you got any. starter tips for wolf game cause im kinda interested but it all seems REALLY overwhelming - idk what im doing sksjfh
Hi, anon! I will try to give you some tips, but they might come off as general statements. I really encourage you to DM me on here/on WD if you’d like help with something specific or on Discord: hydde#7777 Starting out: - Be picky with wolves, don’t get more than you can feed & play with. I don’t recommend befriending a lot of wolved while exploring, since they will all be plain with Tier 1 bases (the most common ones). - Try to save up a little bit of money by selling items to the raccoon in Raccoon Wares & by fishing (it’s a mini-game). Buy better wolves/pups from the Trading Center, look for ones with 300-400+ stats (if lvl 1) and higher if they’re already leveled.
- Make one hunting team for now & fill it up. At first, your lair should consist out of 5 hunters, 1-2 scouts, 1 herbalist, ~2 pupsitters, and your lead. Try to really-really minimize getting new mouths to feed at the start.
- You will know when you’ll be able to expand since you’ll be having lots of extra food and toys in your hoard. - Investing time and effort into your wolves is rewarded. Don’t buy temporary hunters or scouts to replace them when you get the money for a new cool wolf. The longer they have the role, the more proficiency they have, the more experience they gain. - Don’t overbreed. I don’t recommend breeding for a little bit after you’re done with the starting quest to breed two wolves (and you can pause that one if you don’t want any of your wolves bred just yet). - Please be aware that you will not be able to sell most of your puppies. We don’t have a puppy sink yet, so all of the puppies are really cheap. If yours have 200 stats and have a Tier 1 base with no markings, you will HAVE to chase them or sell for fodder. Explore: - I think Explore is pretty intuitive, one thing that people have troubles with is battling. You need to fight enemies in 5 lvl range from you (5 up and 5 down). Use LUCK! (Lucky feet) when fighting enemies of higher level. Best strategy is almost always Snarl > Bite (repeat Bite until enemy bleeds) > Rest/Wait (only when enemy is bleeding). If you are Bleeding > Rest, leave if it didn't work (unless the battle is almost over). ALWAYS leave if bleeding on the first turn and resting didn’t help. Breeding: - Almost any wolf with Tier 1 Base color is considered fodder by the general playerbase. Don’t bother breeding those, try to buy T2s instead. Tier 3 and Tier * (Special) are considered to be the hot new thing right now and cost a lot.
- Lethal mutations sell for a lot, ~200GC each.
- If I was starting to play right now, I wouldn’t bother setting a stud. I think the best thing a newbie can do right now is grind during the monthly Lunar event for a Special base applicator and use it on the stud.
- Lineages matter (to most people). Right now Tier 3 bases are becoming more or less acessible so people are now looking for Generation 1-4 special wolves, and not just any wolves with a T3 base. Inbred wolves don’t sell well. Wolves with very popular studs in the lineage don’t sell well. There’s a lot of them, some are: Faelor, Sango, Sunfall, Micheal Skarn/Scott, Echo, Slice of Moldy Bread, The MOOF, Ursa, Hanta and so on. - Consider having a clean & short lineage as well as best possible stats if you’re setting a stud. I think that’s all I can think of from the top of my head, so again, feel free to DM with questions~

More to remind myself than anything else, this is how I plan to play Wolvden once I start on October 9th!
Priority 1: Full Hunting Team, Herbalist, Scout, in that order
This means earning and buying territory slots until I have exactly seven and befriending wolves to fill those slots. Which might take a bit because I’m pickier now than I was when I first played during beta. For later gameplay reasons, I want all of these wolves to be female unless it’s a stunning male.
This order in particular since that’s the order that’s most important for gameplay. Hunters provide food, the Herbalist will heal wolves (I just won’t be able to assign one or get sick for a few days), and the Scout just isn’t completely necessary. New biomes are nice, but I can wait.
Priority 2: Pup Stages
They’re just too cute not to have them!
And since I don’t generally put real money into websites, this means my priorities will be $$$ until I achieve this. Healing Salves? Sold. For GC if possible. Raccoon Wares? I take all that Raccoon’s money by selling it Food and Amusement items I don’t immediately need. SC? Every bit I can spare goes right towards GC.
Optional: Customize my Breeding Male
If it turns out earning GC is enjoyable enough, I’ll get a few more to add some markings and change the base of my Breeding Male. Probably won’t go all-out and I’m definitely not gambling with Random Marking Applicators - I’ll just be looking into getting some better genetic variety.
Actually getting to the game now
With that out of the way, I’ll start putting my SC back into getting more den slots, befriending a Pupsitter, and actually doing the breeding tutorial.
Much like on Lioden, I want my leader to be a descendant of my original leader. And, basing my gameplay on real wolves, my leader will be mated to my breeding male (my leader will be female to start with) and their children will become the their own team of Hunters, a Scout, and I’ll replace the Herbalist with one, too. This will probably take multiple breedings (I think the tutorial breeding always does 2-3 pups), but that’s okay.
I’ll probably breed until I have a pretty 3-mark pup from the initial pair unless I customize my breeding male. That pup will be the next leader, regardless of gender.
Those won’t be the only pups in the pack, though: I’ll be working towards breeding the next generation mate to the leader. The other hunters will be breeding with outside males towards a goal wolf - probably a pretty Tier II-based wolf to start with. I’ll need one of each gender since the leader can be either gender.
I’ll only breed a wolf once the previous pups are at least 4 1/2 months old. This makes it so I won’t get overwhelmed with pups (I learned my lesson in beta), and so that the Pupsitter won’t have a huge gap where their skill will decay.
The Next Generation
Like on Lioden, I’ll be waiting until my lead wolf and breeding male can retire for free to assign the next generation. Unlike Lioden, I’ll choose the leader and the breeding male rather than have there be a fight. Mainly because the canon pack are all siblings and the heir would be prepared to lead, and the breeding male/mother wolf will canonically be found by the leader rather than already be in the pack.
It’s possible for the siblings to have power struggles if I feel like it, but I’m not planning on it at this point.
Much like on Lioden, once a Hunter/Scout/Pupsitter (Herbalist there can only be one of, and that’s going to be part of the canon pack) has become part of the leading family, I’ll replace them with a new NBW.
I’m not sure whether I’ll put effort into naming and giving personalities to the non-leading-family wolves. I’ll mostly be breeding them to similar studs, if not the same one, to get towards a specific goal, so they’ll become kind-of samey pretty quick. I might do something with them, I might not. I do like the drama I have in my Lioden pride, but these wolves aren’t canonically living together so I don’t know what I would be able to do. The only reason I’m keeping these lineages is to work towards goals myself and to get better and better stats as I go along.

Welcome to Abyss (FE: Three Houses Full Fic)
Prologue (House Isekai - Cindered Shadows)
What started as a small investigation leads Byleth and House Isekai to discovering the Ashen Wolves, beginning an adventure that they will never forget...
----
All 3H Au’s Listed Here!
----
[Evening Moments - Trails of Cold Steel]
It was a late Friday evening when Byleth and the other instructors left the Listening Chamber.
Manuela, Hanneman, and Seteth went to bed early that day while House Isekai's staff were heading towards the mess hall.
(Sara) “Ugh, finally it’s over! I thought he’d never shut up.”
(Megumi) “Come on, what he was talking about was important!”
(Sara) “Yeah, for them! We teach our classes in a completely different way! We don’t even follow the same curriculum.”
(Byleth) “It’d go faster if you didn’t constantly drink at the meetings.”
(Towa) “With all due respect, professor Byleth, it’s far better than the alternative...”
(Angelica) “Yeah, no drinks means Sara becomes whiny.”
(Cocytus) “SHOULD A TEACHER BE DRINKING THIS CONSTANTLY?”
(Sharon) “Normally, absolutely not! It’s just that Sara is special!”
(Sara) “What’s that supposed to mean?!”
Doomguy shook his head and walked a little behind to walk with Megumi and Byleth. They all grabbed a late dinner and had a lively conversation.
...
Megumin and her cat Chomsuke quietly sat at the lake, watching the fish swim by.
She didn’t have anything in particular to do that night, and she couldn’t sleep yet since it was still so early. She WOULD have liked to use an explosion spell sometime this week, but her professors forbid her from doing so, on the grounds it’d do property damage.
Pouting, she laid on the ground and looked up into the skies.
(Edelgard) “Are you bored, Megumin?”
(Megumin) “Edie!”
Her mood was instantly brought up and she turned around to face Edelgard. The two began talking about various things while watching the stars glisten across the waters.
...
Ainz and Narberal returned from a mission with the Knights of Seiros and kept a leisurely pace behind the teams passing through the market square.
(Momon) “That mission was a bit longer than I expected it to be.”
(Nabe) “I imagine it would have gone quite longer if you weren’t there Loooor-...Momon.”
(Momon) “Hm, most likely.”
(Jeralt) “I could use a cold drink after we report in.”
(Shamir) “I’d be down for that.”
(Alois) “As would I!”
(Catherine) “How ‘bout you two?”
(Momon) “Not tonight. We are quite tired from the trip.”
That was a lie. He didn’t ever get exhausted with his undead body, and he was pretty sure Narberal wasn’t either.
They needed to have a meeting with their folks to discuss what the Knights actions have been and find out where to go from there.
(Momon) “We’ll catch you tomorrow. Come along, Nabe.”
(Nabe) “Yes, Momon.”
They walked off towards the dorms.
...
Akechi was walking to his dorm room when he saw Ainz and Narberal passing by.
(Akechi) “Ah, good evening! You all just got back?”
(Momon) “Yeah, a few moments ago in fact. How’s everything at the Monastery?”
(Akechi) “Quiet as ever. It is quite dull!”
(Nabe) “...No one is around, you know.”
He took a quick glance and sighed in relief.
(Akechi) “Thank god. Anyways, nothing’s changed as usual, same shit.”
Ainz sighed as well, dropping his persona too.
(Ainz) “Everyone is free tomorrow for the meeting, correct?”
(Akechi) “Yeah.”
(Ainz) “Good. Now we should-”
Narberal’s eyes quickly squinted and got in front of Ainz.
(Narberal) “Lord Ainz!”
[Restlessness - Persona 5]
Akechi and Ainz turned to where she was facing and saw it too.
A man they hadn’t seen before in the Monastery was walking quickly out of sight.
(Akechi) “Shit, he didn’t hear us did he?”
(Ainz) “Unlikely. But to be safe, we should go back to using our personas once more.”
Everyone nodded and began to tail the figure.
...
After a pleasant conversation with Edelgard, they parted ways for the night. When she was turning the corner, she ran into a large man, knocking her back.
It was an extremely loud collision, as the man was wearing heavy armor and appeared to be carrying seemingly expensive wares.
(Megumin) “O-Ow!”
(Man) “Hey, watch where you’re going!”
Before she could even respond, he quickly began to walk away.
(Megumin) “Jerk!”
Getting up, and turning back to keep walking, Ainz, Narberal, and Akechi came around the corner.
(Megumin) “Oh, hey guys!”
(Momon) “Megumin, did you see a man pass by just now?”
(Megumin) “Huh? Uh, yeah I did actually. He went this way.”
(Akechi) “Could you show us?”
...
Sharon came out from the mess hall to investigate the noise and saw a small group walking out of view.
(Sharon) “Oh?”
She hopped over the wall and landed elegantly. Even though the railing from the Mess Hall to the lake wasn’t that big of a drop, it would’ve been impressive to see a maid do that regardless. But luckily for her, no one was around to make such a comment and followed the group.
...
They all watched the man go into a hole in the wall. It was completely out of the way in the Monastery, but the fact no one knew that it was here after several months seemed suspicious.
(Akechi) “What is that?”
(Nabe) “A secret entrance of some kind...”
(Megumin) “Are we going to follow?”
(Momon) “With just us? That’s too dangerous. We should at least get a few more people.”
(Sharon) “A sound call, Lord Momon!”
All four of them spun around and pulled out their weapons to see Sharon standing behind them with her trademark smile.
(Akechi) “Tch, damn it! Stop doing that!”
They all sheathed their weapons as Sharon giggled.
(Momon) “When were you here?”
(Sharon) “Just now. I heard a loud crash from outside the mess hall and came to investigate. That’s when I saw all of you.”
(Akechi) “Come to think of it, what WAS that noise?”
(Megumin) “Oh, that jerk had a lot of stuff on him! I’m not sure what it was exactly, but it looked expensive. And shiny!”
(Sharon) “A thief, perhaps?”
(Momon) “The question remains, what was it he stole?...Nabe!”
(Nabe) “Yes, Momon?”
(Momon) “Go get Byleth and bring him here. I’m going to order the Floor Guardians and Pleiades to be on maximum alert, and to notify anyone else of our house.”
(Akechi) “I’ll stand guard here in case he comes out.”
Megumin dramatically posed.
(Megumin) “The Crimson Demon shall stand with Akechi!”
(Everyone) “...”
(Sharon) “Since time is of the essence, I will be alerting the others as well!”
Sharon bowed then quickly walked off. Narberal did the same.
Momon put two fingers to his helmet’s side.
(Momon) “Message.”
(Demiurge’s Voice) Lord Ainz? Is something the matter?
(Momon) “We’ve got a situation...”
...
Byleth returned with Narberal, with Sharon arriving at the same time.
(Momon) “All right, word should be getting around now.”
(Byleth) “Nabe told me what was going on. What’s the status now?”
(Megumin) “Nothing’s happened as of yet!”
(Akechi) “This ought to be a good enough scouting party.”
Ainz nodded and turned to Byleth.
(Momon) “There’s no telling what will happen down there, professor. What’s your orders?”
(Byleth) “Hm. There’s too many unknowns so at the first sign of trouble, we’re getting out of there.”
Everyone nodded and looked at the entrance.
(Byleth) “I’ll head in first.”
(Sharon) “I’ll cover our flank.”
With positions confirmed, they went inside the hole in the wall.
----
[Woven By Fate - Fire Emblem: Three Houses]
(Rogue) “Hey, boss!”
Four figures turned to a suspicious looking individual, carrying several items that looked rather expensive.
(Yuri) “Back already, huh? I see you got the items we needed from the Cardinals.”
(Rogue) “Yeah, but the thing is, I think I was spotted by some weirdos! They chased after me and everything!”
(Yuri) “Some weirdos you say, so very helpful. They weren’t knights were they?”
(Rogue) “M-Maybe? There were three of ‘em. Some tall kid, a woman, and a man decked out in full black armor. I’m pretty sure they’re armed to the teeth if someone like that armored guy is around!”
(Yuri) “Just three? I doubt they’d take on the entirety of Abyss with those meager numbers.”
(Balthus) “They probably took you as some kinda villain. I bet they’ll lock you up if they catch ya. Finally, a little action! Let’s go find ‘em first and throw some punches!”
(Constance) “Hold Balthus, ‘tis ignorance itself to rush headfirst in trouble!”
(Hapi) “You’re excited to fight too. You’ve been waiting for a chance to try out your shiny new magic.”
(Yuri) “Heh heh, surface laws don’t apply down here. That gives us a bit of freedom to have some fun with them. They’re probably not knights, but they definitely work for the church.”
They all began to walk away and prepare for battle.
(Constance) “You had best not be leaving me behind!
...
Byleth emerged from the passage first, with Narberal, Momon, Akechi, Megumin, and Sharon falling behind.
(Megumin) “This place is really well lit!”
(Momon) “Yeah, I thought Night Vision spells would have to be used to see but...”
(Sharon) “It seems that there is a group of people living here.”
(Akechi) “Which means we’re right in enemy territory.”
(Narberal) “Tch, humans living underground. They’re like cockroaches...”
(Byleth) “Right...Anyways, we should probably go get reinforcements. I don’t like the looks of this.”
(Momon) “Agreed.”
Right as they were all about to head up, Akechi’s clothes changed from his school uniform to his Phantom Thief outfit.
(Megumin) “Woah, that was awesome!”
(Sharon) “Miss Megumin, that’s not a good thing.”
(Akechi) “She’s right, my clothes only do that when someone sees me as a threat, which means-!”
Everyone pulled out their weapons and turned around, seeing Balthus with his arms crossed.
(Balthus) “Hello, strangers! Welcome to Abyss!”
(Narberal) “Identify yourself!”
Byleth noticed that he was wearing an officer’s academy uniform, though it was a different color and completely shredded almost beyond recognition.
(Balthus) “Well, pleased to meet you too, missy! Name’s Balthus! Now, what brings upstanding citizens such as yourselves to our humble abode?”
Sharon stepped out in front and lightly bowed. She kept her smile as she talked.
(Sharon) “We apologize for intruding this late at night. We saw a suspicious individual running around with valuables that are assumed to be stolen. May we be allowed to pass?”
(Constance) “Ahaha! Such indulgence simply cannot be permitted! Your words and smile may fool the fool, but not I cannot be so easily deceived! I, Constance Von Nuvelle, shall divine your true intentions!”
(Momon) They have a read minds skill?!
(Constance) “You are here by order of the church...which cruelly plots to eliminate the inhabitants of Abyss!”
(Momon) Oh...No, they’re just idiots jumping to conclusions.
(Megumin) “Lady, we don’t even know who you are! Why would we wanna do that?!”
(Byleth) “We aren’t here to harm you!”
(Balthus) “Frankly, I don’t care what the reason for a brawl is, nor do I believe you guys! I mean, your weapons being pulled out kinda makes us assume!”
(Akechi) “I don’t think their bravado is just for show...I’d dare say they’re on par with us.”
(Megumin) “BOOK IT!”
Everyone turned to dash for the exit before realizing people were already standing there.
Several rogues were at the entrance and backing up Constance and Balthus, including Yuri and Hapi.
(Yuri) “Turning back already? Oh, but you’ll make me so sad! Now why would you wanna do that? Everyone’s been starved of amusement! They’ve been waiting for a good fight!”
(Momon) “Damn, they’re smarter than they look too!”
(Balthus) “Way I see it, you guys have two options right now! Get the beating of a lifetime, or let us lock you up look the good girls and boys you are!”
(Akechi) “I’m afraid we cannot allow that!”
(Megumin) “Psh, think you all can take on the Crimson Demon?!”
(Nabe) “Touch him, and I slit your throats!”
(Yuri) “Well, looks like we’re going to have do this the hard way!”
----
[As Swift As Wind - Fire Emblem: Three Houses]
UNIT SELECTION
Begin the battle?
>[Yes] No
Victory Conditions: Defeat the enemy commanders.
Defeat Conditions: Byleth falls in battle.
----
[Fatal Conflict - Yakuza 0]
(Hapi) “Come on, you’re not gonna seriously send your maid and kid after us too, are you?”
(Constance) “It would be quite shameful to allow non-combatants-”
(Sharon) “Pardon my interruption-”
Everyone turned to Sharon, who still had a smile on her face.
(Sharon) “You should worry more about yourselves than us!”
Before anyone could realize what she was doing, several wires emerged from her sleeve and shot it towards several of the rogues.
Yuri jumped out of the way as they were dragged towards Sharon as she pulled out a massive dagger.
Wasting no time, Akechi brought out his pistol and shot the Rogues armed with magic and bows in the arm while tearing off his mask.
Sharon twirled the wires as she flipped the dagger to a more comfortable position.
(Sharon) “Shall I take the ones in front?”
(Akechi) “By all means, be my guest!”
(Hapi) “Ooooh, that’s not good.”
(Megumin) “MAGIC BUFF, NOW!”
Nodding, Ainz casted a magic buffing spell on Megumin.
(Megumin) “HAHAHAHA-”
(Constance) “MY GOODNESS, CHILD WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!”
Turning to Balthus, Ainz got into a battle stance. and looked at Narberal.

“WITH ME!”
“PAY FOR YOUR TRANSGRESSION, MAGGOT!”
(Balthus) “Hah, this is gonna be GREAT!”
Byleth pulled the Sword of the Creator out.
(Yuri) “Alright then, LET’S DANCE!”
Using her wires, she brought one of the rogues she captured in front of her.
The rogue started to scream as her smile didn’t even flinch.
Putting a dagger against his throat, she heard Byleth’s voice.
(Byleth) “EVERYONE, DISARM! DON’T KILL ANY OF THEM.”
(Sharon) “Ah, my apologies!”
Using the hilt of the dagger she hit him on the head, knocking him unconscious.
A magic mirror was put in front of Sharon as spells reflected off it.
(Akechi) “Mages! Get the warriors, I’ll handle them!”
Nodding, she quickly ran towards the rogues wielding axes as Akechi’s Persona fired several arrows at them.
The arrows dissipated once they hit the mages, acting as magic missiles, they sent the mages flying back.
Turning around, Sharon had already disarmed most of the rogues. Some of them tried running away but she used her wires to wrap around their legs.
(Hapi) “Damn!”
A bright circle formed and surrounded Sharon. She jumped out the way as the ground she was standing on exploded with dark energy.
Before Hapi could fire another spell, an explosion came from behind and the force of it sent her tumbling forward.
When she tried to get back up, Akechi hit her in the back of the head with his pistol, knocking her out.
(Megumin) “HAHAHAHA! POWER! UNLIMITED POWER!”
Her staff kept shooting off explosive spells, sending everyone flying into walls or the air.
(Constance) “A NUVELLE WILL NOT FALL TO THE LIKES OF SOME CHILD!”
Constance countered with her own magic, trying to seal Megumin.
A green sphere formed around Megumin as the spell almost made contact.
Ainz had cast a magic protection spell just in time and barely blocked the attack coming from Balthus.
Megumin turned her attention to Constance and smiled.
(Megumin) “EXPLOOOOOOSION!”
A bright red flame emerged in front of Constance, which she tried using magic to cushion the blow.
When the explosion went off, her hearing went completely deaf as the explosion’s force sent her rolling backwards.
She tried to get back up, but Akechi hit her in the back of the neck with his pistol.
(Akechi) “MEGUMIN, NEED SOME EXPLOSIONS HERE!”
(Megumin) “ASK AND YOU SHALL RECEIVE!”
Megumin cackled as she provided supporting explosions elsewhere, making the entire area shake.
Opening her eyes, Constance felt Balthus grabbing her and standing her back up.
Constance couldn’t tell what he was saying, but whatever it he was saying got cut off with Narberal swinging her sword, Balthus catching it with his gauntlets.
(Balthus) “Damn, you guys fight dirty!”
He barely managed to get that sentence out as Narberal fired a lightning spell from her fingertips, it shooting forward and piercing through the wall, creating a massive hole.
Ainz rushed in, swinging his greatswords as if they sticks, slamming it with full force against Balthus’s gauntlets, each strike making him fall back.
When Constance finally snapped out of her daze, she was ready to fire a spell at Ainz’s back.
Casting a fireball, it almost hit had Narberal not suddenly spun around and tanked it for him.
Bits of her cloth was on fire, but she shook it off as if it were dust.
(Constance) “What an annoyance, their mages!”
(Yuri) “DUCK!”
Constance turned and her eyes went wide as she dived for cover.
Byleth’s whip sword swung across and almost struck her, Yuri dodging the attacks and trying to find a good time to counter.
When Byleth swung his sword upwards, Yuri managed to swipe at his arm, ripping a bit of cloth and causing a cut.
Byleth only gave the wound a glance and went back into his fighting stance.
(Yuri) “You’re pretty good!”
Byleth said nothing as he charged forward, Yuri blocking the attack with his sword.
Yuri stepped to the side while Byleth was pushing his sword forward, making him fall over.
Byleth turned around and had Yuri’s blade at his throat.
(Yuri) “Call off this attack, and I won’t have to gut you!”
His sword was shot out of his hands by Akechi.
Byleth swung his sword at Yuri, but before the blade connected he quickly stepped back.
Frowning, Yuri pulled out a dagger.
(Yuri) “Jeez, you guys DO play dirty!”
Yuri did a quick scan of the battlefield.
The one with the weird sword and mask were right in front of him.
Hapi was unconscious on the floor.
Constance and her men were cornered by the girl with the hat.
Balthus was starting to run out of stamina, the black knight and his servant never relenting with their attacks for even a moment.
The only person that was unaccounted for was that maid-
Turning around, he managed to block the dagger that was almost about to plunge into him, and used his leg to kick Sharon.
She almost fumbled, but somehow managed to catch herself and flip back into position.
Sharon dusted herself off where Yuri kicked her. She kept her smile up as her hand raised upward.
Yuri didn’t have time to swear as he felt the wires enclose around him, making him fall over and drop his dagger to the floor.
It seemed like the more he resisted, the more she tightened her grip.
(Yuri) “Tch, dying by a maid? Can’t say I know this would be how I’d die...If I order everyone to stand down, will at you least have the decency to make this quick?”
(Sharon) “Professor?”
(Byleth) “We’re not going to kill anyone-”
(Yuri) “Professor...As in, Professor Byleth?”
(Byleth) “You...know me?”
(Yuri) “Wow, alright, probably should have asked before we started swinging-EVERYONE! STAND DOWN!”
All of the rogues and Byleth’s group turned to Yuri and stepped away from each other.
(Byleth) “Sharon, release him.”
Sharon nodded and loosened her grip, letting Yuri untangle himself.
Balthus helped Hapi up while Constance and the others went over to Yuri.
Narberal and Ainz still had their weapons out while Megumin kept a close eye on their men.
Akechi started to reload his pistol before Byleth made everyone put their weapons away.
(Yuri) “Damn, wish you at least said your names before you started throwing punches! Sorry about the confusion there.”
[Shut up, lower life form - Overlord]
(Megumin) “Confusion?! you tried to kill us!”
(Constance) “Us try to kill you?! We were not the maniacs casting explosions left and right that could have brought the entire roof down on us!”
(Balthus) “Plus, we don’t have the killer maid who was about ready to slit our throats...”
(Hapi) “Ow...ugh that’s gonna bruise. Anyway, Yuri-bird what’s with the surrender?”
(Yuri) “We’re talking to Byleth, that new professor. Which means...”
Yuri examined the others.
(Yuri) “You all must be that newly formed house, House Isekai. And you two are Momon and Nabe.”
(Megumin) “How did you know....t-that...?”
WHAM!
Megumin hit the floor facefirst, and her voice was slightly muffled.
(Megumin) “...Ow.”
(Balthus) “Oh, crap!”
(Constance) “O-Oh dear! Did I wound her deeply someh-”
When they looked back up, all of them were either facepalming or sighing.
The exception being Sharon, who was still smiling.
(Yuri) “Are you guys not worried-”
(Sharon) “Not in the slightest!”
Sharon helped Megumin up, wiping a bit of the blood off from the impact from her face.
(Momon) “I...might have buffed her too much.”
(Nabe) “She should be grateful you decided to give her any to begin with.”
(Akechi) “Oh, we should make sure there are no injuries on you or the others as well. I...don’t think we held back as much as we should have.”
The mages who were shot by Akechi were glaring at him.
(Momon) “I’ll take care of Megumin. Sharon, you should assist the others.”
Sharon bowed and walked towards everyone, bringing medicine out.
The rogues all started to back up from her as she walked forwards.
(Sharon) “Come now, I don’t bite!”
(Akechi) “That’s reassuring.”
(Momon) “Nabe, you should help provide the medicine to the others-”
(Nabe) “And let these lower life forms continue living, Momon!?”
(Hapi) “...Lower life forms?”
Narberal realized she had shouted that and coughed loudly.
She was blushing at her outburst, but she started sulking when she saw Ainz facepalm.
Byleth sighed as the exchanges were going on.
Yuri walked up to Byleth and rubbed the back of his head.
(Yuri) “Er...sorry about, well that introduction. I think it’d be better if we explained what was going on. How about we start again?”
Yuri stuck his hand out to Byleth.
(Yuri) “Name’s Yuri Leclerc. That’s Constance, Balthus, and Hapi.”
Byleth nodded and reached for Yuri’s hand.
(Byleth) “Byleth. That’s Momon, Nabe, Akechi, Megumin, and Sharon.”
(Yuri) “Pleasure. Hah, well this time it is anyway. Professor and friends...
...Welcome to Abyss.”

Tony is a shapeshifter who imprints on a pack. He imprints on Avengers as his pack & they don't realize. Could be a shapeshifting world - shifters are known & the others are not shifters or aren't pack animals or shifters aren't known. Bucky joins the team and realizes that Tony is suffering from pack rejection/broken bond -painful and deadly, wasting away. Could be after CW- bonds are broken or they never knew & cemented bond. Bucky recognizes and makes it better. No A/B/O dynamics please.
Tony wasn’t so churlish as to let the world burn rather than work with his former pack, but that didn’t mean it didn’t hurt when they called on him without so much as an apology or an acknowledgement that they’d left him to suffer the devastation of a broken packbond..
Not that they knew the full extent of what they’d done, because Tony would never give them that satisfaction. He had Pepper sometimes, and Rhodey, when they had time, and that was.. Well, it wasn’t really enough, because it wasn’t really a pack, even a small one, but it kept Tony going most of the time.
So when the alien fleet was spotted heading toward Earth, Tony told them he’d be there to help them stop it.
“Tones,” Rhodey said as they suited up, “are you sure–”
“I’m sure I don’t hate the world enough to see it destroyed,” Tony said. He ignored the way his flight suit sagged over his gaunt frame and stepped into the armor rig. “We’ll show up, blow these guys back to whatever planet they came from, and be gone before the press can show up to ask questions. Simple.”
Of course it wasn’t really going to be that simple, but Rhodey didn’t call him on it, for which Tony was grateful. Rhodey had seen the reports, the same as Tony had. They didn’t really have much choice.
[’ware the readmore!]
He’d expected it to be difficult to work with them, but it was worse than difficult. It was easy. They fell into the old rhythms as easily as breathing, and for a few hours, Tony felt as if he had a pack again, a network that would hold him up even as he held up the others, stronger as a unit than they were separately. He felt his own strength surge, his mind take off running, his intuition leaping larger and larger bounds. Even adjusting for the new members was only a minor effort.
Barely any effort at all for Barnes, in fact, whose serum had been based on ‘wolf plasma and whose abilities had been honed by science or torture until he nearly registered with Tony’s senses as ‘wolf, himself. It was too bad Rogers had chosen to break the pack over the guy; it might have been nice to have someone else in the pack who carried those instincts.
And then it was over. The aliens were defeated and fleeing. And the euphoria that had carried Tony through the fight ebbed away, leaving his bones cold, like all the marrow had been sucked out of them.
Romanov was looking at him curiously, and shit, he had been sidling toward Rogers, head tipped, just aching for a pack leader’s acknowledgment. A pack leader he didn’t have anymore.
He shook it off, squared his shoulders and forced himself to stand up straight. He thanked whatever gods might be listening that Romanov had a human’s nose, that she couldn’t scent the despair and desolation that must be rolling off him.
“Well, it’s been fun,” Tony said, his showman’s smile dripping off his teeth. “Be sure to call me the next time the Earth is in imminent danger.”
“Tony, are you okay?” Rogers asked, frowning.
Tony stepped back, away from the possibility that Rogers might try to reach out, to touch. He couldn’t take that now. “Stellar,” he bit off. “Just tired. Not all of us can shake off an alien invasion like–”
“Bullshit.”
Tony turned just in time to see Barnes striding toward him in full-on murder mode, his expression dark and his lips curled into a snarl.
Tony stepped back again, but Barnes grabbed at the collar of the suit and held him in place. Which was impressive, given the suit’s hydraulics and general strength.
“Yeah, okay, no,” Tony said. “Hands off the merchandise, Inspector Gadget.” Tony pushed, and Barnes let himself be pushed away.
“You’re not okay,” Barnes said. “Who did this to you?”
Tony snorted. “Three guesses, sunshine. I’m sure your new pack will help you fill in the details.”
“It’s just how Tony is, Buck,” Rogers said. “He overworks himself.”
Barnes gaped at Rogers, then narrowed his eyes at Tony. “You didn’t tell them.”
Tony threw his hands up. “What’s to tell?”
“Did they even know they were your pack?” Barnes demanded.
“Of course they did,” Tony said, and Rogers froze.
“We were your pack?”
“Oh, for fuck’s sake, Rogers,” Tony snapped, “of course you were. I brought you all to live with me and put a big damn logo on the Tower! We practiced together and fought together! We had team movie nights! I know none of you are ‘wolves, but what did you think was happening?”
“You didn’t say it in so many words,” Barnes said softly, “and they didn’t realize.”
Natasha’s mouth set stubbornly. “I asked you,” she said. “I asked you if you were making us your pack. And you said–”
“I said I’d have to be crazy to bond with you lunatics,” Tony said. “It was a joke. I thought you already knew, and we were being… funny. Anyway, it doesn’t matter. You left, you all left, you made your fucking choices. What difference would it have made if you’d known?” He speared Rogers with a look. “Don’t even try to lie.”
Rogers opened his mouth and closed it again.
“Right, I’m out of here.” Tony wasn’t about to let Barnes guilt the Avengers into taking him back.
“No,” Barnes said, and stepped forward hastily. “At least let me come with you.”
“What?” Tony wasn’t sure whether he or Rogers said that.
“Buck?” Steve looked poleaxed.
“Look at the man, Steve,” Barnes demanded. “Look at him. I know you can’t smell worth a hoot, but you should be able to see it. He’s dying. He needs a pack, or at least another ‘wolf around him.”
“I’m not dying,” Tony lied. “I’ve got Rhodey. And Pepper.”
“Pepper lives on the west coast,” Natasha observed quietly. “And Rhodes has his own duties to pursue.”
“He visits when he can,” Tony said stubbornly. “It’s enough. I’m fine.”
“You’re not fine,” Barnes said through gritted teeth. “I can smell it on you. Please. I can’t…” He looked at Tony, bristling with challenge, and then, slowly, he tipped his head to the side. Showing his neck, deliberately making his ‘wolf subordinate to Tony’s. Don’t make me be responsible for your death.
Tony wondered if any of the others even knew, the things ‘wolves could say, even in their human forms, without so much as opening their mouths. Shifters were rare, and most of them kept to their own enclaves. Howard had been a lone ‘wolf, better off without a pack – but Tony had never been as strong as Howard, that way.
And the idea of having another ‘wolf in the place, even if they never spoke to one another, just to scent the presence… Tony wasn’t strong enough to keep rejecting that for much longer. “I don’t need your charity, Barnes.”
“Okay,” Barnes said easily. He turned to Rogers. “Gimme your neck, pal.”
Rogers, the blithering idiot, did it without so much as a blink of hesitation.
“No, don’t–” Tony tried, but by the time he got it out, Barnes had already bitten Rogers, nearly to the point of breaking skin. “Damn it, Barnes, you didn’t have to go that far.”
“What just happened?” Rogers wondered aloud. The great oaf.
“I left your pack,” Barnes said. “Now I’m packless. And it was pretty much proven when I left Hydra that I need a pack to survive, now.” He grinned at Tony like it was all a great joke. Tony half-expected his tongue to loll out the side of his mouth. “So, let me come with you?”
Tony slumped. “Fine,” he sighed. “It’ll be like a sleepover. We’ll braid each other’s hair and talk about boys.”
“Can’t wait!” Barnes said, and the weirdest thing was, he almost sounded like he meant it.

Looking for RP Contacts
With Malboro’s RP scene slow and nearly non-existent for me currently, it’s high time I make one of these. Utai’s lookin’ for RP buddies: old and new, I don’t care. And this time, I’m not locking him to just Malboro interactions - that’s right, the main story is now cross-server - so if you’re on other servers, unless specified, you’re gettin’ the main boy right here :D However, if you’re looking to specifically come visit his shop and interact with him in game, you’ll have to make an alt on Malboro. Since Tumblr makes it easier for us to interact over servers, it’s high time he’s just let loose. Now, I’ve not made one of these before, so bear with me, and I’ll just spout some random information on the guy that might need to be of note.

And since my ass kept typing, now that I actually look the post over...it’s safe to say the rest of the information is going under the cut to save space on people’s Tumblrs.
With that being said, a friendly signal boost would be loved & appreciated.
Also, Xavier is a part of Utai, so the Au Ra clearly comes with the Miqo’te. Xavier’s information (as well as more detailed information on Utai) can be found in the Toon Info master post, but unless he is specifically wanted/needed/etc, Xavier is either unknown to newcomers or a completely separate entity.
How someone might have come across/heard of him?
Ala Mhigan war/resistance
He’s a First Lieutenant from the Maelstrom:
Officer names get passed around, perhaps you heard his named dropped.
He was placed on the front lines despite being of the Maelstrom - he’s afraid of deep water and can’t swim, and due to his abilities, the best place for him was on the front lines.
He was a Prisoner of War:
Perhaps you’re a healer and tended to him once he was rescued.
Perhaps you were part of the rescue team that went in and found him.
Trading/crafting
He is owner and proprietor of Lone Wolves Ltd.:
Perhaps you were looking at certain Doman wares - he can supply them.
Perhaps you’re a trader as well and looking for a supplier or a business partner.
Personal skills
He is a skilled swordsman via being a Paladin and Dark Knight:
Perhaps you seek training.
He is well-versed in aether use:
Perhaps you heard of his skills as a Black Mage
Perhaps you’re in search of a Scholar or in search of old tomes.
Perhaps you wanted to see the blind man use his skills since that’s how he sees things.
Old friends/acquaintances
His past is bound to catch up with him, even if it doesn’t, his story didn’t change, he just moved on.
Perhaps an old friend dropped his name, and you’ve finally wanted to meet him - I promise I don’t bite.
Other
Perhaps there’s something I’ve not thought about, I’m open to plenty of options!
What am I searching for in RP and for his story?
Adventure/hunting/fighting
I love treasure hunting plots, him traveling is a definite.
I suck at them, but training and fighting RPs are something I certainly want to get better with.
I’m open to have him learn a new skill! Some things of his past are slowly coming into light (like his family he thought was dead), so Ala Mhigo and Seeker tribes are becoming a thing for him.
Exploring with friends - yes please!
Friends/family/relationships/romance
Even though he is married, he is a Miqo’te - he has always been polyamorous from the start. This means I am open for ERP as long as it pertains and folds into his actual story.
Women may have an extra hard time because of his wife - she’s very territorial of him. Unless it’s plotted out heavily kids/kits won’t happen, that’s reserved specifically for his proper mate.
Flirt with him though, he loves bein’ a casanova, and I enjoy writin’ it.
Men are free game - I love writin’ me some yaoi >3
Heavily leans towards other Miqo’te and Au Ra for a dominance fight.
He needs more friends to just hang out with and be a dork with.
Long lost family members are somethin’ new I’m opening for him since he ran away from his tribe as a kid (and when he was female) - I’m merely trying to give more plot options.
His mother was a Keeper of the Shroud (deceased). His father is a Seeker from the U Tribe:
His father is currently taken and played by someone else and currently there is no tumblr for him.
Military/Sekiseigumi
This stuff would be cool to work on, be it in Ala Mhigo or within the Maelstrom back in Limsa:
He’s currently on medical leave from the Maelstrom to recover from his wounds - that’s soon being pulled due to the current stuff in patch 4.1.
Due to medical leave and being unable to truly keep still (and since the SAM quest line has one helping the Sekiseigumi), he patrols with them and has his own shifts:
Since he’s an outsider, he doesn’t wear the proper uniform, however, he’s known by what he wears and what kind of sword he carries.
Things not covered
Throw ideas at me! I just wanna RP and meet new folks!

the story of the Ryuutama campaign of Kresna we started a few months agoo
okay so
Ryuutama, that game with that character Sagi I drew? Well, it be finished~
And mannnn, what a fantastic game from start to finish. I’m not going to lie, I’ll be honest- tabletop games aren’t for me, I think. I’m pretty terrible at roleplay, honestly- maybe if I had the right character? But either way, yeah.
Kresna provided a game that someone like me, who doesn’t really enjoy these games, really, really enjoyed. He is a fantastic GM, I mean absolutely stellar- and not just saying that because he’s my boyfriend/best friend, he’s got talent, I mean it.
So, campaign was basically four adventurers (Sider, Lord Simon Darquias, Sully, and Sagi, the “S” team) meeting up in a port town to deliver mail in a land that’s enjoyed peace ever since the great King of Palatora ended the war and spread kindness throughout the land. Two nations are Palatora and Ryder. Sider, a countryboy and chef for a Count from a Honeyhollow, has a letter to deliver to the King of Ryder, and ends up meeting with a Noble, Lord Simon Darquias (the best character), a flamboyant above-it-all general from Ryder who is meant to accompany him to the kingdom, master of dramatic poses and introductions, slamming his sword into the ground as he states his title- until a city guard has to remind him not to brandish his weapon. This happens multiple times.
While they meet, a young scholar named Sully, a hunter who left her home to journey like her great-grandfather and to prove herself to her family as responsible, runs into the two, and she’s offering her map skills to assist- in exchange for travelling with them, she gets to fill out her map. They end up going to the post office, where they’re told it’d be faster to deliver their message to the King of Ryder on their own. But if they’re doing that, to bring the post with them, as adventurers going to other towns is how mail gets delivered in these parts. Plus, they get paid, which of course, draws the interest of the merchant calling himself Sagi (that’s me!), who worms his way into the party (flattering Lord Darquias) and thus our motley crew is born, and spend the night together (with Sider sleeping outside, with Sagi’s Sheep of Golden Fleece).
So they travel through Palatora, complaining about Sagi’s Sheep (who he wants to sell, but is in general a loud and ill-behaved pack animal) and the joys of other party members having to rope it, crossing streams, they run into a couple camping who are delivering map in the opposite direction- telling them that the King of Palatora seems to have fallen ill, and his son is starting to form forces for some reason. After spending the night with this couple, they get to the post office and take on another mail job to the capital of Palatora, which warns the party of demihumans and nekogoblins. Lord Darquias, master of of many talents, including signing his name, tries to sign the contract for the mail but is beaten to it by Sully, of course. All enjoy a fine meal too that evening, sans the cheap Sagi of course, which benefits them later on.
Of course, after sleeping at an inn, the Sheep goes missing- having chewed through the rope, though Sider, having formed a bit of a bond with the Sheep, manages to find it. Lord Darquias, meanwhile, manages to get himself covered in wine, somehow, while already being covered in mud and ink as well. The party travels through rainy hills, all having their own ways to travel down a large slope (though Sully’s attempts at shield surfing were not successful...), and eventually come across an old abandoned house.
Taking shelter from a big storm, the party resides there- Sully goes to collect firewood, but doesn’t return, causing Sider and Lord Darquias to search for her, while Sagi stays at the house should she return. The search yields no results, and so they return to the house- except Sagi has now also disappeared, leaving only the Sheep.
The two search the attic to no avail- except the door locks them in. They manage to escape through the window, and discover a cellar entrance with a broken lock- there, they find Sagi and Sully, tied up in the basement. Nekogoblins did it- and are now trying to rob the Sheep, and thus, the party attacks. Except, the nekogoblins eventually run away in fear... from a zombie right behind the party, leading to another battle.
The party, now in a place cleared of enemies, decides to cook (but fail), camp (also fail), and rest for the night. While everyone else collapsed on the floor to sleep, Sagi chose to sleep in the single bed available.
The next morning they head out towards the capital, after Lord Darquias manages to impressively stab his foot after doing one of his poses, while Sagi tends to be attacked by his sheep again (the sheep does a lot of damage to people during travel). They still end up making it to the capital, where Lord Darquias makes another grand introduction, sans sword this time, starting to learn that throwing his sword everywhere is becoming a bad idea. The guard, exhausted by him, just hands him a map and lets the party in.
The city is intricate- One needs a map to explore it, and Lord Darquias is probably not the best one to handle a map- him trying to find the post office left Sully feeling dead inside, and she made sure to immediately find another map for herself. Sider makes sure to deliver the mail before Lord Darquias even has a chance to open his mouth again, and the party is paid.
While at the post office, the party also learns of a festival going on- a Festival of the Hunt. Lord Darquias is enamored by the poster of the man towering before slain monsters, but after teasing from Sider, sticks his nose up and declines such an event.
Afterwards, the party decides to explore the city a bit and split up- Sagi and Sully explore the fountain area, while Sider and Lord Darquias head off to buy some general wares (where Lord Darquias buys a beautiful azure windbreaker as a cape- the salespeople sold him well)
Meanwhile, Sagi gets involved with a gambler- Betting money on a game of dice, called Down to One. The man gives him a free game to try it out at first, and then they gamble for real- First one to roll a 1 wins, with the dealer going first. And of course, Sagi loses both games, lost some money, and lost some pride having lost said money to a gamble, but fair’s fair, after all, as the gambler disappears into the crowd. Sully consoles him with a portrait she drew of his face so Sagi can have his revenge and try to earn his money back another way- and boy, did she crit that drawing roll, a perfect portrait of the gambler.
Anyway, the two groups meet back up, and then decide to go to the guild for the hunt afterall. Sider and Lord Darquias have been having a rivalry going on for a bit- even arguing who signs them up for the Hunt first (Sider wins). The party’s healed, and the hunt begins.
Sider and Lord Darquias first compete for cheers from the crowd- Sider doesn’t receive any, while Lord Darquias receives some cheers- the people love a good show. The party first encounters some boars- two small and one large, before fighting two wolves, all while Lord Darquias tries to gain morale from the crowd- before finding a chicken roaming the battlefield. Huh. Sully tries but fails to grab it, but Sagi succeeds- using it as bait to tease a wolf (but tossing it to safety while attacking), and the party beats the wolves, but not without major struggle.
There’s one more enemy left to fight the weakened party- a giant bear. By some freaking miracle, the party defeats the bear. Don’t ask me how. Bloodied and exhausted, the party receive tons of cheers from the crowd, fill out a bunch of paperwork for their victory, and get a well-deserved bath and rest.
The next day, after winning the hunt, the party is invited to the Prince’s Ball. After splitting up again and doing a bit of shopping, the party go to the castle and end up in a strange meeting with the Prince- Lord Darquias of Ryder is sure to give a fine introduction of himself, despite all the tensions in the air lately, and the Prince speaks and congratulates the party.
After going to the castle’s private chambers for the night, they are confronted by a royal retainer- Anabelle. She tells us of a devious plot- a plot to kill the good King. And not only that- to frame someone for his murder. Who? Someone from the Kingdom of Ryder, Lord Darquias. Because the darned fool just can’t stop announcing his freaking name everywhere he goes, he’s the perfect scapegoat.
The King is being murdered tonight, and the party has to escape. Anabelle is a part of a small group of retainers against this treason, and so is helping the party escape, giving them clothes of retainers (and Lord Darquias a female outfit, to boot- two male and two female outfits), and so the party ready themselves to escape to the sewers in the dead of night.
Sider and Lord Darquias manage to talk their way past the first set of guards, but another guard lies waiting in front of the sewer exit- and with the Sheep, it’s even harder to explain. So, using Sider’s magic to summon a pile of leaves, the party creates a fire as a distraction. Classic, classic arson, the solution for everything. Anyway, they convince the guard to break down the door- the sewer leads to water for the fire, after all, and as he runs to put it out, the party runs into the sewers, abandoning their retainer garb and travel through a maze of sewers, into the river, with the mountains of Ryder seen in the distance (cue Lord Darquias pose)
As they continue on the run as accused criminals, the party crosses a rickety bridge thanks to the help of Sully and her useful rope. Sagi and his Sheep couldn’t cross the bridge, though, but still make it across a different path. Finding another house to take shelter in- before being attacked by bandits, no doubt in part thanks to Lord Darquias’ idiocy in handling the situation.
After beating the bandits, a few escape, with the defeated ones tied up. The group end up spending the night inside this house- but of course, in the middle of the night, the bandits return- this time, with friends, to take back the people we captured. There were two groups- a large group of bandits, with the leader riding on a FREAKING GRIFFON bursting through the door to block the exit.
Instead of fighting, Sully ends up giving them money- 1,000 gold, as a matter of fact, in agreement that they can take their friends and the money and we can leave. The boss accepts this agreement, and the party is saved from having to fight an army and a freaking griffon. Really clever moves, Sully, no one saw that coming and we were expected to be captured.
Anyway, the party continues, foraging for foods, travelling through a swamp- mushrooms and herbs all around. Everyone debates trying the mysterious herbs and mushroms, and so Sagi ends up trying one of each, taking a few for the road to see if he can pawn them off (he can’t).
After the swamp was a small town, where they discover the herbs are white night chrysanthemums and are good, while the mushrooms are... bad. Huuuh.
After some general buying and selling, the party spends the night here, with Sully insisting to refer Lord Darquias as... Simon. And thus, Simon had to adapt to not declaring his name everywhere he went, and to start learning to get off his high horse.
Oh yeah, and of course, Sagi gets very sick thanks to the mushroom, whoops.
Of course, next morning, sheep’s missing again, but Sully tracks it down. Sider, after many unsuccessful attempts in the past, finally cooks a decent meal, and Sagi is healed from the sickness.
The group continues their travels, going through a desert towards Ryder, when they see a merchant travelling on a carriage, who they decide to ask for a ride to the kingdom. Except, they recognize this merchant- At least, Sagi and Sully do.
So, it turns out, this guy is named Marcus- the gambler from the capital of Palatora. And he doesn’t seem to recognize the party, but boy do they recognize him. And of course, Sagi, with the portrait Sully drew, creates a convincing story of how he’s a wanted criminal, being falsely framed for a hand in the murder of the King, among other crimes (illegal gambling, domestic abuse...), and that they believe he’s innocent- but wish to travel with him to cross the border. Confused and concerned, he eventually allows the party to journey with him- for a price. They decide to gamble for it, Down to One, to see if the party rides for free.
Sagi, of course, loses immediately, before he can even roll- upsetting Sider and Simon, who at this point want to murder this man, but Sully and Sagi restrain them and agree to pay 1,250 gold to travel with him.
Sagi and Sully, who are without passports, hide in the merchant’s secret compartment hidden in the carriage, and travel across the border- Stating their business, Sider claims he’ll be done in three days, and after an inspection of the carriage, they’re allowed passage.
After journeying for a ways, they reach the capital of Ryder- their destination. Marcus invites them into a warehouse, where he’s known as “Chris”. The party is seen as favorable to the group in the warehouse, and is offered a job- to deliver a package to the palace, disguised as messengers of the 56th Battalion of the Eastern Front. 1,500 up front, 1,500 afterwards once the package is delivered. Sagi, of course, accepts this job immediately, to the concern of his party. But this way, they have access to inside the castle to deliver Sider’s note to the king as well.
The morning before the job starts, the party explores the capital- where Sagi convinces Simon to venture to a Fortune Teller- this way, Sagi doesn’t have to spend money, and they can figure out if they’ll even survive whatever mission these shady guys have planned. His fortune describes Simon as an herbalist- a man with a turbulent future, but good for a career change, leaving Simon to think. He’s also suckered in to finding out his lucky color, as well as other bits of dime and nickeling him out of money. Good times.
Sagi ends up buying some local Red Moon Wine- with the intent to peddle it later- but Sider begs him for some. Sagi agrees- for a 10% cut on all his future profits, where Sider, gleefully drunk, accepts.
The group later on meet up with Marcus (or “Chris”), acquire their uniforms, and leave the Sheep in Chris’ hands, though Sagi is sure to give the Sheep a firm rub, just in case they need to track him again later.
With Sagi carrying the package, the four enter the castle and speak with the king- stating their business, with Simon doing his best to avoid being recognized- but also a bit sad at not being recognized by the king as one of his generals at all. The party delivers the parcel, and the letter- of which Sider claims was given to him in passing, hiding his official duty. The King of Ryder reads the letter, finding out the Count of Honeyhollow is aware of tensions in the air, and wanting to arrange a meeting immediately. And so they’re sent by the King with a message to deliver to invite the Count, a trusted family member of the King, and safely bring him to meet with him. (I’m a bit fuzzy on what the letter said, my notes get sparse around this part admittedly). The king is also to make sure to cut funding to the 56th battalion for their bumbling about.
As the party leaves, with knowledge of the letter in hand, a huge explosion shakes the castle- the package was a bomb. The party has to flee from the chaos, guards chasing after them, keeping doors open and doing their best to escape the castle walls. They manage to get through the closing gates, but are stopped by two guards on the path to the meeting place with Marcus/Chris, and have to fight (one poor guard was stuck fighting a scarecrow, unfortunately for him), and knocking the guards out, the party continued their escape to the back of Marcus’ carriage.
They go riding through the night path, the chaos in the distance, throwing lanterns and whatever they can to impede the guards chasing behind them- Sagi receiving the payment owed to him, thankfully, but definitely not enough for the job he just did. The carriage comes to a halt at a northern gate (?), where the party is thrown (jumped?) from the road into the river below.
At this point, Sider’s player had decided to leave the game, and vanished in the raging current, fate unknown but presumed the worst. My notes have basically become footnotes at this point, so a lot of this is from memory, but I’ll do my bestt
Anyway, so yeah, party has now been accused of killing one King, and accidentally blown up another. Things are kinda messed up right now. The party manages to get to land, into a mushroom-y area- Simon’s world is kind of messed up right now, but in this area, be begins to study the land (as now a Noble/Healer), and Sully begins to wisen up after dealing with all these experiences, with treachery and with nobility (Hunter/Noble). Sagi remains a Merchant, though. Sagi, however, ends up splitting the money for the job (at least, the 1,500 from the latter half of the job) evenly between the three of them after all they went through, instead of keeping it for himself.
Travelling through a muddy forest, they stumble and muddy themselves, before stumbling across a den... containing a chimera. They battle the best, and honestly, it was fairly easy to kill, somehow, with Sully making sure to claim some parts of this beast. The party continues, stumbling into a small- literally- village, filled with nekogoblins. The party explores the village, does their shopping (doing their best to fit their heads into their tiny buildings), and find a shack they can all fit in to sleep into. Sully, before bed, brings the meat of the chimera through the nekogoblin village... where a meowscular chef, with a scar over one eye, proceeds to cook the meet for all the nekogoblins in the village, a downright party, where Sully and the villagers feast like never before at this wonderfully cooked chimera meat. Sagi and Simon, meanwhile, had no idea any of this was going on. Huh.
Anyway, the three continue on their journey, but after buying so many wares, Sagi feels it’s time to purchase another pack animal to journey with the party. And in a rural stable, the pack animal given to him is... a capybura. Much friendlier and easier to manage than the Sheep, but the Sheep was sure to still accompany them on their journey.
The group has options on where to go- and ultimately choose to go to the Eastern Front to have their letter delivered to the Count- still disguised in their 56th Battalion outfits, of course.
There, conditions are rather poor- the 56th battalion doesn’t recognize them, but doesn’t really care. They’re overworked and underpaid. Simon is more and more defeated by his lack of recognition- he, a highly honored general, now simply regarded as a lowly messenger. There’s also this huge guy, Doug. Dude and his friends cut in line for food, have arm wrestling competitions, real schoolyard bullies. Of course, Simon knows how to talk the trash and run his mouth- eventually declaring that he is truly Lord Simon Darquias, and he will have Doug demoted- to which no one believes or cares, except to just annoy Doug, and eventually gets destroyed in an arm wrestling competition after trying to be rational and civil about things afterwards. Sagi, unfortunately, lost the bet he placed on Simon to somehow win. He’s not very good at betting.
The two meet again outside of a shop tent, where after more trash talking, Lord Darquias gets decked in the stomach by Doug. Dude is huge and powerful. With that, they leave him alone for now, and come up with a plan- if they can’t win by force with this guy, win by brains and tell the commanding officer his rank. And so, they do just that, with his passport and badges and all- and the officer did not believe him at all and confiscated these belongings, another crushing blow to Lord Darquias’s ego.
However, soon it’s time to line up in attention- a visitor is arriving. And not just any visitor.
The King of Ryder has survived, badly injured, but survived- and with him, another man they recognized. Except this time, decked out, looking of a much higher class- Marcus. Chris. Also known as: Karmakoff. A leader in his own right (of exactly what I don’t have written down, but he’s a leader of Northern Ryder, basically). And the King, very cross, makes sure that the 56th battalion remains, and that the messengers remain- Staring the party straight in the eye, he interrogates them. Asking for what the heck is really going down.
And so, they’re honest- Their names are Lord Simon Darquias, Sully, and... Connor. They give Sagi a vile look, but Sagi rarely goes by the same name, this is just one of the few times he was actually asked for a name in the campaign, and so it still checks out. They accuse Karmakoff as the head of the operation, but are thrown into jail in the camp- placed behind bars for days and days.
Until finally, the King and Karmakoff return. With the Count of Honeyhollow, who proceeds to question our heroes as well. He believes them- their story checks out, and though saddened by Sider’s loss, he knows these are the people sent on the journey to deliver the message and end the upcoming war. But the King is still uncertain, and Karmakoff is still too trustworthy.
That’s when Sully brings out the Ace Attorney in her.
For you see, we still had that portrait, explaining him being there in our getaway. He admits to letting the party travel in his carriage, and claims that picture could have been drawn at any time after seeing his face. But Sully points out- the paper was wet and dried from the river they fell into after the carriage ride. And the ink on the paper was also wet and settled on the paper as well- Meaning, the picture had to have been drawn before they fell into the river, meaning, they met him before the carriage ride and getting locked up!
This of course caught everyone off guard, but with evidence this damning, Sully succeeds at proving our innocence (again, freaking Sully with these crazy swerve balls that Kresna has to give to her- and shout outs to Kresna for allowing this and changing the story accordingly, we were not meant to win this interrogation, or that one bandit attack earlier honestly)
And so, the King, needing more time to think, takes the paper and agrees to let them free. The Count returns to them their belongings, including Lord Darquias’ passport and badges, and they discuss how to handle Karmakoff and what to do- more evidence to find of his wrongdoing, to prove he was involved with the attack on the castle. And so the party, with the Count, journey back to the capital of Ryder to search for clues- now given badges to prove their authority when searching.
After some travelling, the party learns more about Karmakoff and how he came into power as the son of a previous offer and how he climbed the ranks. Afterwards, the Count parts ways, wanting to meet with them once evidence has been gathered.
The group explores Ryder, does general shopping- Lord Darquias acquiring herbs and such, Sagi meeting a weird lady to sell Nekogoblin staffs he acquired in the village, a very interesting lady. She also has things to sell, except, no, she doesn’t. Meanwhile, Sully also gets involved with her- and sells the chimera horn, of which she is completely smitten by. Sully promises to bring her more chimera meat should she ever come across another, as this lady loves the meat.
Sagi also finds a strange mask merchant, and decides to buy his wares with a straight face- Lord Darquias, meanwhile, is freaked out by the variety of strange and peculiar masks for sale, all with different expressions. Sagi buys a mask of Anguish, Horror, Blank Stare, Discomfort (to reflect how Lord Darquias looked at the time), and a Young Lady’s face to stand out from the rest. Lord Darquias also asks for any nicer masks, and so Sagi is given a mask of Bliss as well, because that one never sells.
Anyway, after all their shopping, the group goes to the warehouse where they received their mission- except, everything’s changed. It’s just a general store now, a farmer’s market. The three go in separately, interacting with different people- Sully talks to the shop keep to get some information, but fails to get anything. Lord Darquias speaks with a strange man obsessed with... aubergine, and learns a looot about aubergine from this guy, who seems to only care about aubergine. And so he convinces Lord Darquias to buy some, and also manages to steal Lord Darquias’ heart... somehow. Ryder is a strange, strange place. Sagi spoke with an old deaf woman, saying he was new to the area, and she thought he was a “nudist”. So of course, Sagi just reverts back to trying to sell the sheep instead, and also fails.
After receiving no information, Sagi makes one more attempt, talking to the shop keep. He pretends to look for a job selling wares, but the owner is uninterested. After a talk, about how he got this place after a job at the castle and how he got ripped off, they have a gamble, where Sagi wins his first gamble (Down to One, of course), but loses the second one for information- Where the old man gets to ask Sagi a question. He offers Sagi a smoke, and the two share a long smoke, choking Sagi a bit. Asks him what Sagi is after, why he wants to find the guy he got the shop from, and Sagi explains how he too was ripped off after doing a job for this guy, and just wants to get even. The old man tells him to wait for him at the tavern, that he’ll be there at sundown.
So, the group meet up at the tavern and wait with the Count. And wait, and wait, and wait. Until finally, it’s closing time, and the Count is very impatient. Sure enough, there’s the old man, wondering what took them so long, smoking outside of the “no smoking” tavern. Gives Sagi the keys to the warehouse and leaves, not wanting to be involved with any of this.
And so begins the infiltration to the warehouse- a stealth mission to find evidence, while not disturbing Karmakoff’s men, who are sitting around playing cards and drunk. Lord Darquias keeps an eye on them, while Sully and Sagi sneak upstairs to search for crates- After a lot of tense searching (so many close rolls), Sully finally found more explosives, and with that, we alerted the Count to bring the guards to seize the place.
The guards did just that, arresting the men who were there- one of them being the man who gave them the mission, the right hand man of Karmakoff, giving a salute with his armband on his arm, before being taken away.
And then, after a night’s rest, the final session.
The group wake up and prepare- Sully buys some armor to be safe (keeping her eyes protected with sunglasses from the gleaming bald, black forehead of the merchant), and Lord Darquias visits a fortune teller one last time- being told his future contains... lots of aubergine. Also told his lucky color for half price (except the original price was doubled), and a weather report too- she walked outside and saw it was nice and sunny. She also didn’t recognize him at all, but she never forgets a face. As soon as he left, Sully goes in and asks what his name was. She claims it was “Farquad”. Classic.
Anyway, we travel back through Ryder to discover battles are already happening- The nationalists of Karmakoff vs the normal people, all there is is confusion, no one knows why they’re fighting, there’s just fighting everywhere. The King meets with us and tells us Karmakoff’s plan- he’s going to Palatora to meet with and murder the Prince of Palatora, in the name of Ryder, and cause an international incident and die a martyr in the name of nationalism. And so we’re given 20 of the King’s best knights, and need to get through the city and stop him. Meanwhile, Sully gives the King and the Count directions to the Nekogoblin village- it’s so hard to find, that they’ll be safe there. The party makes their way through the fighting, only to come across a hefty man, also fighting anyone he sees with his bare fists... Doug.
So the party ends up fighting Doug (I thought we’d be fighting back to back against the nationalists, personally) as well as his two companions, but other than Lord Darquias getting hit pretty hard a few times, he was defeated fairly easily, and his cohorts ran away carrying him.
Arriving in a carriage, Sully drives with Sagi’s assistance, plus two of the strongest knights with us, as the other knights traveled in their own carriages. We arrive at the swamp forest near Palatora, where we continue on foot- with Sully finding their tracks on the move.
The party decides to perform a pincher manuever on the enemy group, as they still haven’t left the forest- half the knights on one side, and their group with knights on the other. Beginning the attack, they send one knight on his own to set flames to their tents- to help signal to the Prince that something’s going wrong, just like Lemony Snicket would have wanted. Meanwhile, the battle goes on, and Karmakoff tries to escape- but is halted by the flames. So, he calls for his dragon, and the final battle begins.
Sully and Karmakoff basically fought it out one-on-one, I debated getting Sagi involved given their history, but it just felt right to have it between those two. So Sagi aimed to kill the dragon first to help humiliate Karmakoff. Lots of big hits, lots of poetry- including throwing a random die and randomly bumping into it to roll it for old time’s sake of Down to One (no real reason other than for fun), and sure enough, Sully almost dies to a crit, but gets a crit back on Karmakoff, and eventually kills him. Meanwhile, Sagi and Lord Darquias fought off the dragon, Sagi had a bit of trouble hitting it, but they managed- with Lord Darquias dealing the final blow, slaying the dragon and cheering.
And with that, it was over. The Prince arrived, the King arrived, lots of talking was to be had, but our motley crew was to be regarded as heroes for what they’ve done, and given enough riches to live comfortably for life.
Days later they were rewarded, and asked what they’d do. King was blinded in one eye for life, of course, but hey, not completely our fault. Lord Darquias would live that aubergine life, open an apothecary on the mountains of Ryder, and get married to the aubergine guy. Yeah. Sagi, aka Rohan Valois, would continue to journey with the Sheep and the Capybura, making a modest living, trying to get more money by selling his journal of all the events that happened on their journey, the Story of Rohan Valois. And Sully would return home, get the horse she wanted all journey-long, and continue travelling the land, expanding her maps and visiting all the people on her journey to thank them. And who knows, maybe find another chimera for the weird Ryder buyer to eat and live happily ever after with.
AND THAT’S THE CAMPAIGN
I uh
started writing this at like, 12:40AM, and now it’s 4AM, but look, this had to be chronicled, okay?
Dude, it was such a good campaign. I can’t describe to you the variety of interesting NPCs we’ve encountered, the fun events, the good stuff, mannn. Kresna was a fantastic GM, Lord Darquias was a fantastic, hilarious character with great development, and Sully was the MVP with the whole “let’s draw a sketch of this guy” and then getting to use it in an Ace Attorney like scenario. Mannn, Sully’s player really thought outside the box, really great stuff. Also helped that Sully’s rolls were like the best early on to kill a lot of stuff. Sider’s player ended up leaving halfway unfortunately, but glad we still managed to continue on (helped that it managed to fit into the narrative fairly okay)
Sagi I felt I definitely could have played better- Originally just a merchant meant to rip people off, but I never felt really good about that, or how to play him properly beyond “try to sell the sheep and make money”, yeah. I’m very bad at roleplaying in general (especially verbally), but still, it was good fun, lots of good people. Ended up at level 6, double Merchant double Technical, with 2,400 gold at the end (before any rewards), so could’ve done better making money, but honestly that goal wasn’t that major by the time the story got rolling, mannn
And really, shout outs to Kresna, for devising the campaign, getting us all involved, and making something phenomenal. Everyone else is inspired by his campaign to make their own, and it was just so perfect, man. His writing, his NPCs and acting and dialogue for them, his on-the-fly making of stuff, mixed with his twists- We joked that the gambler would end up being the final boss, and he and a spectator friend posted logs that was basically them planning that out before the gambler was even introduced, godddddd.
I probably got some events wrong/misunderstood and probably spelled a lot of stuff wrong but hey, that’s life (it was all done in a discord call on a weekly every-other-week basis, good times). I think I got the general message across, anyway. Our team got very good rolls throughout honestly, I’m happy with how the game turned out and how every decision led somewhere interesting, basically.
Everyone remaining now wants to do their own campaigns and admittedly I feel a bit burnt out on it at the moment so not sure if I’d join them, but we shall see what the future holdsss, but yes, fun timesss now I should go to bed and rest my typing hands

Coureurs de bois—Stiles is a fur trader and was intending to follow a route this winter with his brother, Scott, but it seems his sibling has fallen in love with the daughter of a rival trading company and has been hired to lead one of their expeditions. Unhappy with the decision, but loathe leaving Scott to his own devices, Stiles signs-up to be on the team and they begin making the journey settlement to settlement trading wares for furs.
Turns out Stiles was actually hired to guide a small group of men into dangerous territory for hunting—and to avenge the elderly Gerard Argent who had fallen to insanity when a wolf pack slaughtered his only daughter. He learns of the violent history that ties the wolves and the Argents together, which comes to a full circle when Stiles guides them through dangerous territory where he discovers werewolves aren't a myth, but a reality.
I was immediately engaged with the characters, dialog, plot and thought Stiles' personality was true to the Teen Wolf universe. Also, I love the author’s attention to detail. Good story!

Because I finally can - here’s the first litter born in the pack!
Coal looks cute as a pup, at least. The Brown Shepherd and Grey Agouti don’t mix well as an adult. It was a risk I took having a brown-and-cream male with a grayscale female, and I’m expecting a lot of their pups to be similarly dusty-looking.
Then there’s Sordia. She inherited two of her father’s markings and got a Muted base that works with them. She is gorgeous. Would be heir material, but she’d be super old when she took over since she’s less than two years younger than her mom. I don’t know if Wolvden de-ages old wolves upon taking over, but if not, that’s not enough time to get a nice-looking, unrelated mate for the next leader.
She has relatively high Wisdom and Smarts and I like to look at her, so she’s probably going to be the Herbalist when she grows. Her sister’s going on the Hunting team.
Bonus pic - I was messing with the backgrounds I have access to in Raccoon Wares and also seeing what the Blue Jay Feather decor looks like on all the stages (was curious how stereotypical it looked. It’s not available yet, I think. It was craftable during beta, but you have to get the recipe now and I don’t know how that’s done), and the way it rests on the Newborn Puppy. Here - I shall put a feather on your back.

Hi Ho Wolverhampton
It was the day that the mighty Wolverhampton Wanderers took on a premier league leaders Chelsea in the FA Cup fifth. I set up my laptop on the kitchen counter and watched a Vietnamese broadcast of the game, seating myself in the plastic chair on the other side of the room so that I would have room to jump around in the unlikely event of a Wolves goal. The players were too small to make out and the bottom quarter of the screen was blocked out by an advert offering 50% off some hair product, but I was still absorbed by the excitement and atmosphere of the largest Molineux crowd since 1981. In the end, Chelsea proved just too good for us and we lost 2-0, and though I still enjoyed the match, it didn’t change the fact that Wolves have now lost four games in a row. After the full-time whistle, it was this dour statistic that made me miss England for the first time since arriving in Bogotá. It was silly. I’ve been a Wolves fan for over 10 years now, long enough to know that I as an individual am powerless over their dire form, but for some reason I feel even more powerless from across the Atlantic, as if George Saville’s fifth minute rocket against the post would have slammed into the net were I standing in the North Bank, Bovril in hand. And then I found myself craving other simple, miserable English things that I can’t acquire anywhere on this continent; a Gregg’s pasty; gravy; strong cheddar cheese as opposed to this shredded corpse of a cheese-string blasphemously labelled as ‘cheddar’. For the rest of the day, something felt slightly amiss.
Harsh as it sounds, I don’t particularly miss people that much, besides my brother, Mum and Dad, and by association the short Indian woman who’s been on the counter in Wolverhampton’s ‘West Park Café’ for over a decade now. No, on the people front I feel totally at home, particularly after meeting Laura and Guidermo this past week. Laura is the lone music teacher in the primary section of the school. She is a quiet and kind woman, with a gentle falsetto singing voice that suits these characteristics, but she has a far more dynamic skill and enthusiasm for teaching music to young children. On Wednesday I attended her choir before school, for which I will be the new accompanist, and watched her simultaneously conduct the choir and masterfully play the acoustic guitar, making The Sound Of Music’s ‘My Favourite Things’ sound like a gem of the late Leonard Cohen. As early as it was, the kids belting Katy Perry’s ‘Roar’ was a really nice way to start the day. Perhaps it was partly nostalgia; Laura used the same vocal warm-ups with the kids as my old primary school teacher used to do, like chewing a giant, imaginary piece of bubblegum. Laura also threw me onto assisting with the Grade 3 ‘percussion of the pacific’ lessons, which is how I met the teacher Guidermo, who I only needed to know for a couple of hours to become friends with. My first lesson with him consisted of him testing the kids on meters and teaching them an effective polyrhythmous melody on the xylophone (an instrument I’m now determined to learn). During the recess that followed, we grabbed coffee and talked about drumming and joked about the film ‘Whiplash’ and how we could incorporate the teaching techniques of J.K. Simmons in our lessons. What was pleasantly surprising was that I found myself having this conversation in Spanish. Guidermo’s English is far from perfect, and much further from perfect is my Spanish, so we agreed to mutually help one another to improve in each other’s languages. He considerately spoke his sentences in his native tongue at a speed slow enough for me to comprehend, and gave me time to stumble through the formulation of my phrases and anecdotes, not pressuring or chuckling at me, just politely focusing on me through his calmingly rotundant glasses on his calmingly rotundant face. We devised a fool-proof teaching strategy and, when our second lesson came around after break, we had blended into an unstoppable percussive team and we bashed out the best damn lesson those kids had ever seen.
So work is good. Everything is good, really. It’s hard to pin-point what it is that is irking me. Is it that I miss the cold and wet of England? Is it the poor form of the mighty Wolves? Honestly I’m not sure. Sometimes I feel like my emotions and my thoughts have no causal relation; my feelings are just thrust upon me from somewhere else and I have to make up reasons for them later. My best hypothesis is that I don’t like how quickly my time here is going already, that I’ve already been here enough time for the sheer elation of Wolves’ conquest of Anfield to ware off. I mean, shit, the first month of the placement is already over, and I already feel so comfortable in this new home that I can’t really contemplate a return to Nailsea Wetherspoons, but at the same time I sort of miss that bleak simplicity of suburban England. Like I said, it’s hard to pin-point. Last night I sat on my bed with the lights on for like half an hour, not doing anything, just not really wanting another day to end just yet, as if tomorrow wouldn’t exist if I didn’t go to sleep. Snapping out of my trance, I switched off the light, laid down and played Cohen’s ‘Suzanne’ through my white buds, mulling over his lyrics as I dozed off to sleep:
And Jesus was a sailor when he walked upon the water And he spent a long time watching from his lonely wooden tower And when he knew for certain only drowning men could see him He said all men will be sailors then until the sea shall free them

"The only good thing to come from tonight" - Many Wolves fans laud ace who "looks the real deal"
A much-changed Wolverhampton Wanderers may not have beaten Espanyol on Thursday night, but there are positives to be taken from the 3-2 loss, with the obvious one being that they have progressed to the next round of the Europa League.
Watch Wolverhampton Wanderers Videos With StreamFootball.tv Below
Another big one is Daniel Podence’s performance, with the 24-year-old acting as their standout performer on the night.
His showing has got plenty of Wolves fans talking about the quality that he possesses.
Two assists on his first Wolves start.

The Portuguese forward assisted both of their goals against the opposition from La Liga, with his second being the most impressive. He used intelligence to run behind the sleeping defence from a throw, before fizzing a ball into Matt Doherty for an easy finish.
Call yourself a Wolves expert? How much did each of these January signings cost?
Aside from that, he completed two dribbles and two key passes, while he also showed his threat with a run and shot that eventually saw the ball go over.
All of the above has caught the attention of Wolves fans, with one jokingly referring to him as a “young Hazard”.
Young Hazard 😁🤣. Better than him at the moment though

Top top player
— Andy Wareing (@WareingAndy) February 27, 2020
He has been recognised as the team’s main bright spark during the game, with one fan going as far as to say he was “the only good thing to come from tonight”.
WhoScored came close to agreeing that Podence was their best player, as he was just 0.1 behind Adama Traore, who got their biggest score with 7.6.
Regardless of whether he was the best on the night, Podence has caught the eye of fans with his performance – he will be hoping the same can be said for Nuno Espirito Santo.
The only good thing to come from tonight im afraid.
— Chris (@cpj93070) February 27, 2020
Our best player tonight 👍👍🐺🐺
— Polecat (@itspolecatime) February 27, 2020
Meanwhile, Wolves fans want potential summer departee to stay put.

Your summer podcast guide: Why 2018 is the year of the 'podcast boom'
http://www.internetunleashed.co.uk/?p=16424 Your summer podcast guide: Why 2018 is the year of the 'podcast boom' - http://www.internetunleashed.co.uk/?p=16424 Image copyright Instagram:@mydadwrotea/ITV Image caption My Dad Wrote a Porno and Love Island are among the UK's most successful podcasts Whether driving the car, sitting on a train, out running or doing the housework, more of us than ever before are choosing podcasts to keep us company. The latest figures from Rajar suggest six million (11%) of us listen to a podcast each week. That's up from 3.8 million in 2016.While that's still a relatively low proportion of the population, it represents a 58% increase over a two-year period. But one of the key factors is the age of those listening. Recent research from podcast platform Acast suggests that podcast listeners in the UK tend to be millennials - with two-thirds falling into the 16-34 age bracket. Of this group, 27% listen once a week, and 29% listen between two to four times a week. What's more, 21% of respondents in the Acast research, conducted by Ipsos Mori, said they had started listening in the last six months. The popularity of podcasts with this elusive audience - which so many traditional broadcasters and media companies have failed to attract - may be one of the key drivers of the growing podcast market. Image copyright ITV Image caption Last year's Love Island co-winner Kem Cetinay and Arielle Free host the Love Island: The Morning After podcast "This is the year podcasts have gone mainstream," says Hannah Verdier, a freelance podcast reviewer. "A couple of years ago it was still a really niche thing. It seemed to me that no-one really listened to podcasts outside of the London media bubble."But this year feels different, and the last few weeks, in particular, they've really hit their stride. "The one that has really exploded has been the Love Island podcast - it's been on the top of the charts since it launched. It's now seen as essential to a brand to have a podcast as well as a website."'A podcast boom'Matt Deegan, who produces the podcast Love Island: The Morning After, says: "In the last six months a lot of new podcasts have emerged, so it would be fair to say it's having a bit of a boom."We're seeing lots of tweets and reaction to our podcast - many of which are from college students who say they are listening to a podcast for the first time."The successful podcast format has traditionally been the companion format - fan-made shows, for the likes of Westworld, West Wing etc. "Spin-off TV shows have always been popular - like Big Brother's Little Brother, and the same goes for podcasts. Love Island is the first UK television show to really go for it and I think they have been rewarded for it."Podcasts, as we know them, have been around for 15 years and gained some traction in the mid-2000s but seemed to take a blow from other online media content.Rowan Slaney, who writes the Guardian's Hear, Here podcast column, and is an audio content specialist at Google, says: "YouTube came along and since then everyone's been pretty video-focused. And then slowly - mainly because American speech radio is awful - podcasts have been making a comeback."The UK has typically been behind the US in the podcasting stakes because the BBC makes good content and people don't feel the need to go away and download different audio content. "But now everyone has a podcast - and the BBC has had to start taking it more seriously too."'True crime craze'One of the landmarks on the podcast landscape was, of course, the podcast Serial. The first two seasons of the true crime hit have been downloaded more than 250 million times, according to Serial Productions. Image copyright Serial Image caption Serial is about the conviction of Adnan Syed for the murder of ex-girlfriend Hae Min Lee "Serial was amazing," says Slaney. "But you can't attribute everything to that podcast. If it weren't for the ongoing dedication of real audio fans, who had the interest in podcasts all along we would never have had a series like that. Serial kicked off a real true crime craze - and it's still the most-listened-to genre."Deegan, who is also the co-founder of the British Podcast Awards, says Serial coincided with podcasts becoming much more accessible via smart phones."When it became a default app on the iPhone, perhaps four or five years ago, it meant more and more people clicking on it. And that was the same sort of time Serial came out - which was the first real podcast content hit."'Game changer'It wasn't much longer before the podcast sensation My Dad Wrote A Porno came out. Hosted by Radio 1 presenter Alice Levine and two of her university friends, James Cooper and Jamie Morton, the podcast has been on the iTunes chart for more than two years. It recently went on tour with its live shows, selling out the Royal Albert Hall. "And others have realised there is a real market there with young, female audiences."Slaney agrees: "Everything is traditionally made for men. Young women are let down by most speech radio - there's a real gap. "Currently the only real route into audio is through the BBC and if you don't fit into those six channels then there's nowhere for you to be heard on mainstream media. But podcasting is a really exciting format, and anyone can do it - so it opens up the door to lots more content and more creativity."Now young women are making their own content that they enjoy. And the amount of black and non-white voices we've heard in podcasting has just exploded. "They're also voices that are not well served by traditional media, so it's a means for ethnic minorities to get their voices heard."The Shout Out Network is one of a number of platforms supporting people of colour and actively encouraging women in podcasts. Wolves In The City, hosted by YouTuber Lee Gray, grime artist Karnage Kills and DJ Jay Jay Revlon, is just one of the podcasts they promote - which aims itself at gay black men exploring their sexuality in London. "Radio 4 has commissioned a series of the Beef and Dairy Network, for example, a comedy which started out as a podcast."And Ed Miliband has sat in twice for Jeremy Vine on Radio 2 following the success of his Reasons to be Cheerful podcast - currently number 16 on the iTunes chart."In short," says Deegan, "podcasts have grown up." Podcasts to listen to now...Hannah Verdier's recommendations: Image copyright Getty Images Image caption Julia Davis and Vicki Pepperdine's Dear Joan and Jericha is currently number two in the podcast charts Dear Joan and Jericha - Julia Davis and Vicki Pepperdine pretend to be a pair of agony aunts and they're quite rude and filthy. It's got a really dry, observational humour. Very daring.Gossip - about three friends who meet weekly to... you guessed it... gossip and freak out over the latest developments in their fictional suburban town, Golden Acres.Dirty John - this is a good one for total podcast beginners. It's an American true crime about a woman who meets a man on the internet. She thinks he's a surgeon and then it all unravels...Sandra - this is a bit more upbeat from Gimlet, one of the best podcasting companies in the US. Ethan Hawke plays a boss and Kristen Wiig plays an Alexa/Siri type character. Turns out Sandra is powered by real people though. Dark comedy drama.Griefcast - this doesn't sound fun, but trust me, it's good. It's very simple: just people talking about their experience with grief. It's really honest but uplifting and a really nice listen.Rowan Slaney's recommendations:Capital - a drama about a referendum won by 51% of the vote to bring back capital punishment. The Discovery Adventures - a good one for the family. It's easy and fun, and you can go and visit some of the places that the episodes are based on.Harry Potter and the Sacred Text - two friends going through each chapter of Harry Potter, looking at the symbolism and language of all the books. Very well structured. The Dollop - two comedians find the most ridiculous events in US history that shaped their country. Really well researched and funny. How To Be A Girl - won the best international podcast at the British Podcast Awards. A mother and her transgender daughter talk to each other. It's about how they navigate the world while she's growing up and going through her transition.Matt Deegan's recommendations: Image copyright Twitter/@walkthedogcast Image caption The Times' Emily Dean interviewed Alan Carr in her first episode of Walking the Dog Where should we begin? - Esther Perell is a counsellor. You sit in a therapy situation with real couples. The Tip-Off - behind the scenes of investigative journalism, how did they get the story?Love Island - you should definitely listen to this if you like the show, Pod Save America - Barack Obama's old speech writing team, on the annoying things Donald Trump has done that week. Has turned from a very angry podcast, to more of a campaigning, fun podcast.Walking the Dog - from The Times. Emily Dean interviews a celebrity guest each week while they walk their dogs.
