I dont even use that many labels but i am forever sad that i cant make pride art or flag pfps for ME because i have a few too many flags. I mean being butch IS awesome, the butch pfp gives me a lot of confidence and just general euphoria but im also. WELL ALL THESE OTHER THINGS!

exactly. reclaimage is so personal. and it's unfair to decide for a whole group whether or not a slur is okay to use. that means both sides. no one should be able to say we can or can't use queer.

i'm okay with queer and f*g. i call myself a f*g all the goddamn time, but i also personally identify as queer. i know don't get to decide for a whole group of ppl whether or not that's also their ID. however, NO ONE can take those labels from me. not from my cold, dead, queer fingers. because that word brings me empowerment. that word has helped me shape my identity and maintain a solid sense of self throughout adolescence and my young adulthood. it can not hurt me.

y'all are really doing a great job at trying to erase all the gays in the community who also identify as queer (which they do exist, and i am one). it's not fair to make assumptions and to use posts like this to make harmful implications about ppl who identify as gay and/or queer. even if it isn't intended, u have to think before u post.
