part of me thinks nico would be heavily tattooed or at least have his neck, arms and torso partially covered in tattoos and it would look so fire and part of me thinks he would actually not like it at all and would maybe have 1 or 2 small symbolic tattoos that wouldn’t really be for aesthetic im at a war atp

I looove the idea of Nico incorporating his language in little things in his life😢

Like for example he solely uses Italian onomatopoeias. A dogs woof woof? It’s Bau Bau for him! Cats meow? It’s a Miao! Pio pio for chicks!

He also constantly literally translates Italian proverbs, leaving everyone but Chiara confused because they simply do not make sense in English. He’s always blabbering about a gifted horse or something about soup and wet bread.

When he uses pet names with Will it’s usually meant to tease, but when he uses them seriously, they are solely Italian ones. You won’t ever catch him saying “baby” or “honey” or “sweetheart”. He calls Will “amore” or “tesoro” or “caro” (he’s an oldie inside). He also stays away from things like “cucciolo” or “pulcino” o “topolino” because he’s simply extremely cringed by them.

He stumbles his toes somewhere? “AHIA” comes out of his mouth. (If not directly a profanity)

He doesn’t know something? “Boh”

I know there is absolutely no demand for ToA content of Apollo/Lester and Meg but like come on, Lester went through all that character development to just not show up or help or talk to his son and demigod friends?? Idk I haven't finished TSATS correct me if I'm wrong.

All this information is so out of the blue and I can't process it.

“Nico is catholic”. No he’s not. He never really was. It would be a stretch to even call him ex-catholic. He was a child forced to practice Catholicism along with his sister and mother who were also forced into it because of the tyrannical fascist government and their peers who would have possibly hurt them or killed them if they didn’t comply with Catholicism.

The di Angelos were actively heavily involved with ancient Greek (and possibly Roman but that’s unconfirmed) pagan gods for so many years. Nico himself has shown no fondness for Catholicism and has never practiced it in cannon. In fact quite the opposite it’s very implied he and his family have some sort of trauma from being forced to practice a religion they do not believe in or risk bodily harm or extreme isolation and shunning and judgement from peers. Nico has also obviously been shown to be heavily involved in at least two pagan religions (Greek and Roman). Neither of which have anything to do with Catholicism.

Maria was so involved with Hades she had not one but two kids with him and Hades was even trying to get Maria and her kids to live with him in the underworld. Hades was so in love with her that he cursed the oracle for even suggesting he couldn’t bring her back from the dead which he already knew and didn’t care.

I’m sorry but I just can’t see any of the di Angelos —especially Nico— being actually catholic. (beyond being forced to practice it while they lived in Italy).

Just as a reminder, because I guess some people still need to hear this...

If you did not like The Sun and The Star, you do not have to read The Court of The Dead. No one is forcing you to read it. There's no need to hate read it and then come on the internet and be negative. I think there are totally valid criticisms, but if you flat out hated it, you do not HAVE to read it. That's the magic of free will!

Same goes for the senior year adventures!

Will Solace is so protective of Nico he discovered not one, not two, but THREE of his hidden powers only to protect him.

Like. This is just very insane to me. His protectiveness over Nico is so strong and so intrinsic that it unlocked inner parts of him that he had no idea existed, and in some cases parts of him he probably unconsciously kept away.

And it’s crazy that people undermine this protectiveness, because it’s genuinely such a consistent main trait in Will.
