Countryside fun

So, these are my little plastic flowers. This is decorative little fence. It says that something beyond it is growing there. Some kind of flowers. They are small yet. And later they will grow. And all around it is everything so green already. Well, June 2025 was with rains. And it was full of rains and cold.

But there, there were sunny little days too. Joyful. And warm. Everything is green. Grass is already grown. And all the garden little road was overgrown. How nice it is to watch at these green. Blue sky. And everything is so calm. So, same from day to day, stable. My endless summer. And excellent summer mood.

Good and kind and joyful mood. It is best time to watch the things around and have joy. To make a smile. There is a place in a world for a green and good and kind. Summer. Little sun is smiling too. And everything around is growing. Everything is so beautiful.

Magic 320 x 240. I play Quake for windows

I have a wonderful retro computer. Which I restore to working state. I bought it as not working. And repair it. And now I play it! I play at Quake for windows. From the last attempt. I go fast along the lots of  levels.

So, I start it sad. I stuck in very beginning, for he first attempt. And I was doing circle after circle. I am playing without sound right now. Yes, I, also, had thought, that Quake without sound - it is boring. Well, maybe, it is not enough of music and sounds. But, well, you know, it is a retro effect. And without sound it is, also, good way to play. It is rather good game process. It is, also, interesting!

And, I was walking a long time at the start levels. I remember, that Cthulhu big door. Which is bigger than you about several times. And, I, always, return to big hall. I never get it where to go. So, I do not understand, that point. I am playing with exciting cool trash format 320 x 240. I think that this way you need to play Quake as a real thing.

Without any smooth effects or high definition. Maybe, it is a thing about a resolution? Dark! And, well, you know, you cannot understand anything. Often little walls are made with pixels. I am, already, forget that pixel horror. About a good ideas about these words. Someplace, something Quake it is like a horror movie. Or atmosphere is such gothic. Cthulhu is about this.

So, this is a trick, there are two passages there. And you need to go to small one. So, I did not notice it, all the time. As I understand now. So, I enter it. And next, I easy to go without problems somewhere up to level 5. And I remember level number 3. This is necropolis or this way something. I write it by memory. As a gamer. And so artistic way.

And this level it is so creepy. And I was interested into this. About a point, that to do my own trash small game based on this level. Something short. As a little demo. But now I do not have skills yet.

This is like castle. And swamp. Brick walls. And swamp. There are lots of dead walkers there. Full creep. As a real thing. All these dead they scream. I play without sound. But memory just like makes a sound for me, sometimes. And you cannot kill them at all. They fall. And later they rise again. And it adds more of scary points.

And next one or two levels. I run them fast. Even do not notice. And take into account, that I was lost at the second level. So, I am very exciting about this point. One of the levels. Dark castle is a title. And yes, I also remember a knights, they attack you. Dark castle – it is such a style, I say. For several levels.

And I am at the stage. Where you enter the mirror. Yes, these are connected with dark magic, I am sure. And it is a big room there. And such a white monster. As a snowman. This is like a boss. So, I stopped there. I catch a key there. And run from this monster. With claws. And yes, as idea, I have a rocket launcher in my hands. But I, already, try to destroy it, several attempts. But, I failed! Well, at least, I can run. And it is a circle style of level. Always it is possible to return to this room with monster.

What can I say. I like a lot to play with resolution 320 x 240. And with my Windows 2000 computer. With such huge pixels graphics. And everything so dark there. This is exciting game! Which you can play cool with 320 x 240. I even do not see the reason to change the resolution. It is possible to rise it up to 640 x 480.

Or even up to 1024 x 768. I guess, it has even this. But it is everything so small to become. All menus. Well, graphics, yes. It changes a little. So again it looks as a new. But I like really a lot these 320 x 240. And I will play with this format.

Atmosphere of black magic or dark magic. And very such pixelated walls. How nice to remember all of these again. Many years ago, I played certain this kind of Quake. And so, i think it is a horror and atmosphere this game has. Some kind of mystics! With 320 x 240.

Mole crawled out soil

Mole come to your place as a guest. He digs a hole. And go to your place for a tea. He crawls out soil. And wave a little hand.

Mole speaks: “Hello!”

He waves with a hand. And he is so black. And nose is so pink. And all around - it is excellent summer day. Such a hot day. Lots of sun. Everything is green. Flowers are growing, best they can. Delicious carrot, radish. Everything is growing! It is excellent time for a tea!

Weather is very exciting. Grasshoppers and insects are singing their songs in a grass. And so, mole at little field. Where everything is with soil. Mole is crawling out always at this place. With idea not to harm flowers.

By the way, it is he, who put in soil carrot and radish. And it has grown already! So, this is fun. He collects it. And bring to his little house.

And for now, he reaches your place as a guest to drink a tea. Good summer tea. Mole brings with him a tea. Small present.

Door to the garden

Door to the garden. It is its own green world there. It is huge. And endless. And world of endless summer. And such old door. Magical wooden door. Little door is little broken. It is such and old door. And magical world of summer.

Lets go to the garden! Lets go and see what is there! There are lots of everything green! This is amazing place. There are lots of green plants. Bush. Grass.

Door to the garden. This is so magical! As a door to magical summer for a schoolboy. Every summer I always run to the countryside. When I was a schoolboy. And I spent all summer there. And it was so interesting there! Everything is green. And I remember a lot that garden.

Strange autumn June

I start my countryside season. And, it is, already, first month of summer passed. June. It is away. Everything is allright! Countryside. And summer – this is my favorite time. To be at the countryside - this is funny and great. But, one moment. This summer surprise me a lot. It is insert a strange cold to a sequence of warm summers.

Fact is, that summer 2025 – it is cold summer. June was cold. And all the month it was more like early autumn. When it is stay to be here a pieces of summer. Rains and leaves are yet green. So, it was this way.

Such a dark sky. Well not gloomy, but clouds. There are lots of them. And lots of rains. Rains and clouds. Cold. Little cold. And this is a strange kind of summer 2025. First month, little sad, is cold. Even early autumn, this way. This is also interesting. Well, of course, I was waiting for standard warm and hot summer.

Anyway, there were some little warm days. About 20 degrees Celsius about warm. There were such days. But there were lots of cold days. So even hard to run with shorts. I felt cold. It so good at the countryside when it is summer. And when autumn - it is interesting. But also, a little gloom. So, this is my discovery because of this cold summer.

Cold summer. I am having a hope for warm and sunny summer as usual. It helps me a lot, as usual! And this time - cold. Autumn. Little gloomy. Rains. And cold again. I am saved because of some warm little days. Anyway, I give my best to run with shorts.

This summer is strange. Cold. I am very surprised. About a point that summer can be cold. All June was cold and rains. And I during the June was waiting for summer day. And there were few of them. But they were. And lots of autumn. This is so strange for me.

Grass is green. Beautiful and amazing. Anyway it is so funny to run to the countryside. But well, I skip some weekends in June, and not go to countryside some times. Because of I understand – that I cannot run there with shorts, and it is cold.

But grass is green. And anyway, it is interesting at the countryside. Even cold June by weekends, and is till mainly go to countryside,  more I go, than stay at home. It is amazing that grass and plants feels themselves rather good with this weather, with such cold climate. So, these are my amazing discoveries about cold summer 2025. But grass is rising! Cold - yes. But still with lots of rains. There is no drought. It is gloomy. But raining. So gothic. This is autumn-summer!

Everything is green and beautiful. Summer. But not sunny for this time. This is my mind, thinks about these things. I more think, that autumn can look like this. Or its first days. And not a first month of summer. This is so strange for me.

And still grass is green. Just like it is so warm at the street. But I walk with shorts. About 20 Celsius degrees. Shorts - it is symbol of summer. And there is some minimum of this. But it is also such an autumn. Warm autumn. Which appears in June. This is so strange! Strange June! So, autumn. And not so  strong summer. But grass is green and at the calendar it is summer!

Mainly, I like autumn mood, if say it the truth. But during summer, I want more to receive as a flower – positive and sunny little days!

Swamp saga about magic and sorcery

Pixel art for today based on videogame Champions of Krynn for computer game Amiga. Fantasy saga. As big and huge as Baldurs Gate or Icewind Dale. Dungeons and dragons. A thing you wish for, if you are a true computer games fan! I remember how I spent hours with Might and Magic 6-8, Arcanum.

And this is my drawing based on Champions of Krynn (Amiga). You are in dungeons. This is mines or underground passages. There is a place for magic ore. And there is place for underground passage. And rooms. Where lives underground creatures. Troglodytes, goblins. Minotaurs. Passage through these passages will lead you to swaps lands. Forest and swamp.

There is castle there. At the swamp. You need to go there. And ask about snake amulet. Temple of snake is involving into this. And in the castle someone can know about this. But there, also, lizards are living. And first you need to help them to free their swamp from the troglodytes and minotaurs. This is rather hard.

But, they can let you to build your own castle just before entrance to these caves. You to defend them.

Last, it is Might and Magic 7. So there you have ability to have your own castle. Wow! And I am a fan of fantasy games. But they requires lots of free time! Maybe I can play later. One day in weekend. And Might and magic 8 it is about temple of the snake. Cult of the snake. Wow! So fantasy memories!

Acer Extensa – FreeDoom phase 2! I am at the second phase!

I try to learn retro systems. And, this is my linux comp. Acer Extensa. Two cores with 1.5. And 4gb ram. About 160gb hard drive. It is with Q4OS. This is light weight linux. Rather nice looking. And, it has a easy to use packet manager. Which, I use to install lots of everything. Also including games. At first look, you have things to select from.

I have installed FreeDoom phase 1,2. For example. They are going with Chocolate Doom. And with its own graphics. And with its own levels. First, I start with - Phase 2. Something like, I have phase two, you know. Joke. I start it. And, I was very surprised. New wow graphics and new levels. And, that computer has a sound. I play with multimedia headphones.

I go through three or four levels. Well, walk them, you know, walk here and there. Levels are big. And, sometimes, they reminds with elements of design a levels from Doom or Hexen. Heretic or Doom 2. There is something familiar. But, this is cozy similar points. Mainly. Levels are absolutely new. And, rather complex. You need to walk and walk here. To press buttons. To make circles. To enter some places, where you cannot enter from the first time or forget.

And, new graphics. New weapons and monsters. They are cool. And, I remember a lot monster, which looks like a snake. Also, they are interesting - a first enemies. They are like humans zombies. Graphics is very cool. And so bright. And atmosphere. I do not feel something this way for a long time. Like MS DOS miracle. With heart beat, I do load again and again after some pause and try to find what place to go next. And, every time, I see a new graphics. New corridor.

I remember a lot a moment. Walk by corridor. Little door close behind. Monsters. And in the end of long corridor there is a button. And, open door is open state again.  Wow. Moment! Moments, it is similar as a long levels from heretic. Or hexen. Those game with huge levels. And walk and walk here and there. But, as a good point, here, they are not so huge. Rather ok normal size. This is great!

Phase 2. Game is a good game! I never think, that Doom can have remade version with so good way. I try also Phase 1. And I was stuck there at the first level. There are, there, so big radioactive puddle. And I think, I need to do something.

So, I am at the phase 2 for now. So, I go backward way. Later, I play Phase 1. Excellent weekend! I do not have a good weekend for a long time!

Linux is a good system as I see now. Because of this MS DOS theme. Well, game is looks like MS DOS. And this is so amazing.

Grass and planks

Summer. And this means – countryside. Countryside time. Grass and garden. And some countryside things. Planks. Also, good association with countryside theme. So, planks are at the grass.

In barn – there are lots of different stuff. There are some planks, they are laying there. And rusty things. So, there are few planks from barn. They are rather not bad. And grass is all around.

It is so summer landscape. Planks and grass. If to look closer, plank even with nails. They are so curved. Wow! Someone put some efforts to score and curve next! And at the side near - the grid. Something is growing! Character of countryside place. Grass and planks.

The Secret Chord - Checkpoint Charlie – gothic retrowave

I am listening retrowave. This is interesting genre of electronic music. Like modern 80s. It has very cool sound. And so, in network I find out for myself Secret Chord. Checkpoint Charlie. I do not know what does it means. But I like this song about its sound.

And I listen this song again and again. And it is not enough for me. All the thing is in the sound. It is very nice combination of retrowave, 80s, and like gothic, cold war, post punk. And such melancholy with a sound. And melodic line. And this song catches me a lot. So, it is something about cold war. I am hope, that only about art image. Well, they are musicians.

Sound is modern. And, still at the same, time this is 80s. These are synthesizers and cold melancholy sound of gothic. This gothic I like. This is certain about gothic art mood. And, still same time, it is retrowave. Melody with synth at the top. As gray or white color clouds. In a dark sky.

First, it starts with a beat. Just a beat. Like drum machine. And next goes electro guitar. Very typical kind. And this is a thing I really like! It is really a cool theme! And melody goes. And vocal. Everything catches me with this song! Melody and rhythm. Sounds a melancholy. And rhyme goes next.

Nobody crosses this point.

She can do cool way to share with a mood of such autumn sky. And asphalt. Clouds. Gray or dark. Or even someplace they are lighter. And without rain. But there are lots of theme, in the sky. They are intense to be there. And asphalt. Black or gray. And sun can make it little lighter. When it exists.

This song catches me so a lot! And it has exciting guitar and synthesizers they do a good rhythm. And guitar is so cycle. And vocal is so great. I am lucky, I run at this song. And listen and listen.

Frozen Arctic Station –  snow and helicopter

So story is finished already. Next, you will go along the frozen station already. Everywhere it is snow. It is wind blowing. Sometimes earthquake. And everything is destroyed. There is no roof. And blizzard. At the something that is left after the station.

You call by radio for help. You send SOS signal. And you enter through the hole in a wall, during a snow desert. It is strong wind. And lots of snow. You wait helicopter!

And again return to programming phase. This time, I need, simply, to sort all the story with the files for reading. And code all labyrinths. And to write it to program code. What to take, and what to read. In right order.

You are in a snow. You are crawling along the totally destroyed part of the station. It is snow there. Wind. Blizzard. And you are walking. Along the corridors. Walls are destroyed. Last thing you need to do – it is to get out. And to wait for red helicopter. Which will land from the sky. Through the white storm. Snow and blizzard – they are very strong.

And what was before? And before it was a frozen part of the station. But less strong. It is still growing there mold and mushrooms. Along the walls. But already a hard way. Because of cold is block their grow. It makes them be slow.

And this is already final stage of development. For this super huge for me project. I solve task about programming. They tasks that was. They were not prepared before. And as it was during the process. It was hard. It requires math mind. Next it is write story. Tow rite small story – it is possible.

And as far as you go - it is going down all the potential.  I write 190 game scenes, approximately. And in the end, I just give a story. Without sides to go. I make a decision. Just final make. This is big development for me. For the last time.

I need to make conclusions. About how it better to do. And anyway to prepare to make final steps for this little game. And start to prepare new pack Basic Pascal.

Game was as idea from the head. After big impressions from retro computers. So something like if you see Wizardry 1 and labyrinth with first person view. Or Ultima 1. Schematical labyrinth.  And it is also with some interesting story. All of these made a big impression for me. And I make a decision to make one day my own labyrinth. And my own story.

So this is a valuable program code for me. I am closer to something like this. To touch with a form of program code, the things I desire. This is so valuable. This is great.

 Frozen station, and walk the labyrinths. And even interaction with objects. Most of time, it is about to interact with computer. With them, character get to know something new. About virus. And what is going on at the station.

Science fiction story, labyrinths. And text. Which you need to read. And that all reminds about programming with basic. Game is made, by the way, with programming language QB64.

How beautiful is this world – pink little flower

Lupin can be different. And pink too. So light color. Closer to white, and not black. Such a light color. And pink. Rather, unusual color. And, flowers, by the way, can be so different.

With so different colors. I am not surprised, that little bee, fly and insects like these flowers so much. I am, also, watching at them. Flowers - it is so beautiful!

 I am, already, get used to blue color. And, now, – pink flower. More rare color. So, it is growing much less at my place. I even do not pay attention to it at the first time. So, it was someplace at the side.

And, how big is his flower place itself. It is moving at the top. And it consists with petals. It is very amazing spectacular view!

Anasa, Aviron - Reset (Psytrance) – beauty of underwater world

Summer, this is so cool time! It is time to swim! And to dive! And, if summer is full of rains, then you can dive into music. So Cosmic Leaf records do upload new single. Reset. It is about a mood. Summer and so magical and something dynamical. I am something about to dive – because it has beautiful picture with flowers and sea weeds and for a dive tool like gasmask. But everything is beautiful. And colorful!

Track is about 5 minutes. It does not take lots of your time. But, it will shake with some summer vibes. Maybe, with a little wind with a hot day. Or, maybe, with drops of water from the sea. It is possible. This is single. Genre psy trance. I am not good about electronic music genres. So, I cannot say something about this genre.

And, by sound it is, rather, cool electronics. With synths. Track goes good. Rhythm and melody. So fantastic. Space. Move, drive. And tempo. And melodic line. Drive. And beauty. As hippie a little, maybe. About flowers and beauty of the world. But, with a picture about a diver. But, it is everything so decorative and colorful.

So, lets swim. Movements starts to go after second minute. With so strange effect. Like some one saw the wood. And next this effect to disappear. And, it goes, rather, dance moments. And little more intense. Like someone add volume up. Once again, a little with effects. Such strange jam, seize sounds.

And calm part. Moment. So valuable moment. And synths as space. I, also, start to think about summer relax. A thing we all need.

And, next, it is little intense part as retrowave, as a moment. As cyberpunk. And, once again, a move dance theme. Cool and so refreshing track! For a summer! To dive into the water! With a music ideas! Beauty of the world. Beauty of underwater world. Very good electronic track.

Penguin and his friends!

Pixel art for today based on videogame Penguin Land for game console Sega SG 1000. It is funny and joyful videogame. About good and kind little penguin. Which have a joyful life. He runs and jumps in iced labyrinths.

And this is drawing based on Penguin Land (SG1000). Joyful and good and kind little penguin. 8 bit. He run in labyrinths. He crawl with ladders. And he laugh a lot. Laughing – it is helps a lot. To be joyful and positive.

So here there are his friends. Ghosts. And another penguin kind creatures. But this is not a penguin! This is a secret who is he!

Inside of the build with snow round thing. Whole labyrinths! And you can find delicious ice cream there. And shining iced things!

Unique point of grass

My photo project grass is to continue. Look, how different it is. Grass under the feet. So, you think it is always the same? I think this way too. And, it is so different. There is big one. There is smaller. And different plants.

And, everything is so green. There is a vision, that world become green. And sunny. Summer. And at the countryside to run through grass – It is most fun thing to do at the world. So, it seems to me. And, this is really funny! But, it is so different.

For example, summer is cold this year. Lots of raining and like autumn. And, there is one thing amazing – grass is green and it feels good. Everything is growing. Everything is green! So, grass is easy to deal with cold.

Amazing thing - these grass. Most casual thing near your countryside place! Look carefully! This is very green and beautiful event!

Iru Intro – Quaka for Windows

I play for the first time at Iru Intro. My old computer. I am a happy player. And, it is with Windows 2000 SP4. Cool operational system. But, for the weekend – most best thing it is a game for weekend. To test system. I decide to play first Quake. There is version 1998 year. Re release from Activision. It goes with Quake. With three forms. This is Quake for Dos. Win Quake and GL Quake.

And, by the way, for now, I have played at Win Quake. Quake for windows, this is a full title. Such a long and loud name. Quake under the windows. So, in a short. OpenGl version not works for me, because of I do not have installed open GL. So, Windows version. Ms Dos version for Win2000, also, cannot start.

So, there is one interesting thing. That in Quake for windows it is a resolution. 320 x 240. 640 x 480 and 1024 x 768 as max. By the way, 320 x 240 is looking very good! Very pixelated and creep! And, it is going good for Quake! Industrial kind! Dark kind! Gothic! Creep. Such a gray pixels. Darkness. With a higher resolution it, someway, adds something like sharpness. And it is, already, not so big atmosphere. So, it is find out, a point, that to play Quake it is cool with 320 x 240.

I play it with keyboards. Mouse with this version is not very useful. And it, almost, does nothing. Short, this is like Doom for MS DOS, control is here. With keyboard everything. Saying the truth I have little issue. With my computer, there is no sound driver yet. Well, you know. To play Quake without sound. Well, this is scary! A little loss of atmosphere. Well, what can I do!

I am without sound, at all. I go to the second level only now. Well, I was lost there. At the second level. I cannot, there is a big door there, to open it. Such dark and gothic hall. And it has a passage to underwater. Water is so muddy. Yellow or green. Everything is floats before they eyes. Cool exciting effect.

And, this version of Quake, I see as a something new! I am playing! Well, maybe, to try another episode. I start from the beginning. So, it has several episodes. You can select any of them. You are running to the special little rooms. And select episode. Such a starting hub. This is, also, a cool theme.

And, also, I remember about something additional disks, with addon, there were lots of them for Quake. Like Quake after shock. Aftershock. So, I want to try to play too! It should to have a new levels!

Quake for windows – it is interesting game solution for old systems. And resolution at 320 x 240 – this is exciting! So, these are amazing results! And sorry I cannot go far. But, I run different episodes for a while.
