if you’re writing a fic you should NOT use ai. it’s obvious and copy/pasting something chat gpt spit out based on a prompt you gave it is not art. i will block you, i’m not even exaggerating. as a smaller author on this platform it’s disgusting to see someone do that.

some of you might remember that two years ago i was trying to save up $1000 (to cover rent, etc) during a pretty rough time. but thanks to you guys, whether you donated or even just reblogged, i was able to get through it. :-)

it’s been so long since then. i’ve missed you guys more than you know... life kind of swallowed me whole, with uni, work, trying to heal, trying to function. i haven’t been online here, and i really miss this community and the way this blog felt like my own safe little corner of the internet.

the good news: i’ve paid off $900 of that $1000 on my own.

the bad news: i still have $100 left… and only 5 days to cover it before it turns into a bigger problem. i’ve done everything i can—i skipped meals, picked up every little job — but i’m stuck, and i need help.

with that, i hereby announce that i’m reopening commissions, and tips via ko-fi are also very appreciated. even if you’re not in a place to give, just a reblog goes such a long way. i’m doing my best to be more active here again, and every bit of support means the world.

Ok, this is amazing I recently passed the Tumblr shoelace ritual. Long story short, I was at a market day in my school and saw some stickers. Gandalf's big naturals. Even as someone who doesn't really spend that much time in the LoTR/Hobbit area of Tumblr, I knew about That. I couldn't help myself, it was right There. Probably far to giddily holding that Gandalf sticker (with wasn't just a normal old big naturals, mind you. That wizard was in a laced bra, usually enough to turn me redder than a tomato)

"Which one of you designed this?" I asked on of the two people at the stall (ps everyone was selling their own sruff, so I wasn't afraid in the slightest that the creator of this wouldn't be there.)

"She did," the one I talked to responded. Oh my heart was pounding. All social awkwardness completely evaporated in the face of THE most Tumblr Thing I could do.

"I like your shoelaces." Gosh, I wish I could have talked to literally anyone with half the confidence that I had in that moment. I'm pretty sure I saw just a tiny bit of life drain from their eyes. I'm so sorry but c'mon. Gandalf Big Natruals stickers. Did you really think you could avoid this?

"Thanks. I stole them from the president." I WILL RIDE THAT HIGH FOR THE NEXT MONTH, AT LEAST.

ps. If anyone finds my new buddy (I know it's unlikely but gotta give it a shot.) Just want to let you know that their art is amazing and you should definately by something from them if they take commissions.

you can use http://haveibeentrained.com to search for your images and find out if your work has been used for AI.

In there, you can choose to opt out, but AI companies are not obligated to respect it so it isn't too much of a protection unfortunately 😭

Also be aware that they are associated with AI and they did try to badmouth glaze so artists wouldn't protect themselves; which's very bad for a company that allegedly are on the side of the artists.

Also!!! There's a new type of AI that I was just made aware of last week, Copainter.

It completes unfinished work, which can be used for 'stealing and claiming it theirs', so put a cat picture in the next wips you post as well!

This gorgeous print is from @kingcael from their Ko-fi shop :) This came super fast and is so so pretty. Nice, glossy paper. I love staring at it and finding more and more details.

This masterpiece is from @petitesieste aka Arcanescribbles :) Check out her Instagram to see this art in HQ. I'm so happy to own her work now. This is a gorgeous piece from inprnt. The colours and details are amazing. (Scribs, you should post this art on here)

I didn't wanna buy the Glorious Ovulation/Jesus/Hozier one. They're too obscure and I'm already too socially awkward to confidently wear this one outside. But. I'm so happy with it. It's so dumb. Plus the shirt will fold over or crinkle and then he'll look ssilly or scared.

i am a broke, mentally ill, autistic butch lesbian dropout who can't afford a car to get a "normal" day job. my girlfriend does not earn very much from her job, is chronically ill and requires more expensive groceries. so we spend a lot of our money on that even with food stamps. i can't really afford anything for fun. i am averaging about ~$450 a month the past couple of months and am trying to start tabling at conventions, which also requires money to prepare for.
