It's been quite awhile since we posted a Dropbox meditation or shared one of any kind! But here's one at last - and worth your while. It's a Vagus Nerve Meditation, meant to help tone this nerve, also known as the Tenth Cranial Nerve. Also known as "the wandering nerve', this nerve is the longest in our bodies and being able to tone it, as it affects so many organs, is key to mastering optimal health. More information about anatomy and effects in this 12 minute meditation created by Barbara, a Holistic Alameda contributor and a regular meditator. What do you do when you need to relax and recharge? 🕯🌿💎 • Asking for a friend 🤣🤣... jk, I have to admit — this isn’t my strong suit. I usually go balls-to-the-wall until I realize I’m about to snap, then have to take a long breather. I’m trying to be better about it recently.. not beating myself up when I can’t work due to 2-year-old antics / life, etc... this weekend I definitely made some space for just relaxing with the family - NOT running a list in my head the whole time of what needs to be done 🤪... I know that as much as I am capable of profound thoughts and deep introspection; I am also an unliscensed copy of windows vista running on pretentious clockwork gelatin.
Consider that being kind, respecting the enigmatic inner machinations of other's minds, and remaining humble will not hurt you.
In fact, those are respectable virtues that people seek out as an indicator of good character; and should make it a little easier to both make friends and to be a friend.
If you ask for, and accept help, even people that may not like you will probably give you a second chance.

#BostonRedline85 has come to its conclusion. What a wonderful & historic month! We accomplished all we came to do. Raise awareness on Redlining, its cultural effects & the 33-year life expectancy difference between Roxbury and Back Bay , collect data for curriculum development, and test our overall project month infrastructure, including our in-person streaming capacity. #Blackengineering We have learned a lot on how to better develop our project months moving forward. Our youth project month (Summer Project 2023) July 5th - Aug 12th . See you next year for #BostonRedline86. We gave respect and honor to our Bostonian ancestors who were expelled from the South End during Urban Renewal. 60% of this community was destroyed during the 1960's Our youth will be all set with new culturally engaging content with all the progress we have made during this Black History Month. We live streamed 14 events from 8 in person locations with 6 virtual livestreams. These different spots gave us the opportunity to test our streaming capacity. The youth will take over these jobs this summer. #blackengineering We have so many people to thank for their support. We thank the Office of Economic Opportunity and Inclusion & Black Male Advancement Office for their support.
