WE SHOULD ALL DO WHAT WE CAN TO PROTECT THE PEOPLE MOST VULNERABLE TO THE CORONA VIRUS!
What if instead of having special shopping hours for people at risk of dying from COVID-19, anything they needed could be brought to them by people who have been screened for and test negative for COVID-19?
Moreover, what if people only went to the stores to buy what they absolutely needed in order to get by?
That way we could minimize people going out in public to buy things they don't need, like 3 month's supply of milk, for example.
Let's press pause on the economy!
Let’s allow everyone who doesn't absolutely need to go in to work stay home during this epidemic. Let people work from home remotely, if necessary. Let everyone get paid as they normally would if they were going to their job, regardless of their current situation.
Let's pretend like things are normal, and just stay inside for the sake of protecting the most vulnerable… just until we stop COVID-19 from spreading anymore.
What if we all treated this like a stay at home vacation, a stay-cation! We can do the best we can with what we already have at home, and only go out in public to get something when absolutely necessary.
Boredom happens. Boredom will not kill us. If we have to, let us allow ourselves to be bored...
There are so many things to do, things to think about, listen to the news. Talk to family! Reconnect with friends! Catch up on projects that need to be finished around the house. Read a book. Cook dinner. Watch a movie. Play a board game. Binge on Netflix. Talk to people. Learn a new skill. Youtube a tutorial. Read an article online. Minimize our waste the best that we can! Always be humble and kind.
If COVID-19 is not spreadable long distance through the air, sit on the porch or play in the back yard. Look at the stars at night. Wonder about the vastness and awe of the universe.
Make do with what we can. There is no need to go out to the store to replace that toothbrush I've been putting off replacing for a month, I can use that toothbrush for now and wait until the pandemic is over. There is also no need to buy that toothbrush online to have it delivered to me. Most people will be okay for a few more weeks with their old toothbrush.
Ask yourself: Do I need to order this non-essential item online right now and shop for material objects on my time off?
I am not worried for myself if I got COVID-19. I have a strong immune system, and will be just fine. My mother, on the other hand, is taking immuno-suppressants for her rheumatoid arthritis. She may not be fair so well if she were to get COVID-19.
That would be terrible if I were to catch COVID-19 while being out and about for my own pleasure and spread it to a person who is more vulnerable to dying from the virus than I am. Even though I am healthy enough to survive COVID-19, that does not mean I should not consider every other being who could die if they caught COVID-19.
I need to consider my actions for the next few weeks and consider whether my actions could put vulnerable people at risk of catching the virus.
Is going out in public absolutely necessary and in the best interest of the ones I love? Sometimes it may be absolutely necessary. Many times it probably will not be absolutely necessary.
Should people at risk of dying from COVID-19 really go out shopping? Would it be impossible to get them the things they need by having it delivered by people who were determined to be COVID-19 free? Lots of people are not working, there seems to be a lot of potential people that could volunteer.
I can't test myself for COVID-19. If I don't have it, I'd be happy to volunteer some time to bring essentials to people who are at risk of dying of COVID-19 so they can safely remain indoors.
People delivering items to other people's doorsteps should be screened for COVID-19. Why would we not make sure that people delivering items to others are not themselves contagious?
It would not be a good idea for a person infected with COVID-19 to be delivering things to people's doorsteps.
Amazon, UPS, FEDEX, and the USPS should all be ahead of the game and testing their deliverers for COVID-19 before they go out and make deliveries. If their employees test positive, allow them to stay home and pay them anyway. To the companies of these employees: These people are not only your workers, they are your family, take care of them during this time.
This virus will not last forever, and the more that everyone helps one another, the shorter this period of isolation will need to be.
Love your neighbor. Help your neighbor.
If you have COVID-19, stay inside and pray for your neighbor. Wave through the window and smile.
Serve others. Do what you can do to better everybody, including yourself.
We will be okay if we love each other, care for each other, and make decisions based on the needs of others. All our actions don't have to be based on our own wants and desires all the time.

We can be very smart, very capable, very strong, and very loving beings when we need to be. Right now we need to be. :)
