I just spent FIVE HOURS rewriting out everything twice because tumblr had to delete then unsave it. And i am destraught. Wanna punch myself. This is me trying again for the third time oh my GOD!!

I absolutely LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEEE hopelessly devoted to you. One of my favorite fics ever. The first thing that attracted me was the name. Hopelessly devoted to you? As a CROSSMARE fanfic???? Its sooo? Perfect. Cross, a trustworthy and loyal guard dog kind of soldier to Nightmare, the king and all powerful (? ;:] ) god of Negitivity. HOPELESSLY devoted to HIM. Its perfect. My favorite thing about it as a whole is how you depict it as an ACTUAL king in an ACTUAL working castle with REAL soldiers, maids, cooks, ect and there are monsters that come in and go through trials TO BECOME any of those. It is PURE!!!!! GENIUS!!! AND! To top it off they have annual parties???? Every snowfall???? You just make it seem so REAAALLLLLLL!!!!!!!!! Now for how the characters behave. Were gonna start with Cross because my god. He would definitely and I am saying DEFINITELY would be loyal to Nightmare so far as to being the cheif of all soldiers. He would be THE soldier. Calling Nightmare "the king," "his highness," "his grace,"(my fav) and "his lordship." And he would completely degrade himself for little fails here and there. He would absolutely use himself as a dummy for trainees. He would 100% train too much if he felt like he was falling behind because he slipped and fell or got injured by cutting the something wrong and hitting his finger. You to me are the author closest to writing cross as canon as he would be if he was loyal to Night. Now for dust. He would be a high grade solier!!! Yes hes crazy and literally insane but youre telling me he wouldn't be calmed or even comforted by Nightmare's presence? He would want to protect his king, his savior, because he quite literally did save him and give him purpose. He got to the top on his own with his light-footed, quick-thinking, and leader-like behavior, but not without the help of night or his freinds. He would be so observing and QUIET!!! NOT TALKING AND SNARKY LITTLE REMARKS HE WOULDNT WANNA TALK JUST FOR THE HELL OF IT (Im gonna say this a lot but again you are a genius) But he would sneak in a small response here n there in front of those he felt safest with. Horror as a big ol misunderstood giant but not a COOK?? As a soldier!!! Few manners but somehow it makes him admirable. He eats with his mouth open and hes got that big hole in his head and YESS he looks creepy but you know what? Hes a nice guy. Hes protective, he calms people with his words, and like a cane corso or rottweiler he can switch on or off that defensive maybe aggressive to some nature. Maybe not canon but still good. Killer the little STINKY!! He would NOTTTT be a high grade solier. (At least not in this, ive seen him written diff ways) Hes like a firecracker!!!! Hes reactive like a lil chihuahua with knives in every pocket and every crevice he could fit one in. A great soldier and wonderful assassin but hes simply too impulsive. Now nightmare. Youve won author of the year with how you write him. He's so much like a KING!! I can literally SEE his strong, noble and enamoring presence right next to me. He is terrifying to all, mortifying to newcomers, and absolutely unquestionable. Cross, as the cheif of all soldiers, is the one to report back to him on the state and quality of the castle, and cue by nightmare he may talk with him as a freind and sometimes slip a little and let out a way too invasive, shouldve left it up to imagination type of question or comment and THAT is where cross gets a hit by reality that that is a king and god that could kill him and not look back. THAT is where Nightmare becomes unquestionable. Cross is his favorite little puppy because of his loyalty and devotion BUT that being said he is merly a soldier. Nightmare shouldn't feel attraction to him and. And he doesnt. He doesnt need an heir and although Cross is loyal and protecting and would be a perfect father, he is Nightmares soldier. ....well see where it goes. Sigghhh I love that fic so much.
