As for the Justice League, I’m gonna refer you to their relationship with Terry in “Batman Beyond,” I think they’d see him as The New Kid at first but that they’d eventually accept him as a peer

TumblrFrostbite's AU Headcanon: Imagine Iris and Caitlin are ninja assassins and they both would play fight with each other via throwing weapons at each other (weapons that they can easily block and dodge from) as well as flirt while trying to chasing and catching one another until the other does (tightly and lovingly).

And one day Caitlin throws like a plank of wood a little too hard and it hits Iris in the head and she falls and doesn’t get up right away. And Caitlin runs over all concerned and is like shaking Iris, tears running down her face when she’s not waking up

And Iris just smirks and bursts out laughing and is like “if I died form that, it would’ve sucked, wooden it?” And Caitlin is just like omg can you kill me just so I don’t have to deal with you anymore

TumblrFrostbite's AU Question: If Harvey Dent NEVER had his face scarred, no thanks to unfortunate circumstances, how different would Harvey's life be if he's still a district attorney and ally of Batman and Gordon now? Note: This scenario could take place in any DC canon. ANY DC canon.

Ok. This is literally the first ask I ever got on this blog, and there’s a reason it took me so long to answer. This is like, a huge question. So apologies for putting it off so long, and I hope this answer satisfies, @frostbite883.

Note: there are a couple of my own assumptions in here, but don’t let that detract from the main point.Note Note: im on mobile and can’t create a cut off, so long text incoming.

Harvey Dent before getting scarred was a tenacious dumbass. He was the DA, and he did his very best to clean up the crime in Gotham, despite being threatened with bodily harm multiple times. This is the dude that purposefully snapped photos of known Mob people’s license plates, despite being warned Not To Do That by the Gotham crime families. Fuckin wild man.

He was like. Batman If Batman operated in the daytime and lawfully. As DA, he had a high conviction rate cause this guy!! Had!! Evidence!!! He was against wrongful convictions and he did his gosh dang best to keep criminals behind bars, and the innocent on the streets.

A regular rising star! He was insanely popular (amongst the normal, non criminal people), and he was a very good friend of Bruce Wayne. The world was his oyster. Then he got scarred and it all went to shit.

But suppose he didn’t get scarred? Suppose he didn’t have that mental break? Well let’s discuss.

Firstly, I don’t think he’d like. Immediately ascend to position of mayor or something like that. He’s a popular dude, but I genuinely believe that he would want to stay in law, where he could measure his own impact in the city. Conviction rates and evidence? That’s all tangible.

Harvey is a tangible dude for sure, let’s be real. Part of the character’s appeal is his intensely held beliefs of right and wrong. As his darker inclinations are not given a Literal Face like in canon, I think it’s fair to say that he’d still have a bit of an internal crisis morals wise.

The interesting thing about Two Face was that he wasn’t an alien. He wasn’t some dark force. He was Harvey, the parts of Harvey that he always tried to suppress. Just because Harvey wasn’t scarred doesn’t mean that Two Face wasn’t lurking beneath the surface.

So let’s break this down:1. Harvey Dent has a high profile, high pressure job. It’s hard for him to ‘turn off’ work mode- we know this because people close to him are constantly telling him to tone it down and take a dang break.2. We also know that the Sal Maroni case (where he was scarred in canon) was an especially important one. He would have been more stressed than usual.3. In this hypothetical scenario, we’re gonna say Maroni still attempted to throw acid on him. We’re also gonna say he’s either a terrible shot or Harv was just able to dodge the shit out of that.4. Either way, there was still an attempt on Harvey’s life. He’s already in the public eye (which can be stressful for anyone- Harvey included), and now that his case has been partially derailed by the shit show that is him almost dying. Not to mention the fact that he’s already under a lot of pressure to do well due to his position as a rising star who’s yet to have a scandal. That’s. Really overwhelming.5. Two Face’s appearance in canon is directly linked to Harvey’s own mental weakness (read: stressed as fuuuck), but he only got as much power as he did because he was physically there, a literal manifestation.

But for this AU, he’s not scarred. So let’s analyse this new behavior:1. He’d be irritable following the attack. Two Face is repressed emotion, and while he remains safely locked away his influence would still be felt. Harvey would probably be grappling between keeping up his public ‘golden boy’ persona, and dealing with an onslaught of negative emotions that of fucking course he’s feeling! Dude probably has some form of PTSD and I’m not even getting into that!2. His relationships with the people in his life would be strained. He and his wife (I don’t think they’re fighting or anything) are talking less, he’s isolating himself. He and Bruce are still friends, but Harvey would try to keep Bruce from worrying by over compensating how 'fine’ he feels. 3. He’d be reckless too. From the very beginning this man has been reckless but this takes it to a new level. His sense of self preservation is all over the place. He’s paranoid (that people will realize that he’s not as ok as he shows himself to be), but he’s taking tremendous risks all the time. His conviction rate goes up, as does his tendency to courtroom drama. Two Face was always the one with an eye for the ridiculous, and I think this seeps into this Harvey.

Eventually Bruce and the others close in his life are gonna meet up and be like: 'yo Harv’s acting bananas’. It’s intervention time.

So Bruce, Harv’s wife, Gordon, and some of the people in Harvey’s office trap him one day and there’s a huge intervention. Everyone can tell that Harv’s been off since the failed acid attack, and they’re worried as shit. Harvey would try to deflect and deny, but that wouldn’t last long.

The dude likely breaks down, and there’s a big group hug or some shit, and they all get Harvey to promise that he’ll go to therapy to deal with all of these things he’s feeling. And to to therapy he does! Cause his friends and family aren’t dicks and there’s no mental health stigma!

And then shit starts to look up. Harvey goes to see a therapist twice a week for a few months (and then once a week for longer after), and he learns healthy coping mechanisms. Two Face (or rather the emotions associated with him) are not repressed, but they’re dealt with in a manner that is healthy mentally.

Harvey starts to keep a journal or something so that he has an outlet for his emotions, he talks things through with people he trusts, he tones down some of his nonsense at the office and in court, and he works with Gorden and Batman when he has the time.

That’s another thing he works on- he has to learn not to overwork himself. He keeps a schedule. One day a week he forces himself not to do anything case related. Usually he spends it with his family or Bruce. Beyond that, he keeps the amount of cases he takes down to a sane level.

All of these things make for a healthier, happier, and more productive Harvey Dent. But Harvey does keep up his old tricks. He’s still after the crime families in Gotham, and he’s still dedicated to improving life in the city. He is by no means not a threat to the evil in the city.

Working with Gordon and Batman, the trio’s success rate for exposing and dealing with extreme criminals raises exponentially.

Maybe I’ll write something on the politics of that in another post, but I’m keeping this Harvey centered.

Tl;dr: Harvey Dent may avoid scarring, but Two Face is more than the scars. He’d have to go through therapy before reaching his full potential, especially after a life threatening even like an acid attack.

Well @frostbite883, I feel like if they were to fuse they’d be the most psychotic person in the whole universe. Rick is already a psychopath who doesn’t give two shits and Vegeta is also a psychopath who doesn’t give two shits. This fusion could do whatever the hell they want. They have both brains and brawn which is like insanely cool! Vick could take over the whole universe I think. TumblrFrostbite's Public Message: Do you think Ava Sharpe will be the head of the Time Bureau sooner or later? Also, how antagonistic or antagonistic-like do you think Ava and the rest of the Time Bureau could be towards the Legends over time if they NEVER worked together with them (like they already had throughout the following episodes of the third season)?

I’m gonna level with you, I really don’t like the whole Time Bureau plot and unfortunately Ava falls into that. The fact that it looks like they’re going to be pushing her to be Sara’s love interest after several episodes of just being insulting and I’m just gonna say it mean to her and the team, it’s just boring and I don’t like it.  

That being said I don’t think Ava is going to be the Head of the TB, maybe at the end of the season, but I see the TB going out the same way as the Time Masters, only it being Mallus who does them in.  They’re a lot less competent than the Legends are even if they and the show pretends otherwise and they lack the superpowers the Legends have.  I’m pretty sure Ava’s gonna survive though, maybe she’ll join the team or kind of be like the Rip, drifting through the episodes but never officially joining the team.  

I can’t see the TB and Ava being antagonistic towards the Legends anymore seeing as they don’t have the man power anymore to chase them over Mallus.  Not to mention that the Legends have the win in the newest episode, a class 14 I believe, that the TB just ignored, even if they try it’s quite a strike against them.

TumblrFrostbite's AU Question: If, way back during the Freeza Saga, Vegeta had received immortality by the Namekian Dragon before Guru died (his death rendering the Namekian Dragon Balls useless), what would Vegeta's reactions be to being an immortal? How would Vegeta and Freeza's battle with each other go in this scenario? Finally, would Vegeta had defeated his former master as an immortal? Or rather an IMMORTAL Prince?

 If Dande actually goes through with it I think initially Vegeta would be psyched! But the story would play out as usual so when Vegeta gets to fight with Frieza everything plays out like before, he realizes that just because he is immortal doesn’t mean he could beat Frieza. When he goes to fight Frieza in his final form Frieza kicks his butt and shoots a beam through his heart, but since Vegeta is immortal he is in constant pain, since no one can heal him he has to live with that pain he has been inflicted with…bruises, Broken bones, a hole through the heart and gasping for air he can’t breathe.

When he gets shipped to earth with the rest of our heroes everyone is conflicted with what to do with him. He was a horrible person but the absolute misery on Vegeta’s Face is gut-wrenching. Maybe Gohan tries to convince Dende to heal him, but Dande would flat out say no. The gang tries to come up with another solution, they want to help but they can’t trust him, the compromise they come up with is that Bulma will put him in one of those sleeping pods that will heal him slowly but will put Vegeta in a sleeping stasis, while he is sleeping they wish on the dragon to remove his immortality.

Now one of two things can happen… they keep him in stasis until the Frieza arrives on earth, or after they undid his immortality they gave him a senzu bean and he goes searching for Goku. If the second scenario plays out he would first lash out at the gang for taking his immortality and keeping him locked up but secretly be relieved he was free of immortality.

It never occurs to anyone that just because you’re immortal doesn’t mean you get instantaneous regeneration or power boosts. The reason why characters like garlic jr. and Zamasu can heal easily is because they’re magical beings and have to the ability to heal themselves prior to immortality.

If it were up to me immortality for a mortal is like a monkey paw’s wish, you get what you wish for but the consequences are incomprehensibly worse.

TumblrFrostbite's AU Public Message: If Barry Allen and Eobard Thawne merged/fused/combined with each other (albeit for their own reasons) into an entirely different speedster who equals in power to Savitar, how well would he against the Big Bad? What happens if the merger between Barry and Eobard was permanent?

I have to admit my first thought was: “If it was permanent, how would they have sex? D:” (Sorry not sorry... haha)

I think they’d have difficulty against a Big Bad, not due to lack of speed (they’d be far and away the fastest thing in existence) but because of their constant bickering. Eo would be like “All right, hand through chest time” and then Barry would be all “NO” and grab control of the hand and the next thing they know they’d just gotten their butt kicked clear out of Central City. 

I imagine there’s be a lot of that going on until the Big Bad made it clear how Unambiguously Evil they were, kicking puppies etc, and then Barry would finally (reluctantly) get on board with defeating them by whatever means necessary. And Eobard, in exchange for getting to say “I told you so” as many times as he pleases, would probably agree to at least attempt lifelong imprisonment before death, mostly because he knows that it will never work and they will have no choice (alas, woe) but to kill the Big Bad. He may mostly manage to contain his smugness; how well he succeeds affects how much sex he gets afterwards. Assuming they de-merge and he can ever get sex again.

...I have no idea what would happen if the merger was permanent. I think they might kill each other. I’m probably not the person you want answering that question, but fear not, for I shall call in an assist! @elrhiarhodan, you had an Eo-lives-in-Barry’s-head headcanon a while back - can you offer something better for @frostbite883′s question?

TumblrFrostbite's AU Questions: If Frieza had quickly finished off Son Goku on Planet Namek after the man used his Spirit Bomb against the emperor, what would Piccolo, Son Gohan and Krillin's thoughts and feelings be to seeing Goku get killed by their latest enemy? What would they had done afterwards?

Planet Namek was engulfed in a blinding white light of powerfollowed by a thunderous boom. The area were Goku’s Spirit Bomb fell crackedopen the earth of the green planet at the bottom of one of it’s many seas,where Frieza was last seen. While the Spirit bomb had managed to sendshockwaves that erased the clouds and land, the sea returned once more, ragingdown the fresh crater and quickly filling it up. The sea, although empty ofNamek’s native lifeforms, still held the lives of two beings, Goku and Piccolo.

Piccolo had his eyes locked onto Goku. The rushing of thesea was carrying both he and the orange clad warrior swiftly, and just out ofPiccolo’s reach. Goku, himself, looked like he was reaching out to Piccolo,despite being unconscious. The rushing sea was carrying him feet first awayfrom Piccolo, while Piccolo had his arms out in front of him, chasing Gokudown. Piccolo managed two agonizing kicks forward that placed him withinreaching Goku and grasped the unconscious warrior by his shirt. The combinationof the raging sea currents and fresh injuries however, hindered the namekianfrom being able to make any attempt toward the surface. Piccolo managed tograsp Goku under both his arms just before they reached the epicenter of theSpirit Bomb, where the sea was converging together from all sides. The force ofraging water meeting raging water knocked Goku back against Piccolo, causing anunintentional headbutt between the two. Piccolo mentally cursed at Goku forreminding him that he had such a hard head. The converged crashing of the seacurrents, though violent, turned a bit helpful, churning both Goku and Piccoloaway and upward to the surface. Piccolo reinforced his grip under Goku’s armsand slowly kicked upward,

“ It’s over,” Piccolo thought to himself, eyes now fixed onthe gleaming surface of water above him, “I’m alive, Gohan’s alright, and Gokudid it. He defeated Frieza!”. Piccolo grinned in spite of himself. Somewherebetween his death on Earth and his revival on Namek, his once equal and rivalhad greatly surpassed him in strength. He’ll need to fix that with intensetraining when he got back home. Piccolo kicked harder, now reaching the neartop where the suns light was still visible through the water. He reached out,ready to grab hold of a ledge of land and pull the both of them up, when he noticeda sharp tug from below. Piccolo looked down, and time stopped. His wide eyesmet with the one opened furious eye of Frieza. His pale left hand was graspingGoku’s left leg preventing them from ever reaching the surface. Frieza draggedboth Goku and Piccolo back down into the deeper water with his left hand whilehis right hand glowed menacingly with red energy. Frieza brought his right handup swiftly, once more, causing Goku and Piccolo to gently knock heads again.This time, Piccolo’s thoughts weren’t on how hard Goku’s head was, it was thesame thought that went through Goku’s head, along with the burning red energyfrom Frieza’s fingers,

“…Gohan”

Krillin and Gohan stood together atop a small chunk of land.Both were scanning the surface of the turbulent water around them, looking forany sign of life. The immediate landscape of Planet Namek was now completelyunrecognizable. Krillin hoped the same would be true for Frieza. Both wereworried that they couldn’t sense the energy from Piccolo or Goku, but nervouslyagreed that it was to be expected. Piccolo used everything he had to keepFrieza distracted while Goku gathered energy for the Super Spirit Bomb andlater directed it at Frieza himself. It’s no wonder they wouldn’t be able tosense either of them, they’re most likely exhausted.

 An ice cold feelingsuddenly gripped Gohan’s heart as he looked out over the water. He could havesworn he heard his name being called, by both Piccolo and his father, but hecouldn’t see either. He reached out and grabbed Krillin’s arm unsteadily andlooked at him. Krillin smiled grimly at Gohan,

“It’s ok, Gohan. This is your dad we’re talking about, he’scome back from a lot worse fights than this”, Krillin said. In truth, he waspartially trying to comfort himself with his words, along with Gohan. He didn’twant to admit it, but he distinctly felt a sudden cold drop in his stomach. Hegave Gohan’s hand one last squeeze of reassurance before they both noticed theenergy coming from the sea in front of them. The cold pit feeling over tookboth Gohan and Krillin for a few solid seconds. The bursting figure from thewater several hundred yards away snapped Krillin out of his shock soon enoughto grab Gohan by the hand and yank him down behind the small mass of land wherethey stood and into the water. He, nor Gohan, even dared to look beyond theland where they hid.

Frieza hung in the sky of Namek, panting loudly beforethrowing his fists above his head and letting out a triumphant cackle. Red andpink energy shot out from his body chaotically as he laughed even louder,

“I’VE FINALLY DONE IT!”, he screamed, “ALL THOSE RETCHEDMONKIES ARE ERADICATED, BY THE HAND OF THE ALL MIGHTY FRIEZA!! He laughed againand looked around him

“Now, where are those other two pip squeaks?” said Frieza ashe rose in the air. The sea was still rough with a light spray coming down,causing a rainbow to be visible. Frieza grinned evilly and looked around at thescattered bits of tiny islands left behind from the Spirit Bomb. Some were toosmall to be much of a hiding place. Only the ones with larger than normalridges were met with a blast from Frieza, but Gohan or Krillin could not befound. Frieza thought for a moment, and then started laughing again,

“To think, that orange monkey’s ace in the hole to destroyme only succeeded in insuring the death of his comrades and himself!” Friezalet out one last howl of laughter before erupting through the sky and over thehorizon, leaving the now settling sea. Once the great power of Frieza was farenough away, Gohan and Krillin emerged from the water sputtering and gaspingalong the edge of one of the spared islands. They both sat down on the smallisland, back to back, exhausted and cold.

“I don’t get it, Krillin,”said Gohan, “Where did Dad go? Andwhy didn’t the Spirit Bomb work?”

“I don’t know, Gohan. I thought that Spirit Bomb would work,it was more massive than anything I’ve ever seen. But seriously don’t worry aboutGoku, he knows better to lay low in this situation, once we regroup, he’ll knowwhat to…”Krillin trailed off as he glanced to his right. Gohan perked up andstarted to turn to Krillin,

“Krillin, what is it?” Krillin held out his hand and stoppedGohan from turning any further,

“…Gohan….stay here…” Krillin said in a voice that onlyconcerned Gohan even more as Krillin slowly drifted off the island and towardsthe right to a small group of large rocks in the water. Gohan rose as well, notwanting to be left behind. Once he almost caught up to him, Krillin suddenlyspun around and held Gohan back.

“Gohan…go back”, said Krillin, his voice void of nearly allhis energy.

“What is it Krillin?” asked Gohan, nervously.

“Go back, Gohan”, Krillin repeated.

“Krillin…what is it?” Gohan demanded.

“Please….go back” whispered Krillin.

“Krillin!” Gohan shouted and grabbed his friend by theshoulders, “What is it!?” Krillin stared at Gohan, Gohan thought is facesuddenly looked sunken and old, and he didn’t want to hear Krillin’s answer. Krillinwas clapsing his mouth shut tight, and eventually gritted his teeth and let outa loud sob. Gohan began to shake his head slowly, repeating Krillin’s name. Hethen roughly pushed Krillin aside and moved forward, but stopped againabruptly. Gohan let out a strangled whimper as he looked down. Tangled togetherin the broken rocks of island were the bodies of Goku and Piccolo. Piccolo wasface down with his arm over Goku’s chest, while Goku floated on his back, hiseyes staring blankly toward the green sky. Both had a solid hole through theirheads, with the water around their bodies stained in blood. Gohan collapsed tothe rocks where his father and mentor floated and threw his arms around both.He sobbed into both of their necks before raising his head and letting out ahysterical scream. Krillin joined Gohan on the rocks and embraced him strongly.It would be hours before they were strong enough to carry back their fallenfather and friend in their search for Bulma.

Lockdown I figure will be an ever growing threat to good much like Kamala is an ever growing hero. Discord I think is on his way to reforming if he hasn’t already.

Well unless I’m missing something Space and Time are not Singularity’s parents as much as I’d love that, that’s just me joking about that one tumblr post. Technically the closest thing she’d have to an actual “blood” family member is theoretically Doctor Doom. After all she seems to be a creation of the very fabric of reality saved by God Doom during Secret Wars though he never knew he made her.

I like to believe Thor would be impressed by Diana’s ability to lift the hammer. And it would make him wonder about her, probably. He would definitely want to help, even before being able to lift the hammer. Maybe that would be the moment/time where he is considered worthy again, his determination to help would ‘convince’ Mjolnir.

Maybe Diana and Thor would travel the world or visit Asgard together? They would try to experience the human world, and see the differences between their respective homes.

Did you talk Flash with Geoff? Or was it before the show?

The first time was during S1 of the show, at the B&N release of Batman: Earth One Vol. 2, and I told him that one of the best aspects of the show was its diversity. I asked if Iris would remain black in the movie, and he said he couldn’t speak to that yet. But he agreed that Candice was a wonderful Iris and said he loved her dearly.

The next time was at Heroes For Heroes, and we just said we missed his writing on Flash and congratulated DC on Wonder Woman getting rave reviews.

I don’t see that happening on the show unless it was the final season, but it is definitely something that will happen in these characters’ lives imo. Eventually Wally will fully come into his own and Barry will see that it’s ok to be happy and just live. But of course, he will put that Flash suit back on the second someone needs him, so it’ll be a very on-and-off retirement. I feel like Barry lasted a month in retirement with Iris before he sacrificed himself to save the world in Crisis.

Also, what happens if a solution was found and used, but it resulted in Savitar's powers ending up gone (despite the fact that he can now exist, especially in the present)?

Well, I’m personally of the belief that Team Flash had no intention of helping Savitar. Under other circumstances, maybe, but I believe this was their tactic to get him to not do any more damage before he disintegrated in a few hours. B/c really…how in the world could they get him to stay around without creating the circumstances that made Savitar who he is to begin with? At best, they could take away some of Savitar’s pain, so when he ceased to exist he’d at least be at peace, no longer carrying around the anger vengefulness that had driven him for who knows how many years.

But if - for the sake of your question - Team Flash had figured out a way to save Savitar in every sense of the word and actually gone through with it… Like…idk? Since Sav was Barry once upon a time, in his own twisted way, he’s still in love with Iris. Being unable to have her b/c Our Barry does would’ve really messed with him (as we saw starting to happen in the episode). He wouldn’t have been able to find true happiness with anyone other than her, because Iris is his soulmate. Maybe they could find a Barry-less Iris on another earth and try to make something happen there… But I mean, they would have to convince that Iris to give him a shot. He’s a Barry and maybe she loved a Barry there once or something, but he’s still a psychotic serial killer who wanted to kill another version of her, so… Honestly, I’m at a loss. He’d have to win everybody’s trust over time, but as we saw him, he obviously felt they needed to earn his trust, so…it’d just be a really complicated situation. I guess him losing his powers would help and hurt in a way, b/c they’d feel less threatened by him maybe lashing out, but at the same time, he would feel powerless and maybe lash out in any way he could under tense enough circumstances.

Long story short, I haven’t the slight idea, @frostbite883. Lol. But thanks for the very interesting question. ;)
