Terry and Miguel are referred to as Batman Beyond and Spider-Man 2099 only in the marketing. No one calls them that in their stories. People simply call them Batman and Spider-Man. Also, if Miles was meant to replace Peter, he would've done so already. Do you know who actually replaced a specific hero? Barry Allen replaced Jay Garrick, and then was replaced by Wally West, Johnny Storm replaced Jim Hammond as Human Torch, Joaquin Torres replaced Sam as Falcon, each Robin is a replacement of the previous one, etc.
