Episode 1: "Chance Encounter"

. . .
It's 2025 in a small town in the Resa Region, & a Professor named Miles is working in his basement’s makeshift lab.
“Whew! That’s the last piece of research for today, Pibby.” Professor Miles said.
Pibby’s a small penguin Pokémon Professor Miles has had for years. Pibby was a Piplup that has since evolved into its final form, Empoleon. Professor Miles gives Pibby some head pets as it sighs about finally finishing helping with today’s work.

“You act as if you did all of the work today, Pibby.” He teased with a laugh, causing Pibby to cheep more.
As Professor Miles starts cleaning up, his two kids, Arlo & Penelope, sneak up behind their Dad to scare him. “BAAH!” Arlo screams, nearly causing Professor Miles to jump out of his skin before turning around & noticing who it was.
“What are you two doing still up? Shouldn’t Mama be getting you guys ready for bed?” Professor Miles asked, with a slight chuckle.
“But we haven’t seen you ALL DAY, & we wanna plaaaaaaaay!!!!!” Arlo replied, with a twinge of annoyance in his voice.
Professor Miles chuckles. He knew the kids were still very young. “Oh, Arlo, you know Daddy doesn’t have much time to play with you guys during the week.” He stated.
“But we want you to tell us bedtime stories just like you used to,” Arlo replied, crossing his arms & giving a pout.
“Please tell us a bedtime story, Daddy. Pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaase!!” Penelope chimed in, doing big puppy dog eyes to get her father to say yes.
Professor Miles shakes his head & sighs, “Ok, ok, but first I have to finish cleaning.”
Both kids groaned about having to wait. While waiting, Penelope noticed an old picture of her Father on his work desk. She took a closer look & noticed another person in the photo.
“Daddy, who’s that in the picture over there?” She asked, pointing at the picture.

Professor Miles looks over to see what she’s talking about. He immediately stops what he was doing & stares at the photo for a few minutes before speaking up.
“Th-that’s an old friend of mine. H-his name is Grayson.” He stuttered.
Both kids were confused when they heard that name. They had never heard their father call any of his friends by that before. They both looked at their Father, waiting for him to say more.
Professor Miles knew his kids most likely had hundreds of questions. He took a few minutes before saying more. “He was like a brother to me during my younger years.” He continued, trying not to get choked up.
“But Daddy, you don’t have a brother,” Arlo replied, being too young to understand what his Father meant.
Professor Miles chuckles at his son’s comment. “You’re right, kiddo. I don’t have an actual brother, but Grayson & I were very close when we were young.” He explained, ruffling Arlo’s hair. “We had many memorable adventures together.” Professor Miles added, feeling a wave of memories flooding in.
“Can you tell us one of your adventures as a bedtime story?” Penelope asked.
Professor Miles smiled when she asked that. “Of course, I have just the adventure in mind.” He said.
Both kids were excited to hear a story about their Father’s past. As Professor Miles sat down, Pibby also sat down so the kids could sit on its lap. Both kids started listening intently as their Father spoke.
...
In the year 2005, many years before Miles became a Professor. He was a typical 15-year-old boy. Him & Pibby always went on adventures around the Resa Region, trying to collect as many new Pokémon so Miles could study them.
While strolling on the route through Aplin Forest, Pibby suddenly stops & begins looking around. “Huh? What is it, Pibby?” Miles asks.

“Cheep! Cheeep Cheep!” Pibby urgently squeaks, pointing one of its wings toward an empty clearing in the forest. Miles notices a small, orange-colored bear, dawned by a small moon on its forehead, sitting on the ground, whimpering.
“Ah! I haven’t seen that Pokémon before, but it looks injured! We have to help it, Pibby!” He quickly exclaims, to Pibby’s agreement. They both run over to the small bear, & Miles kneels to it. “Hey, little guy… Are you okay?” Miles whispers to the small Pokémon.
It backs up, initially cautious of Miles. Pibby hops in front of Miles & starts talking to the bear. “Cheep! Che-cheep cheep!” Pibby exclaims, pointing to Miles, “Cheep! Cheep!” He nods.
The bear nods & shakes its head “no” to Miles, trusting him a little more after Pibby’s heartfelt words. The bear points to his mouth as a small rumbling sound fills the air.
“Oh! Haha, you’re hungry!” Miles exclaims, now understanding what’s wrong. He took his backpack off his shoulders, pulled out a lettuce & tomato sandwich, & held it up to the Teddiursa. “Here, buddy! This will help!” he says with a smile on his face.
Before the little bear gets a chance to grab the sandwich, the bear looks up behind Miles & Pibby & tilts its head sideways.
“Huh? What’s wrong, little guy?” Miles asks, a bit confused.
GGgrrrgrr...

“Cheep… cheep…” Pibby whimpers, slowly looking towards Miles.”
“S-so… You hear that noise too, Pibby?” Miles says, as he & Pibby slowly turn around to see a giant brown ball of fur… until they look up & see it’s a tall, very, hungry, & very mad bear Pokémon.
“Pibby… we should run, shouldn’t we?”
“Cheep. Cheep cheep!!”
The two jump up & start running as fast as they can as the bear begins roaring after them.
“PIBBY, SPRINT FASTERRRR,” Miles screams, ducking & diving through the dense forest.
“CHEEP, CHEEEP!!!” Pibby also screams, running as fast as his little flippers can carry him.
The two keep running, with the bear slowly but consistently catching up to them. The both of them are so focused on running that they don’t realize they ran past a trainer & his Pokémon having their lunch.

..”What the fuu….” The trainer, with pitch-black hair & a hat, mumbles in utter confusion. His Pokémon, a Cyndaquil, a small fire-mouse-shrew-badger, also returned the same look.
Miles & Pibby keep running as fast as their legs can carry them until Miles trips over a stick & falls on his face. Pibby tries to pick up his arm with his flippers, to no success. With the bear quickly catching up, Miles looks up at it & flinches his face, anticipating his impending doom, until…
DONK
Miles opens his eyes to see a sandwich on the bear’s face, with it stopped in its tracks. However, before he gets much more of a look, he suddenly gets pulled up by the arm & dragged across the ground by a fellow trainer just yelling “RUN.”
The trainer & his Pokémon eventually pull Miles & Pibby behind a rock, hiding.
“I…I think we lost it..” The trainer says, out of breath. With dark eyes & matching hair, the young man turns to Miles & whispers, “What did you do to make that Usaring that upset?!”
Miles tries to recuperate everything that just happened before trying to speak. “I-I think I angered a Teddiursa’s Mama by t-trying to help it!” He stuttered, still feeling a bit panicked about it all. Pibby jumps onto Miles’ chest, getting close enough to his face to slap him with his wing.
“CHEEP-CHEEP-CHEEEP!!” Pibby yelled, clearly upset about being chased.
The man just kept staring at Miles, bewildered “Helping it?! Did you have food or something?”
Miles rubbed his cheek after being brutally slapped by his angry penguin friend. “I just gave it whatever my Mom packed for me before heading out.” He replied.
“Also, OW!!! What the heck, Pibby!” Miles yelled back, still rubbing his now sore cheek. Pibby crossed its wings & scowled at its owner before hopping off.
The trainer’s Cyndaquil made a quiet “Meep” as it began following Pibby.
The dark-haired man sighed, & held the bridge of his nose in frustration, “Ursaring becomes aggressive near food, which is most likely what upset her. You’re lucky she didn’t catch you…” The trainer stood up & said, “You also owe Quilly & I our lunch.”
Miles stood up & looked at the older trainer in confusion. “B-but, I thought all Pokémon liked food…? It looked so scared & helpless, I-I just had to help the Teddiursa!” He explained, feeling a little frustrated about the situation. “& we barely know each other, why do I have to repay you your lunch?!” He added.
“The problem is that it likes food too much! & whether or not we know each other does not matter, you need to repay us our lunch because I threw it at the bear so it wouldn’t eat you!” He scoffed, crossing his arms.
As both of the boys continue to argue, Pibby looks around & notices Miles’ backpack is missing. Pibby walks over to Miles & tugs at his pants leg. “Cheeep-cheeep!”
“Hold on, Pibby, the humans are talking,” Miles replied before going back to arguing with the other trainer.
Pibby gets frustrated by its owner’s obliviousness. Pibby gets on the nearest tall rock & the next thing Miles sees is a flying angry Pibby about to slap his other cheek. “CHEEP-CHEEEEEP!!!!” Pibby screamed, as its wing started coming into contact with Miles’ face.

“OWWW!!!!! Pibby, what is with you right now?! I told you to hold-” Miles stops talking mid-sentence to realize something. “Uh…. Pibby, where’s my backpack?” Miles asked.
Pibby sighs & facepalms over its own owner’s stupidity. Miles begins to panic again, looking everywhere it could possibly be.
“No, no, no! I-I don’t see it anywhere!!” Miles shouted frantically, feeling a wave of panic coming back.
“Did you leave it back with the Teddiursa?” The trainer asks with a puzzled look.
Miles’ eyes go wide as the older trainer’s idea dawned on him. “O-oh, my god…. I must’ve left it sitting there after Pibby & I ran!” He replied.
Miles starts pacing back & forth, unsure of what to do. “We have to get it back somehow.” He said, feeling a little anxious without his stuff.
“Maybe we could distract the Ursaring? That might give you enough time to run in & grab it. ”The trainer pauses & puts his hand on his chin, thinking. “I don’t have any more sandwiches though so if you get seen, you’re done for… If we could just get the Ursaring out of the way first, that would solve that problem.”
Miles stops pacing & suddenly gets an idea. He quickly picks up Pibby, catching his Pokemon off guard & causing it to squirm. “I know! We could use our Pokémon as fake live bait!” He replied, thinking it was a brilliant idea.
The trainer slowly looked at Miles stunned, questioning the audacity & mental sanity even to suggest that in the first place. “..You aren’t serious, are you?”
Quilly hopped behind the trainer, hiding behind his leg.
Pibby is fed up with Miles’ utter stupidity. Pibby manages to turn around in Miles’ grasp to slap him with both of its wings. “CHEEP-CHEEEP-CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEP!!!!!!!!!!” Pibby yelled, slapping Miles with all their might.
“OW, OWW, OWWWWW!!!!!!!! Ok, I get it!” Miles replied.
“Deserved.” The trainer mumbled under their breath.
The little Cyndaquil then steps on the trainer’s foot, “Meep-meep!” It meeped loudly.
“Ow! Sorry Quilly.” He kneeled & patted the Cyndaquil on its head. He stood back up & looked at Miles again, “The longer we wait, the more likely your bag won’t be in one piece by the time we get to it.”
Miles puts down his angry penguin friend & rubs both of his now sore & pink cheeks. “Let’s just think of a plan on the way there.” He replied, still recovering from being brutally slapped.
Everyone returns to the area & sees the Ursaring & Miles’ backpack plain in sight. Everyone quickly hides in a bush. “It’s right there!” Miles whispered, pointing to where it was. The Ursaring started sniffing the backpack & trying to get it open.

Miles turns to the older trainer, “Ok, What’s our plan?” He asked, trying to keep his voice quiet enough so the Ursaring wouldn’t hear.
The trainer stopped for a minute to think, “I think… If you could catch it, that would remove the risk of getting caught. It also would distract it. I can then run in & grab the bag.”
Miles liked this plan, although he was a little nervous about getting near the Pokémon. Miles takes out all of his Poké-Balls in his pocket to count how many attempts he has. “I only have 3 left.” He stated.
Miles takes a deep breath & prepares himself for the task ahead. “Ok, ready to do this?”
The trainer nodded, “3 might be enough. Ready.”
Miles & Pibby quietly sneak closer to the Ursaring, but as they do, Miles steps on a stick. They both quickly hide as the Ursaring turns to see what the noise was. Miles moves a little closer to throw the first ball. As the Ursaring enters the Poké-Ball, Miles quickly hand-signals for the older trainer to start moving before the Ursaring breaks free.
The trainer begins running as fast as he can, but just as he gets to the backpack, the Pokeball breaks open.
Miles quickly tries to throw the second ball, but fumbles, causing it to miss entirely. The Ursaring started getting closer to the older trainer, preparing to attack. With one last Poké-Ball in hand, Miles threw it. The Poké-Ball manages to catch the Ursaring just as it was about to attack. After a few seconds, the Poké-Ball seals shut, capturing the Ursaring inside.
Miles gasped in excitement. He & Pibby both come out of their hiding spot & start doing a little victory dance together in celebration. “WOOOO!!!! We did it! We did it!! We’re awesome!!!” He cheered, jumping around like a little kid.
The trainer let out a sigh of relief, & walked over to Miles, handing him the backpack. “Good job.” He said, whilst attempting to hide a slight smile.
Quilly ran over to Pibby, running in circles around them in joy.
Miles grabs his backpack & walks over to where the Poké-Balls landed, But just as he was about to grab them, he notices the same Teddiursa he saw before, looking scared & lonely now. Miles frowns before picking up his two remaining Poké-Balls. He remembers that the Ursaring he caught is the Mother of the Teddiursa. Miles looks at the Poké-Balls & sighs, realizing what he has to do. He gets a little closer to the Teddiursa before releasing its Mother back into the wild.
The little Teddiursa runs over to the Ursaring, & the two of them walk away, deeper into the forest.
“I think that was the right decision,” the dark-haired trainer says, watching Miles.
Miles smiles as the two Pokémon walk away. He looks at his phone & realizes the time. “Oh god! I have to get home!” He stated, quickly grabbing all of his stuff. Miles turns to start walking before stopping to turn back towards the older trainer. “Thanks for helping us today, the name is Miles, Miles Linden.” He said, holding his hand out to shake hands.
The trainer reaches out & shakes Miles’ hand, “Grayson.” He quickly lets go & begins to walk away before turning around, “Oh. You still owe us our lunch.”
“OH C’MON, MAN! ISN’T SAVING YOU GOOD ENOUGH?!” Miles yelled.

"I saved you, first," Grayson says with zero hesitation, & little emotion, other than a slight smirk.
Quilly meeps in laughter.
Miles crosses his arms & grumbles to himself. “Fiiiiiiiiine, I guess I’ll repay for your lunch, but don’t come complaining if I get something you don’t like!!” He replied.
Miles pulls out a piece of paper from his notebook in his backpack & writes his phone number on it. “Here, feel free to call me anytime.” He said, handing his new friend the piece of paper.
Grayson looked a little surprised, but nodded “Sure” & wrote his number down on a spare piece of paper & handed it to Miles. Then swiftly turned around & went his separate ways, with Quilly following behind, waving goodbye to Miles & Pibby. “Me-meep meep meeep!”
Miles & Pibby wave goodbye before running off & heading back home.
…
“& that’s the story of how we met.” Professor Miles said, coming back to the present day.
Both kids were in awe after the story was over. “Can we hear another story, Daddy?” Arlo asked, clearly intrigued to hear more about his Father’s past. Professor Miles chuckles, but before he could answer, the Mother of the two kids comes down the basement stairs.
“There you two are, it’s time for bed.” She stated.
Both kids whined at the idea of going to bed. “But we’re not even tiiiiiiiirrrrreeeeeeeeddd!” Arlo whined, rubbing his eyes. It was obvious that both kids were starting to get tired, even if they didn’t want to admit it.
“& Daddy was gonna tell us another story, right Daddy?” Penelope added, hoping he’d say yes.
Professor Miles shakes his head no. He knew the importance of the kids going to bed on time. “Sorry, sweetheart… But if Mama says it’s bedtime, then it’s bedtime.” He replied.
The kids groaned at their Father’s response. “But we want another stooooorrrrrrrryyyy!!!” Arlo whined, plopping himself on the ground & crossing his arms.
Professor Miles sighs & pushes his glasses up. “If you guys don’t go to bed, then I have no choice, but to send Pibby after you two.” He teased, looking at Pibby to have them go along with it. Pibby pretends to rub its wings together as if getting ready to do it.
The kids’ eyes go wide as they remember what Pibby did in their Father’s story. They both stood up & ran upstairs, shouting, “I DON’T WANNA BE PIBBY SLAPPED!!!”
The parents chuckle as their children disappear from the basement. “Well, I’m gonna get those two in bed. Are you coming up soon?” His wife asked.
Professor Miles looks around & notices his messy work area that he still needs to clean. “I’ll be up there in a few minutes. I just have to finish cleaning up here.”
His wife nodded & went upstairs to deal with the two kids. Professor Miles sighed as it was just him & Pibby alone again. He grabs the old picture of him & Grayson, letting his true emotions seep through. Pibby pats him on the back. “Cheep-cheep, cheeep…”

“I know, I miss him too….” Professor Miles replied, grabbing a key to open a locked drawer in his desk & pulling a small charm out of it. “One day we’ll bring him back, Pibby. We just have to keep trying.”

writemas day 15!
as always, massive appreciation for @agirlandherquill coming up with these fantastic prompts!
***content warning for mentions of miscarriage, infertility***
I picked these ones today:
She shattered her hopes and her dreams into pieces, and she took the jagged edges between her fingers and held them close to her heart, they would serve as a scarring reminder of what would never be done, of what she would never become.
"Save yourself. Not me. Not anyone else. You. You are all that matter."
~~~~~
The wards shimmered overhead, a constant reminder that they were finally protected, finally safe from the temple's persecution. It had come at a cost, though, one that had been almost too steep to bear.
Luke stood at her side, a spot he had not left in weeks. Not since the ritual. Not since their shared loss.
“Resa.” He spoke her name as a benediction, a prayer and a plea.
“I don't want to talk about it, Luke. Let's just be here together, okay?”
He was silent a few more moments, before shaking his head. “We can't ignore it forever. They took our magic, everything that defined us.”
“And they gave us new magic. Stronger, more controllable magic. We gained more than we lost, at least where that is concerned.”
“It was worth all the other losses, was it?”
She was quiet for a second too long. “Luke, I…”
“Everyone here had a unique, remarkable ability. We were capable and strong, all we needed was time and practice. Now, we're little more than servants to them. Is that what you wanted? To exchange one master for another?”
“The dragons don't want mastery over us. They want to help us, to teach us to become stronger than we could have been before.”
He looked away from her in disbelief. “Sure. Go on believing that. You know, somewhere in your heart, none of this is as it seems. They have some hidden agenda that will only bring us ruin.” A moment of silence hung between them. “Promise me one thing, Resa. When this partnership with those creatures falls apart, you save yourself. Not me. Not anyone else. You. You are all that matters. I want you to survive more than anything.”
She turned to face him, shocked he would say it so plainly. “Why shouldn't I save you, if I can? We have a future ahead of us! The cottage and the children and… all of it! I won't abandon that!”
“You'll have to. Part of it, at least. You know that damned ritual took more than your original magic.”
Without thinking, her hand dropped to her now flat abdomen. “We can try again, Luke. Not now, but someday, once the grief fades…”
“No. The damage is permanent, our baby was conceived with our kind of magic, and they wouldn't tolerate that. They won't risk you having another that might be outside their control.”
“Why are you saying all this?” Her face was soaked with tears, but she made no effort to wipe them away.
He was still, staring off into the distance. “I was practising my shadowform. I ended up further away from here than I meant to, and heard that white one talking to one of the others. She said they had to ensure all ties were forever cut, that no trace of the human magic should remain in us. One of them mentioned you, said you carried a child. She laughed, and said you wouldn't afterwards. Your magic was strong enough to resist their bindings, and would likely emerge in any child you bore. She said she would work in another spell, to leave you forever barren.”
She froze, unable to comprehend it for several minutes. “You could have warned me. Why the hell didn't you tell me before!”
“I tried! What do you think I was trying to say the day before the ritual? You refused to listen, caught up in your ridiculous revenge plot with Mark! Who cares what the damn temple does now? We could have dealt with them later, when we were older and stronger!” He stopped, breathing heavily. “I can't do this. I need some time to think.”
He turned to leave, and she reached out, catching his sleeve. “Wait, where are you going? Don't leave, please don't leave!”
“I'm not leaving. I just… I need to be alone for a bit.” He gently disentangled his sleeve from her fingers. “I still love you, Resa, I always will. But right now, I don't love what you're becoming. I think we both need to work some things out, and we can't do that while stuck to each other.”
As he walked away, she let herself break. She shattered her hopes and her dreams into pieces, and she took the jagged edges between her fingers and held them close to her heart, they would serve as a scarring reminder of what would never be done, of what she would never become.
A mother.
Un pezzo
Due notazioni - vabbè, sono più di due, ma voi non vi formlizzerete, spero - sulla trasposizione live action dell'anime che tutti conosciamo come One Piece: 1) Ha indubbiamente il dono della sintesi. Un arco narrativo di svariati episodi condensato in sole otto puntate. 2) I personaggi sono abbastanza somiglianti e ben caratterizzati. Luffy ha la faccia da stupido, ma pazienza. 3) I combattimenti, specie quelli di Zoro, sono ben coreografati. 4) Discreti gli effetti speciali. La gommosità di Luffy, tra l'altro, sembra essere resa senza tante esagerazioni. 5) In linea di massima, la serie televisiva mantiene una certa fedeltà al cartone animato. Sorgono, però, alcuni interrogativi. Come riusciranno a rendere la complessità narrativa di manga e anime? Quanti episodi realizzeranno se vogliono rispecchiare l'interminabile storia originale? E gli effetti speciali terranno il passo della serie animata senza scadere nel ridicolo? Nonostante io sia contrario a operazioni di questo genere, sono obbligato ad ammettere che ne è venuto fuori un prodottino simpatico. Però siamo ancora all'inizio. Fanno sempre in tempo a sprecare tutto quanto.
5, 9, and 11!
Thank you! <3
5: something you see in fics a lot and love
Can I just say worldbuilding? Because I really love seeing everyone's ideas of what the Inkworld is like^^. Everyone adds some other detail and it makes it feel so rich and lively. Or just in general, fleshing out minor characters and events that only got hinted at in canon.
9: a ship that isn't your OTP but that you enjoy
Mo/Resa/Dustfinger! It's really interesting to see their respective relationships weave together and become something new. They have so much history with each other individually, and then suddenly all three of them are together and they somehow have to deal with that.
11: if you're a writer or artist, what fic or piece of art are you proud of making?
I'm very satisfied with how Long Nights, But Our Hearts Are Warm turned out^^ And I had so much fun coming up with all the food and the sounds and sights of the festival. Not a fic, but I also really like the Mortola moodboard I made XD
DRAMA QUIZ 2023
Ed eccoci qui, un altro anno è passato e non mi vergogno ad ammettere di non aver visto tanti drama, che non ci sono proprio stata attenta, e che mi ero completamente dimenticata del quiz. La vita reale è piena di impegni vari, e ho passato questo passatempo in secondo piano, ma devo anche constatare che mi piace sempre fermarmi un attimo e fare il punto della situazione, e rispondere a questo quiz. Alla fine mi diverto.
Il problema è che mi sono subito resa conto che quest'anno è andato davvero malino, ma per fortuna ci sono alcuni titoli (soprattutto uno) che mi hanno salvato la giornata.
Ringrazio di cuore @dilebe06 per questo appuntamento fisso annuale e... cominciamo!
Prima di tutto i drama visti quest'anno:
Cinesi: City of streamer, My Deepest Dream, Goodbye my princess, Gank your heart, Three body
Coreani: The Glory, D.P., How to buy a friend, Taxi Driver, Gaus Electronics, W, Missing
Tailandesi: The Gifted, Midnight Museum, The Stranded, I'm Tee Me Too
Taiwanesi: Nowhere Man, Danger Zone
Giapponesi: Alice in borderland 2, Danger-less detectives, Bokura No Yuuki, Don't call it mistery, One Piece, High and Low Worst Episode
Drama droppati: Fight for my way. Rip.
E ora via con le domande.
1) Il drama più bello che hai visto: One Piece
Questo è più un investimento, non una vera e propria incoronazione. Mi sono trovata in difficoltà, perché non ho nessun drama di cui mi sia davvero innamorata quest'anno, quindi ho deciso di "investire" su One Piece.
Perché in fondo penso che sia davvero la serie che mi sia piaciuta di più quest'anno. @dilebe06 dimmi che ti sto rendendo felice XD
Io non parlo da fan. Non ho mai letto il manga e non ho mai visto l'anime. Non avevo idea di che cosa parlasse questa storia. Non posso fare paragoni, non posso dire "il live action è fatto bene/male rispetto a..."
Posso solo dire che questa serie mi è piaciuta per quella che è.
Ho respirato l'avventura, l'amicizia e il mistero. Ho sognato con la caccia al tesoro. Mi sono goduta i combattimenti. Ho riso, mi sono emozionata, ho riflettuto, mi sono arrabbiata.
Queste sono tutte le cose che ho vissuto durante la visione di One Piece il live action, e sicuramente ce ne sono molte altre, ma penso che già soltanto queste siano bellissime.
Faccio vincere One Piece perché ho voglia di tuffarmi di nuovo all'avventura nella seconda stagione. E magari anche nella terza, nella quarta, nella quinta... E spero che continui così, anzi no, che vada sempre meglio XD
2) La storia d'amore che ti ha conquistato di più: My Deepest Dream
E no, non sto parlando della storia d'amore principale, ma di quella tra il poliziotto e l'amica della lead.
Mi è piaciuto molto come hanno impostato e costruito la storia: il fatto che questi due tornavano a incontrarsi e scontrarsi in ogni linea temporale, era come se fossero destinati sempre, non importa cosa accadesse.
È romanticismo allo stato puro.
3) Il drama che ti è piaciuto di meno: Gank your heart
È stato più che altro noioso. Un drama sulla stessa riga di Falling into your smile (i videogiochi vissuti come professione e stile di vita), ma non c'è neanche gara. Falling into your smile non era un capolavoro ma era fatto bene, la questione degli e-sports era centrale e gestita bene, mentre in Gank your heart (che razza di titolo) il tema è preso in considerazione in modo minimo e alla fine della fiera non risulta nemmeno un elemento cardine: se al posto degli e-sports ci sarebbe stata qualsiasi altra cosa la storia l'avrebbero potuta fare ugualmente.
E poi non ricordo che la storia d'amore mi abbia presa in qualche modo, i personaggi erano spiccioli, e proprio l'attore e l'attrice principali non mi hanno convinta proprio per niente. Wang Yibo sa fare molto meglio di così dai, che delusione.
4) Una serie che meriterebbe un sequel
Io metto già le mani avanti e lo dico subito: questa è la prima di tre domande a cui non sono riuscita a trovare una risposta. Denunciatemi.
Rispondendo a questa domanda, il problema è che tutte le serie di cui vorrei un sequel o ce l'hanno già o è comunque in programma, e delle rimanenti serie non ho interesse a vedere una continuazione o non avrebbe senso farla.
5) Il personaggio preferito: City of streamer
Io amo quest'uomo. La sua grazia, il suo fascino, la sua psico-sociopatia (matto come un cavallo), ma anche la sua intelligenza, la sua pazienza, il suo essere manipolatore e subdolo, la sua voglia di vendetta, la sua scaltrezza, la sua freddezza.
E no, non ha dei difetti. Sa essere pure simpatico (vedi gif).
6) Il personaggio più odiato: My Deepest Dream
Ricordo quanto volessi prendere a schiaffi la second lead di questa serie tutte le volte che era presente in scena.
Non posso dire che proprio la odiassi come si intende l'odio per un personaggio cattivo ma, voglio dire.. Fastidiosa, infantile, arrogante, spocchiosa, antipatica, viziata, capricciosa, irritante, importuna. Potrei andare avanti, ma penso sia abbastanza per farle vincere questa domanda, no?
7) L'ambientazione più brutta: High and Low Worst Episode
Il Liceo Oya di questo drama è in assoluto la prima risposta che mi è saltata in mente nel momento in cui ho letto questa domanda.
Quello non è un liceo, è innanzitutto un porcile dove non fanno le pulizie da circa un quarto di secolo. E poi è un luogo dove menarsi come se non ci fosse un domani, un posto in cui gli studenti quarantenni cazzeggiano bellamente, una "scuola" in cui i professori non sono pervenuti. E che dire del tetto? Quale liceo non ha un tetto in cui gli studenti passano il tempo a dormire e a scambiarsi quattro chiacchiere?
È tutto stupendo XD
8) Il finale più bello: Three Body
Mi è piaciuta l'idea di un finale che dice, ipotizza, fa immaginare, ma non mostra. A me i finali così piacciono un sacco. E poi la grinta del poliziotto mi ha gasata un sacco.
9) Un attore e un'attrice che ti sono piaciuti tantissimo: One Piece
Non ce ne sono solo due. Io voto tutto il cast di One Piece, perché si tratta di interpreti giovani, con poca esperienza e semi sconosciuti. E sono stati bravissimi.
Quanto mi piace premiare la gioventù volenterosa.
10) La morte di un personaggio che ancora non hai superato
Quest'anno o non è morto nessuno o nessuno per cui mi sia dispiaciuto più di tanto.
Secca e onesta.
11) La OST che ti è piaciuta di più: City of streamer
Le ost di questo drama mi sono piaciute un sacco. Romantiche, emozionanti, intense. E credo anche che questo sia l'unico drama di cui mi siano piaciute le ost, visto che sono le uniche che ho scaricato sulla mia playlist. (e sì, la mia playlist è piena di ost dei drama asiatici invece delle canzoni di Taylor Swift o Lady Gaga).
12) L'attore e l'attrice peggiori: W e Gank your heart
Mi dispiace ma Lee Jong Suk in W non mi è piaciuto. Lui ha il viso ha cucciolo, è un tenerone, quando sorride si sciolgono i ghiacciai, ed è perfetto se deve interpretare il protagonista di una commedia romantica alla Romance is a bonus book. Anche in W c'era la storia romantica (fatta malissimo), ma era anche una storia di mistero, di investigazione, era un thriller. E in questo secondo me Lee Jong Suk non ha saputo reggere nella recitazione. A questo punto non lo so se sarebbe in grado di fare un villain o un personaggio cattivo, non ce lo vedo proprio.
E invece voto Wang Zi Xuan, protagonista femminile di Gank your heart, perché la sua faccia è la prima che mi è venuta in mente quando ho letto questa domanda. Non è che fosse pessima, ne ho viste di peggiori, ma si vedeva che stava recitando, e questa cosa davvero non mi piace.
13) Una serie che merita più conoscenza: Danger Zone
Voto questa serie taiwanese non perché sia stata un capolavoro, ma perché è stata carina e piacevole da guardare (si tratta di un poliziesco), e perché ho dato il cuore al "bel tenebroso", il protagonista dai capelli neri che per tutto il tempo se ne sta in prigione e addirittura in cella di isolamento, e riesce comunque ad essere un passa avanti alla polizia. Assurdamente overpower, lo riconosco, ma a me i fighi tenebrosi conquistano troppo XD.
14) Il momento che ti ha fatto saltare sulla sedia: One Piece
Non so bene come interpretare questa domanda, perché solitamente con saltare sulla sedia si intende una scena spaventosa di un film horror, almeno è quello che ho pensato io. Ma non avrei avuto niente da rispondere se l'avessi intesa così, visto che non guardo drama horror (@dilebe06), allora ho pensato a un salto sulla sedia inteso come sorpresa.
Mi è venuta in mente una scena di One Piece che, non posso dire mi abbia proprio fatta saltare sulla sedia, ma mi ha sicuramente sorpresa.
SPOILER: ecco, io penso che nessuno si immaginasse che quel vecchio tsundere di Zeff di tagliasse e mangiasse la propria stessa gamba dopo aver lasciato tutto il cibo disponibile rimasto a Sanji. Proprio non me l'aspettavo. Ci hanno spiegato il loro rapporto, ed è stata la nascita di una bella bromance.
15) Il protagonista maschile preferito: One Piece
Premio Monkey D. Luffy perché è stato una ventata di aria fresca. È esattamente la sensazione che mi viene in mente quando penso a questo personaggio, a questo simpatico, bravo cazzone un po' pazzoide. Oltre a essere uno che tiene tantissimo agli amici e che va matto per l'avventura. Gli voglio proprio bene XD
La cosa che mi è piaciuta di più è il suo modo di concepire il concetto di pirata. Di solito quando penso a un pirata penso a un certo tipo di persona, con un certo aspetto, che se ne va per mare e fa cose non proprio carine. Luffy stravolge l'idea del pirata: con quell'aspetto mingherlino e l'aria da bravo ragazzo un po' scemo, è l'ultima persona al mondo che penseresti come pirata, e lui non solo vuole diventarne uno, ma è determinato a diventare il Re dei pirati!
Luffy mi ha ricordato che un pirata non deve per forza essere duro e cattivo, che chiunque può esserlo, perché chiunque può essere ciò che più desidera.
16) La storia d'amore che non ti è piaciuta: Goodbye my princess
Esattamente la mia reazione davanti a questa storia d'amore:
È una storia d'amore scritta obiettivamente da cani, dai. Anzi, credo che due cani l'avrebbero scritta meglio.
Anche guardare la versione estesa del drama non ha aiutato.
In pratica questi due si innamorano a cazzum, si vedono un paio di volte poi una sera vedono insieme le lucciole e tac, primo bacio e innamorati per la vita.
Ma questo è il meno. Il problema peggiore è che si trattava di una storia d'amore tossica e con grossi problemi di comunicazione. Tutte le volte che parlavano si mettevano a litigare, alzare la voce e insultarsi. Senza contare tutte le cose non dette, perché sia mai crescere insieme e creare fiducia, meglio avere segreti e fare le cose di nascosto, per poi arrabbiarsi perché l'altra persona non capisce. Tutto molto sensato.
SPOILER: la ciliegina sulla torta è stato il lead che si aspettava che la lead lo amasse dopo che lui le ha ucciso il nonno, distrutto la famiglia e rovinato la vita. Però lui l'amava eh. Che carino.
17) Miglior bacio
Non importa quanto ci pensi, io qui non ho niente da premiare. Se penso a scene di baci, ho davanti a me il nulla cosmico. Non perché non ne abbia visti, ma perché assolutamente nessuno mi è rimasto impresso o mi ha colpito in qualche modo. Mi dispiace ma è la prima volta in cinque anni che su questa domanda devo fare scena muta. Delusione su tutta la linea.
18) Il drama che hai fatto fatica a finire: Gank Your Heart
Mi sono più che altro annoiata. Non mi ha coinvolta, non mi ha conquistata. Un dramuccio da quattro soldi che ho visto soltanto per Yibo, e lui non mi è neanche piaciuto. Che tristezza.
19) Scena d'azione migliore: One Piece e City of streamer
Io qui ho due risposte che voglio mettere a pari merito.
Una è la sequenza della distruzione di Arlong Park in One Piece, davvero figa e piacevole da guardare, nel senso che mi ha ben intrattenuta e visivamente parlando è stata una figata.
L'altra riguarda City of streamer, la puntata dell'asta. Dio solo sa cosa sia successo a quell'asta: di tutto e di più. Non scendo nei dettagli ma il mio personaggio preferito ha messo su un bordello che ha scatenato una serie di eventi non indifferente: a livello di mente fredda e calcolatrice quest'uomo rientra nella cerchia di personaggi come Meng Yao di The Untamed o Petyr Baelish di Game of thrones. Non posso fare a meno di adorarlo.
20) Miglior Villain: One Piece
Buggy il Clown è un cattivo fantastico ed esilarante. Completamente fuori di testa, bizzarro, sopra le righe, minaccioso e allo stesso tempo patetico, con una personalità tutta sua.
I suoi poteri rispecchiano perfettamente il suo modo di essere, ed è davvero interessante, perché non ho potuto fare a meno di chiedermi come cavolo fai a sconfiggere uno che è in grado di staccarsi le parti le corpo e scagliartele addosso.
21) Il finale peggiore: W
Io in generale non ho amato molto questo drama. L'ho trovato gestito male e sprecato, e davvero mi ha fatto non poco cagare la storia d'amore: io la trovo assurda e cringe a prescindere, perché stiamo parlando dell'innamoramento tra una persona reale e il personaggio di un fumetto. Mi dispiace ma non ce la posso fare.
SPOILER: e ovviamente, come avevo già ampiamente immaginato nel corso della visione, hanno messo su un clichettosissimo happy ending che purtroppo non riesco a digerire, uno per la natura della relazione, e due perché sa proprio da favola.
22) La protagonista femminile preferita: City of streamer
Ora, io ho amato tanto questa protagonista. È stata fantastica. Intelligente, astuta, forte, matura, sensibile, coraggiosa, determinata, con una gran grazia ed eleganza. Una vera Queen.
Io ero pronta a nominarla personaggio preferito dell'anno, ma mi è scaduta nella seconda parte della serie. Hanno dato troppa importanza alla storia d'amore, lei si è un po' rammollita e ha messo su gli occhi a cuoricino. Avrei voluto vederla non dico per forza cattiva, ma un po' più stronza.
SPOILER: delusione su tutta la linea quando, dopo non aver minimamente cagato il lead inizialmente, ci fa invece sapere che a lei è sempre piaciuto. FALSAAAAAAAA.
Io non dimentico certe cose.
23) La scena o frase che ti è rimasta impressa: The Glory
SPOILER: Mi è sempre piaciuta molto la scena in cui Moon Dong Eun mostra a Joo Yeo Jung le cicatrici che porta sulle braccia, e lui stupendamente le dice: "Chi devo uccidere per questo?", o qualcosa del genere. Nessuna domanda, nessuna richiesta di spiegazioni, nessun moralismo o allusione al perdono. Dimmi solo il nome della persona che ti ha fatto questo e ci penso io. Adoro.
24) Il Villain peggiore: Bokura No Yuuki
Questo drama giapponese è stato carino dai, io l'ho visto volentieri. Il problema è stato il cattivo della storia, ovvero il governo, che con la scusa di un terremoto e di un virus dilagante rinchiude ragazzi e ragazze, e anche bambini e bambine, dentro quello che si può definire senza problemi un campo di concentramento.
Questi poveri disgraziati, e lo ribadisco, tutti molto giovani, vengono isolati e abbandonati a se stessi. Se c'è un virus e devono rimanere isolati lo capisco, ma il governo manda loro scorte di cibo ridotte che non bastano per tutti, non fornisce assistenza medica, la supervisione di adulti non esiste, l'educazione scolastica scompare.
In pratica vedi questi giovani personaggi che si arrangiano come meglio possono, che sopravvivono alla giornata, che cercano insomma di non morire e di uscire vivi da lì. Assurdo.
Tra l'altro io non ho mai capito come abbia fatto il governo a far passare la storia del terremoto che poi si è scoperto non essere mai avvenuto.
25) Una bromance spettacolare: One Piece
In One Piece ce ne sono di bromance a due a due, come quella di Sanji e Zeff, oppure di Luffy e Zoro. Ma io premio la bromance di gruppo, e credo sia la prima volta che premio una bromance di questo tipo.
La "Ciurma di Cappello di Paglia" mi ha conquistato e scaldato il cuore. C'è dello tsunderismo tra di loro, c'è crescita, c'è lealtà, ci sono ostacoli, c'è voglia di avventura per motivi diversi.
Fanno ridere e fanno emozionare. Mi sono ritrovata a ridere delle loro battute sceme, a tifare per loro nei momenti difficili, a continuare a guardarli con curiosità chiedendomi come sarebbero usciti da quella situazione e che cosa sarebbe venuto in seguito.
Questa davvero la posso definire una bromance spettacolare.
DOMANDA BONUS
Allora, ho superato con successo la sfida dello scorso anno che richiedeva di vedere:
Un drama storico/wuxia: Goodbye my princess
Un drama tratto da un libro/novel/manga/web webcomic: One Piece
Un drama che ha vinto almeno un premio: D.P.
Immaginavo che sarebbe stato piuttosto facile, infatti ho completato la challenge senza volerlo, senza nemmeno pensarci.
Credo che quella dell'anno prossimo sarà un po' più impegnativa... ottimo!
Comunque @dilebe06 ti ripeto anche qui che è un vero peccato non avere quest'anno la domanda sull'abilità o potere che si vorrebbe avere, perché tra The Gifted, Missing e One Piece avremmo faticato a scegliere!! Te se ama comunque XD
In questo video risponderemo alla domanda "A che gioco stiamo giocando!" con l'escape game di One Piece, un gioco da tavolo che aspettavo con impazienza sin da quando ne ho sentito parlare all'inizio dell'anno e che ho ricevuto il day one, un paio di settimane fa, grazie agli amici di Hirtemis!
Come ben sapete, le escape room sono tra i giochi da tavolo che preferiamo Around the Table. One Piece è attualmente il mio manga preferito e, anche se questo gioco da tavolo è basato sulla serie di Netflix, approcciando il gioco avevo una sensazione molto positiva, anche perché l'autore sembrava essere lo stesso delle escape room di Stranger Things. Sarà andato tutto come speravo?
Il gameplay di One Piece Caccia al tesoro Escape Game prevede 13 fasi di gioco: ogni fase rappresenta un enigma da risolvere tramite l'uso di carte indizio da incrociare con gli indizi presenti su 8 carte personaggi. Cinque carte rappresentano i membri della ciurma di Cappello di Paglia (Rufy, Zoro, Nami, Sanjy e Usop), queste carte saranno distribuite ai giocatori al tavolo, mentre le altre tre rappresentano i cattivi della serie e verranno usate solo quando il gioco lo richiederà! La risposta all'enigma sono 4 cifre da inserire nel manuale: se corrette, ci permetteranno di proseguire verso la fase successiva!
Gli enigmi di One Piece: Caccia al tesoro Escape Game sono perfettamente calati nell'ambientazione della serie Netflix, dando la sensazione al giocatore di accompagnare Rufy e gli altri nella loro avventura. Purtroppo, però, nell’esperienza di gioco ho riscontrato alcune problematiche che l'hanno resa frustrante e mi hanno portato a dover interrompere e riprendere più volte.
Durante il gioco, è normale non riuscire a trovare immediatamente la soluzione corretta degli enigmi e doverli risolvere più volte, e in casi estremi, consultare suggerimenti e soluzioni. In One Piece Caccia al tesoro Escape Game, mi è capitato di trovare l'esatto ragionamento a cui ero arrivato leggendo suggerimenti e soluzioni, ma le 4 cifre della soluzione differenti dlle mie, sebbene prossime. Questo stato di cose mi ha dato la sensazione (ripeto, sensazione, magari avrò comunque sbagliato qualcosa) di un errore di adattamento, grafico o materiale nella mia copia del gioco. Il secondo problema è l'assenza online del sito promesso sulla scatola e sul manuale, in cui inserire le cifre: quelle sul manuale sono in ordine crescente e spesso mi è capitato di controllare quelle corrette, il che porta inevitabilmente a fare metagioco. Queste due situazioni mi hanno causato una certa frustrazione che mi ha indotto a dilatare nel tempo l'esperienza di One Piece Caccia al tesoro Escape Game.
One Piece Caccia al tesoro Escape Game è un'escape game che aveva grosse potenzialità, ma che purtroppo non è riuscita a esprimerne al meglio. Forse è solo colpa mia che non sono stato in grado di capire effettivamente come muovermi nel gioco!
One Piece Caccia al tesoro Escape Game è un escape game, basata sulla serie One Piece di Netflix, per 1-5 giocatori , consigliato dai 14 anni in su con una durata stimata tra i 60 ed i 90 minuti edita in italia da MS Edizioni!
Why Marble Worktops Are the Best Choice for London Homes
London homes often blend historic charm with modern design elements, and marble worktops perfectly capture this balance. Whether you have a sleek contemporary flat in Shoreditch or a period home in Kensington, marble offers unmatched versatility.
Aesthetic Flexibility
Marble’s variety of colors and veins allows it to harmonize with different cabinetry finishes, from light oak to glossy lacquer or matte black. Its reflective surface also helps brighten smaller London kitchens by bouncing light around the room.
Sustainability and Longevity
In today’s eco-conscious world, investing in durable natural materials like marble is a sustainable choice. Unlike synthetic alternatives that may need replacing, marble can last a lifetime if cared for properly, reducing waste and long-term costs.
Här kommer du att hitta en härlig blandning av inspirerande bilder och djupare texter – allt för att ge dig en fullständig upplevelse.
Bilder som inspirerar Jag älskar hur vackra underkläder kan vara, och jag vill dela den passionen med er. Du kommer att få se bilder på allt från eleganta spetsar och minimalistiska basplagg till färgstarka set och statement-pieces. Jag hoppas att bilderna kan inspirera dig att hitta din egen stil och kanske våga prova något nytt.
Texter som guidar och fördjupar Förutom bilder kommer jag också att skriva inlägg där jag dyker djupare in i olika ämnen. Hur hittar man egentligen rätt bh-storlek? Vad ska man tänka på när man köper underkläder online? Och hur tar man bäst hand om sina favoriter för att de ska hålla länge? Dessa texter kommer att ge dig användbara tips och råd som du kan ta med dig i vardagen.
En plats för dig! Jag vill att den här bloggen ska vara lika mycket din som min. Om det är något speciellt du vill att jag ska skriva om, eller om du har en favorittrend eller stil du vill att jag ska utforska, låt mig veta! Tillsammans kan vi skapa en blogg som inte bara är inspirerande, utan också relevant och användbar.
