can you tell us a bit about your less popular characters? (anybody that isn't cantor LMAOOOOOO/SILLY)
INHALE
giggle
So Serial Designation B was apart of an old squad, consisting of her, SD-U, and SD-I. Though eventually she couldn't get oil in time, so she overheated and died. Up until Cantor found her, they had been experimenting on dead drones and decided to test on B as well! Cantor had an interest in bees at the time due to his botany so he used it as inspiration for B's design! With the modifiers, B has a longer and thinner tongue, antenna to detect things, extra pairs of eyes, extra arms, a thorax, and most importantly - the abillity to turn water into oil. Though she can only do it to self-sustain herself.
Then theres Serial Designation R, who was apart of the OG squad in canon Murder Drones. She was used as a living shield for the others, and was deemed so unimportant she had no records in the company and the rest of her squad didn't know her name (N did try to cover it up by calling her nicknames such as "Buddy" or "Pal" or such though). Eventually she decided to finally leave when J tried to us her to block Uzi's railgun. J yanked on R's tail and ripped it off. Then R had to use their wings to block the blast, which caused a lot of bruising and such. She had enough and abandoned her squad. She was a loner for a while, before Cantor found her. He offered to replace her tail and to let her stick around, and she accepted. She joined the squad with B, Cantor, U, and I. And yeah :3
then theres Cryp WHICH NOBODY KNOWS ABOUT SOB (That is totes my fault tho i dont talk about them). Cryp was one of the first, if not the first drone Cantor tested/experiemented on. or.. should I say drones. Cause Cryp is a fusion between two! Cantor took the body of a worker drone and a disassembly drone and mashed them together. Cryp was originally functioning like any other normal drone, but shut down before R came/a short while after (still figuring the specific time frame out). Sometime in the future though, Cryp powers back up. Sorta? Her systems are offline.. and its a complete mystery on how she's able to function. Cantor suspects its because he might of gotten a worker drone with the solver, so had a zombie drone and a disassembly drone fuse, and along with his own coding it caused them to be able to function without their systems being online.
Oh also theres a lot of angst with B and Cantor's relationship, and B, Cantor, and Cryp's relationship. Buuut i wont get into that hehe.

Hidden Camera Plug Socket
In the modern world, security and privacy are top concerns for individuals and businesses alike. The need to protect homes, offices, and other private spaces from unwanted intrusions or potential criminal activity has never been more urgent. One of the most effective ways to ensure the safety of these spaces is through covert surveillance, and nothing achieves this better than a hidden camera plug socket. This ingenious device allows users to monitor areas discreetly without raising suspicion.
In this comprehensive guide, we’ll explore everything you need to know about hidden camera plug sockets, including how they work, their key features, the various applications, and how they compare to other surveillance options. We’ll also dive into legal and ethical considerations to ensure you're fully informed before making your purchase from EU Spy Shop.
Tumblr media
What is a Hidden Camera Plug Socket?
A hidden camera plug socket is a surveillance device cleverly disguised as a standard electrical outlet. It looks and functions just like any other plug socket, but inside, it houses a miniature camera that can record video and, in some cases, audio. These devices often come equipped with advanced features such as motion detection, night vision, and remote viewing capabilities.
The main advantage of a hidden camera plug socket is its ability to blend seamlessly into its surroundings, making it virtually impossible to detect. Whether placed in a home, office, or public area, no one would ever suspect that the ordinary-looking plug socket is secretly recording their activities.
How Does a Hidden Camera Plug Socket Work?
The camera is cleverly integrated into the body of the plug socket, usually at a position that provides a clear view of the room. The device is powered by the electrical system of the building, meaning it doesn’t require batteries or frequent recharging. Some models can store footage on internal memory or an SD card, while others offer real-time streaming via Wi-Fi to a smartphone, tablet, or computer.
The camera may be triggered by motion, meaning it only records when there is movement in the room, which conserves memory and eliminates unnecessary footage. Depending on the model, the hidden camera plug socket may also record in low-light conditions, thanks to infrared technology, ensuring that nothing is missed even in the dark.
Key Features of Hidden Camera Plug Sockets
1. Discreet and Covert Design
The most appealing aspect of the hidden camera plug socket is its subtle, undetectable design. It looks exactly like a regular wall socket, ensuring that no one becomes suspicious. Whether you’re using it for home security, monitoring employees, or gathering evidence in a sensitive situation, the covert nature of this device makes it an ideal choice for discreet surveillance.
2. HD Video Recording
Most hidden camera plug sockets come equipped with high-definition (HD) cameras that provide clear and detailed footage. Common resolutions range from 720p to 1080p, ensuring that you capture every detail, from facial features to fine movements. This makes it easier to identify individuals or incidents when reviewing footage later.
3. Wide-Angle Lens
To maximize coverage, many hidden camera plug sockets feature wide-angle lenses. This means that a single device can capture a broad area, reducing the number of cameras needed for comprehensive surveillance in larger rooms.
4. Motion Detection
Motion detection is a common feature in hidden cameras, and plug socket models are no exception. The camera remains inactive until movement is detected in the area, which then triggers recording. This feature is particularly useful for saving memory and only capturing relevant footage. Additionally, some models send real-time alerts to your smartphone or computer when motion is detected.
5. Night Vision
For surveillance during low-light or nighttime conditions, many hidden camera plug sockets come equipped with infrared (IR) technology. This allows the camera to record clear footage in complete darkness, ensuring round-the-clock protection.
6. Remote Access and Live Streaming
Wi-Fi-enabled hidden camera plug sockets allow users to monitor live video feeds from their smartphone, tablet, or computer. This real-time access is especially useful for those who travel frequently or want to keep an eye on their property while away. With remote access, you can view and control your camera from anywhere in the world.
7. Loop Recording
Like many surveillance devices, hidden camera plug sockets often feature loop recording. This means that once the storage capacity is full, the device will overwrite the oldest footage with new recordings. This ensures continuous monitoring without the need to manually clear memory cards or hard drives.
8. Two-Way Audio (Optional)
Some advanced models offer two-way audio, allowing you to communicate with individuals in the room via the hidden camera. This feature is especially useful for security purposes or in environments where interaction may be necessary, such as monitoring children or pets.
Benefits of Using Hidden Camera Plug Sockets
1. Undetectable Surveillance
The primary benefit of a hidden camera plug socket is its stealth. It’s practically impossible to detect unless someone knows to look for it. This makes it ideal for situations where overt surveillance could compromise the integrity of the footage or raise suspicion.
2. 24/7 Monitoring
Since the plug socket is connected to your home or office’s electrical system, it can run continuously without the need to change batteries or recharge. Combined with night vision and motion detection, this makes it an excellent choice for 24/7 monitoring.
3. Versatile Applications
Hidden camera plug sockets can be used in a wide range of environments, from homes and offices to retail stores, warehouses, and public spaces. Whether you're monitoring a nanny, ensuring workplace compliance, or gathering evidence in a sensitive case, these devices are versatile and adaptable.
4. Cost-Effective Security Solution
Compared to full-fledged security systems that involve multiple cameras, monitors, and storage solutions, hidden camera plug sockets offer a more affordable option. They provide comprehensive coverage without the need for extensive installation or expensive equipment.
5. Convenient Placement
Because it doubles as a plug socket, you can place the hidden camera in locations where a power outlet is already necessary. This reduces the chance of anyone noticing the device and questioning its purpose.
Common Applications of Hidden Camera Plug Sockets
1. Home Security
Hidden camera plug sockets are often used for home security purposes. Whether you want to keep an eye on babysitters, monitor cleaners or maintenance workers, or simply ensure the safety of your home, these devices offer a discreet way to gather evidence and monitor activities.
2. Office Surveillance
Businesses can benefit from using hidden camera plug sockets to monitor employees and prevent theft or misconduct. These devices can be placed in common areas, meeting rooms, or offices without raising any suspicion, making them ideal for covert workplace surveillance.
3. Nanny Cams
For parents who want to ensure their children are being properly cared for, hidden camera plug sockets can serve as an effective nanny cam. They allow you to discreetly monitor caregivers and ensure your child’s safety without the caregiver knowing they’re being watched.
4. Retail and Store Security
Hidden camera plug sockets can be used in retail environments to monitor customers and employees. They help prevent theft, deter shoplifting, and ensure compliance with store policies without the need for obvious surveillance cameras.
5. Elderly Care Monitoring
For families caring for elderly relatives, especially those with live-in caregivers, hidden cameras can help ensure that proper care is being provided. They can also be used to monitor the safety and well-being of elderly family members when you're not around.
Legal Considerations for Hidden Cameras
Before installing a hidden camera plug socket, it’s important to be aware of the legal implications of covert surveillance. Laws regarding hidden cameras vary by country and jurisdiction, so it's essential to familiarize yourself with local regulations before using such devices.
Privacy Laws
In many countries, it is illegal to record individuals without their consent, especially in private spaces like homes, bathrooms, and bedrooms. Public areas may have more lenient regulations, but it's always best to check the specific laws in your region.
In the EU, for example, the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) governs the collection and processing of personal data, including video surveillance footage. Installing hidden cameras in private spaces without consent could violate GDPR and result in significant penalties.
Ethical Considerations
Beyond legal obligations, it’s important to consider the ethical implications of using hidden cameras. These devices should never be used to invade someone’s privacy without just cause. Always ensure that your reasons for surveillance are legitimate, such as protecting property or ensuring the safety of loved ones.
Choosing the Right Hidden Camera Plug Socket
When choosing a hidden camera plug socket, there are several factors to consider:
Resolution: Opt for a camera that offers at least 720p or 1080p resolution for clear, detailed footage.
Storage: Choose a model with ample storage or support for external memory cards if you plan on recording for extended periods.
Connectivity: If remote access and live streaming are important, look for a Wi-Fi-enabled model.
Power Source: Ensure the device is compatible with the electrical system in your region (e.g., EU power outlets).
Additional Features: Consider whether you need extra features such as night vision, motion detection, or two-way audio.
Conclusion
A hidden camera plug socket is an innovative and effective way to monitor your home, office, or other environments discreetly. With its covert design, HD video capabilities, and advanced features like motion detection and night vision, it provides a comprehensive surveillance solution without raising suspicion. Whether you're looking to enhance your home security or ensure workplace compliance, this device offers a practical, cost-effective option.
Before installing any hidden camera, always ensure that you're complying with local privacy laws and ethical guidelines. When used responsibly, the hidden camera plug socket from EU Spy Shop is a powerful tool for protecting your space and ensuring peace of mind.

How accurate are rapid tests for diagnosing COVID-19?
What are point-of-care rapid tests for COVID-19?
Rapid point-of-care tests aim to confirm or rule out COVID-19 infection in people with or without symptoms of COVID-19. They:
- they are portable, so they can be used wherever the patient is (at the point of care);
- are easy to make, with minimal additional equipment or complicated preparation steps;
- are less expensive than standard laboratory tests;
- do not require a specialized operator or adjustment; Yes
- deliver results "while you wait".
We looked at two types of commercially available rapid tests: antigenic and molecular tests. Antigenic tests identify the proteins of the virus; they come in disposable plastic cassettes, similar to pregnancy tests. Rapid molecular tests detect the genetic material of the virus in the same way as laboratory methods, but using smaller devices that are easy to transport or set up outside of a specialized laboratory. Both nose or throat test samples.
Why is this question important?
People with suspected COVID-19 should know quickly if they are infected, so they can self-isolate, receive treatment, and notify close contacts. Currently, COVID-19 infection is confirmed by a laboratory test called RT-PCR, which uses specialized equipment and often takes at least 24 hours to produce a result.
Rapid point-of-care tests could open up access to testing for many more people, with or without symptoms, potentially in places other than healthcare facilities. Whether accurate and faster diagnosis could allow people to take appropriate action more quickly, with the potential to reduce the spread of COVID-19.
What did we want to find out?
We wanted to know if commercially available point-of-care rapid antigen and molecular tests are accurate enough to reliably diagnose COVID-19 infection, and to find out if accuracy differs in people with and without symptoms.
We were doing?
We searched for studies that measured the accuracy of any commercially produced rapid or molecular point-of-care antigen test in people tested for COVID-19 by RT-PCR. People could get tested in the hospital or in the community. The studies could assess people with or without symptoms.
The tests had to use minimal equipment, be done safely without risk of sample infection, and have results available within two hours of sample collection.
what we found
64 studies were included in the review. They investigated a total of 24,087 nose or throat samples; COVID-19 was confirmed in 7,415 of these samples. The studies looked at 16 different antigenic tests and five different molecular tests. They took place mainly in Europe and North America.
Principle results
Antigenic tests
In people with confirmed COVID-19, antigen testing correctly identified COVID-19 infection in an average of 72% of people with symptoms, compared to 58% of people without symptoms. The tests were most accurate when used within the first week after the first symptoms appeared (on average, 78% of confirmed cases had positive antigen tests). This is probably because people have the most virus in their system in the first few days after infection.
In people who did not have COVID-19, antigen testing correctly ruled out infection in 99.5% of people with symptoms and 98.9% of people without symptoms.
Different brands of tests varied in accuracy. The combined results of one test (SD Biosensor STANDARD Q) met World Health Organization (WHO) standards as "acceptable" to confirm and exclude COVID-19 in people with signs and symptoms of COVID-19. COVID-19. Two other tests met acceptable WHO standards (Abbott Panbio and BIONOTE NowCheck) in at least one study.
Using summary results for SD Biosensor STANDARD Q, if 1,000 people with symptoms were tested for the antigen, and 50 (5%) of them actually had COVID-19:
- 53 people would test positive for COVID-19. Among these, 9 people (17%) would not have COVID-19 (false positive result).
- 947 people would test negative for COVID-19. Of these, 6 people (0.6%) would actually have COVID-19 (false negative result).
In people without symptoms of COVID-19, the number of confirmed cases should be much lower than in people with symptoms. Using summary results from SD Biosensor STANDARD Q in a population of over 10,000 people without symptoms, 50 (0.5%) of whom actually had COVID-19:
- 125 people would test positive for COVID-19. Of these, 90 people (72%) would not have COVID-19 (false positive result).
- 9,875 people would test negative for COVID-19. Of these, 15 people (0.2%) would actually have COVID-19 (false negative result).
Molecular testing
Although the overall results for diagnosing and excluding COVID-19 were good (95.1% of infections correctly diagnosed and 99% correctly excluded), 69% of the studies used laboratory tests rather than point-of-care tests. service and few studies followed the test manufacturer's instructions. . Most of the data relates to the ID NOW and Xpert Xpress tests. We noticed a big difference in the detection of COVID-19 between the two tests, but we cannot be sure that the results will remain the same in a real environment. We were unable to investigate differences between people with and without symptoms, or the time since symptoms first appeared, as the studies did not provide enough information about their participants.
How reliable were the results of the studies?
In general, studies evaluating antigen tests have used more rigorous methods than those evaluating molecular tests, particularly in selecting participants and carrying out the tests. Sometimes the studies did not perform the test in the people it was intended for and did not follow the manufacturers' instructions for using the test. Sometimes the tests were not done at the point of care. Almost all studies (97%) relied on a single negative RT-PCR result as evidence of no COVID-19 infection. The results of different test brands varied, and few studies directly compared one test brand with another. Finally, not all of the studies provided enough information about their participants for us to judge how long they had had symptoms, or even whether or not they had them.
What does it mean?
Some antigen tests are accurate enough to replace RT-PCR when used in people with symptoms. This would be particularly useful when quick decisions about patient care are needed or if RT-PCR is not available. Antigen testing may be more useful in identifying outbreaks or selecting people with symptoms for additional PCR testing, enabling self-isolation or contact tracing, and reducing the burden on laboratory services. People who receive a negative antigen test result can still be infected.
Several point-of-care molecular tests show very high accuracy and potential for use, but further testing of their performance is needed when evaluated under real-world conditions.
We need more evidence on rapid testing in people without symptoms, on the accuracy of repeated testing, testing in non-health settings such as schools (including self-testing) and direct comparisons of testing brands, testers following manufacturers instructions.

Annke BR200: Strobe and Siren Make This The Smartest Analog Security Cam Yet
Our verdict of the Annke BR200 Alarm Security Cam: With a terrifying siren and red-blue strobe, and reliable motion detection, the Annke BR200 is the smartest analog security camera you'll find and a budget price. 710
Most security cameras do one job: they capture video and audio. If you’re lucky they also send you notifications when activity is detected, and let you talk back. But in terms of acting as a deterrent to potential intruders, sometimes the presence of a camera alone isn’t enough. They may not even notice it.
The Annke BR200 is a 1080p/2MP analog security camera–nothing remarkable there. But it also features a terrifying loud built-in siren and bright red/blue strobe light, paired with a reliable motion sensor. That added layer of security should be enough to scare anyone away. All at a budget-friendly price of $100.
Read on to find out more, and thanks to Annke, at the end of this review we’re giving away a BR200 alarm camera and 1TB DVR to get you started.
Annke BR200 Specifications and Features
Connectivity: TVI, AHD, CVI, and CVBS
Resolution: 2MP / 1080p, F1.0
Motion sensor: Passive infra-red (PIR)
Waterproof: IP67 (Junction box may be required to protect cabling)
Additional features: Red and blue strobe light; 130dB loud siren (~90dB on low volume)
Dimensions: 3.1″ high x 3.1″ wide x 5″ deep (main body), total weight 15oz
Analog?! What Year Is It?
The Annke BR200 outputs an analog video signal, meaning that you’ll need an appropriate digital video recorder to use it. There is no direct network connectivity, nor an SD-card slot to record locally. It only outputs an analog video stream. For testing, Annke supplied us with a Soter 5MP 4-channel DVR with 1TB drive, which will set you back around $120 (or $60, if you can supply your own HDD).
I should stress that you don’t need to pair the BR200 with this particular DVR. As long as the format is supported (TVI, AHD, CVI, or CVBS), you can pair this with an existing system of your preference. But it must be paired with something.
Don’t let the word “analog” put you off without further consideration. Analog systems tend to be less prone to networking issues that often plague wireless cameras. Once they’re wired in, that’s pretty much it. The only thing that can go wrong is if the rats chew through your cables.
And while the camera itself may not connect to the network, the DVR you plug it in to probably will. The Soter model supplied connects to Ethernet, and in turn allows the use of the Annke Vision app for remote live monitoring, viewing motion events, and receiving notifications. So you’re not entirely stuck in the past. That does, of course, depend on which DVR you choose to pair the BR200 with. If you’re integrating with an existing system, you may not have that functionality.
Installing the BR200
Designed for use outdoors, the BR200 is as easy to install as you’d expect, with a drill template and a few screws.
Unfortunately, we experienced one small hiccup. The cable supplied with our test unit wasn’t capable of delivering enough power to the camera. While it appeared to initially work, after reviewing the footage we found the video feed cut out when the alarm was triggered. I’m not an electrical engineer, but I would guess the voltage drop over such a long, thin cable was just too much, and it was only the additional power requirements of the light and siren that exposed this.
Shortly after the alarm goes off, the video degrades then cuts out completely (when using the supplied cable)
When I got in touch with support, they told us it would need to be wired directly to the supplied power supply, rather than using the DC part of the cable provided. This severely restricts mounting locations for most users, and isn’t detailed in the manual or sales page, nor would the average user expect that to be the case given a dual video and power cable is supplied. Annke’s support assured us that this was normal, but that in future they would provide power extension cables.
Thankfully I had another BNC and DC camera cable from some previous tests, about 50m in length. It ‘s significantly thicker than the cable supplied, and designed for the outdoors with strong rubber shielding. When plugged into that, the camera functioned perfectly. Annke told us that they would not expect consumers to have or use that kind of “industrial” cabling (which I bought on Amazon for less than $50).
Configuring the BR200 Alarm
After a frustratingly tedious initial setup of the DVR for no reason in particular (it’s just sluggish, confusing, and uses an on-screen keyboard to be operated by the included tiny mouse), we explored the system.
Despite the BR200 featuring a built-in alarm, the feature labeled “Alarm” in the DVR interface is not related at all; it just says “Alarm not connected” if you try to use it.
Instead, you use a unique menu system running on the camera itself, which is manipulated using the pan/tilt/zoom commands from the standard live view screen. It’s a very clever approach and feels like Annke has really pushed the limits of what an analog camera should be capable of.
But it’s also a kludge that simply wouldn’t be needed if it was a smarter IP camera instead.
While BR200’s innovative menu system is fairly simplistic, the DVR supplied in the bundle sadly isn’t. If you’re familiar with CCTV systems I’m sure you’ll feel at home, but for those of us more familiar with modern consumer smart home technology, it all feels horribly outdated and full of language issues or feature mismatches.
For example, to enable notifications you’ll need to first enable the motion detection, then go into advanced settings, go to the tab labeled “linkage action”, then enable Surveillance Center. The app isn’t called Surveillance Center, I should note, it’s called Annke Vision. Oh, and that’s assuming you can even get the networking and cloud connectivity working. The interface didn’t indicate it was connected once I’d plugged in the cable, and kept reporting errors. It took a few restarts until it accepted that it did, in fact, have a network connection. But it still refused to connect to the cloud service, which is needed for notifications. After recording the main part of this review, it suddenly decided to start working. Of course. The fact that they need an entire support guide just to enable phone notifications should be indicative.
Thankfully, the core tasks of viewing event directly on the DVR via a connected HDMI or VGA monitor is quite simple, so it’s only the initial configuration where you’ll have the most issues.
Annke BR200 Image Quality
While the alarm and strobe are fantastic deterrents, ultimately a CCTV camera is about capturing video of the intruder. The 1080p image from the BR200 is nothing remarkable, but nor is it particularly bad. You’ll find higher resolution cameras, even analog ones. But since the Annke BR200 is designed to cover a small, motion-activated area, 1080p should be sufficient.
There is no audio recorded, and I had trouble decoding exporting clips in Final Cut. VLC seemed to work fine, but there’s a good reason they include a video player executable file when you export. According to the documentation, videos are stored using h.265+ format, allowing up to 98 days of four cameras worth of footage to be stored on a 1TB drive. I suspect the “+” part of that means something about the implementation is proprietary, however.
Should You Buy the Annke BR200 Alarm Camera?
I can’t fault the design of the Annke BR200, and the image quality is acceptable. But what really makes the BR200 stand out in the terrifying loud alarm and strobe light. The psychological impact of the red and blue lights can’t be underestimated. Thankfully the PIR motion sensor means your neighbors won’t be plagued by constant false alarms.
If you have an existing analog CCTV system and these features appeal, then I highly recommend integrating some of these into your system. It won’t break your budget, and it may actually prevent a break-in, rather than leave you with footage of a masked intruder for insurance purposes.
Unfortunately, the rest of the package that we tested just isn’t up to scratch. I certainly couldn’t recommend an entirely new CCTV install with the Soter DVR and Annke Vision app. A good IP camera system may be more expensive in the short term, but if you value your time and sanity, you’d be well advised to spend a little more instead.
For the average home user looking for a single combined camera and alarm system, you should also look elsewhere. You’ll probably find more useful features like AI face recognition or a more user-friendly app on a modern cloud-connected smart home camera.
While this is undoubtedly the smartest analog security camera around, perhaps it’s time we said our final goodbyes to analog CCTV systems.
Enter the Competition!
