10/23/24 WIP Wednesday (Closed) | TBD AU

Andrew wakes up staring at the white ceiling of a hospital room. He knows this because it is not the first time that this has happened to him, he’s been here a few times at this point but in this moment he remembers the last truly memorable time that this had happened. He’d woken up with five years down the drain, turned his head and saw a gorgeous man who looked like he hadn’t slept in days.

If he hadn’t been such a fucking movie trope he would have stayed silent and he knows that man would have said something to make him realize that something was amiss. Instead he noticed how this man’s face shape was nearly identical to the suspicious freshman they had just gotten on the team. “Josten?”

He’d been too out of it still to really question the way Neil Josten’s entire face shattered at the sound of his last name. To question why he didn’t say a word or ever show up in front of Andrew again after he hit the call button that had the doctors coming in. Never showed up in front of Andrew again except in their dorm room.

Because it was their dorm room, even if Andrew hadn’t thought so at the time.

Neil Josten looked him in the eye for a second time and told him he was amazing after thanking him.

He turns his head to the side this time and sees Aaron and Katelyn asleep in the shitty plastic chairs. He’s surprised that Aaron would let Katelyn sleep in one considering how uncomfortable it must be, he dismisses that after a moment because Katelyn was probably the one who had insisted on being right here.

He turns his head to the other side.

Nothing.

But not the nothing he had wanted to see.

Nico's near-death experience endows him with powers and now he has to be a Savior which means he has to fight phantoms to keep people safe which would be a doable job, BUT that's not the only task of a Savior. He also has to uphold the integrity of the Savior System (ugh),Do good deeds and report them to his supervisor (double ugh), train his Lumen (dead eyed little thing doesn't like to listen to him so...ugh again!) and last but definitely not least he has to dedicate his life to figuring out how to use his endowment to cure a great societal problem... to perform... a MIRACLE TM. (yikes on bikes, no pressure). Will he be able to live up to the expectations of greatness that has been thrust upon him? or will he fail?

Each Level comes with its own set of rules. The level right before heaven, which requires Demons to go to earth to collect evil humors that taint people's souls, has the MOST rules. With him being unable to see his family, not knowing what he's doing, and finding out that his childhood friend has grown into a handsome...Preist in training?!? He finds a very decently stocked Sundae Bar with 2 soft serve options and 5 scoopable options that a very tired looking will scoop for customers. The only rule is that it all has to fit in one bowl and Andrew has no shame in talking strategy with Smith’s kid in constructing a towering mass of oreos, sprinkles, gummy bears, whipped cream, and a singular red cherry on top. Smith takes Dion’s since he was nervous that he’d spill it and Andrew walked behind the two as Smith held the sundae in one hand and Dion’s hand in the other.

“Remember, you need to brush your teeth when you get back.” Smith reminds.

“I know Tata.” Dion’s smile is huge.

Hello, I'm Chase (name maybe TBD haha). I'm a 28 year old white trans man from the USA. I figure I'd make this one part intro, one part writing list, so I wanted to include that. :) When I'm not writing or reading, I'm usually watching TV or playing video games. I have a computer science degree, but tbh my ultimate dream would be to be a screenwriter for TV.

I like to write both original works and fanfiction. My primary genres are supernatural (or more specifically, werewolves), romance, and hurt/comfort (including the more hurty side of the spectrum, as long as there’s enough comfort to balance it out).
