what the hell is up with LONAW telepaths

I know Drazi telepaths are canon because they're mentioned in the books or on screen sometime. We know races outside the main four have telepaths!

But I have no clue how strong they are or what they are even like. Because they never show up on screen!!! :/

Then I go to the wiki and it tells me canonically the Abbai are all weak empaths and the humans have a lot more strong telepaths than anyone else and cites Other Voices Vol 3?!

Apparently there's a bunch of random canon on aliens in Other Voices Volume 3. I can't find a PDF scan anywhere.

So, to anyone that has it, does it have any other information on alien telepaths in B5?

Babylon 5 echoes

I reblogged about a Good Thing which J. Michael Straczynski and the B-5 costume people did, and - about an hour later - it helped me finally reach an itch which I haven't been able to scratch for several days.

Long story short, @dduane and I are putting together a shopping list to send for some Continental goodies - nothing elaborate, just interesting hard-to-find pasta and that sort of thing - and one of the pastas was the source of that itch.

I'd been trying to remember its name so as to order some, but the name rattling through my mind was close, but wrong, so close that if I could just pin down where the wrong one came from, it would make room for the right one.

And it did.

The pasta name is "Pipe Rigate", which looks like this:

However, the name I was misremembering was "Paso Leati", which looks like this (on the right)...

...because it was Londo Mollari's "fighting name" as a member of the Couro Prido duelling society in the episode "Knives".

Ragù, garlic and Parmigiano Reggiano are not involved.

Sheesh.

Went to a con, played a bunch of games, and bought a lot of new miniatures this year, mostly historicals including a lot of plastics. But the Sunday flea market is the most anticipated moment of the weekend's shopping. After sorting through my haul some of the highlights include

A 1979 Ral Partha Evil Lord on Litter; I've already sourced his missing throne back.

A bag full of Rogue Trader era Citadel metal vehicles, including 4 complete dreadnoughts from 1987 and an assortment of marine and ork speeders, bikes, trax and buggies.

One metal Sister of Battle from the first 1997 release, ready to purge heretics with fire.

A bunch of 6mm sci-fi battlesuit infantry made for Ogre Miniatures in 1993, to (briefly) hold urban terrain areas against advancing cybertanks.

And a bag of Babylon 5 Wars/ACTA ships, including a shadow omega -- I believe that kit was from the early 2000s by Mongoose, using parts from Agents of Gaming's original 1990s omega and shadow vessel models.

Because no game is "dead" as long as you play it again, and because the recent flood of miniature-agnostic indie games shows no signs of slowing down.

This vid was actually inspired by the Backstreet Boys original music video. I still have the vivid memory of watching or rewatching the original music video in @ars-amatoria ’s kitchen. And then at some point realizing it is perfect for the Borg. Am I original, am I the only one? Fembots by Grammarwoman. Multi-source. Sexy sharp editing and fun use of all the sources. The intersection of women and technology: a spectrum of clones, AIs, gynoids, cyborgs, and other artificial creations. On by @rhoboat77. Star Trek: Picard. A Soji fanvid. Rho has the sharpest editing skills this side of the Internet and this Soji vid is so fucking badass and worth 100 rewatches. Can’t hold me down cuz you know I’m a fighter. Que Sera Sera by @ohvienna. Star Trek Voyager and Picard. Seven of Nine.Nobody vids their Seven of Nine love like @ohvienna. You gotta watch this if you love Seven. Whatever will be, will be…"
