CRINGETOBER Day 5: Gijinka

this gave me the excuse to dredge up some Really Old characters i never ended up doing anything with lol

so this is a mix of both anthro and actual gijinka/humanization, because i find the anthro approach much more fun but i had asked a couple months ago for some more unconventional pokemon to gijinkafy, and this was also an excuse to finally follow through with them as well

the first two anthro characters were supposed to be for some group on deviantArt bc i was trying to be active in various pokemon communities there - the Absol i'd named Krallen was the main guy i was trying to apply with and the Growlithe is his sister as just a fun side character with opposing personalities

and the other two human characters are a Comfey and Vanillite respectively! the two interpretations of them i had in my mind were so clear, so coming up with these designs didn't actually take long at all lol

i had planned on digitizing these, but the sketches for the first two turned out really clean so i just decided to keep them analog and used some of my colored pencils for them!

One thing I need to let go of in 2024 is the instinct to go to the scarcity mindset. I have a solid group of friends, people like having me around, I'm not worried about that. But every time I fail a talking stage, I can fall into the temptation of feeling like I've wasted my one (1) chance to find someone, which,, no! I am simply a little weird around guys I may be considering in a romantic sense and that's it! Nothing you can't grow and learn from! Or maybe they weren't meant to be and that's also okay!

Like, this year, I really wanna condition my brain to not fall into the trap of this kind of thinking. And yeah, there are worse things than this, but like, it's something I need to work on in regards to my personal life. And it feels nice to say it somewhere
