I love your Lunar Institute stuff! Made me wonder, would the Institute have an area for new or travelling weres to go on full moons? Like a stretch of forest that they’ve bought that’s safe? Maybe bought in concert with the local packs?

Full Moons Away From Home

With the compliments of the Lunar Foundation~

Everyone experiences the full moon in their own way. For some, it's the perfect opportunity for nightly travel, but many of us prefer to transform in familiar surroundings.

Safety should always come first, your own included. If you have volatile transformations, or are prone to injuring yourself or others, we strongly advise that you stay inside during your transformation. There are several options to do this:

• Most of our community centers have a full moon safe space, some of which have room for couples or families. We sadly do not have many available, however.

• There are quite a number of hotels which cater to the supernatural community, or werewolves in particular. Advertising can be misleading, however, and unless you personally have good experiences with a place we recommend you look for a hotel that we have given our paw print of approval.

• Certain members of the community have volunteered to be official Moon Houses. These individuals are not all werewolves themselves, but have all been vetted by the Lunar Foundation. They can provide a place to stay for a maximum of 4 days (3 nights) to werewolves who are on the road, or otherwise (temporarily) without a safe space to transform. These addresses are not made public for reasons of privacy and safety, but we will connect any werewolf who puts in a request with the nearest available Moon House, no questions asked.

If control over your mind and body is not an issue, it is of course possible to spend your full moon outside:

• According to the Occult Integration Act all cities that surpass a certain size and population density are required to designate a proportional number of parks as safe spaces to transform. Some cities reserve parks specifically for werewolves, but most of them try to accommodate other shapeshifters as well. You can find a list of these parks on our website.

• You have the right to move freely through public spaces, whether in your human or your werewolf form. But in practice we know that even in rural areas it is not always easy to find outside space that is truly safe for the wolfish. We have an interactive map on our website, where users of our online community can mark areas where they have had good experiences transforming. Many of these include stretches of forest that are werewolf-owned and have been opened to the community.

Please do not hesitate to make use of any of our community resources, that is what they are intended for!

nothing beats the high of random students in the hallway greeting you like "what's up spelling bee kid!" i peaked there tbh :P

33. the last adventure you've been on?

this summer my girlfriend and i took a road trip up to washington to visit her sister! we spent two weeks there, and saw some lovely sights along the way. my favorite had to be the old growth redwood forest we visited on the way up, which had this one tree that looked like it had... well... i shan't say 🍆🤭

38. a soap bar that smells good?

can't think of a soap bar off the top of my head but i love the smell of almond extract! it's like the archetypal bakery scent to me. whenever i use it up i put the empty bottle in my purse so i can take it out and have a smell whenever i feel like hehe 💓

Vartouhi stared at the periwinkle light shining in an oval shape in front of her, silver mist swirling, catching the light and glimmering. Her expression was blank, her body tense. She had never thought this day would come.

She had finally, finally found a way to return home.

Only... now, she wasn't sure that she wanted to. Vartouhi blinked out of her stupor, twisting slightly at the waist so she could look over her shoulder at Yusuke, who stood behind her. The expression on his face was unreadable, which was unlike him. She had a feeling he was trying to put up a strong front so he didn't influence her decision to stay or leave.

The princess turned more fully, walking to him. She brought her hand up to press to his cheek, leaning in to press her lips sweetly to his. Tears burned behind her eyes, but she closed them shut tightly to stave them off. When she opened her eyes again, she whispered, "I'll be back. I promise." With that, she took steps backwards until her body was fully engulfed in the light, and then vanished completely.
