Penguin Random House Goes BOOM!
Penguin Random House Goes BOOM! #comics #comicbooks
After a few weeks of rumors, it’s official, Penguin Random House will acquire BOOM! Studios. The deal is expected to close later this summer. The news broke today (I was expecting an announcement at San Diego Comic Con). BOOM! was founded in 2005 by Ross Richie and and Andrew Crosby in part of a period of publisher growth. 19 years later, the comic publisher has outlasted them all and known for…

Random House Hunted Headcanon: Maison is genuinely terrified of people with pica. It isn't necessarily an irrational fear, either, considering his reasoning for it. Whilst not all people with pica have the same cravings, he is well aware that some of them have a craving to eat things such as drywall, plaster, or bricks. That, combined with the fact that people with pica are just humans with an odd craving, so they look like what he eats, scares him. The theoretical situation of somebody wanting to buy his house, deciding to buy based on the outside, then deciding to try to take a nibble on his drywall out of the blue since they have "already agreed to buy it" while not knowing he's a REALTOR causes him great fear. Worst part is, this "theoretical" scenario has happened to another REALTOR he knows, so he doesn't see it as out of the realm of possibility.
Despite his fear, he can't help but respect them, mainly due to the fact that he sees them as "innovators" and is unaware of how dangerous it is for humans to eat certain things. He also views them as equal to him in the food chain, considering that the person could, theoretically, eat him and that he definitely can eat them.
