Legends Never Die, They Just Need Some Time and Change
You know, I'm still bummed about Mega Man Legends 3. I never played the first two games. Heck, my first exposure to the franchise was the NT Warrior cartoon.
I joined the devroom, voted in the contests, everything.
I bought the 3DS exclusively for the game, only to be disappointed with its cancellation.
I joined the Get Me Off the Moon movement; we made waves, did Q&As, livestreams, preserved devroom pieces. Capcom said "Yeah, we hear you, but it's not happening."
Does that mean we should give up, after being part of developing what is essentially our game?
No.
While we may not get the game going right now, we can wait for the legacy collection to catch up.
For those who don't know, Capcom needs money in order to operate. Their resources are finite and they must make decisions to ensure they make a profit. That's why they treat certain games (Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Monster Hunter) the same way Activision makes CoD games, a surefire way to make money. However, they also release ports to gauge fan reaction in order to make games of their other respected franchises.
It's called "The Capcom test."
If port sales are good, they can make an estimated guess, take a chance, and make a game related to said port.
Megaman legacy collection sell good? Megaman 11.
X legacy collection sell good? XDive Offline.
Zero/ZX legacy collection sell good? Eh, not really, but you kind of expect that when those games are both niche and hard, something you can't rely on if you want to make a profit.
Battle Network legacy collection sell good? Yep.
Each of those collections have reached $1M within two months of release, except Zero/ZX.
And now we have two sub series left: Starforce and Legends.
I'm predicting Capcom will release Starforce first in 2026. Why? That would be the twentieth year anniversary of its japanese release. Why the Japanese release and not international? It would help space out releases between collections, since 2027 would be the thirtieth year anniversary of legends.
And this is crucial. When (and I mean WHEN) Capcom releases the Legends legacy collection (with better controls, HD graphics, all that good modern stuff), and it sells well (like a million copies), then the higher ups would start negotiating if they should finish the story and finally agree to developing Mega Man Legends 3.
But until then, keep making noise. When people say "vote with your wallet," Capcom takes it to heart. So vote megaman. Buy the legacy collections. Buy multiple copies. Join their super elections website, and vote blue bomber.
Because Legends Never Die.

Mega Man franchise (near) complete anniversary calendar
Since I couldn't find this anywhere else online (Seriously! Why doesn't this exist!), here's a mostly complete collection of the release dates of every single megaman franchise game and some extras. I've tried to keep it to one line per game where feasible but this has led to some abbreviations such as "PS1" instead of "Playstation".
This calendar will always count the earliest release region and platform and for dual release games I've not included the subtitles as some of the listings would get very long.
Mega Man Battle network legacy collections 1&2 both released for PS4 but since they are digital only, this effectively acts as being released for both PS4 AND 5 so I listed 5 as I feel it's the more relevant choice.
If I've missed any games please comment to let me know :D (or if I've made any mistakes! I've already fixed some things based on feedback!), I was going to include all the manga series too as those particularly interested me but it was too difficult to track them all down with dates so I haven't bothered but I can always come back in future to edit this, if anyone knows about them: please send me a DM!. I may also add the Mega Man complete works artbooks at some point too, but I can't be bothered researching that rn. If you REALLY want them on the timeline, comment or DM.
If any wiki resource or anything wants to use this feel free but please for the love of god fact check it please, as I write this sentence it is 1am and I very may well have written something wrong or used a source that has incorrect information.
If anyone wants this formatted like a regular hangup calendar, let me know and I'll consult the graphic design department (Don't worry @faustisgettingviolent I'm not talking about you)
*I speculate this one was released around October 21st 1994 due to the fact that it came very near the release of Mega Man The Wily Wars. As both games acted as a sort of campaign to introduce sega players to Mega Man it's likely they were intended to release around the same time, however the wily wars never saw a physical American release. If anyone has a source for the game gear games original release date please do let me know.
Comment if you share a birthday with a piece of Mega Man media.

These are always fun! Let's GOOOOOOOO!!!
Last song: Megalomania from the 2022 remake of Live A Live.
Last Book: Rockman-san (which I guess is now being localized as "Mr. MegaMan"). The main gag of the manga kinda overstays it's welcome for most of it. But DANG was the finale good!!!
Last Movie: Not counting whatever my son has on in the background whenever I'm in the living room, I think it was the Animated version of Hobbit. (I watched it with my brother on Thanksgiving.)
Last Game: Just finished introducing my son to Pokémon Snap on the N64. But I am gonna go play more Baldur's gate 3 after my son goes to bed.
Last TV Show: My son has been OBSESSED with the OG Pokémon series! It's been a blast going back through it with him!
Sweet/Spicy/Savory: I have a MAAAAAAJOR sweet tooth! Sweet every time!
Relationship: Happily married! I love my wife!!!!
Favorite Color: Green!!!!!! 💚
Last Internet Search: "Is the mega man zero/zx legacy collection on steam any good?" I saw that it was on sale on steam. But my brother said that he heard it was a real bad port of the games. So I wanted to look into it.

What do you think about Rockman X Dive being delayed to September due to popularity? Is it a good thing? Is Megaman getting revelant again? What about the Megaman Zero / ZX "Legacy Collection" ? Chances for ZX3?
Remember, delays are never a bad thing, necessarily. And being delayed because a lot of people suddenly want to try it, now that the contest and the beta cap has been lifted, certainly at least seems like it bodes well for interest in the game. The whole point of the delay seems to be so that the experience goes off without any issues, along with delivering even more content to try out, so that’s great! Even better for me; pushing it back that week means I’ll actually be on vacation from work and actually be able to play it more than I would have, previously. So the timing works out great, for me! XD
To say that Megaman is relevant again, suppose that’s how you want to look at it. While sales of 11 and the X Legacy Collection have been awesome, if you compare it to AAA titles, you probably wouldn’t say the franchise is, per se. But in terms of the last 9 years or so, since the dark ages of Inafune’s departure and Legends 3′s cancellation, I would certainly say it has revived and is starting to gain a new generation of players interested in it. At least this time around, Capcom’s reviving of old titles - and forcing us old-timers to repurchase the same old games in slightly altered packages - is bringing about new games for many Mega Man series as well. Likely the only way Capcom could gauge interest in getting around to a new ZX game would be to package it with Zero. ZX/ZXA never sold all that well if I remember correctly, so perhaps this is the best sign that a third ZX game could theoretically happen, one day. This world might just be reset after all! And if it does, let the Legends 3 revival rumors go full blast!
In terms of what we’ve seen for the collection so far, in trailers and whatnot:- I’m not all that enamored with the pixel graphics filters. Like, I think for some of the backgrounds it can help, but for the characters, I’m not as keen on it. - Glad that with the art gallery, we’ll finally be able to see ZX official art and concepts in nice resolution! If only we could get those in like an artbook or digital press kits or something after all these years!! *ahem*- Casual mode for the Zero series? What is this making it easy for new players?! LOL Code Name: -Invulnerable Pacifist-- The Z-Chaser bonus content game doesn’t feel all that special, but I guess it’ll be worth a try or two. But just a straightforward time-attack race? That doesn’t appear to grade you on enemies destroyed or health, but just on your time? Meh. Zero’s stages and ranking system are already more in depth than that. It’s like a weakening of Zero’s core gameplay! Why is that a bonus game?- The remix selection feels small, if we’re only getting 10 tracks. Maybe due to the fact we’ve had them remixed so often on official CDs, it just feels a little disappointing. In many ways, I would hope remastered tracks, like from Telos, Mythos, Resonnant Vie, etc. are included as in-game options. Although I doubt it. The samples of 4 that we have heard are all popular tunes, and it certainly sounds like Kitagawa and the team that created the X Legacy remixes are behind this as well. Like the X Legacy remixes, it’s a style that I both love, but need to hear repeatedly for it to grow on me. The guitar sounds great, but the electronica of the songs can be really jarring at first. Like, it feels muddled/distorted and doesn’t mesh with the guitar in places. Or you just expect more live instruments in places, like the piano in Trail on Powdery Snow, than the synth stuff. But once the guitar takes over, and I’m like, yeah, this sounds awesome.
- The limited edition villain art print is pretty sweet. Who knows how the bust will turn out. The Rockman 11 1-Up head certainly was not quite what I expected as a final product, so I don’t know how the half & half bust will look when it’s not just an official art piece spliced together. But I might just have to preorder that.
- I’m not sold on the 5-in-1 Legacy box set until I can see what the box will even look like. Like, that’s still too expensive to rebuy all those Legacy Collection titles again, and to just get a Rockman 11 script which doesn’t seem that impressive, and an acrylic print of that Game Informer art. Right now, that just feels like an easy pass.

X-Whips(Battle Network AU) NetNavis 2/2
Ever since the MegaMan Battle Network Legacy Collection came out and I've been playing it, I've had NetNavis on the brain, so I decided to try reinterpreting some MegaMan characters from across the Robotics timeline(Classic->X->Zero->ZX->Legends) into NetNavis for the X-Whips.
If you want to see them all in a lineup, check out my lineup pic on DeviantArt
1. Dragoon.EXE, based on Magma Dragoon from MegaMan X4 + Dragoon.EXE - Dino Soul. Dino Double Soul armor inspired by Burn Dinorex from MegaMan X5.
2. MakoDuff.EXE, based on Tidal Whale/Tidal Makoeen/Duff McWhalen from MegaMan X5.
3. Salacia.EXE, based on the Stardroid Neptune from RockMan World V/Mega Man V for Game Boy.
4.VaVa.EXE and VILE.EXE, based on the Reploid of the same name from MegaMan X
5. Venus.EXE, based on the Stardroid of the same name from RockMan World V/Mega Man V for Game Boy.
6. Jupiter.EXE based on the Stardroid of the same name from RockMan World V/Mega Man V for Game Boy.
7. CrashMan.EXE, based on the Robot Master of the same name from MegaMan 2
8. SplashWoman.EXE, based on the Robot Master of the same name from MegaMan 9

Mega Man Power Battle Thoughts
So, I was disappointed to find out that Mega Man Power Battle is in the GameCube anniversary collection BUT you have to beat Mega Man 3 in it first. Luckily, it is also available on modern consoles as part of Capcom Arcade Round 2 as a la carte "DLC". It is 4 bucks normally, down to 2, so I picked it and its sequel up happily!
Sidenote on purchases: I was also going to pick up the 360 XBLA versions of Mega Man 9 and 10 for 2 bucks a pop, but then I saw that their DLC was included in Mega Man Legacy Collection 2, but then it is a better deal to also get the first one bundled...so I ended up getting both despite having already beaten all the games in the first collection. I also ended up splurging and getting the Zero/ZX collection. Since I got Mega Man 11 on sale pre emptively during black friday and bought the X Collection bundle a couple months ago, this means I know own every single Mega Man game available on Xbox. I don't have Battle & Fighters on Switch because I'm not paying 8 bucks for a single Neo Geo Pocket Color ROM, and I don't have every game Mega Man ever crossed over with, but I have a lot. Mega Man 1-11, X 1-8, Zero 1-4, ZX + ZX Advent, both arcade games. That is 27 games.
Side note on unavailable games: That still leaves five gameboy games, soccer, a genesis game, a game gear game, 2 game boy color games, a racing game, 3 mega man legends, MM & Bass, X Command, the 2 remakes for a total of 18 Mega Man games with no good modern way to play them.
Side note on 3DS: The five gameboy games and 2 gameboy games are still briefly available on the 3DS store, along with Mega Man 1-7. That is seriously cool! It is so neat that someone born in say, 1985, who remembers getting Wily's Revenge for Christmas 1991 but could never beat it, can right now go out and buy a 3DS and pay 4 bucks to play it in modern times. And I can't believe we are about to lose that
Side note on Vita: I actually busted out my vita to check since the web store for Vita has been taken down. The Vita is such a neat little curio and I absolutely adore mine for all the weird things he can do. In theory, the Vita can play any PS1/PSP game, but only if it is offered digitally (or you know how to get around that). Bizarrely, the digital store (as it stands today) offers the untranslated Rockman Complete Works for Mega Man 1-4, but not 5 or 6. Those are really cool PS1 versions of the original NES games that added stuff like artwork, music, and the ability to swap weapons live with L and R. They later got reworked into the Anniversary Collection for PS2, Xbox, and Gamecube, which ironically no longer have any way to access them. That is such a neat thing to offer for an affordable price, but I don't understand why 5-6 are excluded. Mega Man 8 is also offered, which makes sense. X5-6 are here but not 4, which seems odd but seems like Nintendo's faulty since that one was also on SNES (or maybe they are embarrassed by the cutscenes). And finally, they have the Mega Man X remake but not Powered Up. Do they know that Powered Up is so good that it makes everything else they do seem worse by comparison? It is so cool that you can legit buy the PSP X remake today for a reasonable cost but it absolutely sucks that Powered Up was left behind (again, unless you take matters into your own hands). Finally, Legends 1 and 2 AND The Misadventures of Tron Bonne are available! Capcom may have all but abandoned this series but at least they are available somewhere digitally. Honest to God, if you wanted to play these games without acquiring an ISO online but also without literally playing hundreds upon hundreds of dollars for a used PS1 game, then you have to either own a Vita or a PS3. Admittedly, PS3's are a little more ubiquitous and easy to sell people on, but the Vita lets you play on the go on a gorgeous screen. I am not saying the Vita should have been a financial success, but it does have this strange and powerful appeal to a certain niche market that somehow has not been made completely obsolete a decade later. I harp on this because it is a powerful reminder of how fragile and ethereal gaming culture is even now, despite the internet. This stuff will always live on via "piracy", but I bet there are a lot of people who still hold Mega Man Legends near and dear to their hearts and they absolutely must have a PS1, 3, or Vita to play it today and the latter 2 are much less cost prohibitive in terms of actually buying a copy of the games. We don't have this kind of issue with film or book or television. How many films are stuck on VHS? Some, yes, but I can't imagine quite as many as high profile as something like Mega Man Legends or Maverick Hunter X.
Anyways, Mega Man Power Battle is pretty fun but short. Cute little tour of the bosses from 1-7, even has simultaenous coop which is cool. The endings are cute, I love that Proto Man's doesn't actually reveal anything about him. Also, I feel Like Bas/Gospel has few enough appearances that this sticks out as one of only a handful of times that he appears, much less is playable beyond his titular game. Really cool that this game and its sequel (and handheld demake?) have been made available to download just this year. Looking forward to playing the next one after X3
Edit: X3 is the one that was on PS1 and SNES. X4 was on PS1 and Saturn

-megaman: the willy wars
-rockman complete works
-megaman anniversary colleción
-megaman powered up
-megaman legacy collection

Rockman Zero & ZX, low-res pixel style!
In honour of the upcoming Legacy Collection of Inti Creates’ Mega Man/Rockman Zero and ZX games, here’s the major characters from the series. I call it the Pentuple Hero Collection, because the “double” in the Japanese title seems a bit limiting. Anyway I love these games very dearly, and my previous attempt to draw the Zero principals has turned to ash in my eyes! So here’s a cleaner and fuller take on these excellent games (plus a few additions from the manga adaptations)!

Durgon actually bought the Zero/ZX legacy collection? Character development right there! Also, I do think they should make Battle Network 7. Yes! With Adult Lan and Mayl. Or maybe Lan's daughter would be the next protagonist and her Net Navi might be Rockman X!
I mean, I enjoyed the Zero series to some degree, and was curious about the ZX series but just never had any of them. So hey, convenient place to have them all.
As for EXE with X characters... ehh... If they stuck more to the "feel" of the EXE series, perhaps. But I feel like there's plenty they could still do with classic characters, I mean, there's a lot of RMs that never got Navi counterparts.
EDIT : I was GOING to say I was kind of surprised they didn’t go in a direction like that with Starforce, making the opponents Navi versions of Mavericks, given how many animal based constellations there are.... but then realized “yeah but I don’t think there’s constellations of an octopus, a chameleon, a penguin, etc.” It does make me a little curious though how many Mavericks that COULD have worked for...

It’s an exciting time to be a MegaMan fan. Last year we got the first new release in nearly a decade.
Also last year, the Japanese version of Battle Network 6 was translated into English, bringing English-speaking audiences the added content that was sadly cut for the international releases.
In the last couple of years, we have received newly-released “Legacy Collections” for the classic and X series games, and a Zero/ZX one is on the way, to be released in January.
But now, for a little backstory. 13 years ago, the Battle Network series was formally ended, and my 11 year-old self thought I’d never see another one as long as I lived. While as of 2019, that has still technically held true, the Japan-only “Rockman EXE 4.5 - Real Operation” has FINALLY, at LONG LAST, been translated into English! Anybody interested should check out the patch at the Rockman EXE Zone (link below):
https://www.therockmanexezone.com/general/2019/10/26/mega-man-battle-network-4-5-real-operation-english-translation/
If you’re interested in making it more like a traditional Battle Network game, then you should also check out the “real battle” patch (to be applied after the above patch is applied) below:
http://www.mediafire.com/file/37ulj2fpvahdfmt/exe45_real_bn_gameplay_update2.zip/file
Use the Floating IPS patcher (below) to apply these patches to a clean ROM image of Rockman EXE 4.5.
https://www.romhacking.net/utilities/1040/
The playable Navis in MMBN4.5 include MegaMan, Roll, GutsMan, NumberMan, FireMan, WoodMan, WindMan, SearchMan, AquaMan, ThunderMan, MetalMan, JunkMan, ProtoMan, StarMan, NapalmMan, IceMan, ElecMan, PlantMan, KnightMan, ShadowMan and Bass.
I can’t believe this fan project was finished. MegaMan fan projects almost never get finished. Unreal.

He’s Back! Mega Man turned 30 on December 17, 2017, and Capcom definitely kickstarted the celebration with the big announcement of Mega Man 11. While we wait for the game, we at Comic-Watch would like to discuss a brief history of the Blue Bomber and the road to Mega Man 11. Plus, other highly anticipated Mega Man products, cartoon series, and the movie adaptation all being released to celebrate the Super Fighting Robot’s 30th birthday!
What You Need to Know:
Mega Man is known as Rockman (ロックマン Rokkuman) in Japan was created back on December 17, 1987, by Capcom. The fathers of Mega man, developer Akira Kitamura, and designer Keiji Inafune created this mighty “Blue Bomber” for the NES (Family Computer) which became a massive hit in worldwide. It was not after the release of the 2nd game that the series became one of the most iconic characters in video game history.
For the past 30 years, the game had released multiple spin-offs, each one and everyone continuing the spirit of the original game but adding a twist to it. These series were, Mega Man X, Mega Man Legends, Mega Man Battle Network, Mega Man Zero, Mega Man Starforce and Mega Man ZX.
A lot of the younger generation wouldn’t have even played a Mega Man game much like most of the younger folks don’t even know what a walkman is. These days he retains his relevance as an easter egg or as a guest character featuring in games like Marvel vs Capcom, Tatsunoko vs Capcom, and even in Super Smash Bros. 4. Aside from video games, Mega Man has been popular in other media forms too. In Western television, he appeared in the late 80’s animated series “Captain N: The Game Master.” During the mid 90’s Ruby-Spears Production produced the popular Mega Man animated series (Admit, I know that catchy “Super Fighting Robot” theme song is playing in my head right now!.) Japan also had their fair share of animated adaptations with the 3 part OVA, which was also an educational way to teach kids a few things about Japanese culture, and also the popular Mega Man NT Warrior series.
But, I guess most of your readers why am I talking about a video game franchise on a website that focuses more on comic books? Well, Mega Man was also adapted in the comic book format too. Adaptation of the Blue Bomber was mostly dominant in Japanese manga format. Some of these mangas were so popular that even got a translated into English and released Internationally. A few popular ones were Hitoshi Ariga’s Mega Man Megamix books which are now published in English by Udon Entertainment, Mega Man NT Warrior by Ryo Takamisaki which was translated in English by Viz Media and Battle Story Rockman.EXE by Keijima Jun and Miho Asada. But Mega Man comics were not only published in Manga format, there were a lot of countries that produced their comic adaptation too. From the disturbingly strange Brazilian Mega Man comics and trust me you don’t want to know about this adaptation. To the former Dreamwave’s short-lived Mega Man series, which was good in its own way despite taking its own liberties with the story but sadly the company had to shut down before it could even release an issue 5 and after teasing a Mega Man X adaptation. And finally to the recent critically acclaimed Archie Comics adaptions written by Ian Flynn. Trust me the Archie adaptation was really well written, even with the major cross-over with Archie’s adaptation of Sega’s Sonic the Hedgehog, the quality of the story was still great.
The Dark Times:
But before Mega Man 11 was revealed, fans were already losing hope with the franchise after Mega Man 10 was released and after co-creator, Keiji Inafune left Capcom back in 2010. Things spiraled down for the Blue Bomber’s franchise, 1st with the character being absent in Marvel vs Capcom 3 plus it’s expanded Ultimate version, then the online side-scrolling game Mega Man Universe was canceled on March 31, 2011. Then the last straw for the fans was the cancelation the highly anticipated Mega Man Legends 3 which was canceled on July 18, 2011, followed by Mega Man Online being canceled in March 2013. The worst part of these cancelations was how all games were still in production. The only thing that kept the franchise alive were other 3rd party merchandises like Kotobukiya’s Plastic Model Kits, Bandai D-Arts Figures, Udon’s Tribute Book and English Publication of Ariga’s mangas, Archie comics’ comic adaptation and the fans.
Capcom, however, did try to release a few Mega Man game after Inafune left the company. Back in 2012, they released the mobile game Mega Man Xover which was received poorly and ironically officially published a fan-made PC game, Street Fighter X Mega Man during both franchise’s 25th anniversary. Despite being developed by a fan, the game gained a favorable response from the fans.
Then on August 31, 2013, Keiji Inafune announced his company, Comcept’s Kickstarter project: Mighty No. 9.
Fans of the blue bomber got so excited that the co-creator of Mega Man is finally creating a spiritual successor. Kickstarter campaign was an unexpectedly a huge success and was able to meet the goal in a short span of 2 days. However, the production of the game was very controversial since the release of the game were delayed multiple times. When the game finally got a release, it was met with poor review and backlash from the fans. The game was poorly developed and felt incomplete. Aside from that, the gameplay did not capture the essence of the Mega Man franchise and also felt flat. Not only was that the issue but those who supported via Kickstarter had reported that the freebies and other exclusive items for backing up the project were either delayed or never arrived.
What You’ll Find Out:
On December 4, 2017, Capcom held a Mega Man 30th anniversary live stream to celebrate the iconic character’s 3rd decade in the gaming industry. With the announced the live stream, fans speculated that a potential game would be announced. But due to the countless of disappointments for the past 7 years, most fans had low expectations.
Capcom came prepared this time. First, they announced a new Mega Man X collection to be released for modern gaming consoles. After a few interview about Mega Man X series, Capcom then showed a video of 8-bit Mega Man running forward detailing the games released throughout the years. After watching the Blue Bomber passed 7 years of no new games and reaching Dr. Wily, He entered a room with the capsule displaying 2018. The super fighting robot reached out the capsule and we then see the future of the series.
Mega Man 11 is finally announced! After years of fans fearing that Capcom is no longer prioritizing one of their company’s mascot, the Blue Bomber is finally back! Aside from this fans are excited to see that the sequel is not another 8-bit sequel like 9 and 10 but a 3D side-scrolling game (but most people would consider this as 2.5D)
Game Informer is currently doing exclusive updates with the game highlighting the development during their time at Capcom Japan HQ. Aside from that, they had released their January 2018 issue with an awesome cover celebrating Mega Man 11’s announcement and the Blue Bomber’s anniversary.
But Mega Man 11 is not the only product we should be looking forward next year. I’ll list down the most anticipated Mega Man merchandises to be released next year.
Things To Come:
Now, it’s obvious that Mega Man 11, Mega Man X1 – X8 Ports (Collection) and Mega Man Legacy 1 & 2 for Switch is one of the highly anticipated games in 2018. But here are some of the few Mega Man related stuff we are looking forward in 2018, in celebration of the Blue Bomber’s 30th anniversary:
Mega Man Animated Series (Cartoon Network) Release Date: TBA – 2018
Back in 2015, it was announced that Man of Action (creator’s of Ben 10) was going to produce an all-new animated series based on the Blue Bomber for Cartoon Network. Some teasers were already shown this year and the series itself is scheduled to be released next year!
Mega Man Mastermix (Udon Entertainment) Release Date: January 24, 2018
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
Next month, Hitoshi Ariga’s critically acclaimed manga based on Mega Man is getting released in an all-new colored re-mastered version from Udon Entertainment. The colors will be done by Josh Perez, well known for his work on IDW’s Transformer series.
You can pre-order the 1st issue at Udon’s Official Store. Also keep an eye on our review for this comic next month as well.
Nendoroid Zero Release Date: July 2018
Good Smile Co. is finally releasing a Nendoroid figure for X’s best friend, Zero and is one of the highly anticipated in the Mega Man Nendoroid series too!
Nendoroid Roll Release Date: TBA 2018
Zero is not the only one getting the Nendoroid treatment. Roll, Mega Man’s sister was announced to be released sometime next year sporting her new design. The figure was announced back in Tokyo Game Show 2017 and her design was one of the clues Capcom was teasing for the upcoming Mega Man 11 (which was not announced then.)
Mega Man Collector’s Plush (Pop Buddies) Release Date: TBA 2018
Pop Buddies announced that they will produce new Mega Man Plushies coming out next year. Aside from that, more designs are teased and will be announced at the Toy Fair in Nuremberg Germany in 2018.
There are more Mega Man related products that are coming out in 2018, like Bandai’s new Rockman X: Mega Missions 4 trading cards. But what everyone is asking now is the upcoming live-adaptation movie by FOX. Mid this year, the studio announced that they had found the directors for the movie. The recent biggest news, however, was Disney buying out FOX which also happened this month. After the Disney-Fox merger, the talks about the movie is still unknown as of the moment. But if ever it is still in the works it is interesting to know that Disney is now the movie rights holder of the Mega Man movie franchise.
At the end of the day, it’s good to see that Mega Man is getting back to the spotlight again and it’s good to know Capcom has big plans for the series again after a long hiatus. Here’s to hoping that Mega Man Legends 3 gets a revival and Archie comics will continue its comic book adaptation again soon!
For now, let’s all wish Mega Man a happy birthday and here’s to more of the Super Fighting Robot’s fight for everlasting peace!
#MegaMan turns 30 and is back in action! What are you looking forward the most for franchise? He’s Back! Mega Man turned 30 on December 17, 2017, and Capcom definitely kickstarted the celebration with the big announcement of Mega Man 11.
