t thought about it. Nursing maybe.” She gestures to me before she drinks her vodka and blackcurrant. “Evie will do art “though. She’s great at drawing.”
Liam turns to me. “Really?”
I shrug “I like drawing, I’m not really sure if i’m good though. Don’t know if I’d get into college with it.”
“Aw, I’d say you’re great.”
“She is great.” Claire chimes in “She’s always drawing in her sketchbook and I’ve sneaked a look at a couple of pages. Like when she draws something it really looks the way it looks in real life. You know what I mean?”
“I’m a terrible artist” says Liam “So I feel very impressed when someone can do it well. You should have brought your sketchbook to the pub! Could have done a drawing for us.”
I laugh and shake my head. “I don’t know, I think you’d be disappointed, I’m really not that good.”
“Would you say it’s like your dream job to be an artist?”
“Maybe… ‘artist’ feels like such a broad term though. Like, best case scenario I’d like to be some kind of designer. I really haven’t put thought into it yet.” I shrug. “Something to think about next year I suppose.”
“You’re already the best artist in our year.” Kelly says. You’ll get into any college you want to, just have confidence.” She’s fidgeting in her seat now and seems to be bored with the conversation. She turns around to look up at the karaoke booth. “Should I do a song, lads?” We tell her that she should, and without hesitation she marches to the top of the room to look through the booklet of songs. Claire has to go to the bathroom then too and bounces away, leaving Liam and I alone.
“I think it’s really cool when someone knows what they want to do at college.” He says to me, continuing on from before “And I’m sure the girls are right, I bet you really are a good artist.”
I smile. “How would you know that?”
“You just seem like the kind of person, I don’t know how to explain it really. It’s like… it’s always the quiet girls who are secretly the best at things.”
“You might be wrong, I could be quiet and really crap at everything.”
“Definitely not true.”
“Hm.”
“You should bring your sketchbook with you the next time you pass by the surf shack. I’d really love to have a look at your drawings.”
I nod, but I know that I’ll never do that. I imagine how it would go; me awkwardly interrupting Liam’s surf lessons with the children and shoving my dog-eared sketchbook in his face. ‘Look’ I’ll say ‘my sketches that you asked for, aren’t they good?’ I cringe so much at the imaginary scenario that I have to physically shake myself out of it.
“Are you cold?” He asks me then, and I shake my head. “No, I just got a shiver up my spine.”
“My granny would say that means someone is talking about you.”
“Trust me Liam, nobody is talking about me.”

Just tell us what every Torchwoods member favourite bar is!
And where Jack and Ianto love to go on dates multiple times.
And where Tosh would love to go with Owen for a Date!
(Disclaimer that I was not of legal drinking age when Torchwood was airing and therefore don't have a particularly good knowledge of the early 2000s Cardiff scene, so will be partially substituting it with what I think they'd like today as well.)
Ianto is a Fuel fan. Half of that man's pay-check goes on the digital jukebox, and he will pay extra to fast-track all of his songs and make everyone else listen to the most obscure and off-the-wall rock and metal bullshit. I feel like he'd also appreciate a good live music venue, and I'm thinking The Moon more than something like Brewhouse. The Owain only does live music on Fridays, but I think you'd find him there on the occasional Thursday doing the quiz.
Now listen, I love Gwen. I do, okay? I love her, and I hate to admit it, but you'd find her in a Popworld. You would absolutely find her on the dancefloor in Popworld. Do I think she'd buy too much of the shitty merch? I do. I absolutely do. She's got about 12 Popworld branded ducks scattered around her flat. The music has permanently damaged her hearing. She's having a great time.
He's not a Torchwood team member as such but Andy would love Roxy Lanes. He'd absolutely fucking love Roxy Lanes. Give this man a cocktail and stick him in the batting cages. Let him play shuffleboard, watch him accidentally launch a bowling ball into the wrong lane. Actually I think he'd love any of the clubs where you can play games, be it something physical like Roxy Lanes and Golf Fang, or the arcade machines in NQ64. I'm also very tempted to say that he'd like Ballie Ballerson, but I think that's just wishful thinking. This man has seen The Horrors, let him in the ball pit.
Owen I think would like Ten Mill Lane. Maybe like is the wrong word actually but I do think that's probably where you'd find him. Probably not on the dancefloor though. I don't know why I've picked Ten Mill because it's not wholly in character for him, but I can just feel it in my soul. I have just realised I've been primarily listing nightclubs and not bars, but it's fine. We're fine. I think him and Tosh would go on a date to The Alchemist. I think they'd both enjoy it, because they're both pretty nerdy in that way. (For those unfamiliar, The Alchemist is a cocktail bar and restaurant where some the drinks are science-themed. They've got drinks that change colour and they do things with like, dry ice and fire and they serve them in test-tubes and distilling flasks and it's very expensive but very cool.)
I kind of don't have Tosh pinned as a nightclub person, I'm gonna be super honest with you. So again I think something like The Alchemist or The Botanist. There's a Wetherspoons in Mermaid Quay which I think would get a lot of use from all of them tbh. She'd probably also like NQ64 to be fair. I want to say one of them would like Heidi's because that's our go-to on nights out but also I can't decide which of them would like Heidi's so I guess I'm gonna give that to Tosh. But she'd definitely join Ianto in The Owain on quiz night.
I 1000% do not have Jack pinned as a nightclub guy, I do think he'd probably pick a local that's not actually local to him, somewhere like the Andrew Buchan or the Albany. I know most Spoons are kinda technically independents but I don't have him down as a Spoons guy, he'd be like a proper old man and only go to actual locals. I think he'd take Ianto on dates to The Owain, it does good food and the drink aren't too bad price-wise. They'd do the quiz, they'd probably half pay attention to the sports and Ianto would complain about the quality of the coffee machine but still order a latte with his dinner.
#torchwood#im insanely tired so i dunno man take this i guess#also i have at one point worked at more than one of the venues listed above - can you work out which?

Travelling west to the country of Wales
My partner and I usually celebrate special occasions by travelling. The end of June marks my birthday and we decided to travel all the way to the capital city of Wales, Cardiff.

We arrived mid-day and as I'm writing this down in 2024, I'm trying to remember if we did have an itinerary for our two and a half days that we were there for but I really couldn't. It being my birthday, we obviously started with a nice café for brunch. I was definitely very much pleased with the one we found — the Coffee Barker.

It's a charming café by day and then a buzzing bar at night. We already spent most of our morning there and I admittedly have taken way too many photos. A guilty pleasure, indeed. I would come back here every day if I could, honestly.

After some good few hours, we decided to start walking. I personally believe that a good city must be explored by simply strolling around its streets.

I'd like to say that I am more of a traveller rather than a tourist but I'd be lying if I claim it so. One of the things that truly interest me apart from getting to see new places and admiring the architecture is knowing a bit of its history. Before we went on this trip, I regrettably didn't know that Wales had another language completely different from England.

Later that day we went to see the Cardiff Castle. There were a lot of fascinating details to see and learn inside the castle but I was really drawn to the Arab Room. Truly a masterpiece.

Day two: We took the bus to go to Cardiff Bay. Not very different from the London buses, although less busy definitely. Mainly, we strolled around the area and had our coffee at the Mermaid Quay. You can see the Pierhead here, the Wales Millenium Centre, and lots of places to eat. But this day we decided to go for a little boat tour. Highly recommended especially with the glorious sun out. How I wish I could've swam too.

Then, we took the bus to go back to the city centre and we ended up walking along the National Museum of Cardiff. Somehow, we weren't able to go in. We decided to have lunch first instead but didn't manage to go back anymore. Thereafter, we went for another walk to go to the Bute Park and spent most of our afternoon lounging about and taking a nap whilst laying down on the grass. Perfect kind of weather to do so.

Day three: Our last day at this city. Definitely too quick. We had another late start to our day, had brunch al fresco in a nice café just beside the Wyndham Arcade. We were so happy the sun stayed for the entire three days that we were here. Maybe next time we could go outside the city. People have recommended the beaches and to go on hiking too.

All photos taken with an iPhone (June, 2019).

The mermaid smiles, nodding happily. She then gives a final wave. “Jai-quay’, Hiccup.” And with a flash of her glittering scales, she disappears beneath the water’s surface.
(THIS IS GONNA BE FUN HEHEHHEE)
Hiccup was still sitting there for a few minutes, and Toothless came up and sat next to him.
When the dragon rider didn't move, the Night Fury bumped his shoulder.
"Hm, what? Oh, hey Toothless. How uh, how long were you sitting there? Ah. Right, well...we should--we should go."
-------------------------------
A few weeks later, Hiccup and Toothless returned to the cove. There had been a terrible storm the day before that lasted into the night, and they had checked the island over to assess the damage.
After recording their finds, they were able to take a little break, since it wasn't bad.
They landed softly, and Hiccup dismounted. As he was putting his flight suit components back into place, Toothless tilted his head, sniffing a scent that the breeze carried.
Following it, he bounded towards the shore, seeing a figure washed up at the waters edge.
Inspecting her closely, Toothless decided to roar for Hiccup to come by and help.
"Toothless? What is it, bud?" Making his way over, he paused momentarily, seeing the figure of a woman laying in the sand. As he got closer, he saw that she seemed to be about his age.
Kneeling down next to her, he asked, "Hey, are you alright?"

The Delights of Rye in East Sussex, UK

Rye is a small town in East Sussex, UK, with a population of nearly 5,000. It began as a humble fishing community before blossoming into an important seaport. The history of Rye traces back to Roman times, when it served as a vital hub for exporting iron from the Wealden iron industry to the Continent. Rye received its charter from King Edward I in 1289, gaining privileges and tax exemptions in return for providing ships for the crown. In 1350, Rye became a full member of the confederation of English Channel ports. The rich history of Rye can be explored at the Rye Heritage Centre on Strand Quay. No longer a seaport, Rye now lies two miles inland, connected to the sea by the River Rother, which winds past a nature reserve and out to the English Channel.

The Titan
AO3
Summary:
After a day of work, Roy and Dick close their coffee shop on the planet Nas Ocisnarf. Roy reflects. Prompt: As AU as possible.
Notes:
Word Count: 507 Genre: bittersweet fluff Characters: Roy, Dick, Steph Setting: coffee shop in space and also they have wings and Steph is a mermaid and Steph had been adopted. Also no capes. And Cass is not in the story but she’s a half dragon because she deserves it
-
Roy locked the last cabinet and stood up, stretching like a cat.
“Alright. All done.”
Dick was already ready to go, looking at him. “I’m finished too,” he said uselessly. “Anything planned for tonight?”
“Not really,” said Roy as they exited the coffee shop. “Lian is with Olie and Dinah, visiting the solar system.”
As they closed the iron curtain, he looked up at the bright neon of their coffee shop. The Titan. Named after the moon they met in. A little island of peace in the megapolis that was their current planet, Nas Ocisnarf.
As soon as they were out, the noise assaulted Roy’s senses. He looked up to see the ships in the sky. That was depressing. Flying without a ship was forbidden here, sticking everyone to the ground.
Just as the thought crossed his mind, Dick’s blue and gold feathers went to tickle his face playfully. “What’s going on in that head of yours?”
Roy shook his head. In moments like this, he was remembered how pretty Dick’s wings were. He had died them, going away from the dark brown owl wings he’d been born with, saying they were a bad memory. Roy’s own feathers were naturally bright red, but, contrary to Dick, he’d been born with wings unable to fly.
He didn’t know why the non-flying law bothered him so much, plus, he knew Dick tended to go flying anyway at night. It was just weird.
He shrugged. “Nothing. And you? Any plans?”
Dick’s face lit up. “Yes actually! My sister is coming to visit!”
“Cass?” he had only seen the dragon-woman once, and he had to say, the way she merged into shadows could be impressive.
Dick shook his head. “No, Steph. She’s new, this is… he made a large movement, “you know Bruce. Anyway, you wanna meet her?”
Roy shrugged again. “Sure.”
They made their way on the streets, and he was surprised to see Dick lead him to the canals.
“She’s a…”
“A mermaid, yes. She grew up in Goth’am”
Roy nodded. Like Nas Ocisnarf, Goth’am was a megapolis planet, with no natural ocean. So, she was a mermaid who never saw the sea. Ironic.
“Oh, there she is!” yelled Dick before rushing near the water. “Hey, Steph!”
A young mermaid with blond hair swam to the quay. “Oh, hi! I found you! This place is huge!”
She was smiling brightly. Purple scales went up to her chest. Not unlike Dick’s wings, they had been died, and the natural grey could still be seen on some of them.
Dick rushed into the water to talk to her, his wings hovering behind him. “And I told you about Roy, right? Well, here he is, in flesh and bones!”
She smiled. “Nice to meet you.”
She was a mermaid who had never seen the sea, the sister of his best friend, a winged man forbidden from flying.
He himself didn’t know what he was, exactly. But hey, he didn’t exactly have a classic family either.
He smiled back. “Nice to meet you.”

Almeida Garrett, later 1st Viscount of Almeida Garrett, was a romantic writer and playwright, orator, peer of the kingdom, minister and honorary Portuguese secretary of state.
Born in Porto, on February 4, 1799, - December 9, 1854, João Baptista da Silva Leitão de Almeida Garrett was one of the most complete writers in the panorama of Portuguese letters.
Graduated in Law from the University of Coimbra, he supported, in the last year of his course, the cause of the liberal revolution of 1820, consequently going into exile in England and France.
During his departure, he published the two founding titles of Portuguese Romanticism: Camões (1825) and D. Branca (1826).
However, it was after his definitive return to Portugal, in 1836, that he proved to be most fruitful, writing a series of works, including the tragic play Frei Luís de Sousa (1843), the unclassifiable Viagens na Minha Terra (1846) , or the bold verses of Folhas Caídas (1853).
Allied to the writer is also Garrett, the civic man, who contributed to the writing of the Constitution of 1838, founded the Dramatic Art Conservatory and headed the project to build the Teatro Nacional D. Maria II.
beautiful boat
Fisherman from the beautiful boat,
Where are you going to fish with her?
That is so beautiful,
Oh fisherman?
Don't you see that the last star
Do you sail in the cloudy sky?
Harvest the candle.
Oh fisherman!
Lay the spear down carefully.
That the mermaid sings beautifully...
But be careful,
Oh fisherman!
Don't get the net entangled in it.
That lost is oar and sail
Just seeing her,
Oh fisherman.
Fisherman from the beautiful boat,
There is still time, run away from it
Run away from her
OH FISHERMAN!
About the poem:
A poetic composition that involves a dialogue with a fisherman, warning him about the dangers of his journey on the "beautiful boat". The repetition of the appeal "Oh fisherman!" suggests urgency and concern. The poet advises the fisherman to be careful with the last star that was veiled in the cloudy sky, to gather the candle and throw the spear with caution to avoid the mermaid that sings seductively. There is a cautionary tone in warning of the dangers of becoming entangled in the mermaid's net, suggesting that doing so would result in the loss of the oar and sail.
It explores symbolic elements, using the sea scene and the figure of the fisherman to convey deeper messages about temptation, danger and the need for caution when faced with seductive situations. The final advice, "It's still time, run away from it", emphasizes the idea that there is still time to avoid imminent dangers and move away from the seduction represented by the "beautiful boat".

Barca bela
Pescador da barca bela,
Onde vais pescar com ela?
Que é tão bela,
Oh pescador?
Não vês que a última estrela
No céu nublado se vela?
Colhe a vela.
Oh pescador!
Deita a lança com cautela.
Que a sereia canta bela...
Mas cautela,
Oh pescador!
Não se enrede a rede nela.
Que perdido é remo e vela
Só de vê-la,
Oh pescador.
Pescador da barca bela,
Inda é tempo, foge dela
Foge dela
OH PESCADOR!
Sobre o poema:
Uma composição poética que envolve um diálogo com um pescador, alertando-o sobre os perigos da sua jornada na "barca bela". A repetição do apelo "Oh pescador!" sugere urgência e preocupação.
@edisonblog
