I love my setup with Superslicer and Klipper. Starting 3d prints from my desk instead of moving over an sd card has saved me sooo much time.

At the moment I'm messing with PrusaSlicer, which has profiles for a lot of Anycubic printers but not this exact one. I sought out some homemade profiles and I'll probably end up glomming those together into one composite profile.

If I remember correctly, Superslicer and Prusa are very closely linked and share a lot of codebase.

The printer actually comes with some prepared Cura profiles but they don't use the autolevelling features effectively. For now Prusa seems to be good enough, It'll be a moment before I start running up against software limitations as oppose to simple knowledge boundaries, I haven't really done 3D printing before, and I only know g-code in theory.

Testing modelling, slicing and printing with a small prototype of a motor mount clip for the quadcopter PCB I've had lying around for months. If the tolerances are good this would be able to clip in to the existing motor mount as a motor size adapter. Modelling was done in FreeCAD based on the original PCB schematic.

10 minutes later:

Tolerances are off, far too tight but that's pretty solvable through trial and error, I don't know what the exact flow profile of this printer is yet but I can learn to compensate for it in modelling or in slicing. Not bad for an hour of fucking around.
