I like how WestAllen ended in the Flash with Nora's birth. The part where they're holding hands right before her birth and yellow and purple lightning zaps between them is done really well... Now, I don't particularly ship SnowBarry, but I do find the idea cute sometimes because of the Frost sisters, and how well done the writers wrote her scripts. I'm gonna disregard the whole Khione thing in my comparison of both ships which is canon WestAllen and AU SnowBarry from my perspective.

In a SnowBarry AU, Caitlin would be Barry’s “lightning rod”.

Barry would've been married to OG Caitlin (if you know what I mean) by the time they split in S6. At least following the timeline of how WestAllen generally progressed throughout the show. Like, as in, Barry's proposal of "Running Home to You" would be directed towards Caitlin instead of Iris in S3, SnowBarry marriage in S4, etc etc... Maybe it would be Caitlin SnowAllen if they decide to hyphenate?

Anyways, AU SnowBarry or canon WestAllen, I do wish they gave Caitlin/Frost more screentime especially after they split in S6. I would take the Frost sisters in a heartbeat instead of Cecile or Allegra.

S2 Barry and Jay would be “fighting” over Caitlin lol. Or maybe not. But he would be hella protective when Zoom kidnaps her.

In S3, Caitlin turned Killer Frost does end up working with Savitar.. imagine just how desperate Barry would be to keep her from going all "Frosty" because Caitlin is his fiancee, just as desperate as he was with trying to save Iris from Savitar in canon. I think instead of the focus on Iris, a majority of SnowBarry AU’s base plot line would include Barry trying to save Caitlin from her evil self? Like in that one episode where he spoke to Frost, and allowed her to try to kill him because he knows she’s still Caitlin deep down. OR it could be both: Savitar’s tryna kill her because she’s Barry’s “lightning rod” in this SnowBarry AU instead of them joining up.

Let’s say Barry still goes into the Speedforce in this SnowBary AU. Her heartbreak would be another catalyst/reason as to why Caitlin turned into her Frosty self between S3 and S4 to work for Amunet. In canon 4x01, Killer Frost does come back to the team as Caitlin to help Barry come out of the Speedforce so don't gotta "AU" that part. I know they "balanced out" the whole Caitlin/Frost thing in S4, and that was awesome to watch.

Loved the cuteness where “Caity” and Frost would communicate with each other in little sticky notes. Since Barry and Caitlin would be married by that time, maybe Frost writes sticky notes to Barry too?

Moving onto S5.. How would it go with Caitlin raising Nora alone in the future? Caitlin is a geneticist/doctor whereas Iris is a news reporter.. I think with Caitlin’s doctor/biochemist, I don't think she'd put a power dampening chip inside Nora. Nora would have Frost (split or not) to protect/guide her as well as the rest of the team. Maybe in SnowBarry S5, Nora would've grown up knowing that her father is the Flash from the start. 5x18 would've shown Caitlin and Nora having a better mother-daughter relationship than 5x18 canon Iris and Nora. Would she still go to Thawne then? Maybe so because of godspeed and he’s the only other speedster around and then after what happened to Lia? Maybe so.

Since Nora still wouldn’t have ever met Barry, Thawne could’ve still manipulated her with the whole Cicada dagger thing so she travels back in time. One thing for sure: she wouldn’t be all pissy towards Iris lol. But my poor girl Nora would’ve still vanished in S5 finale :(

When Caitlin splits in S6, imagine how happy Frost would be have her own body, but also to be there to support SnowBarry marriage in person, and be able to interact with both Barry and Caitlin at the same time. Speaking of the Frost sisters, what would Nora call Frost? Aunt Frost? Something like that?

Yep, Caitlin and Frost never dies in this particular SnowBarry AU. It was the only stupid thing the writers did for her character.

Hopefully someone can help. I’ve been looking for this Flash fic for two days now. It’s a season 4AU. Barry came out of the speedforce but didn’t get cured from his speedforce talk. Caitlin comes in and helps out. And it’s later revealed that Caitlin got pregnant by Savitar.

Second most kudos: Don't Stay for Dessert (M 2.5k buddie)-Chimney surprises Buck and Eddie during what he assumes is a typical guys night. It's not. Apparently its fancy bros night and Chimney... well he is seeing so much potential. My first buddie fic with post season 5.

Third most comments: Oreo Towers will Tumble (M 7.1k buddie)-Drew Heyward has been a floater at the 118 for a few shifts and ends up as man behind one afternoon. During this time he finds a surprise visitor, Eddie Diaz, one of the handful of omega first responders and the person Drew has been covering for. Turns out, Eddie is Buck's mate, very pregnant and bored after weeks of bedrest. They talk, panic attacks occur, and oreo tower bets are made, creating a new friendship. My first adventure into the a/b/o verse with mpreg Eddie. My longest fic and one of my favorites.

Fourth most bookmarks: Lost and Found (again) (T 1.8k buddie)- 6x16 Coda Another engagement ring goes missing at the firehouse and somehow its Chimney's fault, again. A super long coda I wrote that will probably be getting a prequel and a sequel.

Fifth most words: Questions to Answer (with Regrets) (T 2.2k buddie)- Buck and Eddie have been dating for a little over a month now. Chimney and Hen are curious. Eddie gets cornered and at some point, becomes the little shit he is. Hen and Chimney only have themselves to blame. This is a comedy piece that I love dearly because of Eddie being a little shit.

Fic with the least words: Never Enough (G 339 buddie)- 6x15 coda Eddie has some realizations at the cemetery with Buck. I put my anger and angst into this coda basically.

B: Most of my non-canon ships tbh but I'll go with Earth-2 Laurel/Felicity which an edit on tiktok single-handedly made me ship (but the more I thought about it, the more sense it made so) (I'll link the edit later) C: Hmm. Snowbarry. I've seen some fics that intrigue me but I just can't like that ship. They are platonic besties for life to me. E: Aside from my general crackiness when posting-- this ridiculousness. I will continue it at some point I swear-- O: At random ok. I'll shuffle my main playlist. "The Great War" by Taylor Swift. Mmmm so many ships. Probably not super accurate but I think of Olicity a little bit R: Eobard/Hunter. IT'S SO DUMB WHYYYYYYYY S: I appreciate the and/or for this one because headcanons tend to fly past once in a blue moon-- but it's been a great week for inspiration so I got some! Not quite a headcanon but at the same time it could be canon-compliant just off-screen; I think Barry should've struggled a lot more after getting out of the speedforce in season 4. Like, kinda disassociating maybe cause he's not used to the real world anymore, his powers being a little out of whack and he has some trouble controlling them, stuff like that

doesn’t everyone (Free Rein - Pin Hawthorne with PinMarcus pre-ship) - this one is never likely to have many readers given how small a fandom it is, but the reactions I got from my betareaders alone made this one so worthwhile to write + I hope it makes the few people who read it who are similarly LGBTQ+ feel seen. 

Between Hope And Fear (The Flash - Hartmon) - This one was very cathartic to write about COVID fears, but I think it also had a very poignant mix of angst and satisfying hurt/comfort.

Tell Me What Were We Meant To Be (The Flash - Snowbarry) - I just had so much fun writing this Elementary AU. Plenty of angst but also a cute ending!

it's the little things (The Flash - Westhallen) - My first proper Westhallen fic holds a special place in my heart. I’ve yet to write more for the ship (so many plot bunnies though) but I love this OT3 and really enjoyed exploring all the dynamics as part of this, plus it ended up very cute and them all getting a break for a change, not much angst at all.

Mind The Gap (Fringe - unrequited Linc/Liv) - This is more poetry than prose. I loved capturing all the quiet moments and thoughts that Linc’s love might be hiding in.

Can days be combined?

YES! Reconnecting with future AU? Or innovation and fairytale? All joking aside, you can combine whichever prompts you’d like.

Can I create work for both the artists prompts and the writer prompts?

ABSOLUTELY YES!

Can I use the artists prompts for a fic, or the writer prompts for art work?

GO CRAZY!

If I want to contribute something do I have to do something for every day?

Not at all. You’re free to commit to a single day, and we will be so flipping excited to see it. The point is just to have fun with the prompts, even if it’s just the one.

Can I post a WIP that I started working on before that fits a Snowbarry Week theme?

Yes, of course! We’re not a Big Bang, or even a Mini Bang, we don’t require art or fic to have been created from scratch for exactly this week.

I’m going to be busy/out of town during Snowbarry Week. Can I post early/late?

We’d really like to avoid early posting. If you’re out of town or too busy the week itself you can always schedule posts for the correct dates.

Posting late shouldn’t be a problem. Posting Day 1 on Day 3 is also perfectly fine, just make sure we can tell which day you’re posting for, so our heads don’t start spinning.

What does free day mean?

Basically, free day is where you decide what prompt you want to do something with. As long as it’s Snowbarry (or one of its variations like Savifrost, Flashfrost, etc), you’re okay to do whatever you want. A free day in the middle of the week might also provide some much needed breathing space for all the contributors.

Also, the same as last year, our free day now doubles as an opportunity to create for any of our past prompts! If there was a prompt you didn’t manage to finish something for, or just always liked the sound of doing but missed the opportunity, we’d love to see that for this day to have a fun revival of some of the great prompts from past events.

What does [insert theme] mean?

Oh man, this is a hard one to answer. Reconnecting could be about Barry and Caitlin getting to know each other after falling out, or after drifting apart, but it could also be about reconnecting with other things in their life or even as literal as reconnecting cables on some tech as part of an action plot! We can’t tell you which roles to cast your characters in, because everyone has different interpretations. If you can justify the connection, we’re pretty sure you’re good.

Does my idea fit the theme?

Like we said above, if you can justify it, we’re pretty sure you’re good. If you’re really not sure, hit us up!

Kudos/Comments/Bookmarks -Questions to Answers with Regrets - A comedic/fluff fic where Hen and Chim get a little too nosey and Eddie insures they learn their lesson by sharing just a little too much.

Most words: Oreo Towers will Tumble - My newest fic and my first adventure into the a/b/o verse. My beloved omc Drew Heyward befriends a pregnant Eddie and the 118, and gets to witness all the crazy drama that goes along with it.

2.) Of the ones you've written, what's your slowest slowburn? How slow is it?

Oooh, that is a good question. I admit, I'm impatient. My slowburns are usually still relatively speedy. Though The Pied Piper's Army of Rats does take six fics until Hartley and Cisco finally kiss. And while Hartley and Cisco get together in chapter 2 of 2 in (This Isn't) The Timeline You Were Looking For, in universe it takes them, like... two years to get their act together.

7.) Have you written any romantic couples that you think would be better off as friends? Or even enemies?

So while I do have fun writing Snowbarry at times, I think Caitlin and Barry are better off as friends. They've got a great platonic chemistry on the show, but it's not like with Caitlin and Cisco where I just... can't with the romantic ship. Honestly, I started writing it because I knew someone else who enjoyed the ship and wanted to write something I knew they'd really enjoy. And I don't regret getting into the ship, because they can be very cute to write as a romantic couple, but overall I definitely prefer them with a friendship.

15.) Are there any relationship dynamics/tropes you would never write?

Alpha/beta/omega stuff. I don't mind reading that sometimes, but it's not really my cup of tea and I just can't ever see myself writing any at all. I think it just hits the wrong balance of possessiveness + sex + kink for this ace, especially since it's got that heavy element of unreality going for it.

And I tend to stick with softer kinks in general as the harder stuff are difficult for me to get into the right headspace for. So I'm unlikely to ever have characters go too much beyond spanking or otherwise mildly roughing each other up for kinks that involve some kind of violence in them. At least when it comes to kinky scenes in a fic itself, anyway. A character might have a multitude of kinks that are mentioned, but never actually depicted.

33.) Are there any canon romantic couples, in any media, that you just can't stand?

Gwen/Jack from Torchwood never actually get together, but they are canonically interested in each other and I really hate the ship. Gwen's my least favorite Torchwood character to begin with, so honestly that ship was doomed from the start with me. Likely unsurprisingly that I don't like Gwen/Owen either. Or Gwen/Rhys. Considering she told Rhys that she was cheating on him with Owen and then retconned Rhys immediately after so he wouldn't remember and thus couldn't decide to leave her (and then he winds up married to her)... there are words for that situation, none of them polite.

And while I still think the early flirtations between Oliver and Felicity on Arrow are cute, I think they kinda brought out the worst in each other as romantic partners. Felicity making a scene at Barry and Iris' wedding rehearsal when she mistakenly thought Oliver was proposing to her only to turn around and force Barry and Iris - who'd already had their wedding interrupted by Nazis from another Earth - to share their wedding with her and Oliver... probably the best example right there of Felicity's worst, most self centered impulses getting catered to and Oliver just... goes with what she wants. And while Felicity isn't solely to blame for Oliver growing more rigidly uncompromising as the series went on, she definitely contributed to his slow descent towards becoming an off brand cop in the final season.
