This one basically covers what I feel the harsher tone of the album  “The Sunset Tree” represents to me visually, of course there’s lighter moments, but at it’s core it’s love, hate, and poison.

The Mountain Goats - Lion's Teeth

I dreamed last night I was slaying dragons. I had armor and a sword and there was fire breathing down on me from the mouths of too many beasts. 

But I killed them all. And at the end of the dream, with the dragon corpses piled high, I saw what the dragons were guarding and realized why I had to kill them.

I don't remember what it was. I only remember the feeling of the realization.

And then I woke up singing this song.
