Samurai Rabbit producer Ben Jones on Yuichi Usagi as a character, introducing him in this SDCC 2021 panel, and the different look of the show as they focused on a younger audience:
"So as Stan mentioned, our Usagi is much younger so as the show is told from his perspective we wanted to lighten the tone as well so mostly we drew from other sources like Hong Kong action comedy films like the films of Jackie Chan or Stephen Chow.
So you get things where you know - Usagi will be in the middle of a fight with Gen and he'll be perched on top of of his tetsubo."
"or you see the fun way he decides to ride his motorcycle - cuz he's a teenager and, you know- has no concept of mortality"
"so that just - ...that just seems like a great idea."
"[...] because it's an action comedy, we still have the stakes of an action movie but we have sort of you know, Usagi again not understanding mortality has a lighter reaction to it so he's pinned up to the tree by these knives and - he's just sort of like treating as a minor inconvenience."
I just think it's funny how this is one of his defining traits being introduced right off the bat in the 2021 SDCC panel, that lack of tact or fear in dangerous situations xD
also this:
"Or we take things that are sort of lighter like Usagi getting a job as a sign spinner and turning into an entire fight sequence that lasts most of an episode."

Know your Destiel/Cockles history: a calendar
As a newcomer on Tumblr and on the Supernatural fandom, I first had trouble following all the past events that were regularly reminded and celebrated.

Scrolling through another fandom's tag a while back, I encountered a few anon asks warning people of the perils of bringing up RPF/shipping to the individuals who inspire it. While I agree with the sentiment, this person didn't choose a good example to go with it: Jensen Ackles and Misha Collins.
The gist of it was that this issue caused them to stop talking and even to refuse to do events together for a long time.
Which is blatantly untrue, for one:
2009 and 2010
2011 and 2012
2013 and 2014
2015 and 2016
2017 and 2018
2019 and 2020
2021 and 2022
2023 and 2024
Here's the Masterlist compiled by @/livebloggingmydescentintomadness
Jensen's @ Misha mentions on Twitter; replies.
Misha's @ Jensen mentions on Twitter.
Instagram:
Videos:
2009 (AHBL); 2010 (ChiCon, SDCC Syfy event, ); 2011 (JIB); 2012 (JIB, ComicCon); 2013 (JIB); 2014 (JIB); 2015 (JIB); 2016 (JIB, ComicCon, compilation); 2017 (JIB, HonCon); 2018 (JIB); 2019 (JIB, Arlington); 2020 (EW photoshoot); 2021 (DenCon, gishfest); 2022 (NJCon, JIB, VanCon); 2023 (JIB, JIB again, Liverpool, Charlotte); 2024 (JIBbit, SF, Columbus, Burbank)...
[I'd add quotes but I think that's quite enough]
And secondly, why would it cause such a rift between Jensen and Misha when it didn't cause it between Jared and Jensen? I think you might have been misled by someone with an agenda...
So. Anon, you probably won't see this but I'll give you my advice anyway: if you really care about the topic, I'd find another example because this one works against you, if anything.

Opinion on the recently announced sorcerer supreme contest thing? https://x.com/marvelcomicshq/status/1948880160863748204?s=46
For clarity, this week at SDCC, Marvel teased an upcoming storyline about the succession of the Sorcerer Supreme title, which Victor will apparently lose at the end of One World Under Doom. This announcement was shared on Marvel.com, along with a piece of promotional artwork, which shows various characters wearing the Cloak of Levitation and Eye of Agamotto. The article does describe these characters as "potential candidates" but it does not, at any point, mention a contest.
A lot of people on social media are assuming that there will be a some sort of contest or trial, and that the characters in this promotional image are guaranteed to be the only candidates. That's a lot of assumptions! Marvel has not shared any concrete information about this storyline. We don't have a title, we don't know if it's going to be an event or miniseries, and we don't actually know anything about the plot. As far as we know, this isn't even a real cover image-- it's just promotional artwork. It could mean nothing, and you should not take it as an indication of something that will actually happen. It's just here to convey a broad concept. Remember when this came out? Did that scene ever actually happen, with that precise assortment of characters? No, because that's not how these things work.
When I saw this image, my first thought was that the artist chose a random assortment of magical and non-magical characters to convey the idea that anybody could be the next Sorcerer Supreme-- they're just describing a vibe, and that vibe is "it's a surprise!" That said, I don't think those non-magical characters are completely random. Valeria has very close ties to Victor, and has taken on his name and mantle, and even become a sorcerer herself, in other timelines. Gambit is currently in possession of an Eye of Agamotto and has been able to use its magical powers. I'm not super familiar with Shang-Chi, but I believe he's become a more overtly mystical character since the introduction of the Ten Rings. And this is more of a stretch, but Carol had an extended storyline that was very magic-focused in the 2021 run of Captain Marvel. At one point she tried to learn magic herself, and she even had a special sorcerer costume.
I don't actually think that any of these characters could or should be Sorcerer Supreme, but their inclusion here shows some kind of thoughtfulness. I can imagine how it might happen for them, at least in an alternate universe. But realistically, it's not going to be any of these people-- it's probably going to be Wong.

ROTFLMAO

I don't think I've laughed this hard since Trump won the election. My god, Mstoxictea really has been brainwashed by Aeltri and Patty.
First of all, Aeltri is an unemployed freelance medical interpreter. She has never worked in showbiz. She barely worked in hospital. Translation and linguistics are two very different fields. I should know, I have a college degree in translation and I didn't have a single linguistics class. Hell, it's not even in the same department.
Second, Aeltri has never met or talked to Ben. Ever. She claimed he eye fucked her at SDCC back in 2014, but her story keeps changing. Before he announced his engagement with Sophie. In fact, Aeltri has had her weird and massive obsession with Ben since 2012. Unlike Mstoxictea, we actually have receipts for this.
Third, if Ben really was in danger, why the fuck would he confide in people who can't do anything to help him? People who aren't even willing to actually do anything to help other than to blog about it?
Fourth, Patty and Aeltri were dumb enough to leave enough clues for their real life persona to be found. Yeah someone tried to share their personal info, but they were quickly shut down by the rest of us. The "harassment" is just people calling of their BS. If anyone has been harassing people, it's them. For that too, we have plenty of receipts.
As for Mstoxictea, she was much better off when she didn't get along with Aeltri. Her life has pretty much spiraled out of control because of her. She wasn't this hate-filled bigot until Aeltri decided to diagnose Ben with DID back in 2021. A diagnosis that Patty spread for her. Because of course, Aeltri is the source and mutual. It is fucking obvious to anyone with a brain, despite Patty's protestations.
I've said this before and I'll say it again, you get rid of Aeltri and you get rid of the sQeptics. Patty might be the ring leader, but Aeltri is the propaganda minister. She's the one who comes up with the shit. Patty doesn't have the imagination to do it herself.

Any idea(s) as to why Cait hasn't been to any OL functions such as Hublander and the upcoming Land on 6? What was the last event she attended?
Thanks for the message, @dragonflydreams47 😃
She might not have been invited. She might not have been interested. She might have had previous commitments. She might be done with attending cons that aren’t Outlander-sanctioned.
What was the last event she attended?
last publicised: JW Anderson fashion show on the 18th of February in London 😉
last con: NYCC, virtually, in October 2021
last festival: ATX in June 2023
last fan event: Season 7 Premiere in June 2023
I’m able to post only 10 images at a time. Here’s a sampling of fan events she’s attended since 2015:

PaleyFest • 12 March 2015 • New York, USA • Photo: Paley Center for Media

SDCC • 20-23 July 2017 • San Diego, USA • Photo: Outlander-Online

Highlanders 2 • 25-27 August 2017 • Blackpool, England • Photo: StarFury

The Land Con 2 • 30 June -1 July 2018 • Paris, France • Photo: Outlander-Online

NYCC • 6 October 2018 • New York, USA • Photo: Getty Images
The Land Con 3 • 30 November - 1 December 2019 • Paris, France • Photo: RosterCon

WizardWorld Comic Con • 6-8 March 2020 • Cleveland, USA • Screenshot: FANdemoniumNetwork on YouTube

NYCC • 9 October 2021 • New York, USA • Photo: Getty Images

ATX TV Festival • 1 June 2023 • Austin, USA • Photo: Outlander Online

92NY • 8 June 2023 • New York, USA • Photo: Outlander-Online
She’ll be busy, preparing for her directorial debut and, like the rest of the cast, getting ready for Season 8. Assuming Starz promotes the elusive Season 7B, we’ll see her in what are probably long-ago recorded videos, etc. Some fans are wondering if Starz will host another mid-season premiere event like they did for Season 1B in 2015.
I’m looking forward to seeing her promote The Amateur (8 November) and The Cut (TBA), and hope the films are represented next awards season. As much that circus irritates me, I enjoy seeing her and Tony out and about. 👠👞
Remember… I have failed 'Star Wars' trivia tests. People come up to me at conventions and use terms that I've never heard of. — Mark Hamill
Sounds like the Force wasn’t with him. 🤷🏻♂️

i didn’t watch the show until just before s2 started, but post-s2 offseason has been rough. was it like this after s1? between fandom racism, other unpleasantness and general media illiteracy, very little production news, the long wait, doomposting, amc’s strategies (whether race is actively a factor for them, i can’t say, but like, it should be? as in, they should care about the optics of sam being the sole cast representative at these events, because intentional or not, i don’t like the ideas they’re reinforcing by only promoting their white actor), and probably a bunch of stuff i’m forgetting, it’s just been kind of sad to watch. and i have other interests and fandoms keeping me busy, but i just love iwtv so bad and it all feels a bit bleak right now lol. plus seeing so many shows like hotd going into production, industry getting casting news etc like that should be us 🥲 i just hope it’ll all be worth it
the s1-s2 timeframe was really odd because 1) season 1 ends on such a cliffhanger for nonbook fans that there was a whole lot of digging into 'Who is Armand?' by fandom, old and new, as we prepared for the Parisian parts of IwtV and 2) they started filming wayyyyyyy sooner for S2 than they have for S3 in comparison to the end of S1/end of S2
Season 1 filmed from November 2021-April 2022 and no one was really following it closely and we never actually saw the cast interact at all until SDCC 2022 in July. Then the show aired from ~September/October (because at the end of September they posted the first episode early on AMC+) - November 2022 and S2 filming actually picked up in April 2023. The issue with S2 was they filmed from April 2023-July 2023 and that's when the strike happened and production stopped until IwtV got special permission to film again and they finished filming S2 in December 2023.
And I think, for me, that's the thing that seems particularly insane: that they haven't actually filmed as Louis, as Armand, as Claudia, (and there have been Lestat and Daniel filming, weirdly enough, but minimal minimal things) since December 2023.......like that's wild. But yeah, we are 11 months - today - since the S2 premiere in NYC, like it's insane that they're not filming, and I know I know I know there are a million things going into it and I do understand it to a point, but that doesn't mean it's not insane.
but there were absolutely awful aspects of the time between S1 and S2. S1 ending in Lestat's death had some people talking for months on end how wrong Louis and/or Claudia were, there was absolutely a ton of people still denying that 105 actually happened and you would get jumped if you said it made sense that Lestat did that/that he was abusive, there were ship wars already starting between loumanders and loustaters because there was a lot of thought loumand would be morally better and loustat people either denying louis and armand could ever love each other/did love each other or being angry at louis for being with armand in general, we found out about bailey not returning as claudia exactly two years ago today actually and that had some doomposting going on for sureeeeee, there was a weird gatekeepy group of fans that went to the prague set repeatedly and acted like anything about it was super top secret and some hid outside of dressing rooms and stuff, like it was still a mess. believe me. but the time is what's really killing us, paired with the shift from louis narration to lestat narration......or just alongside how awful everyone seems to be and there are so many more people now than there were
if it means anything, I've definitely taken a step back on twitter and when I do find myself a little doom-feeling, I genuinely either talk to someone who I know I can actually talk with or I just force myself to look at things at face value. there is so much potential and we've had two beautiful seasons. I think it will be worth it. if I have to eat those words later, well, I'll do it later. but right now I'm being optimistic about it because I do think it's going to be good. and I think we'll be blown away by loustat and the performances jacob and sam give, and I think the modern day is going to be the biggest setting component of S3 and that excites me very much.

Got the latest "Rings of Power" season 2 spoilers from Fellowship of Fans today but starting out with actual news about the show in general and when it'll likely air!!! :D

Amazon is planning to have the show be done in post-production by June 2024. This indicates a fall 2024 release as compared to season one they finished post-production in May and it started airing in September. Most of us have been thinking it'll be fall of 2024 due to multiple factors with the strikes, no promotion so far this year, skipping both major Comic Cons in San Diego and New York, and then Amazon also having their other popular fantasy series "The Wheel of Time" and not wanting these two shows to compete against each other. I've seen others speculate too it's likely now both these shows will air in opposite years to avoid this as 2021 was s1 of "WoT", last year was "TROP", this year was s2 of "WoT", 2024 will be s2 of "TROP, 2025 s3 of "Wot", 2026 s3 of "TROP", and so on. So likely "TROP" will be at both SDCC and NYCC next year too.
Now onto the major spoilers!!! :D
The first scoop was that Charlie Vickers and the actor playing what FOF called the "Original Form" but is likely Annatar filmed a very important scene together that the showrunners were present for. This was filmed before the writers strike happened in May too and the showrunners insisted on being present for this scene. In the YouTube video the FOF's hosts all think this scene is likely either showing either Halbrand/Sauron turning into Annatar in front of Adar before going to Eregion and the audience is in on this plot, or that Annatar shapeshifts back into Halbrand in front of Galadriel and Celeborn in the season finale battle shocking not only them but the audience which was a scoop we had a few weeks ago. :)
FOF clarified too in the YT vid that this scene is not a flashback. Also they insisted again that there's no indication that this Annatar actor is staying past this storyline and is only a recurring guest-star compared to Charlie being a series regular and the main actor as Sauron for the rest of the series. Supposed the Annatar storyline is also only in episodes 6-8 at the most. Though was funny hearing in the YT vid the hosts compare this to "Sailor Moon" transforming. LOL But realistically they think like myself that it'll be similar to how we've seen other shapeshifters like Loki, Mystique, Martian Manhunter, and more do it on-screen in live-action shows and movies.
Then the final scoop was that Círdan will make his debut in the season 2 premiere!!! :D I didn't think he would show up that early but excited for it. Very curious as to how as supposedly the premiere is Sauron centric but this could still work too to show Círdan. In the YT vid they also talked more about him and if his story will connect with the other elves and if he'll get his ring Narya this early or later, and if this will tie into the storyline with The Stranger (possibly Gandalf) and Nori as we've had very little spoilers on their storyline besides them filming in Spain. Still don't know Círdan's actor yet either but again excited to see how this plays out.

Here’s an old drawing of Molly McGee from The Ghost And Molly McGee that I drewback in 2021, I drew this before the show premiered later on October and it was during the summer of that year I drew her after I saw a preview that was shown on SDCC as far as I remember and thought it looked really adorable and drew Molly’s design because I always loved the way she looked, I did ended up remaking this drawing the following and will post it sometime later but for now here is the original first drawing of Molly McGee! 💜🩷💜🩷

btw, if you liked my post analysing just the magnet "holsters" in Samurai Rabbit: The Usagi Chronicles, I'm eventually gonna post more outfit description/analysis! just cuz I've already been writing some longer descriptions for a while now - that's one of my fave things to research and write about, since it can be good art reference for my own drawings, and especially since I can go through the episodes looking for anything new to write down or connect :)
Also, thank you so much for the replies on my post! LOVING the reactions I'm seeing on it, I didn't expect this to do numbers at all but I'm pleased people enjoy reading me ramble about details in a show I like haha xD I don't usually get replies on my other fandom posts, so this is very surprising, even here. I'm touched!
Replies below! :)
@ranarenee - I already replied to you on the original post, but I genuinely just wanted to feature this comment cuz I'm glad ppl are having a positive reaction to this post xD
I also think it was probably a bit easier to animate them! in addition, because it provides an interesting change of technology in the world of Usagi Chronicles, it means that it might have become more interesting to design this hypothetical descendant-world. I'm sure they might have also just thought it was an interesting and unique element of what they were making, but from Art Director Khang Le and Stan Sakai's CBCC interview, and the SDCC@ Home 2021 panel I remember it was mentioned a few times how many clever things they found to make the production spending smaller on the more trivial things.... so the magnetic holsters feels like a thing that might have hit many birds with one stone, so-to-speak. You have the easier drawing of boards and maybe a few things made lighter for the 3D crew (no extra models or rope to animate, for example), but you also have a pleasing design element to give the main fighters in the cast - Usagi, Gen and Chizu - as well as other characters who would happen to wear weapons on their person aside from Karasu-Tengu. Like mentioned in the post, Kitsune is an interesting exception here, because of course, she's based on UY Kitsune who is also not a direct fighter or anything, but also, the world of SR appears to be at peace of some sort, and it's mentioned several times that there were wars at some point, so not many ordinary citizens of Neo would even have these unless they wanted to use or carry weapons every day. Kitsune wants to blend in with this ordinary citizenry and does so quite well.
I just thought of this today and I guess my post sort of mentioned it, but this existence of the magnets also seems to imply some hierarchy of income or money flow. Kitsune doesn't have any because she doesn't need them and she wouldn't spend money she doesn't have on them anyway. Chizu is Lady Fuwa's favourite student despite how she treats her - and gets the best undercover gear, so like Gen and Usagi, custom magnets. I suspect also that Chizu deliberately somehow got herself assigned to the temple-job (headcanon for now), or perhaps hoped it would be something like that, because she didn't want to get any of the more victim-heavy missions the Neko Ninja do. Gen obviously has spent his own money on the holsters and they are there out of pure practicality - can't be a bounty-hunter without wepons, can you? So the magnets seem more like they're ordinary but custom for the outfit. And Usagi, as discussed before, possibly inherited them because of the clan mon adorning the inlay of the magnet.
@kinokothere - thank you!! I will probably continue making posts like this even if I have no audience! why I made this blog at first was to collect my SRTUC fandom theories and drawings under a more organized platform compared to twitter, where this specific fan-account started. I now write almost explusively about SRTUC so you can bet I have way fewer notes than if I wrote about shipping or something else popular for example xD
Thank you @0yasumi-0-ya-su-mi! it's a fun little world-building detail that I really liked when I started wtaching and I hope other fans also include it more in their work x3
@umhuhwellthen x3 thank you!! i love seeing reactiong tags like this one!

Hi! ¿What do you know about Zak Storm Season 2?
Zak Storm Season 2 was announced to be greenlighted during the Miraculous Ladybug panel at SDCC 2017. The first script of the season was also completed as revealed on Jeremy Zag's Instagram on June 6, 2019, implying that it's in pre-production. However, there's still no news about it after all these years, so the production status is currently unknown. We don't know if ZAG and Man of Action are still planning to do Season 2 or if the production hasn't even begun yet.
Production of a new TV show and/or a TV season takes time and it usually takes between 2-3 years before the final product is finished and makes its premiere. I'm not talking about the announcement of the existence of a project or when a project is greenlit. But rather when there's an announcement that the production of a project begins and the crew starts working on it. Start animating, recording the voices, etc.
Power Players Season 1 began production in 2017 and premiered in 2019. Ghostforce Season 1 began production in 2018, but because of covid slowing everything down in 2020 which was rumored to be the original year of release, it premiered in 2021. Ghostforce Season 2 has begun production in 2022, so it's likely, based on the production length I mentioned earlier, that that show's season would premiere in 2024. Though, I wonder if Power Players Season 2 has begun production yet...
The same production length occurred for the seasons of Miraculous too. Think about it. Do you ever wonder why it takes too long for Miraculous Season 2? That's because of the production length gap. Miraculous Season 2 (and Season 3 at the same time) began production literally two months after "Volpina" aired in France in early-to-mid 2016. This resulted in us waiting until late 2017 for the official premiere of Season 2 (not counting the Christmas episode in 2016 since production for that episode is rushed in time for the holiday) and Season 3 premiered literally a month after the Season 2 finale in late 2018. The crew used this exact method again for Miraculous Seasons 4 and 5. Both seasons began production at the same time in late 2019, but again, because of covid, Season 4 premiered in early 2021, while Season 5 premiered literally three months after the Season 4 finale in mid-2022.
With all that in mind, this logically means that the production of Zak Storm Season 2 would have been finished in either 2021 or 2022 if the first script was finished all the way back in 2019. However, something must have happened behind-the-scenes that caused the production of the season to not even started, and it is instead stuck in pre-production which is the planning process of the season. There haven't been any announcements about Zak Storm Season 2 on Jeremy Zag's Instagram ever since 2019. The only time he posted anything about Zak Storm was in 2021 to promote Season 1 on Netflix... after it was removed in the USA. But there haven't been any posts featuring the show or its characters since then. Man of Action, the studio that co-produced both Zak Storm and Power Players, hasn't announced anything either. Not to mention, and this is important, the scripts must have not been finished yet. Neither Dubbing Brothers nor Ezra Weisz (the voice director for both Zak Storm and Miraculous Ladybug) has announced that they received the scripts for Season 2 to dub in English, which means the remaining episodes of Season 2 haven't even been written either.
Both ZAG and Man of Action are busy with one or two projects at a time to focus on Zak Storm. Man of Action is currently prioritizing Sonic Prime for Netflix and I think they are working on Season 3 for that show, so it's unlikely that the crew would have any time to do another season of Zak Storm. ZAG does a similar thing, not counting the seasons of Miraculous. 2019 gave us Power Players Season 1. 2020 gave us Miraculous New York special. 2021 gave us Ghostforce Season 1 and Miraculous Shanghai special. And 2023 gave us the Miraculous movie, though production for the movie lasted from 2019 to 2023 so it's understandable because of covid and stuff.
Anyway, it's likely Zak Storm Season 2 has been stuck in pre-production for all these years. This really sucks since the series is still stuck on a cliffhanger after the Season 1 finale back in 2018. At this point, I don't know if I want to wait any longer until both ZAG and Man of Action revisit the project and announce when the crew will begin production of the season. If the season hasn't begun production as soon as possible, then it would likely be premiered in either the mid-to-late 2020s or never.
TL;DR: Zak Storm Season 2 still hasn't begun production yet and it is likely instead stuck in pre-production/the planning process. As a result, we don't know when it would ever premiere due to both ZAG and Man of Action prioritizing other projects and it's uncertain if they would ever revisit Zak Storm again.
#zak storm#production status#tldr at the bottom of the full page#i included both ZAG and Man of Action due to zak storm being a co-production#without Man of Action then ZAG won't be able to produce Zak Storm nor Power Players

Disney Plus: Marvel, Pixar and more mov...nd shows you can't watch on launch day
Disney+ titles you *can’t* watch on launch day
by Celine Littlejohn 9 months ago
Disney Plus: Marvel, Pixar and more mov...nd shows you can't watch on launch day
Disney+ is set to launch on Nov. 12. And while Disney+ has a massive, impressive catalog of films and TV shows, a few of the previously announced titles will not be immediately available at launch.
The announcement of Disney+ (https:/disneyplus.bn5x.net/c/374356/564546/9358? u=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.disneyplus.com%2F) was a monumental one. A new on-demand streaming service of all of your favorites from classic Disney films, to brand new series, and movies from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Star Wars.
However, not every title in Disney’s history and under the studios that Disney owns will be available on Nov. 12 when Disney+ launches.
Read on to see what Disney+ films and TV shows you’ll have to wait to find on the new streaming service and sign up for a free seven-day trial (https:/disneyplus.bn5x.net/c/374356/564546/9358? u=https%3A%2F%2Fpreview.disneyplus.com%2F) to explore for yourself.

9/2/2020 Disney Plus: Marvel, Pixar and more movies and shows you can't watch on launch day
The Incredible Hulk Spider-Man: Homecoming Thor: Ragnarok Black Panther Avengers: Infinity War Ant-Man and The Wasp Spider-Man: Far From Home
Among the most notable movies unavailable come launch day are many of the MCU films. According to MovieWeb (https:/movieweb.com/disney-plus-missing-marvel-star-wars- movies/), the movies not available on Disney+ by Nov. 12 include, The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 2, Thor, Captain America: The First Avenger, The Avengers, (wow), Captain America: The Winter Soldier (double wow), and Captain America: Civil War (really?!).
Also missing are newer MCU titles such as Doctor Strange, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, Ant-Man and The Wasp, and the most recent MCU/Sony release, Spider-Man: Far From Home. So don’t cancel your Netflix subscription just yet.
That alone takes away many fan favorites from the service. Where can you get your Bucky and Sam fix while you get ready for the upcoming Disney+ series, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier? Don’t worry. The lack of these MCU titles can be expected due to a number of reasons.
For one thing, after the debate over Spider-Man with Sony’s new deal (https:/fansided.com/2019/09/27/spider-man-tom-holland-rejoin-the-mcu/), the MCU Peter Parker solo films won’t be ready for launch day. Also, many of the other MCU titles are currently under different licensing agreements, such as the Netflix (https:/screenrant.com/disney-plus- movies-missing-marketing-trick/) deal with Thor: Ragnarok, Black Panther, and Avengers: Infinity War.
MCU shows
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier WandaVision Loki What If...?
Hawkeye She-Hulk Moon Knight Ms. Marvel
Over the summer, Marvel (https:/www.marvel.com/articles/movies/sdcc-2019-all-of-the- marvel-studios-news-coming-out-of-hall-h-at-san-diego-comic-con) announced a slate of original series made specifically for Disney+ that will feature many MCU fan favorites. They have only been announced, so there’ll be a wait before these shows are seen, which include The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (get excited–it just began filming (https:/screenrant.com/falcon-winter- solider-disney-plus-starts-filming/) late last month), which is scheduled to be released in the fall of 2020, making it the first of the MCU Disney+ series to be released.
Also scheduled are WandaVision, Loki (yes, he’s back), What If...?, and Hawkeye all in 2021. This isn’t even mentioning other planned Marvel productions (https:/www.hollywoodreporter.com/heat-vision/marvel-confirms-3-new-disney-shows- including-she-hulk-moon-knight-1232742) including She-Hulk, Moon Knight, and Ms. Marvel.
Disney and Pixar films
Coco The Incredibles 2

9/2/2020 Disney Plus: Marvel, Pixar and more movies and shows you can't watch on launch day
Up National Treasure The Mighty Ducks Maleficent Tarzan
Pixar fans may notice that newer releases, including Coco and The Incredibles 2 are not yet available on Disney+, but a shocking one missing is Up. Another odd missing film? Disney+ will have National Treasure: Book of Secrets available (https:/d23.com/basically-everything-you- can-watch-on-disney-plus/) but not the original 2004 film.
There are countless more major films that are not available for streaming on Disney+’s launch date, including The Mighty Ducks, which oddly enough the animated series will be available, Maleficent, even with the sequel just coming out, and Tarzan, with its classic Phil Collins soundtrack.
Other films and shows
Star Wars: The Last Jedi Solo: A Star Wars Story John Carer The Sorcerer’s Apprentice Sky High
Enchanted Diary of a Female President Star Wars: The Clone Wars (season 7) Chip N’ Dale Marvel’s Storyboards
Also missing are recent Star Wars films such as The Last Jedi (https:/fansided.com/2019/10/23/star-wars-sides-rey-rise-skywalker/)and Solo: A Star Wars Story, and other Disney films from this decade like John Carer and The Sorceror’s Apprentice. More 21st century Disney movies missing include Sky High and Enchanted.
With the announcement of Disney+, there were quite a few original shows and movies that were announced, but don’t get too excited. You’ll have to wait a bit longer for some of them as they also won’t be available at launch.
Other shows that won’t be available when Disney+ launches but are coming soon include Diary of a Female President (https:/ohmy.disney.com/news/2019/07/11/diary-of-a-female- president-gina-rodriguez/), season 7 of Star Wars: The Clone Wars (https:/ew.com/tv/2019/08/23/clone-wars-final-season-date/), a new Chip N’ Dale (https:/www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/disney-unveils-animated-slate-chip-n-dale- monsters-at-work-at-annecy-1217467) series, and the interview show Marvel’s Storyboards (https:/www.slashfilm.com/marvels-storyboards-show/).
Of course, there are the highly anticipated revivals that many fans, especially nostalgic millennials, are looking forward to, like the Lizzie McGuire (https:/www.buzzfeed.com/stephenlaconte/lizzie-mcguire-reboot-first-look-disney- photos) revival that recently began production.
RELATED STORY: Here’s how you can subscribe to the Disney+ streaming service (https://fansided.com/2019/11/01/how-to-subscribe-disney-plus/)
https://fansided.com/2019/11/11/disney-plus-titles-unavailable-launch/ 3/5
While Disney won’t release their entire library on launch date, presumably as a way of not giving everything away too soon, there are titles that will hopefully be added soon to the service and others that have been announced that fans are counting down the days to their release.
This list will be updated as Disney+ announces more titles available on launch day.
