It had been unusually hot during the week, the sweltering weather carrying over to the weekend. Abel dabbed his brow with a handkerchief before tucking it away into his pocket as he strolled down the street towards the apartments where he was currently residing. He'd been at the market shopping for groceries for dinner that evening. He stopped on the sidewalk, groceries in hand, when he spotted someone ahead carrying boxes inside.

Approaching, he offered the stranger a polite smile. "Bonjour. Do you need any help with those?" he offered kindly. Was this a new neighbor? Or just a hired hand? He'd never seen the other around here before, though he hadn't been renting there for long himself. Perhaps a week or so. It would be a bit strange to not be the newest face around for once.

Sadly, I don't think they're at the same party. I think Souji went to Meriburn while Kyrie is in Brecaea, but the princess waved through the 4th wall anyway.

Edmund didn't know what he was doing. Half of him was on autopilot, the other half was trying to slow down and think through his actions carefully. But no matter how much he tried to reason with his own mind, he found himself closer and closer to the lower tiers of the palace. Closer to the airship ports.

"Where is it..." He muttered to himself, feeling around the walls of the small corridor. "I put a it here somewh--"

He cried out. His knees suddenly buckling to a sharp pain in his side. When he looks, he finds one of his own crafting knives plunged between his ribs, as well as a the red stain of blood quickly flowering from the wound.
