1. Bakery AU - More Slice-of-life than action/adventure. Follows Macaque after being resurrected by Lady Bone Demon and her General, The Mayor.

Synopsis: Instead of Macaque throwing the key away and going after Sun Wukong, he instead convinces LBD and her lackey to let him recuperate so he can create them both new bodies with shadow magic and effectively make them both Celestial Primates. He does this, but adds a caveat that he can't be harmed by what is basically his own magic. He then takes off to Europe with the two new adolescent Celestial monkeys in tow. After a few hundred years of odd jobs, Macaque meets a woman Lin Moniang (Mazu), who helps run a lighthouse and whose older brothers run a bakery. After falling in love with her, Macaque; LBD and The Mayor all assist with the bakery.

Character Names:

The Six Earred Macaque - Renamed Zao Yueliang. He's the "oldest" of the group of Celestial Primates, being physically around his 20's.

The Ancient Lady White Bone Demon - Renamed Qiao Guniang. She's the youngest now, being physically around 11, and she hates it. She would've killed Macaque after being released and placed into her new body, but both she and Wu Dan found out real quick that neither of them hold the Six Earred Macaque's leash.

The Mayor - Renamed Wu Dan. He's definitely in the middle though he and his Lady-turned-little-sister don't know why that is. At least not while they're on the run from Wukong. He's physically 15 years old and so annoyed with it. He tried to help his Lady kill Macaque, but their new bodies began to desolve back into the shadows.

Secondary Character Names:

Lin Mei (Beautiful Forest) - Macaque and Moniang's eldest. In canon, she would have been LBD's host.

Lei Sheng Paishou (Thunder Clap) - Known as Rumble in the playsets. The eldest of Macaque and Moniang's twins.

Joro (taking the place of Strong Spider) - A female spider demon whose thinness belies her strength in combat against the Monkie Kids

Phantom Spider - A female spider demon with an attitude. She's SQ's chosen heir. She has a one-sided attraction to MK.

Syntax - The only male spider "demon". He used to be a human scientist that worked for SQ, but had the liquid mutagen he'd developed for SQ and his Spider-bots turned on him. He's smaller and weaker than any of the girls. Joro and Wood take great delight "teasing" about eating him.

How close to canon!LMK, on a scale of 1 to 10; with 1 being not very canon, is this? Depending on length: short one or two chapters, it's at best a 2. If I write it out all the way, it's an 8.5 with Spider Queen and DBK being the primary antagonists.

Is there shipping? Some background ships are IronBull; FreeNoodles; Joro/Syntax/Wood and maybe some variations on Chimera. The only ShadowPeach is Past!ShadowPeach.

What I Liked

hhhh the romance concept of pts and fjx is rly rly right up my alley, philosophy×mathematics with the core of "true self", it rly... rly ticks all my boxes. how do i describe itttt its like, its like... basically, the pursuit of truth is the most romantic of all lmao its like how i think that physics is inherently romantic, philosophy and math are like that too. basically. i love the abstract metaphors and the in-character but non-public knowledge allusions, they way they integrate and make parallels of each other in their own fields of study (moon of entelecheia, point on the number axis). ngl i didn't expect this kind of thing in my idol-setting showbiz wn.

i feel like pts and fjx rly embody the quote from Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, "Love does not consist of gazing at each other, but in looking outward together in the same direction". pts didnt hate fjx himself but hated how passive he seemed despite being at the eye of a storm of rumors, and fjx avoided him bc it’s his natural reaction to someone who doesn’t like him. but at the core they have similar values and outlooks in life, just different ways of going about in preserving them. so once the ice between them starts to melt into warmth, it's rly... fairly easy for them to fall for each other.

i love how zhichu wrote fjx. i feel like true socially awkward introverts r super rare in danmei-sphere. there r mostly taciturn ppl who don't like to speak (hello stoic cold mls) but they're not lacking in the social capability department. when i read abt fjx i lowkey think, wow, i feel like that too sometimes lmao. it's also nice that zhichu wrote how there r ppl who questioned if fjx has psychological problems and responded that there r ppl who r naturally more introverted, and ngl i'm guilty of thinking of that too, even though i myself am an extreme introvert and should have been able to understand and identify more w fjx sighs

ling yi is an entire precious disaster bb and yybl would not have been the same without him

tbh yybl brings back all the sweetest memories of my kpop stan days, reading it is like experiencing ur fav nugu group blow up into stardom. they even come w their own edgy boygroup title tracks lmao. hnn but yeah, there r so many memorable moments. the accidental cp fancam (exid's fancam that made them famous!), faulty audio that catapulted them to stardom (gfriend's infamous slipping performance when they danced on a wet stage?), fjx's mic box almost falling off and him saving it flawlessly (shinee's dream girl perf w minho's broken mic stand), their first win, their first concert... i cried reading the last 2 chapters abt their concert, it rly made me nostalgic. anw. the point is. stan kaleido.

night trip tho it became so meaningful im so shook, it was a drama ost n they described the scenes where the song was used n i got Goosebumps n then the hidden meaning of the lyrics was also revealed n how it's all referring to pts and fjx's love story sigh sigh sigh

ok ok ok but i can't not mention the absolutely beautiful imageries that kept being used to reference these two. from math to philosophy to the moon to spring/winter... they're fantastic, i love the beauty in the writing.

What I Disliked

the...pacing is kinda wack. tbh nearing the end of the story i was kind of tired of reading it, and not bc i'm bored (like for ghfod i was actually bored near the end). the ups and downs were just really... quite extreme. idk how to quite describe it, but it was tiring.

pts's attitude screams entitled a lot of the times. tbh he can't get away w most of the shit he does if he wasn't so rich. at least he's not a stoic ml ig

the author mentioned it too but it's def a v idealistic view of the entertainment industry. not rly a con but its also not rly a pro, but having come from kpop n seeing the netizen reactions for kaleido, i just think that they must be living in a much warmer, kinder parallel world compared to this one.

¿Qué puedo decir de esta novela? Realmente es una de las que más tenía ganas hace tiempo (la llevaba poniendo como opción ya 5 veces cada vez que preguntaba qué leer a continuación), y aunque inicialmente fue complejo encontrar una traducción, ¡no me rendí! Y fue la mejor decisión que pude tomar.

Demoré bastante en leerlo, pero porque no tuve mucho tiempo, aún así, se convirtió en una de mis favoritas e incluso leí los extras enseguida. Cuando en realidad, pocas veces leo los extras. Tiene pocos capítulos pero son extensos y aún así, ¡no es una lectura pesada! Al contrario, este autor tiene la capacidad de llevarte dentro de la historia y describir las escenas de una forma tan exquicita y detallada que es algo que realmente le aplaudo.

Pocas historias me hacen sumergir tanto en una lectura como esta novela, puedes ver con lujo detalle cada escena y tienen una cantidad de frases que te hacen suspirar. Aquí encontré mi confesión favorita de las lecturas que llevo del año y muchas más.

"¿Cómo se podría sumar, restar, multiplicar y dividir el amor?"

"Ron, saliva dulce, burbujas de coca-cola, pliegues internos de la boca, frambuesa y baileys, papilas gustativas en la punta de la lengua, leche y dientes lisos"

"Eran solo dos animales heridos, y cuando sangraban, sus temperaturas bajaban, por lo que no les quedó más remedio que abrazarse y sobrevivir aprovechando el calor del otro"

Aquí te presentan a un grupo de idols llamado Kaleido, poco conocido, que se esfuerzan en conseguir sus objetivos. Te muestra no solo una historia romántica, sino que además una realidad en el mundo del entretenimiento, rodeados de dificultades que poco a poco irán enfrentando. Los protagonistas inicialmente se ven obligados a crear una fan CP (fan couple, es decir, como crear realidad tu "shipp", llamado TingJue CP) debido a la popularidad que ganaron gracias a una escena entre ellos, quién diría que esto daría inicio a una pareja tan hermosa y que te haría gritar ¡esto es amor verdadero!

Parte como un rivals, avanzando hacia friends y terminando en lovers, todo el desarrollo que tienen a lo largo de la historia es precioso y leer el primer capítulo con el último, te das cuenta de cómo ambos influyeron en la vida del otro. Una relación bonita donde ambos se esfuerzan por acompañarse y aceptarse. Aparte de traerse una tensión tremenda, las escenas +18 de ellos es otro nivel de erotismo. Ver cómo Pei Tingsong y Fang Juexia se influyen y complementan para crecer y enfrentar sus miedos es algo emocionante.

Los personajes secundarios no se quedan atrás, pese a que igual me habría gustado una mayor interacción entre todos como grupo también entiendo el porqué no era tan así inicialmente pese a los años que llevaban juntos como Kaleido. Todos tienen esa chispa y encanto, incluso aquellos que aparecen apenas 5 capítulos, quedan en tu corazón. Cada uno destacando a su modo y las interacciones entre todos te sacan más de una carcajada.

Esta historia me hizo reír, llorar y chillar, la recomiendo enormemente si deseas leer algo no tan denso, entretenido y con una historia que te hará estremecer el corazón. ♡

Repito la capacidad de Zhichu de describir y detallar las escenas y sentimientos de los personajes porque te hacen sumergir en la lectura por completo. Estoy entusiasmado por leer otras de sus novelas.

本週跑量59K，過去7天跑量67K

老���的公司四零四科技每年秋冬路跑季都會在公館水岸舉辦Moxa Run路跑活動，除了公司同仁以及家人能參賽之外，也邀請了一些實力強大的跑團跑友們一起來參賽，賽事有半馬、10K、3K組，總參賽人數應該有超過500個人，舞台、拱門、交管、補給、計時晶片、感應地墊、一應俱全，很少有公司舉辦的路跑賽事辦得跟正規賽事一樣，只能說Moxa肯花也願意花經費讓員工們健康跑，不簡單的公司啊…

這幾年Moxa Run的半馬路線維持為由公館水岸先往上游方向朝景美跑1.7K經第1折返點折返後再往新店溪下游跑，11.5K跑到華江橋跨過新北市對岸繼續新店溪上游跑，最後從永福橋跑回台北市回到公館水岸終點，就河濱半馬而言算是稍微複雜了些，主要是有幾處折返點加上需要過華江橋以及永福橋上下橋各一次，要說難跑是不至於啦，只是上橋的坡度還是會讓人的精神心率為之大振XDD

半馬的賽事在早上7點起跑，5點跟老大起床後吃了早餐換上路跑裝備，6點40分左右來到公館水岸已經有許多Moxa的員工和家人們已經在現場，老大今年不跑半馬而改跑7點半起跑的10K組相對輕鬆些，那我就不用像前兩年一樣維持在5分初來跑半馬LSD啦，只是因為星期日一大早自己還要跟東吳超馬接力賽，今天也不敢跑太快，就把這場Moxa Run半馬當作LFD來練跑吧！

6點50分左右舞台上開始有健身老師帶著半馬組選手們暖身伸展，自己是在一旁自行伸展暖身，7點整槍響準時開跑，一群人以4分速衝出公館水岸大大斜坡，認真的嗎？ 後來發現他們真的是認真的XDD，我自己是只敢保守些以4分半起跑，但也算是夠快了…剛起跑往景美方向的1.7K還能看到山貓團早起6點早餐團團練的��友們在練LSD，話說山貓路跑團閃光無所不在，像是晃晃跟Tingju就是愛相隨啊，另一對就是Adam跟麗安這一對AR黑衣二人組；話說老孫從公館水岸剛往景美方向起跑時就看到AR黑衣二人組，而1.7K折返開始往新店溪下游跑時心想怎麼一路沒看到Adam跟麗安呢？ …結果接近馬場町時在路邊看到一對穿著黑衣但是極度放閃的閃光就在路邊，還對著正迎面跑來的老孫說：「我們正準備擁吻而已，你就跑來了」… 老孫當場岔氣無法前行，只能重新調整呼吸再上路…

被山貓團的閃光們閃到就算了，今天的半馬一路上還真是孤單，除了一開始3K左右超過了幾位配速配太快的跑者之外，細算在前方應該還有5到6位的領先集團，但是一路卻是完全看不到前方領先集團的車尾燈；一路上自己獨跑也只敢配4:40左右的M配速，再快的話怕自己積太多乳酸明早的東吳超馬接力賽就跑不動了，反正今天就隨緣嘛，M配速21K當作LFD跑到完就是了…

除了近12K上華江橋和20K上永福橋略為掉速之外，自己全程配速配得還算穩定，即便8點後陽光開始有點曬了，在新店溪左岸永和端的逆風也不算小，不過4:40跑起來還算撐得住啦！最後過了永福橋回到了公館水岸前還看到跑10K組的老大已經在終點前對我笑了XDD，一樣是略為不足里程的Moxa Run，完賽時間1小時36分，拿到了總6/78，公司外組5/36的成績，還不錯啦！ 不過也看得出Moxa Run來助拳的公司外跑友們實力有很多都是很堅強的！

老大10K組拿了女子總一又再次上了凸台，難怪她在終點看著我跑回來時相當開心XDD；完賽後有位年輕的Moxa同仁跑友過來打招呼，他說他也是山貓團跑友耶而且常被姆士哥操到不要不要的，原來是今天Moxa Run半馬賽事成績1:27的Moxa最速跑者開智，最近剛進Moxa的開智第一次參加Moxa Run就拿了總一，看來姆士教練平時非常���心哦XD，又一位半馬90分內、5千18分台的山貓跑友，山貓愈來愈強大，也恭禧Moxa再次有強力跑者出現！
