(Sometimes I don't know if the story was from a film or a book because I can see it right in front of me)
But what I didn't know is that my body seems to regulate its heart rate etc. so much that my smart ring now always thinks I'm taking a nap when I'm reading.

I made the watch face I've wanted since I started wearing a smart watch last year
I added the tonearm to cover the dead spot in my watch screen (works perfectly)
I have a pretty old watch so I had to make it with this app called Facer (which did cost money, but I think it was worth it, it spins!!)
It's really cool bc the spinning is controlled by the time (video is sped up), so the clock on the record actually counts the seconds as it goes around (the minute changes when the 12 reaches the top)

I keep thinking about how much I hate hearing my watch go off. Like seriously it fills me with dread every time. Outside of work the same tone is used for fb messenger as teams and I get a shock of panic that someone from work is trying to reach me and I’ve messed something up.
And I’ve never gotten a msg like that? Like seriously never? The only time I ever missed a msg was asking me if I could work a specific shift? And she waited until the next day to ask?
But the anxiety so is fucking strong I now hate my watch. It doesn’t feel worth it to track my heart or my sleep.
I just want to see the time. I’m still scared of time. I just want an alarm that just gently vibrates with a soft sound to help me wake up in the morning. A timer so I can use my phone still when a kid wants to watch the clock tick down.
I hate having a smart watch. I fucking hate it.
