#iiiiii dont know what kind of emotion i was trying to convey with this. i wanted to do a character exploration with my pmd hero and partner #which got away from me a little. i hc the hero has complicated emotions around their past which they dont remember #and i get the sense it leans into growing up without a childhood bc you dedicate your entire life trying to save the world #so now that they finally have a second chance to grow up properly they wanna take their time yk?? and yeah ik evolution =/= maturity #i remember seeing a post about an elderly treecko from pokeani speculating you could grow really old without ever evolving #but in human terms of maturity. even though you cant remember anything about being human it conflicts with what you know #and its probably just a gimmick when partner just tells me what we're supposed to do next every time i talk to them bc it #progresses the story but i also like thinking they want to grow up so badly and do everything all at once #compared to hero who knows what its like to grow up before youre an adult and wants to slow down #im repeating myself a lot here but i swear its smth ive feltmany times over and never found a good answer to. or what i would tell someone #i didnt base neptunes flowers on anything specifically but i looked into flower symbolism and it seems buttercups represent childhood #marmalade's flower crown is meant to be periwinkles which symbolize sincere friendship and unbreakable bonds #i love themb ;__;#my art #myart #comics #doodles #pmd #pokemon mystery dungeon #pmd ocs #pmd2 #neptune #marmalade #team satellite #pokemon #eye contact #scopo #sort of?

(In case it wasn't clear, Nale is 100% just messing with him. Honestly they both kinda are.)

im obsessed with how, in the beginning of episode 1, it's charles who says "do you ever think about death catching us and splitting us up", and it's edwin who says "I will never let that happen".

because of course edwin is the one who objectively has the most to lose if they get caught, and they're both very aware of this. when the night nurse ambushes them, charles steps between her and edwin immediately, and the second time he explicitly says do what you want with me, but leave edwin. it would be natural for him to be the protective one-- and a lot of the time he is!

but the very first time we're presented with the idea of running from death, it's charles who expresses anxiety and edwin who reassures him. because what scares charles most is the thought of being separated from edwin-- and, as always, edwin doesn't want charles to be afraid.

#dead boy detectives #just a little thought #dbda #i particularly think a lot about like. when do you think edwin realized that charles was genuinely Afraid of being caught #not because charles is afraid of sent to hell (though he might be) and not purely because edwin would be sent there (though that featured)#but because no matter how it shook out-- if they got caught they would get split up #and that-- in itself-- is charles' nightmare scenario #imagine what realizing that must have been like for edwin #and then in turn i think about just how much charles *trusts* edwin #like his presence is the cornerstone of charles being happy #edwin's sincere esteem is what convinces charles that he isn't becoming a terrible person #and so: edwin is the one to reassure him that theyre never going to get split up #edwin will make sure. and so charles doesn't have to be afraid of it #just. yeah

seeing ppl on twitter’s takes about snowgrave kriselle makes me want to kill myself oh my godddd “its toxic” “regular kriselle better bc its healthier” DO YOU THINK I WANT TO SEE THEM MUSHY KISS AND BE LOVEY DOVEY AND HUG EACH OTHER??? NO!!! the APPEAL is that adding romantic connotations to their snowgrave relationship (which mind you very much already exists in canon) allow their relationship to become so much more interesting. do i think they’ll become truly endgame canon? do i think they’re in love with each other??? ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! AND I DONT WANT THEM TO!!! the POINT is that it’s supposed to be dark and interesting and exploratory of their characters in relation to the deconstruction of autonomy in video games through gender roles and principles of knighthood and the idea of the “damsel in distress”. not to mention that “shipping” regular kriselle and snowgrave kriselle isnt mutually exclusive either. in fact i think understanding both allows you to analyse their relationship much more fully and deeply than without considering the other side. and besides, isnt the fucking point of shipping to explore character relationships??? why would you want to Ignore nuance and depth rather than focus on it???? are you unable to handle anything deeper or darker than like fucking cocomelon??? if you hate character analysis and dark themes in relationships you can head on back there or smth idfk oh my lord i cant fucking TAKE IT ANYMORE
