Watched MICKEY 17 earlier today and was very happy to see Tim Key in it (he had more scenes than expected!). Read a few articles afterwards, and this bit from The Guardian where Bong Joon Ho talks about Tim is so delightful!

It’s a bit like being married, if you have been lucky enough to have found ‘the one’ – you just know. Tim and I just had that thing sense of things straightaway.

Tim Key is phenomenal, infusing his recluse with organic comedy and emotive layers, and Basden capably plays the predictable curmudgeon alongside. The characters of Nell and Michael are less compelling, given less to a fault, barely even tools for the development of the central duo, but luckily their influence is ephemeral; this is a film about two characters and their baggage: letting it go, reclaiming it, recognizing the beauty in it. Simple, soft, lovely.
