May 24th, 1985

Dad took me to the sanctuary today. It was certainly weird to be back there. It changed a lot, and I can’t tell if that’s a good thing or not. I don’t know if funding is running short or whatever, but they seem to have less here than from when I was a kid. 

Dad also introduced me to a friend of his, a guy named Seth. Apparently he works with the younger rescues. Doesn’t seem like the type to do that though. Looking at him I figured he’d be the type to be on a wanted poster or something.

Dad said he’d reintroduce me to Sally tomorrow. I wonder if she’s still as scary as kid me thought she was.

If SL Seth was born in Russia and moved to the USA, did he change his real name and surname to a more American one?

Yeah, he did!

His original name was Viktor Borisov, before he changed it to Seth Greer

I'm sorry, but how was Seth allowed into US if they were from Russia and the cold war was still going on?

I am honestly not sure.

I had thought of the fact that the Cold War was going on, and how that would affect Seth, but I’m honestly not completely sure of the details. I can only imagine it was. Not Easy

How different is Seth in SL from Seth in Alt AU?

Are there different backstories? Different events? Is the fight between him and Holt still canon?

They are very similar? yet also different.

His general backstory got some tweaks so i'll go over it right now since. yeah

Seth moved from Russia to America when he was around 21 (aka around 1971), learning English when he arrived (His accent is a lot thicker then it used to be in the alt au since he learned english later-)

He lived in a city somewhere in Colorado, and was honestly struggling to make ends meet. It was hard for him to get a job anywhere, so he ended up doing street-fighting to make some extra money. The fight with Holt still happens and he decides to take what money he has and move elsewhere, finding himself in Silver Lining. He ended up getting a job at Wright & Sons and thats about where his backstory ends.

I will say that Silver Lining Seth is. not nearly as like. borderline rude as Alt Au Seth was when it comes to new people. He's still not easily trusting, but he shows he cares more than his earlier counterpart.

Its basically the same dynamic as in the alt au, with them. Not. Liking each other, but it being basically like. "I hate you but I'm not going to kill you because of it"

YEAH. DAMN

I mean. SL Seth is. I think way happier than Alt au Seth (kinda. he's going through his own problems, but at least alternates aren't added onto it-) So like. they probably have. different views on things. Alt au Seth would definitely be a bit. colder.

I mean. he didn't really change all that much between the alt au and Silver Lining. like his personality is pretty similar, and his backstory is pretty much the same, albeit with some tweaks.
