Although @swiftperformances has their own album art, I always change it to fit my library’s theme but I used the same image she did. Swift Performance Bewertungen Einrichtung Performance Fazit Swift Performance In meinem Artikel über Caching Plugins habe ich neben anderen Plugins auch Swift Performance kurz angerissen. Vom Umfang her habe ich bisher noch kein vergleichbares Plugin entdeckt welches dermaßen viele Funktionen unter einem Dach vereint. Neben dem eigentlichen Caching Plugin kommt Swift Performance mit den folgenden Funktionen: - Image Optimizer Dieser geht im Vergleich zu anderen Lösungen sehr flott ans Werk und nach relativ kurzer Zeit waren alle meine Bilder optimiert und entsprechende WEBP Versionen erstellt. - Datenbank Optimierer Bietet die Funktionen zum Bereinigen der Datenbank die man von anderen Plugins kennt - Plugin Organizer Hiermit lässt sich einstellen, dass zum Beispiel Plugin XYZ nur auf bestimmten Seiten geladen werden soll. Das ist hilfreich wenn das Script für euer Kontaktformular auf allen Seiten geladen wird - es aber eigentlich nur auf der Kontaktseite benötigt wird. Alle Funktionen sind unter einer beinahe selbsterklärenden Oberfläche vereint. Bewertungen Swift Performance hat in der Vergangenheit einige schlechte Bewertungen erhalten. Hier ging es hauptsächlich um Kündigung des Abo's und Reaktionszeiten des Supportes. Ich kann aktuell beide Kritikpunkte nicht bestätigen. Mein Abo wurde problemlos gekündigt und so konnte ich den Lifetime Deal in Anspruch nehmen. Der Support kommt in der Tat nicht an den Support von WPRocket (was Reaktionszeiten und Dokumentationen betrifft) heran. Dennoch wurden meine Fragen zeitnah in der Facebook Gruppe des Plugins beantwortet. Vom gleichen Hersteller gibt es inzwischen quasi den Nachfolger zu Swift Performance. Das neue Plugin hat den Namen Swift AI, verursacht bei mir in der Version 0.3x leider aber noch Probleme. Ich werde mir das noch einmal anschauen wenn Swift AI die Version 1.x erreicht hat. Von Swift Performance gibt es eine kostenfreie, wenn auch abgespeckte Version. Um sich einen Überblick über die Leistungsfähigkeit zu verschaffen, reicht die freie Version erst einmal aus. Einrichtung Bei der Einrichtung des Plugins habe ich mich in weiten Teilen an die Anleitung von WPJohnny gehalten. Damit bekomme ich Performance Ergebnisse an die auch WPRocket nicht herankommt. Dazu unten mehr. Die Caching Ausschlüsse müsst ihr natürlich an eure Wordpress Installation anpassen. Das ist mit wenigen Mausklicks erledigt. Insgesamt hat das Einrichten aller Einstellungen (inklusive Image Optimizer etc.) bei mir etwa 90 Minuten gedauert. Wie oben erwähnt vereint Swift Performance eigentlich mehrere Plugins unter einem Dach - da gibt es die ein oder andere Einstellmöglichkeit. Nach ausgiebigen Tests auf der Webseite als nicht angemeldeter Benutzer habe ich die funktionierenden Einstellungen exportiert. Export und Import von Einstellungen sind ebenfalls über das Plugin möglich. So habe ich funktionierende Einstellungen immer als Backup zur Hand. Performance Da gibt es nicht viel zu sagen, ausser Wow :-) Kein anderes Plugin (auch nicht das von mir geliebte SWIS) erreichen die Werte die Swift Performance konstant erreicht.  Ergebnisse bei Google Page Insights wie 98 bei Mobil und 99/100 beim Desktop Test habe ich bisher noch nicht erreicht. Was immer die Programmierer da beim Caching machen, dies tun sie offenbar besser als zumindest ein Teil der Konkurrenz. Probleme auf meinen Seiten habe ich mit den Einstellungen die WPJohnny empfiehlt nicht feststellen können. Fazit Mir gefällt das Konzept mehrere Performance Plugins unter einem Dach zu vereinen. Insbesondere das Zusammenspiel von Caching und Image Optimizer finde ich hervorragend gelöst. Das mein bei der Warmup Tabelle gezielt einzelne Seiten in den Cache laden kann ist gerade bei Tests sehr hilfreich und ein weiteres Highlight. Wie oben erwähnt gibt es von Zeit zu Zeit gibt es von Swift Performance sogenannte Lifetime Deals. Diese rechnen sich meines Erachtens mehr als das Abo Modell. Ein Lifetime Deal (LTD) macht natürlich nur Sinn wenn ihr plant das Plugin dauerhaft einzusetzen. Irgendwann wird Swift AI dann das alte Plugin ersetzen. Meines Wissens erhält Swift Performance aber noch bis mindestens Ende 2023 Updates. Zum Zeitpunkt dieses Artikels also mindestens noch ein Jahr. Read the full article
