Happy Audio Drama Sunday! I wish you clarity today. Clarity of thought, of self, of purpose, and a direct line between who you want to be and how to get there.
@hinaypod Episode 62 - Akit (Attraction): Another DJ in the Dark episode! We hear more about the Young William rhyme, and how he only appears to those who are truly afraid. There's always more to the story though, so hopefully we'll learn more soon. āØ
@mil-liminal Episodes 1-12: This audio drama tells some creepy, haunted tales from a gas station attendant working the overnight shift at a haunted gas station. These tales are laced through with threads of hope, of pushing forward, of finding yourself, and of found family. The ending of the latest episode had me tearing up, and I'm looking forward to hearing more from Caro. I've also now devoured one of the two comics featuring Caro by the same creator. ā½
The Godfrey Audio Guide - Episodes 1 to 65: I've been listening through this show over the last few weeks and finally finished it up at the beginning of this week. It was so good at creating that air of mystery, at makng the exhibits feel just a bit (or sometimes a lot) unreal and haunted. I loved the descriptions of real pieces that described them in a new light or perspective. I also really enjoyed the descriptions of the pieces with mysterious, haunted pasts, with stories intertwined with the life of Annabelle H. Godfrey and the museum itself. Also the background stories of the incidents happening at the museum were gold! š¼ļø
@dom-guilfoyle's Mistholme Museum of Mystery, Morbidity and Mortality S1-S2E5: After listening through the above shows, I started MMoMMaM again from the beginning. It has similar vibes that I really enjoyed. I made it pretty far the first time I listened, to the end of season 4 I think. A certain something happened though, the Guide was betrayed, and I had to step away in my upset and it took until now to come back! I'm already partway through season 2 this time around, and am enjoying the deepening mystery of what happened to send the museum into lockdown... ā¹ļø
@worldgonewrongpod 603 - What do we talk about when there's nothing to talk about?: Yay, special guest Riley, here to save the day! Aaaaaaaand it's Leonard again... Dammit! We still know nothing! What a perfect way to distract Jamie from her job search woes though, well played there. Hope everything's alright with Malik's advisor! š
@goodmorningevildoers S2E2 - The Homunculi Thrive: it was fun hearing that the Homunculi are doing collective bargaining. I'm also glad that Coelacanth is doing well! He is a good boy! I really hope we get to hear a clip of the radio broadcast when the Mothman does a fly-by, that would be incredible. š
@forgedbondspod Mini Series - Chapter 1.2: After all that deliberation with herself, Arachne forgave Athena so quickly! It did sound like he really meant it though. He had notes! And don't thing I didn't notice that Arachne already started using a nickname, "Thena". We'll have to wait and see how things evolve between them from here. š
@vestaclinicpod The Night Market (A Listen Closely Tie-in): Thank you AMC for giving me another opportunity to gush about Leon Egan's new book, Listen Closely! I listened to again this week (thanks long flights!) and it was just as good the second time 'round. Hearing this first episode of the Night Market again after the re-listen makes it hit so much more. Now I can't help but imagine a younger Jude, just wishing they had the skin thickening cream to hide and protect themself from the world. š Also, AMC, absolutely fantastic work on the theme music! š§
@re-dracula Week 11: We hear the beginning of the voyage of the Demeter! There are some strange things afoot on the ship carrying some familiar large wooden crates... Renfield is also trying to add a kitten to his collection of companions. š¦

for the last week of mistholme may, i'm finally posting this ux design project i did here!! its essentially a website design for the mistholme museum in-universe, and though it isn't perfect i'm really proud of how it came out ^_^ thank you to the mistholme server for being such a cool bunch when i originally posted this there :]
some pics are censored bc i took them myself, but hey its not not museum funkiness
the disclaimer section is actually up to date up until roughly early s6!! totally worth the effort imo
the weird video file sizes is bc i didnt standardise it and barely tested it but it's fine we ball (said with much stress)
michael afton is there bc it was the first filler name i could think of and i didnt end up changing it, apologies to the, if real, head of patronage
godfrey audio guide mention! i like the idea of them being a partner to the mistholme museum its cool
crystal skull my beloved, always destined to be incomplete
most buttons dont work regretfully, youll just have to admire the pretty text
the social media section contains weverse (social media for kpop stars) bc my sister thought it would be funny and it was hilarious to think abt kpop star guide
heres one more extra vid if yall r interested haha

275 on my list is The Godfrey Audio Guide!
Each episode is an audio guide to artwork found in the Annabelle H. Godfrey Historic Estate and Museum; and as well as real artwork, there are some more unusual pieces. There are also dark shadows, and rumours of strange disappearances.

oh....The Godfrey Audio Guide...it's over... I kind of thought when I saw that there was a two part episode that it was going to be some big turning point or maybe even the ending. Still, I had no idea. I'll miss it. The audio tour guided me through the estate through many loads of laundry and rows of crochet and walks outside. One of these days I'll have to listen again and see if I can figure out more about the shadow voices... I feel like I never remembered enough details to put everything I learned about them together from one appearance to the next. It would also be nice to put episodes together by artists, and listen to a series of descriptions of art by just one of them all in a row. I was always fond of Giovanni Moon. I loved any time we heard letters from Annabelle herself a lot. I loved the interludes between exhibits when we'd hear the museum's advertisement and announcements. And I really loved Betsy. And I loved being called 'intrepid patron' by the audio tour guide. And I loved the audio tour guide.
Good-bye, Godfrey Audio Guide. I'll see you back at the museum <3
#the Godfrey audio guide#podcasts#side note I'm at the laundromat and I swear I just paid for 6 minutes in the dryer and I don't think that was 6 minutes but it says 1 left#I should've timed it

You said people could ask you about podcast recfomendations?
Well then. I enjoyed tma, silt verses, mistleholme museum and old gods of appalachia. I liked the firsz season of archive 81 but not the second(didn't finish that). And i like wtnv but only in very very small doses.
hello !! I got a bunch of ideas, and I'm also putting in a few things you may enjoy despite not being directly related to the shows you've told me about :))
Margaret's Garden - this is a bit different from what you usually seem to enjoy, but I believe you could still like this one

ars PARADOXICA - okay this one is a tad long but I thoroughly enjoyed it, time travel is always fun but the way this specific story is told is quite captivating,

The Godfrey Audio Guide - I've only begun listening to this one but it was very enjoyable !! it obviously gave me Mistholme vibes, tho I do believe the story has nothing more in common than audio guides and museums

Malevolent - I think this one will be right up your alley, a horror masterpiece

I am in Eskew - just like Malevolent, I think you won't have any problem getting into this one !!

Red Valley - I LOVE Red Valley, and I think you may love it as well,,

Victoriocity - this has nothing to do with the rest but I wanted to give you something really funny as well, and this one is great, you should try it out !!

there you go friend !! ā” hope you'll enjoy these recs !!

I had to do a triple take at seeing this post because I just listened to The Godfrey Audio Guide podcast today and they literally said this same exact thing in one of the episodes. And yet this post doesn't appear to be a fan post??? It just cropped up naturally??? What timing.

ok audio dramas let's go
WTNV is great, and they make like five other great shows, so good starting place.
If you want more horror, The Magnus Archives, A Voice From Darkness and I Am In Eskew are excellent
If you want something scary and also about art, Godfrey Audio Guide is excellent
In the sci-fi direction, SAYER and Red Valley (although some serious content warnings on Red Valley) are great for serious stuff, Midnight Burger and We Fix Space Junk are excellent comedies
Re: Dracula is a podcast version of Dracula Daily that's banger
So I now have a >1hr commute 3-4x a week. I need narrative podcasts and I know nothing about podcasts.
I'm considering getting into WTNV? I guess? It's literally the only one I know of with a narrative.
Suggestions????
