(life update below)

4 days ago my ex finally moved out (we'd been kinda forcefully living together for 6 months after breaking up)

I've been cleaning and re-owning the house, and I'm slowly getting in a better mindset, wasn't really able to focus on myself, and much less on finals nor commissions (I'm really ashamed of how delayed I am on those, but I'm glad you guys are patient, still I feel very uncomfortable with how long I'm taking)

I have an entire new room for myself, and I'm planning on making a study out of it. I'm really excited!

I also took care of my garden (I was gone for 2 months and when I returned most of my plants were in bad shape and a good bunch plain dead...), but in this last 2 weeks I was able to get them back on their feet (or roots?) and it makes me very happy and proud of them

I'm working on making this place a more cozy and cleaner home, and I'm also working on myself, I'm getting back on therapy, and I'm really excited about re-knitting my connection with art

Here's second Ref-Sheet of my Sonic redesigns and my last peice of full artwork before the new year!

Tails has always been a comfort character of mine even as a kid in some of the old Archie cartoons. He's a friendly, and very clever fox with a knack for tech and science, but he's also got himself a drive for adventure and taking down bad guys in his plane with his best friend, Sonic. [Also I swear I'm not gonna make all of these voice claims based off of Metallica LMAO I promise]

Deity revamped

Decided to redesign the "human" design for my dragon deity character Ori, long overdue tbh. I took a less grand approach than i did as a kid and ill explain below the cut why.

i wont show previous examples of the design but most of which leaned toward warmer climate attire or were greek/roman inspired. Which was definitely incorrect as ori has canonically never been outside north america since she touched down on the planet and thusly would not know what the fuck greek aesthetics are. Instead she is mimicing the other weird bipeds she does see every now and then from afar. often bundled up in furs, feathers, and tanned hides. Shes a bit incompetent, she doesnt know that hands arent the same as feet, that fingers arent that long, that shoes and gloves are important, that people dont typically have wings or tails or antlers, That bright colours aren't exactly a human trait. Many small errors and the way she moves. Its clear shes doing a performance, a bad one. One that she cannot quite get right.

I didn't plan to do a whole referance sheet for her but Andromede kinda grabbed me by the throat. Anyway Andromede is that kyrian you kill for Xandria's world quest but what if she didn't die

Starting off the Sonic Redesign with the man [Hedgehog] himself! It's honestly been a HOT minute since I've worked with brighter colors/a cleaner design and I gotta say, it was a lot more refreshing and a little relaxing to work with a more colorful palette LOL. So thank you Sonic characters. 🙏

My take on Sonic is probably not any different from most. Cocky, mischievous, chaotic, sarcastic, but he's also got a good heart and looking out for others and his friends. I also can't for the life of me draw any character without clothes so most of my designs with be imagined with outfits LMAO. 😭

I should be getting to Knuckles or Tails Redesign [Au?? I guess this is kinda an AU.] Soon so be on the lookout for those!
