I wanted to use a color pallet for a drawing and this was so pretty and timerift colors,,,, I love lineless sometimes

Has anyone sent Mephiles to the back rooms yet? Cuz like...that's...that's kinda where he is rn right? I mean yeah you could argue that like White space is different from the back rooms, but he's locked out of reality. Is White space like the level above the backrooms? Well I don't care because someone's gotta send Mephiles to the backrooms so it might as well be me.

He is so bored that he finds a way to clip through white space into the backrooms.

He's so confused, but like he explores because what else is he going to do stuck outside of the timeline.

Basically he becomes an Eldritch horror of the back rooms. He meets the other enemy creatures and they are chill with him. They speak an entirely different language, but he's got time so he learns how to talk to them and stuff.

Finds out he has no better chance of leaving the back rooms than white space. So he just learns to terrorize the people along with the other creatures. It becomes a past time of his for whenever he's super bored.

Can go between white space and back rooms as he pleases. Takes one of the creatures with him once to show it what he has to put up with.

They both prefer the extensive layout of the back rooms.

But like, Mephiles still wants to see if other timerifts open up so he has to go back and check every once and awhile.

Do the timerifts stay the same or do the colors or themes change since it's like clocktowers beneath the sea and blue + purple rifts would it be like orange/yellow and red rifts to reflect mu?

YEP!!! Rifts are a-changin! I don't know what to do with the rifts themselves, like what's inside em, maybe it could have this. Sparkly rainy cave aesthetic?? And for story rifts... They basically stay the same just different stories for different characters... Eg, we've had The Solution (Hood and Bows backstory) BUT WHAT IF THERE WAS A STORYBOOK ABOUT WHERE MU CAME FROM??? A STORYBOOK ABOUT. idk . Where the Nyakuza came from, Baroness & Romans backstory, the wanderers / marionettes (instead of shadow puppets I was thinking of. Shadow marionettes LOL) And all that

Confession 99... Whoever designed that Deep Sea timerift to be THAT INFURIATING.... good job! I hope both sides of your pillow are warm and you step on a lego /j... but still, good job on making a challenging level I won't soon forget. Fuck you still though. :P (Also PLEASE don't tell me I'm the only one who was bad at that stage.)

Man I'm just slingin questions at ya like rocks through your window BUT I do wanna ask if somehow (probably not this is maybe stupid to ask) timerifts either casual or story i don't care are still a thing in your sequel or is it not possible for those shards to make rifts of any kind

First of all, I love getting the questions. It actually forces me to think about the world I'm creating in accordance with the first game's story. Second of all, I do want to include them in some kind of way. They were some of my favorite parts gameplay wise of the first one, but how I'd add them to the story, I don't know. Maybe the shards could create rifts, or maybe just stray time pieces that landed on the planet. I'll have to think more about it.
