I got my little Zerowriter epaper typing machine working the other day and I'm having fun writing on it and since I actually remembered to install Samba on it so I can actually transfer the txt documents I bang out on it to my laptop to actually edit and further save it.
The problem being that I actually have no idea what Samba or SMB is, I have no idea what will happen to my documents if wifi is down or otherwise off, I don't know how it will save if I make this ultra portable and am away from my laptop and home wifi, and I have no idea what Google Play apps are actually trustworthy to put on my phone to access the network on my Samsung android if that's a thing I need to do if I want to write away from my wifi
Halp I'm the most tech-inept millennial and don't understand shit it took seven hours to get the raspi and Samba working and i may have cried q but bc I didn't know what I was doing

Tbh I'm gonna go back to an iPhone
#i love my xperia but its full of multiple bugs that sony refuses to fix or even acknowledge#on top of their customer support being a nightmare to even get into contact with#through any avenue tbh#not to mention only two years of software updates and three of security updates which like.#I'd rather not be carrying around a Huge Risk Factor in my pocket#i can say a lot of shit about apple#all of which is true but at least they have a pretty decent commitment to consumer privacy?#idk i wanted to like this phone and the android experience and for literally so many reasons I very much do!#native 3.5 mm headphone jack and expandable storage are so nice#as is the camera and 4k screen#but at the end of the day the signal is spotty#and if you have more than one wifi network saved into the phone it will reset itself constantly#and even if you don't it will just kind of Do That#not to mention that after one software update sony put out the blacks in my screen started to have a green tint#betextyiff

I switched to Linux and had to install a different desktop environment to get at the useful settings as well as a program to be able to format usb drives and sd cards and I still haven't figured out screencasting (the workaround I have is to use google chrome which is. not ideal) and I have to use a special program to use a good third of the programs I need because they aren't available on Linux and sometimes that doesn't work and I have to reboot the computer into windows and every other day I have to google a fix for some basic function that doesn't come by default on ubuntu
and it is STILL better than just using Windows 11
#legit considering getting a device supported by ubuntu touch#or fucking around and seeing if I can't get one of my old phones to run it#but I don't know much programming so we will see#original#windows keeps fucking up the clock and someone online said they delete drivers randomly#which explains why I couldn't get to my wireless settings or figure out where to see available networks when my wifi disconnected#windows 11 is a fucking mess

𓂃 ࣪⋆🛜˚ ༘ password not protected ⋆ 境萌花

in which y/n and the chaotic friend group invades moka's apartment for a totally productive study session. and when she jokingly entering their own name as moka's wifi password, it actually works...?
starring. sakai moka x fem!reader
word count. 1.5k
genre. fluff , friends to lovers , non idol au , illit members as supporting (shipping) bffs
the second you step into moka’s apartment, chaos follows — because where your friend group goes, quietness dies.
"i brought snacks!" wonhee cheers, dumping an armful of stolen chip bags onto the coffee table with the pride of a victorious thief.
a few bags slide right off, landing at your feet. you scoop one up, grinning as she adds, "and by brought, i mean i raided minju’s secret stash."
minju gasps, clutching her chest like she’s been shot. "you traitor! those were for my sacred horror binge nights!"
yunah, already sprawled across moka’s floor like a lazy cat taking up as much space as possible, smirks. "too bad. sacrifices must be made for the holy ritual of…" she squints at the untouched textbooks in the corner. "oh right, studying." she throws air quotes around the word before launching a highlighter straight at your head.
you catch it without looking — years of yunah’s relentless attacks have sharpened your reflexes — and roll your eyes. "we all knew this was never gonna be a real study session. admit it, moka, you only agreed to host because you’re weak for us."
moka tugs at the sleeves of her oversized sweater and sighs. "i can say no," she mutters, even as you flop onto the couch beside her, stealing the blanket right off her lap.
she doesn’t even fight you for it — just like she never fights you for the last slice of pizza, or the seat by the window, or anything, really.
you smirk. "but you don’t."
"because she adores us," wonhee chimes in through a mouthful of chips.
moka shoots her a glare, but you don’t miss the way her ears go pink. so you bump your shoulder against hers, just to tease her further. "face it, moka. you’re stuck with us."
she huffs, but she doesn’t pull away. and when you toss half the blanket back over her legs, your fingers just barely brush against her knee. and for a second, she freezes. then she relaxes, leaning into your side ever so slightly.
you pretend not to notice. but yeah. you totally noticed.
iroha grins at the two of you like she knows exactly what she’s seeing. you kick a chip bag in her direction to shut her up.
study session? yeah, right. this was always just an excuse to be close to her.
-
your phone chooses this exact moment to betray you, flashing a dreaded 1% before the screen dims to darkness.
no. no no noooo
“moka,” you whine dramatically, shaking your phone like it’ll magically resurrect itself. “emergency. if i don’t send this meme to roha right now, i’ll literally perish.”
moka rolls her eyes but nudges her own phone toward you. “use mine.”
you push it back. “no, i need my phone. just give me your wifi password. please? i’ll owe you my firstborn child. my soul. my—”
a slow, mischievous smile spreads across her face. “guess it.”
you groan, already clicking on the wifi network. “ugh, fine.” you glare at the password prompt like it’s personally offended you. “is it… moka100804? illit4life? tonightisveryveryspecial—?"
moka’s lips twitch. “warmer.”
you squint at her. “…yunahisacheateratuno?”
yunah gasps, offended. “excuse you—”
“colder,” moka interrupts, grinning now.
you huff, then, purely as a joke, just to mess with her, you type in your own name.
connected.
“...what”
across the room, minju's chokes on her drink. yunah's eyebrows shoot up so fast they might fly off her face. wonhee gasps, hands flying to her mouth like she’s just witnessed a marriage proposal. iroha, who had been quietly observing the chaos until now, suddenly slams her hands down on the table, standing up so fast her chair nearly topples over.
and moka?
moka looks like she wants to melt into the couch and disappear forever.
“oh my god,” you whisper, voice dripping with disbelief. “moka. sakai moka. why is my name your wifi password?”
she grabs the nearest pillow and hides her entire face in it, her ears burning red. “shut up.”
“oh, we are not shutting up,” yunah laughs, already pulling out her phone with the speed of someone about to immortalize this moment. “this is going in the group chat. forever.”
you lean in closer, grinning as moka sinks further into the couch. “so,” you whisper, just loud enough for her to hear, “does this mean i’m, like… special special?”
the muffled groan she lets out is everything.
wonhee fake-swoons onto the floor. “i can’t believe i’m witnessing true love.”
moka finally lifts her head just enough to glare.
“so,” minju drawls, leaning forward with the grin of a predator who’s just spotted weakness, “since when is y/n the password to everything, moka?”
moka’s ears burn nuclear red. “it’s—it was easy to remember!”
“uh-huh,” wonhee says, nodding sagely like she’s delivering some grand revelation. “just like how you coincidentally always save y/n the last bite of your food?”
your head whips toward moka.
“or how you accidentally bring up their favorite band every single time we hang out?” iroha adds, giggling like she’s just won the lottery.
your brain short-circuits. “wait. what?”
moka lets out a strangled noise and buries her face in her hands, her entire body curling in on itself like a disgraced shrimp. “i hate all of you.”
yunah smirks. “no, you don’t. you just hate that we’re right.”
the room explodes into chaos, but you?
you’re stuck staring at moka, your heart pounding so loud you’re sure she can hear it.
“moka,” you say, voice barely above a whisper.
she peeks at you through her fingers. “…what?”
you lean in, grinning. “is your laptop password my name too?”
she squeaks — an actual, honest-to-god squeak — and flings a pillow at your face.
you don’t even dodge. it’s worth it.
wonhee fake-gasps. “oh my god, it is!”
moka launches herself off the couch like a woman on a mission, scrambling toward the kitchen. “i’m disowning all of you! effective immediately!”
you watch her flee, laughter bubbling in your chest.
but suddenly, everything makes sense.
the wifi password. the way moka won’t even meet your eyes right now. the way everyone is grinning like they’ve known this secret for years.
but then the memories hit you, one after another, in perfect, painfully obvious clarity. and suddenly, you’re the idiot who didn’t realize the sky was blue."
two weeks ago, at the café
moka slides her plate toward you without a word, the last piece of chocolate cake untouched.
“you’re not finishing it?” you ask, already reaching for the fork.
she shrugs, staring resolutely at the wall behind you. “not hungry.”
minju, from across the table, mouths, “liar.”
you didn’t think much of it then — just happily devoured the cake while moka pretended not to watch you with that soft, unreadable look in her eyes.
last month, when you mentioned going out with someone
“you’re going on a date?” moka’s voice goes unnaturally high, like she’s just been startled. “with—with who?”
you blink. “just that girl from my econ class... jeemin? why, do you know her?”
she stiffens, fingers tightening around her drink. “no. i just… don’t trust her.”
“jealous,” yunah coughs into her soda, earning a death glare from moka.
at the time, you laughed it off — figured she was just being protective. but now?
now, you remember the way her jaw clenched. the way she spent the rest of the night weirdly quiet. the way she never asked how the date went.
-
the apartment falls suspiciously quiet after your friends suddenly "remember" urgent obligations.
yunah with an exaggerated wink, wonhee and iroha with a poorly concealed giggle, and minju "accidentally" dropping half her belongings on the way out just to stall for drama.
the door slams behind them, leaving you alone with moka, who is now very intently studying the ceiling like it holds the secrets of the universe.
you take a slow step closer.
"so… my name, huh?"
moka exhales sharply through her nose, arms crossed tight over her chest. "yeah..."
"just… my name," you press, biting back a grin. "no numbers, no special characters. just… me."
she finally meets your eyes, her cheeks flushed that perfect shade of pink you’re suddenly obsessed with. "yeah."
a pause. then, softer, almost defiant, "like… you’re the key to everything, or whatever."
your heart stops.
then it kicks back into overdrive, pounding so hard you’re sure she can hear it.
"that's the cheesiest thing you’ve ever said," you whisper, voice cracking.
moka groans, hiding her face in her hands. "shut up." but she’s smiling. that tiny, reluctant, beautiful smile that’s always been just for you. oh god, how did you miss this?
you close the distance between you in one step, gently tugging her hands away from her face. her breath hitches.
and then —
well.
let’s just say your phone stays disconnected for a long time after that.
but you don’t care about the countless messages piled up on your dead phone.
because moka’s lips taste like stolen chocolate cake and unspoken confessions, and you’re exactly where you’re meant to be.

In 2015 Vladimir Putin concluded that Rotschilds were up to no good with their satanic luciferian agenda:
1. Mind control the people
2. Decrease the world population
3. Commit genocide via chemtrails, smart meters, wifi, mobile networks, etc.
So what did Putin do upon concluding that their intentions were not in line with the peoples Russian orthodox values?
He banned each and every one of them from entering, doing business, owning business or land in, or otherwise having anything to do with Russia at all.
Knowing this now... Do you see why our government always spoke bad and blamed Putin for everything? What other countries and their leaders are they always blaming for things as well? The corrupt government, media and celebrity puppets did the exact same thing to Trump. It's called the "Smear Campaign," where they identify, smear and terminate. It's NOT working anymore, the people see it because it was happening to Trump supporters also.
Is the puzzle coming together now? 🤔

ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤlittle theorizing timeee~~~
beware, spoilers for i spent 100 days hidden in a secret minecraft base.
(ps ps. i didn't do a post for the other eps, but fuck yeah, FUCK YEah, i called it. the director is sooooo meta. fist up in the air moment.)
the moment the director involves themselves in the story they wrote, egg stops being meta (mentioning his irl life, literally said he watched spoke's videos when wemmbu asked him if he knew spoke) and starts taking uu seriously (literally told someone to chill because minecraft empires were Not That Serious, famous words thirty minutes before taking a minecraft empire Very Seriously), and spoke is acting out of character + there's clearly missing story between s1finale and s2e1. do you reckon the director is finally stepping up, busy with hunting down parrot and orchestrating tax duo's gradual descend, so they don't have enough time to fill in spoke's blank spots? couldn't bother to write anything abt minute and mape? because, a director only has two hands. godly being or not, i assume the director has a human-like form. maybe someone like cc parrot. :)
since we're going down this rabbit hole, do the mcs have protagonist halos? is it a halo granted to them by the director? then, can they lose it? when they lose it, will they stop uploading, because they are no longer center piece? also, i believe s2 is gonna heavily revolve around taking away the mcs' support network. isolating them from their best friends (wifies, eggchan and mape. i had a feeling when they killed off wifies, but egg suddenly doing a 180° just furthered my suspicions. and today we Clearly saw, mapicc and minute were not even Mentioned or referenced).
on that line of thought. the video was so out of character and Not unstable universe like at all, that when spoke actually brought up s1 after being weirdly vague about squiddo and ash as if he hadn't known them more closely than he was acting like, that it actually broke my immersion a little bit? so not immersive i got immersed in the not-immersiveness. 😭
side note, i don't have the ss but squidswag kiss in uu i know that's right... i knowww ash did that on purpose, and the way squiddo went quiet. 😭🫵🏻 why are We third wheeling. why is Spoke third wheeling rn.
also we saw a new side to ash today. :) he's a retired guy who just wants to live in his bunker with squiddo. i can respect that, to the point i felt... kinda bad for ash! crazy isn't it? since when do i, the viewer, feel bad for ash and (mildly) upset at spoke? after the stunts ash pulled? whatever spoke did may lowkey be his karma ngl. :crying:
by the way... ash is changed now that he is no longer the director's pawn. does this mean uu characters were already existing, not entirely the director's creation; just being influenced by the director? but when the director is no longer puppeteering their strings, they are now perhaps free to be the person they always were. maybe ash liked squiddo because squiddo was not a big character in the director's plot, so they saw through the role that was put upon him by the director.
not to cleanse ash of his sins, i think it'd be interesting if the director actually chose the puppets for their play based on pre-existing ambitions and traits. would make ash still a greedy manipulator, but maybe he wouldn't make a whole ass mafia?
hey. doesn't this whole yap remind you about someone else? egg, perhaps? what if the director got egg. influencing him, taking away the bits from egg that inconvenienced his plans. the fact that egg was so meta was inconvenient, wasn't it? egg may just be the closest to busting your whole play. without egg, wemmbu always seems to crack less jokes. to take the situation more seriously. without egg around, wemmbu is less likely to break the fourth wall; to even realize it's there in the first place.
wowieee i went a bit crazy yapping my head off, but hey. we'll see how far fetched this was. :P
you 🫵🏻 will not convince me that spoke s2e1 isn't intentionally edited that way. it feels meta in a weird way. if i can care enough i'll rewatch it and hopefully come out with a theory about why it's this way.
#boo's yap#unstable universe#spokeishere#wemmbu#eggchan#parrotx2#wifies#typed this out while waiting for the bus + on the ride + finished when i arrived

Scarlet Whispers pt 5
Gif not mine
A/N: I.... as always, don't know how I feel about this chapter. Anything involving the 'horror' theme is... not my forte.
Pairing: Wanda Maximoff x Female!Reader
Trigger warnings (let me know if I forgot to tag anything): Mentions of past child abuse, ongoing adult child abuse, stalking, horror, dubcon, kidnapping, stockholm syndrome, gaslighting, angst, smut. There will be bits of fluff tho.
Rating: M. Minors DNI
Masterlist with parts 1-4 here
You weren’t quite sure what woke you up later that evening, only that you found yourself staring at the opposite wall, and unable to go back to sleep. It didn’t happen often since coming to live with Wanda, but in the past, a nice warm cup of tea would help put you back to sleep, so you decided that would be your best bet.
As you quietly got out of bed, being careful not to disturb the witch, a light caught the corner of your eye: Wanda's phone. It was connected to the charger and blinking with a new notification. You couldn't help but feel curious. Shortly after arriving here, Wanda had informed you that due to her magic, there was almost no network connectivity available, whether cellular or wifi. None of your gaming devices or cellphone had any network connectivity, so you had to rely on Wanda to update anything for you whenever she left your home. Because of this, you tried not to bother her too much. After all, you didn't really need the most up-to-date patches since you couldn't play online with anyone anyway.
You were confused about why her cellphone had a new notification if none of your devices had network connectivity. You assumed she would have checked her notifications since the last time she went out, which was at least a week ago. Personally, you couldn't stand having any of those little banner notifications and always cleared them as soon as they appeared, even if it was just by swiping them away from the notifications bar without actually reading them. So, the sudden appearance of a new notification on her phone puzzled you. There shouldn’t be any service for it to have come in recently. At least, not if you trusted what Wanda had been telling you...
A heavy, gnawing sensation settled in the pit of your stomach, creating a sense of unease. Undoubtedly, it was a breach of trust. Surely Wanda, of all people, didn't deserve for you to go snooping through her phone. She had always been kind, helpful, and loving towards you. Yet, despite her unwavering support, at the first sign of something that didn't quite add up, you found yourself doubting her. Why didn't you simply ask her instead?
But.. was it the first time? You were having flashbacks to all those moments of deja vu.
Haltingly, you took slow, hesitating steps towards Wanda’s nightstand where her phone lay. You didn’t understand this feeling of dread within you. You wanted to attribute it to your general mistrust of the human race as a whole, but your gut was telling you this was something more. You were in danger, you just didn’t know how or exactly where, but it had to do with the witch who's been sleeping next to you.
Shaky hands picked up her phone, and with your thumb, you pressed the power button to turn on the screen. Unsure of exactly what you would find, and the notification was innocuous enough - a news article regarding some superhero. What caught your attention was the date - it was listed almost ten months since you and Wanda had left your parents’ house. To your knowledge, it’s only been a month or so.
This couldn’t be right. Ten months? No. That wasn’t possible. Did time flow differently here maybe? You wanted so badly to give Wanda the benefit of the doubt, but now that you had opened Pandora’s box, you had to keep going. Hoping you wouldn’t accidentally awaken the witch, you held the phone in front of her face, and it unlocked recognizing her biometrics.
You should probably go to the bathroom to view this without risking waking Wanda up, but your feet refuse to move. Instead, you remained standing there, opening article after article, all of which displayed the same date. Curiosity led you to check the calendar app for today's date, and you had to stifle a gasp as it confirmed what the articles had stated. While you thought it had only been a month or so, Wanda had kept you here for ten months, employing fantasies and electronics to prevent you from questioning her.
Your grip on the phone waivered as you began recalling those moments of déjà vu. As you concentrated and tried to break through the fog of those memories, clarity emerged. You had asked for freedom. Wanda had yelled at you. You had yelled back. Then, Wanda had used her magic to make you fall asleep and erase your memories, essentially starting over and preventing you from realizing how much time was actually passing. How many times had that happened?
Wanda was not keeping you here to help you; she was your captor. The need to escape fought violently against your desire to stay with the woman you had come to adore, even if she had kidnapped and lied to you.
You place the phone back quietly, trying to make your way out of the room as silently as possible. It dawns on you that you should probably pack a bag or something. You have no idea where you are exactly, but if you don't leave now, there's a chance you may never escape.
Quietly, you escape the confines of the house, and head out of the grounds. You aren’t sure exactly where you are going, but you know you have to keep putting one foot in front of the other until you reach civilization. Previously during your numerous strolls across the grounds, you had noticed a vague perimeter, but never had the witch allowed you to go too far. Now you were intent on heading beyond the boundaries she had set, and you were in the dark on what you would find.
Speaking of the dark, even though the moon and stars were visible on this clear night, you had forgotten to grab a flashlight. Or rather, you had elected not to bother looking for one in your hurry to flee. Consequently, the darkness felt more overwhelming than you were accustomed to. You stumbled multiple times, each instance you were praying that you wouldn't accidentally sprain or break something. You weren't sure what was worse - the possibility of facing Wanda's wrath if she should catch you, or dying from the elements if you were to injure yourself and be unable to continue.
As you approached the tree line that marked the boundary Wanda had set, you paused. This was the farthest you had ever been. In truth, you had never even been this close before. Whenever you got within about ten paces, the witch would always give you a gentle warning. Curiosity tickled your thoughts as to what would happen next. Not all of Wanda's magic was mere illusion; she had the power to alter reality itself. What would occur when you crossed the tree line? Would you plunge off the side of Mount Wundagore to a grisly demise, or would you simply step into the woods as they appeared to be?
Either option had to be better to take the risk than to remain a prisoner in what you once believed to be the safety of your own home. Summoning your courage, you stepped into the forest and were surprised to find solid ground. As you continued, each step affirmed that this transformation by Wanda was real - the mountain had truly become a beautiful countryside. Perhaps there was a chance to escape after all. Without hesitation, you ventured further into the forest, hoping to reach civilization on the other side or find a safe hiding spot within before Wanda woke up.
Unknown to you, Wanda had set up protective barriers to alert her if you ever ventured too far. True to form, the moment you stepped beyond the tree line into the woods, her eyes snapped open, blazing with anger. You were leaving. Despite everything she had done for you. Despite the bond you two shared. The witch swiftly leapt out of bed, conjuring a portal not far behind you, determined to catch up with you. Did you really think you could escape her? You would dare? She would teach you. You belonged to her, and she was growing weary of this back-and-forth game you were playing.
As you fled through the forest, it grew denser, blocking out the moonlight. Initially, it seemed easy enough to navigate, but as you continued, the underbrush became thick, causing you to trip every few feet. The seemingly safe forest now loomed around you ominously, your paranoia starting to take over as you heard the skittering of various creatures around you. Logically, you knew they were probably just as startled as you, given how loudly you were thundering through their home. Still, that didn't stop you from feeling eyes on you the further you went, and you began to question if this had been a good idea after all. Unfortunately, it was too late to turn back, and you came to the uncomfortable realization that you didn't even know which direction home was.
A branch snapped somewhere to your left, causing you to turn your head so fast that you wouldn't be surprised if you woke up tomorrow with a crick in your neck. That is, if you managed to survive tonight. You froze in place, your heart pounding in your chest, your breathing loud in your ears as you strained to hear the source of the noise.
It was extremely unsettling for you to realize that the entire forest had suddenly fallen into complete and utter silence. No birds, no animals, nothing at all...
A leaf crunched. This time closer.
Fear seized your heart and you willed yourself to do something. Anything. Run. Hide. Just, something.
Suddenly, you became aware of a low growling sound approaching, and it became clear you were in serious trouble. Why hadn't you stayed inside the house? There must have been a logical explanation for the date change, and Wanda had always been kind to you. Maybe you were just remembering those arguments incorrectly. Now for your misplaced distrust, you were facing imminent death at the hands of something that likely had sharp teeth. Gods, how you despised sharp teeth.
A snarl to your left startled you, freezing you in place as your eyes frantically scanned the forest for whatever had made the noise. You could vaguely make out the silhouette of a creature on all fours not far from you, and your blood felt like it had frozen in your veins. Why hadn't you just gone back to bed next to Wanda?
As you witnessed the shape hurtling towards you from the darkness, a red streak intercepted it, accompanied by the yelp of an injured animal. You blinked and observed a fatally wounded wolf on the ground nearby. Your gaze followed the trajectory from which the red streak had come, revealing Wanda in her pajamas, her hands outstretched with red magic flowing through them, rushing towards you.
"Y/N, are you okay?!" Her voice was tinged with alarm. One hand extinguished her magic to gently hold your arm, while the other remained prepared for any possible threats. With a caring eye, she inspected you for any serious injuries, but found none. Satisfied that you were relatively unscathed, she finally registered your shocked face as you remained silent.
“Y/N what’s wrong? Why are you out here? Talk to me, please?” Wanda extinguished the remaining magic and took your hand, her ire at you dissipating at the fear of you having just been in danger that wasn’t from her.
“I- I had a nightmare. I’m sorry. I don’t know what happened. I just had to run.” You figured that would be believable enough - your night terrors sometimes had you fleeing for your life, you just usually accidentally woke up Wanda in the process before you could get too far. This would be the first time you would have made it out of the bed without waking her up.
Your gaze drifted back to the deceased wolf on the forest floor, and you couldn’t seem to shake the state of shock you were in. Wanda didn’t think anything more of your explanation, your night terrors happened often enough, and you didn't seem to be fleeing from her. It was the only thing that made sense to her. After all, everything had been okay earlier, there was nothing to indicate you were unhappy or would try to leave her.
Relieved that you were unharmed, and not attempting to escape, the witch focused on trying to calm you, as she could see telltale signs of you beginning to disassociate. Gently, she placed a hand to your cheek, tilting your face until you were making eye contact with her. “Don’t look at it, dorogoya, it’s okay. You’re safe. I’ve got you. Let’s go home, okay?”
In that moment, all you wanted was for Wanda to handle all your thinking. Anything else required too much effort, and honestly, you were too exhausted for anything else. You nodded and leaned into her touch, allowing your eyes to flutter shut as you embraced the sense of security she provided. Your hand reached up to cover hers on your cheek, interlocking your fingers with hers.
You heard more than saw the portal she summoned to take you both home, and blindly followed her through it back into your room. Hands still interlinked; she led you into the adjoining bathroom. At this point you had mentally checked out, completely overwhelmed by the night’s events. Under normal circumstances you would be mortified that Wanda was about to see you naked in this state - filthy, covered in scratches from your stumble through the woods, but you couldn’t find it within yourself to care. It didn’t help that you had entered a non-verbal state.
Wanda made it easier for you. Although this wasn't how she had imagined the first time she would see you naked, her main concern was to clean your wounds and ensure your comfort so you could fall back asleep. Tenderly, she assisted you in undressing, her eyes never lingering or straying where they shouldn't. She only took quick glances to assess any damage. You were grateful for her magic, which meant you didn't have to wait for the water to heat up to the perfect temperature.
She didn't bother undressing herself, but simply helped you into the shower under the falling water and followed in after. First, she helped wet your hair and then lathered it with shampoo before rinsing. The sensation of her blunt nails against your scalp was so soothing that you almost fell asleep. Then, Wanda took the washcloth, lathered it with soap, and started gently washing your body, beginning with your face. As gently as possible, the red head cleansed your wounds and removed the blood and dirt from your skin.
After deeming you sufficiently cleaned, Wanda turned off the water and began toweling you off, wrapping you up in a towel. She then discarded her own waterlogged clothing and began drying herself. While you stood there, feeling useless, Wanda grabbed pajamas for both of you and helped you put them on. After, she then put on her own pajamas before leading you back to bed.
“Do you want to talk about it, Y/N/N?”
You shook your head and climbed into bed after Wanda. Instead of the usual routine where she held you from behind as the big spoon, you surprised her by snuggling into her arms, facing her, and resting your head in the crook of her neck. Although you still had questions about the cell service on her phone and the months you were supposedly missing, Wanda has been kind to you, and she just saved your life. Those questions can be addressed another day. Finally feeling safe again, you allowed your exhaustion to consume you.

DAY 5894
Jalsa, Mumbai Apr 7/8, 2024 Sun/Mon 2:06 pm
🪔 ,
April 08 .. birthday greetings to Ef Bhavana B Rao from Bangalore .. 🙏🏻🚩
April 06 .. belated birthday greetings to Ef Karan Dhillon .. and Shreyasi J. Singh from Indore .. 🙏🏻🚩
.. so there may be thought that the Blog has had a late night .. but no .. the cable has been cut outside by 'cable cutters' .. some digging goes on to enhance the Newtwork .. and hence the absence for such .. they still working on it .. and hope that it shall be restored soon ..
The Dongle .. the Saviour in such occurences is emplyed but does not seem to be functioning to its optimum ..
Ahh .. the exigencies of modernity and communications ..
BUT ..
we move on ..
and there is some respite tp to the Mumbai Indians .. we won finally .. and pray we continue .. with due respects of course to those that support other teams .. which is a constant dilemma ..
SO .. a hypothetical case in point ..
Your dharm sthan .. धर्मस्थान be Allahabad, now Prayagraj .. UP .. but your support team is in Mumbai .. your कर्मस्थान .. karm sthan .. so where does your allegiance lie during a game match between MI and LSG .. the Mumbai Indians v The Lucknow Super Giants .. Lucknow the Capital of the State of UP - Uttar Pradesh .. UP ..
😳
😁
.. and many other such ..
its a bummer .. !! if the slang can be used here .. apologies !!
Sunday at the GOJ are no such exigency .. they are universal in its execution and desire and presence ..

.. and you see and read docu's of certain happenings in the World of yesterday and today and the days to come and wonder .. how on earth does the human mind think and react and execute its life and the lives of others ..
It is never in peace and harmony .. mistrust and intrigue and doubts and the facade of friendship .. and the reasons, why and the wherefore ..
history keeps changing and is abreast of the culture and way of the circumstances and the mind ..
and each year and month and day we think what shall tomorrow hold .. or indeed what shall today .. and the confusion of what did we do and what shall we do to leave behind for the progeny .. for they are the true inheritors ..
OR .. as Babuji has put in his poem on INHERTANCE .. 'वसीयतनामा' .. the document that contains your WILL ..
'my sons, just because they are my sons, shall not be my inheritors .. they that are my inheritors shall be my sons .."
'मेरे बेटे, बेटे होने से मेरे उत्तराधिकारी नहीं होंगे ; जो मेरे उत्तराधिकारी होंगे, वो मेरे बेटे होंगे' ~
so we rumble along , network difficulty and all .. the alternatives being brought into operation .. the Dongle, the WiFi of the personal phone .. and so on ..
THERE ARE SO MANY ALTERNATIVES IN TODAY'S WORLD .. SAY IT AND IT IS THERE ..
BARING YOUR SOUL .. 😇
My love ..

As the Trump administration's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) continues to rampage through the United States federal government, essentially guided by Elon Musk, the group has also been upending traditional IT boundaries—evaluating digital systems and allegedly accessing personally identifiable information as well as data that has typically been off-limits to those without specific training. Last week, The New York Times reported that the White House is adding Musk-owned SpaceX’s Starlink Wi-Fi “to improve Wi-Fi connectivity on the complex,” according to a statement from White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt. The White House's Starlink internet service is reportedly being donated by the company.
Spotty internet is an annoying but highly solvable problem that WIRED has reported on extensively. Of course, the White House is a highly complex organization operating out of a historic building, but network security researchers, government contractors, and former intelligence analysts with years of experience in US federal government security all tell WIRED that adding Starlink Wi-Fi in a seemingly rushed and haphazard way is an inefficient and counterproductive approach to solving connectivity issues. And they emphasized that it could set problematic precedents across the US government: that new pieces of technology can simply be layered into an environment at will without adequate oversight and monitoring.
“This is shadow IT, creating a network to bypass existing controls,” alleges Nicholas Weaver, a member of the nonprofit International Computer Science Institute's network security team and a computer science lecturer at UC Davis. He adds that while secret and top secret information is typically (but not always) processed only on special, separate federal networks that have no wireless access, the security and uniformity of White House Wi-Fi is still extremely important to national security. “A network like the White House unclassified side is still going to be very sensitive,” he says.
“Just like the Biden Administration did on numerous occasions, the White House is working to improve WiFi connectivity on the complex,” White House spokesperson Karoline Leavitt tells WIRED in a statement.
A White House source who asked not to be named supported the switch, arguing that in some areas of the campus, “the old Wi-Fi was trash.”
Researchers point out that while Starlink is a robust commercial ISP like any other, it is not clear that it is being implemented in compliance with White House Communication Agency requirements. If the controls on the White House Starlink Wi-Fi are more lax than on other White House Wi-Fi, it could introduce security exposures and blind spots in network monitoring for anomalous activity.
“The only reason they'd need Starlink would be to bypass existing security controls that are in place from WHCA,” claims former NSA hacker Jake Williams. “The biggest issues would be: First, if they don't have full monitoring of the Starlink connection. And second, if it allows remote management tools, so they could get remote access back into the White House networks. Obviously anyone could abuse that access.”
One baffling aspect of the arrangement is that Starlink and other satellite internet is designed to be used in places that have little or no access to terrestrial internet service—in other words, places where there are no reliable fiber lines or no wired infrastructure at all. Instead of a traditional ISP modem, Starlink customers get special panels that they install on a roof or other outdoor place to receive connectivity from orbiting satellites. The New York Times reported, though, that the White House Starlink panels are actually installed miles away at a White House data center that is routing the connectivity over existing fiber lines. Multiple sources emphasized to WIRED that this setup is bizarre.
“It is extra stupid to go satellite to fiber to actual site,” ICSI's Weaver says. “Starlink is inferior service anyplace where you have wire-line internet already available and, even in places which don't, inferior if you have reasonable line of sight to a cell tower.”
Weaver and others note that Starlink is a robust product and isn't inherently unreliable just because it is delivered via satellite. But in a location where fiber lines are highly available and, ultimately, the service is being delivered via those lines anyway, the setup is deeply inefficient.
While Starlink as a service is technically reliable, incorporating it in the White House could create a long-term federal dependence on an Elon Musk–controlled service, which could create future instabilities. After European officials raised concerns earlier this month on whether Starlink might stop serving Ukraine, Musk posted on social media: “To be extremely clear, no matter how much I disagree with the Ukraine policy, Starlink will never turn off its terminals … We would never do such a thing or use it as a bargaining chip.”

Guys, my workplace gifted me a macbook pro (the one I formerly forced @ubuntu-official on) and now that she's really mine forever and I don't mind any data loss, please give me some ideas on what I can do to her :3
Stats down below:
Stats: Macbook Pro 13,3 | A1707 | 2016 info_dump.txt (Pastebin) - contains all hardware info 12.7.6 Monterey. No app store, no xcode, no support from Apple.
Ubuntu barely boots, Kubuntu even less, and even then most of the time the display blacks out right away after boot or after just ONE ACTION. The system "techinically works" as there are things on the screen, but THERE IS NO SCREEN for me to see. Display dies.
I kinda wanna do things to work. Play some games with someone and have a little tinker station when I'm on the go
Poor thing is beaten and hurt, her battery is moody and her touch bar numb. One port is broken and Linux kills her wifi and ability to speak. (There is a patch to enable sound but it either that or the broken network driver made the display issue worse somehow??? Windows works up to Windows 10(needs boot camp drivers and at that point I could just use Boot Camp and debloat afterwards))
Oh yeah, and liquid damage :/

re last post. once this student came to the desk like in a tizzy, soo frazzled, and she explained to me the issue and said we likely couldnt help her but the it desk on campus was closed and apples customer support was being unhelpful too. the problem was she had an issue with her macbook and had to reset it, not knowing that a completely blank newborn macbook wouldnt have a way to connect to the college wifi, which requires you to use your student login. it needed to connect to the net but at that stage of its life she could only enter in a password like for a standard typical network. i tried a few things and nothing worked (they were all things she had tried already too...) and then i thought about it and realized that my phone has a hotspot. so i connected her to my hotspot and from there she got signed in and could connect to the college wifi. :)

Simzlink Wifi by Lot 51
this hyper realistic mod add wifi into your sim's game that is functional! I love this mod and can't wait to test it out.
Creator's notes-
Simzlink is the best network in Llama Nation! This mod brings Internet, TV, and Music subscriptions to The Sims 4 – locking down interactions based on service status, and so much more! Like the modern world, dealing with Simzlink is a work out – you have to deal with WiFi ranges, your service will go out every now and then, you’ll be billed separately with harsh late fees, and dealing with Customer Service might make your pull your hair out. All interactions on computers and tablets will be locked down until you’ve subscribed and setup an Internet Router. Like the real world, computers and tablets will need to be within range of an online Router. WiFi can only broadcast on the same floor, so you will need multiple Routers if you have computers on multiple floors. TV’s and Stereos require separate TV and Music subscriptions that can be added to your service through Customer Support. TVs and Stereos do not have to be within proximity of a Router. As long as there is one Router on the lot turned on you will be able to connect.
I was unable to find a page where you can support the creator but it seems as if they have a website which you can find here, remember to show your love and support

PC Components and You: A Brief Primer
(a.k.a "Just What Is Adam Talking About In Those Random Posts of His?")
"Building a computer" is one of those things that sounds like an incredibly complicated technical feat, but is in reality much less difficult than it sounds. Most of the stress, in my experience, happens when you're trying to pick out parts. Second place being when the build is done and you know you've forgotten to plug something in, but can't for the life of you figure out what. Once you've got a handle on what the different parts are and do, it's mostly a process of inserting tab A into slot B, and when it's over, you'll have a machine you know inside and out and customize to your liking.
(all images from PC Part Picker unless stated otherwise)
1. The CPU

(screenshot from GamersNexus)
The Central Processing Unit, or CPU, is probably the first part you'll pick out in a build, and the second most important for gaming, image and video editing, and various CAD-related stuff. Your choice CPU will determine your options for a motherboard and RAM. You two mainstream choices for CPUs will be Intel and AMD.
Aside from a general rule of "newer tends to be better", a CPU's performance is usually determined by core count, thread count, and clock speed.
Core count, shockingly enough, refers to the number of individual processing cores. Any desktop CPU you buy today is a multicore processor, and in 2025, nothing below 6 is worth looking at. Thread count is the number of instruction sets a core can work through at the same time (put very simply; it's more like the threads quickly taking turns). Strictly speaking, more cores is preferable to more threads, but you want as many of each as you can get, especially in CPU-intensive workloads.
Clock speed is the speed at which a core operates, the faster the better. Many users manually raise the power draw of their CPUs to increase the clock speed, hence the term "overclocking".
2. The Motherboard

The thing that all the other things plug into. The Motherboard is mounted inside your case and lets all your components coordinate with each other. The nervous system to the CPU's brain. A motherboard's capabilities are determined by the CPU socket, and the chipset. They are developed by the same companies as CPUs, but manufactured and sold by a number of third-party companies.
The CPU socket is pretty self-explanatory: It accommodates compatible CPUs and only compatible CPUs; an Intel chip will not fit an AMD motherboard, or vice-versa, and trying will destroy multiple expensive pieces of hardware. A given socket may be used for multiple product generations, and older boards can usually use newer chips that fit, after a BIOS update; a board made for, for example, a Ryzen-1000 series processor in the Socket AM4, could work with anything up to a 5000 series, assuming the BIOS supports it.
A chipset determines what and how many devices a board can support, although a given board might not use all of a chipset's features.
Many (but by no means all) motherboards have built in connectivity for things like ethernet, wifi, or audio and video output (for integrated graphics, more on that below), via the rear I/O ports.
A motherboard will have a certain number of SATA ports, which connect hard drives, full-sized SSDs, and optical drives (assuming your case supports one). Headers to connect your case's USB ports, audio jacks, and fans will usually be located along the edges of the board.
PCIe slots allow for expansion cards that increase your PC's functionality with features that aren't included on the main board, like a graphics card or a network adapter. Most boards include at least one full PCIe x16 slot, and one lower-bandwidth PCIe x1. The current standard is PCIe 5.0.
BIOS is the motherboard's onboard firmware, although most modern systems use the technically different but functionally identical UEFI (which, as I recently learned, is a requirement for Windows 11). Some boards allow for either to be used, depending on what your operating system supports.
3. Cooling
(image from Amazon)
CPUs generate a lot of heat, enough to cook themselves. You need a cooling solution; in fact, most motherboards won't even let the system power on unless the dedicated cooler fan power header is plugged. Coolers are placed directly against the CPU with a conductive thermal compound and attached to the board. In a common air-cooler, the heat is radiated through the fins and expelled via fan; liquid cooling options exist for the enthusiast.
Many lower-power CPUs still come with coolers included. Higher-end chips need coolers purchased separately. The companies' rationale is that the better chips can be overclocked, which makes them run hotter, necessitating heftier cooling than it was cost-effective to provide.
4. RAM

Random Access Memory, RAM, is the high-speed memory that passes information between your storage, CPU, and peripherals. You need it for your computer to work at all, and you need more of it clocked higher for your computer to work well. You can get by with 16 gigabytes, but these days I'd recommend 32.
RAM slots on your motherboard are specialized, and vary in shape depending on which generation you're using. The current standard is DDR5, and generations are not intercompatible. A DDR4 stick (or DIMM) will not work in a DDR5 slot, or vice-versa. The sticks are notched off-center and can only be inserted one way.
Most consumer boards have two or four RAM slots, and run in dual-channel, meaning that they work best with identical DIMMs in the first and third or second and fourth slots (the reasons for this are complicated and I don't fully understand them, but that's how it works). It's my understanding that it's better, in a four-slot board, to have two high-capacity sticks than it is to have four-lower capacity ones for the same total RAM, as performance suffers when drawing from four sticks at once (also complicated, also don't fully understand it).
Besides capacity, your RAM's performance depends on its clock speed and its CAS latency. The sticks pictured above, for example, are DDR5-6400 CL32, meaning it runs at 6400 megahertz with a base latency of (more or less) 32 nano seconds. It's mechanically more complicated than that, and a faster frequency will negate much of the negative impact of a higher latency. In general you want higher clock and lower latency, with preference given to higher clock speed.
5. Storage

Long-term memory. Your storage drives will come in two broad categories: Solid State Drives (SSD) and older mechanical Hard Disk Drives (HDD).
SSDs are pure flash storage and have no moving parts, and are much faster than HDDs, which read their data off of spinning platters. This allows them to be smaller and quieter.
Desktop HDDs have 3.5''platters (which is where the 3.5/2.5 form factor distinction comes from). They're one of the noisiest components in a PC, but are relatively cheap nowadays; the WD Blue drive pictured above is roughly half the price of its SSD counterpart. Their best use case now is for the mass storage of low-impact files like music or videos. It needs both a SATA cable to connect to the motherboard, and a power cable from the PSU.
Modern SSDs are additionally split off into two types, one of which is further subdivided by interface. A regular old 2.5'' drive is connected by SATA cable and needs a power cable to run. This type is generally your cheapest solid state option, and I'd consider it the minimum for your OS and programs.
The newest option is an M.2 drive, distinguished by plugging directing into your motherboard (or an expansion card), and needing no separate power cable, allowing for a much cleaner setup. They vary in length and width, ranging from a bit larger than your big toenail to a little bigger than a stick of gum, and are very thin without a heatsink attached. Older M.2 slots are on the SATA standard, and typically won't run any faster than the 2.5'' drive pictured above. An NVMe drive, on the other hand, is both faster internally and uses a specialized PCIe slot. Their ports may or may not be intercompatible, depending on your motherboard. More demanding programs like games at high resolutions and settings benefit tremendously from running off an NVMe drive.
6. Graphics

At it's most basic, your Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) is just there to put all the stuff your computer is doing onto a screen for you to see. They range from extremely basic display adapters useful for nothing more demanding than youtube videos, up to absolute beasts capable of rendering every strand of hair in lifelike fidelity at the highest of resolutions. They come in two varieties: Integrated (iGPU) and discrete or dedicated (dGPU). They're developed primarily by Nvidia and AMD, with Intel recently reentering the entry-level space, and primarily manufactured and sold by third-party companies.
Integrated graphics are built directly into the CPU and output through the motherboard. They're primarily display adapters, use your onboard RAM, and can usually only handle relatively lightweight gaming and productivity workloads. The simplest and cheapest option if you just need to see what you're doing and nothing more, but not every CPU includes one.
Dedicated graphics cards plug in via your motherboard's PCIe (usually in the top fullsized x16 slot), have their own RAM, and typically require supplemental power over a special cable from the power supply. A high-powered card is essential for heavy gaming, editing, and CAD rigs.
Like CPUs, GPUs use multi-core setups. With GPUs, however, the core count is much higher, because the workload for each is much simpler. As always, newer and more will usually beat older and fewer.
Video RAM (VRAM) is where the GPU arguably sinks or swims. Textures and effects are big and resource-intensive, and you need VRAM to load it up and push it through to the display. Even a good GPU will be let down by insufficient VRAM. 16gb is the minimum for a modern workload; 8gb can can and should be ignored for anything more than esports or pre-ninth gen titles.
These are the problem children of the PC building world; they're already the most expensive single piece in most builds, and they're by far the most subject to both manufacturer whim and market volatility. This is because their high number of simple processing cores make them great at the number crunching you need for things like cryptocurrency mining and, more recently, AI development. AI devs in particular have become the primary customers for most of this hardware, leaving the gaming and productivity crowds to fight for whatever scraps the manufacturers deign to pass along to the consumer market. The 9070xt pictured above, a card I would describe as "the high end of mid", has an MSRP of $600, and is currently selling on Amazon for $780. I don't trust the used market myself (for about 450 reasons), but it's an increasingly attractive prospect for a lot of people.
7. Power Supply

You probably don't need me to explain what this does. One bit goes into the wall, one bit goes in everything else. The power supply (PSU) supplies power. It's a critical but often overlooked part of a computer; half the reason I tell people to stay away from pre-built computers is the uncertain provenance of the components, and nowhere do things get less certain than with weird cheap OEM power supplies from companies nobody's ever heard from. They make it next to impossible to add anything in because their wattage is so low, and the first suspect in a system failure. You want a reputable brand. A good PSU can take you through multiple builds if you treat it well; a bad PSU can destroy your entire computer, and might not stop at that. It isn't that much more expensive to get something reasonable, and it's money you won't miss.
A power supply needs to be able to pull enough wattage from the wall to feed your whole system. A graphics card is usually the biggest power hog, but overclocking will also raise demand. All parts have a wattage requirement; take note of it and buy accordingly. (the second reason to avoid cheap power supplies/prebuilts: the wattage is always low, and even the ones that work can't support new parts)
You'll notice a rating badge on most boxes for 80+ certification. This means that the PSU is 80% power-efficient at various levels of load. The tiers run from basic 80+ all the way up to 80+Ruby. Basic 80+ is what I'd call the bottom of the barrel. 80+Bronze is the safestpoint for price and quality, Gold being what I'd personally feel safest at.
Every PSU has a large-plug ATX cable for the motherboard power(you'll know it when you see it, trust me), a smaller plug for CPU power(probably glance at the manual for that one), and at least one connector for SATA devices (usually three plugs per cable in my experience). Any decent PSU will have at least two for SATA, additional molex connectors, and one or two PCIe power cables to power the graphics card. You may need an adapter for that last one, which will usually (but not always) come with the card.
Power supplies are sold as either modular, semi-modular, or non-modular. A modular PSU's cables are all detachable. You plug in what you need and leave the rest in the box. Semi-modular is similar, except for the board and CPU cables, which are attached. Non-modular, as the name suggests, has all the cables attached, and is the least attractive option in terms of aesthetics.
DO NOT USE THE CABLES FROM ONE POWER SUPPLY IN ANOTHER. THEY ARE NOT THE SAME. THIS CAN DESTROY YOUR COMPUTER. ALWAYS GET REPLACEMENT CABLES FOR YOUR SPECIFIC MODEL FROM THE MANUFACTURER.
As with most components, power supplies vary a bit in size, and the size you can use is dictated by the last item on today's walkthrough...
8. Case

If Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace taught us one thing, it was that George Lucas needs competent people on scripts and editing who are willing to tell him when something isn't working. If it taught us two things, the second one is that machines don't like to be naked.
The case does four things for your build: It provides the structure upon which all other components hang; it keeps out dust, debris, and pests; it ideally provides and directs the airflow to keep everything from getting too hot, and it lets you move everything in one go.
Cases generally come in one of four common form factors: Mini-ITX (both a case and board standard) is the smallest and most portable; Micro-ATX (ditto) is larger with more room for expansions. Mid-Tower cases, the most common, have a respectable amount of space and can fit most components. Full Towers are the biggest you'll find outside of server or custom markets, can fit the most and the biggest components, and are all but certain to make people ask "what the hell do you have in there!?".
Cable management between your power supply, mother board, and other components is usually done via the small space between the motherboard mount and the detachable right-hand side panel on most cases. Proper cable management is good for airflow and looks better if you have a side panel window.
You'll want a case that's big enough to accommodate the rest of your build, easy to work in if you need to adjust something, and with enough ventilation and case fans (preferably filtered) to keep it clean and cool.
Beyond those requirements, everything else is up to you. If you don't particularly care about front audio or USB, there are cases that omit it. If you do, you'll have plenty of options there as well. Glass or plastic side panel to show of your build? They've got 'em. Want to cheat on cable management and shove all your cables into a pile out of sight? Your PSU basement literally has you covered. There are cases that prioritize hard drive space, cases that are built for watercooling loops, hell there are still options for things like internal optical disk drives if you want one. Black is the standard for color, but you can find others.
Further Reading
You'll note I didn't actually include a how-to in this little guide. While it's not as complicated as it sounds, building a PC is involved, and I find it helps to watch it being done (it sure helped me). Paul's Hardware has some good step-by-step instructional videos.
For what I think are good product reviews and coverage of industry news, I prefer GamersNexus and Hardware Unboxed.
For putting together your own build, checking power consumption, and doublechecking compatibility, I can't recommend PCPartPicker highly enough.
For build advice, consider r/buildapc.
