Tucker was his way to meet up with his friends at Nasty Burger at sundown when a massive BOOM! was heard above him. Expecting a ghost he whips around with a fenton lipstick at the ready…

That isn’t a Natural Portal.

Whatever it was, it was some sort of portal, The blinding white lined wormhole was undulating 10ft above the ground. Tucker couldn’t even get a good look at it as its event horizon was like staring at the sun.

Tucker shielded his eyes but kept his weapon pointed at the wormhole looking thing.

Then a part of the event horizon dimmed as it was blocked by a human shaped figure. It took mere moments for Tuckers’ awe to transform from “holy shit someones coming through” to “OH SHIT!” as the figure promptly fell 10 feet from the entrance of the portal to the cold hard cement sidewalk like a bag of rocks.

Tucker creeped toward the figure in awe, barely even noticing the wormhole close above him. The man unconscious at his feet was an absolute tank of a man. Maybe not just metaphorically a tank either, metal cybernetic parts covering so much of his body were a gleaming silver chrome, the light reflecting off of the parts made his dark skin seem to glow.

Tucker’s fascination and awe stuttered when he noticed the injuries. One of the man’s mechanical legs looked like it was put through a woodchipper. The torn metal and ripped wires reminiscent of old train steam boiler explosions, the twisting and melded wires near hypnotic to look at. His torso and head wasn’t doing good either. A good chunk of the cyborg’s paneling was either dented or torn off and half of his cybernetic face had a bite taken out of it. Some holes deep into the intricate cybernetics below leaked a dark oil. Not only was that concerning, ever since his fall he hadn’t opened his eyes or moved.

Tucker shakily put two fingers to the neck of the man. A wet shaky laugh escaped his throat when he felt the cyborg’s pulse. With hands equally as shaky, he grabbed his iDalv 3 from his pocket and called Danny.

A tired yet happy voice was heard over the line, the background ambience of beeping fryer alarms and background chatter feeling jarring to the sounds of oil dripping from the cyborgs injuries and the quietness of the night.

“Hey Tuck, What’s up?”

“I- There’s a wounded cyborg man-”

Danny’s tone switched from jovial to serious “A what now?”

“I don’t think I can explain it over the phone. I’ll send you my location. This is all together ooky man.”

“On it.”

The tri tonal beep of the call ending was momentary before the soft dripping and crickets was all Tucker could hear. The crumpled man showed no signs of waking.

Tucker can’t help with the human part, but he sure as hell can fix the mechanical parts.

All he hopes is that the mystery cyborg man can explain what’s going on when he wakes.

Hot Rod: It kind of needs complete repairs

Drew some art for @tiesthatbind-tf 's Mirage and Hot Rod. If you look at the art here you can see the VERY complex armor that Hot Rod has, and how much of a pain it would be to repair.

Inspired by a real-life incident I am currently going through with a costume I made for someone two years ago. The ever-increasing modifications on that thing just keep coming back to haunt me.

fun facts:

-Mirage's setup is based on my actual sewing machine setup, I have a Panasonic Roadshow I keep on the table to watch VHS tapes as I work

-"As The Kitchen Sinks" was a soap opera in G1 that the Autobots listened to in the episode Prime Target, and what is written there is pulled directly from the episode. As I learned from my professional seamstress great-grandmother, soap operas and radio dramas are GREAT to have in the background when you're working.

ASK GAME

I bought a set of 90's looking speakers for USD$0.50 last week Friday, and I was hoping to get SOME use before I had to do any repairs, but alas they were not perfect 😔 The sound was off, the main speaker would sometimes shut off, and the volume knob would static every time you touched it.

But :) Yesterday I took it apart, replaced all the capacitors and resistors on the simple board it had, took the volume knob off to clean it with contact cleaner, and even replaced the green power LED with a brighter blue one :) Now it sounds correct, both speakers play, AND there a blue light on it 💙

i mean this in the fondest way possible but salvador is like some kind of small animal that shows up on your doorstep after being caught in the rain looking as soggy and miserable as possible. if you pick him up and shake him around i feel he would sound like laminated paper wobbling. i love this guy

Finally bit the bullet and bought the Iggee seat covers. Holy cow! Why did I wait? Went with the same OEM color scheme.

I stuffed a folded microfiber towel over the exposed metal but under the OEM cover. Just something to protect the new covers. Honestly should've done this and stitched it up beforehand to save my elbow, lol.

Night and day difference! The seats look brand new. It was well worth the time, effort and money.

They even have pockets on the back of both seats!

Edit: Nice, they asked to use my pics for the listing. Cool seeing another one my car builds used as an example for a part company/seller.

Saw your tags on my voyager post and im looking at getting a new phone since google bricked my old one. Is your fairphone good? As in, does the battery last a while? And does it lag/go slow? Ive not heard of the company before but a quick google tells me theyre good. Just want an honest user experience to decide

im not a heavy mobile user, but i have heard some people say that the battery life could be better. to counteract that however, you can swap the battery toollessly so i have an "emergency charge" battery. plus when battery health inevitable degrades you can easily swap in a new one. if you wanna compare it to other things, its a 4200mAh battery

never encountered any lag, and i doubt there would be any unless you are running particularly intensive tasks on it (its got like 8gb ram on the regular model and 6gb on the budget one, my old phone had like 2 lol)

i will mention a couple issues ive had though, firstly you arent at the bleeding edge of software updates, but they arent stagnated (in fact i have a software update i should probably go and put on now lol), and secondly theres ghosting on the pixels when youre at low brightness (but thats just a problem with oled panels in general i think), and thirdly it doesnt have a 3.5mm jack, but the bluetooth earbuds and headphones they offer are also repairable, with any batteries easy to replace. still not too fond of the lack of a headphone jack but ill take the option for repairable earbuds over nothing)

another problem that can be a deal breaker for a lot of people is the price. however thats really more "other phones are wayyyyy too cheap" and not "the fairphone is expensive", since they make it fair, the workers get paid far better and that moneys gotta come from somewhere. apparently i have a 50 euro discount code to refer people? so that can be something (will clarify that i get 25 euros of fairphone store credit for anyone who uses that. can still share it if you want) but it can be cheaper to buy it from a third party reseller

the fp5 was released in 2023 so the "its gonna last like 8-10 years" is based off that (have not heard any mention of the fp6 being on the horizon, but even having a phone last 6-8 years is still at least 2-3 times as long as the average phone, i got mine last year for example so ill get like 7-9 years), and its got a pretty good warranty (i think its 2-3 years by default and you can register for an extra 5?)

also i will admit i have some bias saying its good because my previous phone was, to put it lightly, complete shit (micro usb charging. thats the sort of level im talking about) so im wowed by some relatively basic features like an nfc reader and dp alt mode on the usb c port (if you dont know what that is, basically you can connect a dongle/usb hub and get a display output)

if you arent doing computationally intense/otherwise incredibly battery draining tasks all the time youll be fine.

Rush Rally 3 – excellent rally, fast and speedy

It is so good, that there are sales in Steam. It is about so big unbelievable huge sales, cutoff for prices for most different games. And, I pickup, already, pack of games. And, also, I go by the racing road. I take different racing games. Simply to play.

To try them out. So, I find such a racing game Rush Rally 3. There is in Steam, also, Rush Rally Origins. It is about a top-down view in Origins, so isometrical perspective. Everything is in 3d. And, even, so, arcade and real. Like life. And Rush Rally 3 – it is simulation or arcade about rally racing. As everyone knows them. View from a cabin, back view. Cool racing!

And, I start to play it. It is strange, that there is no part two of this game in Steam. I`d like to play it too! And this is third part. I play it! Cool arcade rally racing game. Even a simulation. I, also, can say, that. it is a simulation too. And. this is a good combination about arcade and simulation. As. Need for Speed 2 and 3, for example. It is main here – it is. So. funny and cool to play it!

There are lots of game modes. There are lots of cars to select from. About 20 items, maybe. And different rally from all over the world. With lots of roads. Different weather conditions. Day, night, snow. Locations from all over the world. Desert, snow. And, you can to upgrade your car as in Gran Turismo. To upgrade engine, for example. Lots of options. And, there are, also, only for visual side options. To change color, for example. You can spend time here with these activities here. To buy something new, and to do some color things, little car with colors. There are lots of little cars here! About 20 items. And, you can do these things with every car - a things you want to change in a certain car!

Tracks routes are made very good. You ride them fast. They are not getting boring. Turns. Turns. Straights for speed up. Everything is here. Sandy roads. Asphalt. Like it should to be with a rally. Graphics is bright. And beautiful. That’s why, I compare with Need for Speed 2 and 3. Very cool racing games. And so lots of gamers try to compare this game with game series Colin Mac Rae Rally. Maybe, also, something like second or part three. There is something about that games.

It is a big point that - racing itself it is very interesting process here. Sometimes, it happens, you go in a turn and go beyond the road. You find out yourself in a woods. You need to go out of them. Or you smash into the stone. It was a side of the road. It happens too! Yes, cars have a damage here. And you need to repair car. You are rising some funds after the race. And, you spend it to repair. And new cars, upgrades, visual view. By the way, if car is broken – so, you can see it on the road. Car can barely to make a turns. Or, go slow. And, you have a feeling, that something wrong is with the control. It is good made moment!

Racing it is very entertaining thing. Carrier mode – it is a rally all over the world. And here you can select different competitions. More easy type of game, more hard. A professional track. Or night racing. It has a very big diversity! And this is carrier mode. And there are also a different game modes, and you can just have a simple race. And you also can rise funds there. And you can ride and something new to take. It is cool! Later go back in a carrier!

Game is good to play with keyboard. And with gamepad too. And I play with gamepad. It is absolutely beautiful. And control in menu with mouse. Or with gamepad, and this is like arcade machine, it seemed to me a little. Arcade feel and funny point. As rally from Sega. Daytona Usa, or Sega Rally. Well, there is something similar. So simple way to say, Rush Rally 3 – it is good super arcade racing simulation! Rally.

It is so interesting to ride in different weather conditions. This thing is made here a good way.  When it was a dark sky. And it is like a horror movies. And later green forest. Opposite thing. And this is already a joyful mood about racing. And this is rally. Simulation, by the way. It is not boring! Funny!

Cool theme. If It is, so, boring, anyway, to make a circles here, make a turns. So, there are lots of modes here. View from a cabin is here. And different views from back. And new cool form – there is no such a thing in any other games – it is such a view from the top down, isometrical. But, by the way, graphics is so realistic. Bright. It is very beautiful. And, you start to see the racing game as a new, new side of the game. You see tracks as a new thing. Top down view – you need to try this view! When you ride with back view. Cool thing. It has a big diversity. There are lots of interesting here! Main point, there are lots of options. And it races with a funny way. It is interesting to ride here. Cars are different. I have already three or four cars. And I do upgrade them. They have a different behavior on the road. It is most simple thing to see. It is a moment, that speed of the car by characteristics. But with turns, you need to be carefully. And there are cars, when they ride not so fast. And how good is control. It is most dramatic example. And all of these – you can to upgrade.

It is very cool simulation arcade game. With most bright graphics and heap with everything else. About a racing it is so good emotions. And it is such artistic work. Cars, tracks. How does it look. Somekind of mountains. With a sand. Or forest, with lots of trees. So, rains are going on. Or bright sky. It is so straight eyes in the sun. Everything is here! And it is artistic beautiful game!

Graphics is with bright style is made and it is also a realistic. It is a big plus here. Little positive. And rides series are so fast. One race you ride after another race. And you get your positive! I suggest to try this game. Especially, with the background about WRC6 as game. For example. Some analog.
