this scene where inho comes to talk to gihun at night makes me feel insane.

he starts telling his story about his wife being sick and how they discovered she was pregnant while she was being tested for the liver transplant, and says,

"you see, my wife is stubborn."

and the camera is focused solely on gihun. it's so obviously meant to create a parallel between inho's wife and gihun.

before this, inho tells gihun that this wife

"says she'll give birth even if it kills her."

gihun will end the games even if it kills him. he won't stop until they have been burned to the ground, the same way inho's wife would not allow treatment until her child is born.

"i've never been able to change her mind about anything."

inho wasn't able to change his wife's mind about terminating the pregnancy and getting the liver transplant she needed, and he won't be able to change gihun's mind about the games being cruel and needing to be stopped.

gihun and inho's wife are both stubborn and caring, more worried about others' safety than their own.

and it's worth noting that inho's wife ultimately died before being able to have a healthy living child. she never achieved her ultimate goal.

if she is meant to parallel gihun, then maybe gihun will also meet an untimely death, unable to stop the games for good.

AN INSPIRED DECLARATION, BARDIC COLLEGE OF FOCHLUCAN. I honestly thought my time as an artist had come to an end and all hope for further inspiration was gone. I come from months of fruitless research and abandoned music sheets, any spark of creativity flickering and dying by the time my fingers touched the strings. I was lost and couldn't find my way back home when suddenly, destiny came knocking at my door. Quite literally, I may add. I went to stay at my aunt's cottage outside of the city to see if some peace and quite would do my muse any good and I had the fortuitous chance of offering shelter to a group of weary travelers. They surely were a lively bunch and while I had fun entertaining guests after such a long time spent alone, Tymora's gentle hand came to save me under the guise of a young couple of most curious nature. A tiefling and a devil, by all means a nightmarish union if you were to give the rumors any credits and yet. They spent the night sitting quietly next to each other, letting the others take turns in keeping the conversation alive. I didn't mean to pry but I was mesmerized by the softness of their touches, the tenderness of their gaze. At some point during the night, the young man drifted off to sleep leaning against the girl's shoulder, she raised a hand to caress his scarred face with such unmistakable devotion it almost moved me to tears. It reminded me why I started composing in the first place: to wonder about the nature of simple things like love and companionship. If I ever see them again, I hope they'll know this song is for them.

can't believe a show based on a videogame (usually games adaptations are notoriously bad, which isn't the case here tho) gave me the beauty and the beast/twisted mirrors/enemies to traveling companions/ruthless antihero+optmistic but still badass heroine who takes none of his shit/age gap but make it sexy dynamic of my dreams. as much as i love maximus and i think he deserves the best writing ever because 1. he's a clever deconstruction of the aspiring Knight bro who's actually a bit of a loser and, as much as lucy, sees the world in black&white at first and then doesn't get what he thought he wanted but what he needs (or at least i hope he'll eventually get it), and 2. he's a cutie and i want an epic love story for him too, it's very funny how they tried to give us a puppy kind of romance and the tumblr girlies still fixated on the "toxic ~she bites his finger off and he cuts hers off and sews it on his hand in what we'll pretend it's a symbolic marriage rings exchange or whatever~ asshole who used to be a nice guy/good girl™ with a lot of spunk and hidden anger but unshakeable morals" kind of relationship.

Bastet stell ich mir als so ein "Landei" vor, dass gerade erst nach Tokio gezogen ist (wahrscheinlich um zu Studieren) und mit ihrer neuen Umgebung heillos überfordert ist und gleichzeitig noch im Schatten ihrer großen Schwester steht. Ihr Leben stelle ich mir von allen am "gewöhnlichsten" vor und ich sehe Bastet als so eine typische süße Studentin, die mit ALLEM überfordert ist; die Großstadt, ihr Studium und ihr Liebeslieben ist sowieso non existent :') aber sie versucht sich aus jedem Ärger rauszuhalten. Schätze Bastet auch als einen kleinen Manga-Nerd ein mit einer Vorliebe für die klassischen Shojo und Romance Manga. Sie hat einen kleinen Nebenjob in einer Bücherei oder in einem Buchladen und ist da wahrscheinlich nur am Tagträumen xD Ihr Mordern AU Life könnte so ein romance slice of life Manga sein lol :'))

Der Prophet Prophy

Good ol' Prophy was machen wir mit dir einem Modern AU? xD Muss gestehen bei ihm gehen meine Gedankengänge dazu in mehrere Richtungen; zunächst Mal sehe ich Prophy als Medizinstudenten, der aber in einer irgendeiner Sekte großgeworden ist und dessen Sozialkompetenz nicht die beste ist. Sorry not sorry, aber ich kann mir bei Prophy so gut vorstellen, dass der Typ einfach ein serial killer in the making ist und er selbstverständlich ein uhm...mental gestörtes Individuum ist. Also kurzum kann ich mir Prophy als mörderischen, aber hochintelligenten Medizinstudenten vorstellen, der unter Wahnvorstellungen leidet und sich Miochthanth herbeihalluziniert, der ihm befiehlt ihm Leute zu opfern...ABER anderer Gedankengang, der da ein kleines bisschen mehr wholesome wäre...wenn wir sagen, dass "Miochthanth" in diesem AU zum Beispiel eine Manga oder Animeserie wäre, könnte ich mir Prophy einfach als mega Fanboy vorstellen, der jeden Miochthanth Merch besitzt, aber gleichzeitig ist er auch etwas ein Hikikomori und meidet Kontakt zu anderen Menschen...man kann dann das aber natürlich auch mit dem serial killer vibe kombinieren :'D don't ask me, but diehard fanboy Prophy lives rent free in my head...it is kinda cute...

Jay hätte ihr Kunststudium schon so gut wie in der Tasche, aber sie hatte in der Vergangenheit schon einige Male Bekanntschaft mit der Polizei gemacht und ist den Behörden negativ aufgefallen. Schuld daran sind eine Vielzahl von Exfreunden und weil die gute Jay kein Hänchen für Kerle hat, waren die meisten davon Kriminelle und haben sie mit runter gezogen. Derzeit versucht sie unter dem Radar zu fliegen, aber steckt bis zum Hals in Schwierigkeiten weil sie sich zu Kunstfälscherei überreden hat lassen. Also bei Jay läuft es auch alles andere als rosig :D Jay liebt jedoch nächtliche Kneipen-und Clubtouren, stürzt sich gerne ins Partyleben und ist bestimmt schon das ein oder andere Mal in einen Host Club gestolpert, wenn sie mal wieder Liebeskummer hatte :')

Same for a fic just about Mio and archmage Ciel interacting in literally any way tbh bc what the fuck the author really thought they could pull a "and there was only one bed" and just have us (the readers) let that slide???? Bitch I see you and I'm so here for it— honestly both from the casual familialness of it and potential shipping. I adore both possible angles of this dynamic

Mio, Ash and archmage Ciel as a dysfunctional little family / maybe throuple (but also it's incredibly unclear what's even happening there) is so compelling to me I'm sorry I'm fully checked out of like all other ships bc that dynamic is so interesting in literally all directions

Rolling it back to Ash and the Queen too, they have such good chemistry and I adore every scene they share together. The Queen has such this like gentle, elegant, tragic air to her that you can just tangible feel. The way I lose my fucking mind whenever Ash gets any real emotion out of her, just, ag. I love them. Fuck.

I can not find a single fic for this webtoon and this saddens me deeply. I think I need to fix this fact immediatley tbh
